A very nice little coffee shop. They have made to order food, not pre-packaged junk. It’s brand new, so everything was nice and shiny. I’m giving a 4 Star, only because the high potential this place has. We will probably give it a week or two before trying back, to give some time to settle. Here is why; Owner guy – Someone asked for the wifi password while we were waiting and you just played on your phone for a few more minutes until managing to get up and help him. I realize maybe you are working on a issue, maybe, but that’s not what it looked like. This is YOUR place, don’t snub your very first guests. Staff – Please look up and acknowledge that there are people on the other side of the counter. Don’t stay in the Starbucks mindset that they don’t exist, or you are supposed to be rude. One of the big things that’s going to keep you above Starbucks (that failed in that exact location) is going to be your personalities. Good luck!

Bark and the Bite – Menu with Prices – 2186 Marshall Ave, St Paul

The food for the most part was good. However, two things that really made my experience a frustrating one was: 1. The bun on my pulled pork sandwich was really burnt. After not touching our sandwich for over 10 minutes, the bartender failed to asked us if why we haven’t touch our sandwich yet? After stating the issue, he went back and got us two buns instead of taking the dish to the back to be replated. BBQ is messy and to ask a guest to literally take burnt buns of a pulled pork sandwich and have to reassemble it yourself is a rookie move by the staff. Furthermore, instead of apologizing, he gave an excuse that the reason for the buns being burnt is not because of the kitchen’s failure but more of the product because they just switched buns and they are having issues with it coming out burnt (sounds like an adjustment needed to be made) but instead, they did not. 2. The bartender failed to inform us of happy hour. I overheard a guest comment about their drink prices not being happy hour and the bartender made the adjustment and gave them happy hour prices. However, on our departure, when asked about the prices of our drinks, the bartender did not accommodate us. Furthermore, he failed to state happy hour selections to any of the other guests that sat at the bar. He should have made the price adjustments to our drinks being that he literally made those same adjustments for the guests that ordered right next to me. I would not recommend this for sit down dining because of the service issues. We spent $75 and felt robbed after what had happened. Either the bartender was not being honest about stating happy hour or intended for happy hour not to be recognized or was overwhelmed and could not relay that to the patrons at the bar. With that said, I am sad to say that I will not return. I was really looking forward to having a go to bbq spot near me but this will not be the one.

Tokyo House – Menu with Prices – 1957 N Peace Haven Rd, Winston-Salem

To the cashier girl!! Literally just left here, you have the worst attitude and are super rude, not friendly and clearly not happy. I ordered over $45 in takeout, the girl running the register looked like she hated her life the moment she saw customers walk in. I’ve worked in the restaurant business before, you learn to leave your problems at the door. Trying to be nice I left her a tip when paying. I go to sit and wait on my to go order, she brings the food out, I walk over to grab some white sauce which is beside the drink machine in squeeze bottles. I see there’s no lids so I walk up to ask for some and she says I need to open up my bag and give her back the sauces she already put in there first. I said oh I didn’t realize, I don’t want to waste the sauce I already poured, can I not just get a lid for it? she said no because it cost extra. The bag was tied tight so I had to rip open my bag and hand her the sauce back because I didn’t want to use my card for a tablespoon of sauce. Needless to say I didn’t get a new bag when it was obvious I had destroyed mine and I tipped the rudest teenager in the world. Apparently takeout customers who tip have to pay for sauce and people who dine in dont. Dont put it out to the public if its not free. Quit your job if you hate it so much. You guys need to fire this girl, she obviously doesn’t need the job that bad. The only positive side about this place is guys in the back look like they’re working hard and they make good food.

Scooter’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 5 Old 63 S, Columbia

I usually go to Starbucks on Broadway which I hate becausr ya know so i made a point to go to scooters. I asked for a medium mocha, the drive thru girl asked if i wanted that hot or cold. In my head i remember thinking why do they even ask that when it’s -15 °F and told her hot. When i got to the window they handed me a cold mocha, which looked great but not what i asked for. Usually I would live with the mistake cause i HATE making service industry people do more work that necessary (im a waitress) but i decided I would be unhappy if i didnt voice the error because just to clarify, I really wanted a hot mocha. I say it in the nicest, shyest, we all make mistakes sorta way as to make sure she didnt get upset or annoyed. The drive thru window girl then proceeded to disagree with me I said cold, almost argue…which was just awkward and i tried to give the mocha back that i hadnt even pulled through my window and she refused which i understand for health code but i wasn’t trying to get a cold mocha so it makes sense I would try to give it back. Scooters then does remake the hot mocha, but they had the manager give it to me and nobody said youre welcome when i said thank you or sorry, just “yup”. Pretty rude and i wouldn’t go back because the Starbucks on Broadway weirdly goes out of their way to be extra friendly and accomodating. And the prices are the same but they arent rude, EVER and i consider this starbucks super superior to any ive been to. Scooters made their own coffee taste bad to me, bad enough to leave this review. And with Starbucks right their, a giant competitor, I would have thought harder about how to treat customers in that manner. Won’t be going back! Hope they dont make you feel like human trash for telling them of their own mistakes in the nicest way possible!

Kroger Corporate Office Menu with Prices 2175 Parklake Dr NE, Atlanta

I am so tired of the grayson location and science highway location. The rules for coupons change daily. Now, the rain check rules are changing. This is a million dollar corporations and you are telling me that you cant hire staff the comprehend their store policies. You, have to always leave stressed out because of unprofessional behavior from the staff. Now I will be calling corporate today and file my formal complaint and lets see were tbis will lead. I dont want a song and dance. I want change in these stores when it come to using coupons. Stop being racist and stop stereotyping. All people are not the same. If I, could give a negative zero I would. I, dont want to hear that the manager changed and we have new people. Train your staff.

Tower Perks – Menu with Prices – 1521 S Staples St, Corpus Christi

This Starbucks is packed or dead. Depends on the time of day. Their service is great. The people are always nice and hard working. Helpful?

De Maria’s Seafood – Menu with Prices – 12544 Warwick Blvd, Newport News

This business failed to fill an order placed 2 weeks in advance ( ruining a surprise 70th birthday party) and did not apologize for their mistake. In fact they emplied I never placed the order . When I pointed out I saw them write my order in the order book they checked the book and clearly found my order but did not acknowledge that fact until I pressured them at which point they said theyâ? made a mistakeâ?. I asked them to do my order ( steam the lobsters and shrimp but I did cancel the clams) while I waited. I asked to use the phone to notify my waiting guests of the delay but was told I could use the phone after I paid for the order! I pai , made my call and my orde was processed. When I got home I realized I was short 1 lobster ( paid for six but received only 5). Also the lobster I did receive was undercooked. Problems identified with this business: employees do not â??ownâ? their errors, display passive aggressive behavior and provide poor quality end product. I give this busin as a â??zeroâ? rating

Subway Restaurants – Menu with Prices – 4973-A Clairemont Dr, San Diego

This used to be the subway i went to all the time growing up. I come every once in a while now. The past two times in a row coming here i now remember having the same employee both times. I think his name was “Kian” couldnt make out the nametag. But they were unwelcoming moments. I walk in and theres only one customer and its very slow. Shes almost done. As im walking he glances at me but doesn’t acknowledge me. No greeting or anything. Im standing and waiting for about 5 minutes until he finishes up with this customer. No issue. But when he finally comes to me he still doesnt say a word takes his time and then finally stops and looks at me. Again not a word. No apology or greeting. So i had to take the initiative and start the order. As hes doing it he does it so poorly like he doesnt want to be doing it. Hes half assing and throwing whatever he grabs in his hand on the sandwiches. I hardly get any words out of him other than “is that it?” When it came to paying he just told me my total and handed me my receipt . I usually dont care about how people act enough for me to complain like this but he held that vibe the whole way through. Whatever i guess â?

Twisters Soft-Serve Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 327 S Waverly Rd, Lansing

Good ice cream but the service could be better stood outside waiting to place my order for over 10 minutes employee came to the window multiple times but didn’t even acknowledge I was there. They have a order window and a pick up window but only were using the one window so I couldn’t even place my order until she had finished filling the other orders, I can understand them being busy but that’s when you at least acknowledge the customer and let them know you will be with them soon don’t just ignore them all together. Eventually I got tired of waiting and left disappointed guess I just have to drive a little further and stick to the Cedar St location I’ve never had an issue there.

Giacomo’s Espresso – Menu with Prices – 525 Scenic Dr, Modesto

I just realized I hadn’t written a Yelp review yet for here, and I definitely need to. A little less than a year ago, on my way to work in downtown I decided to stop here because I knew I wouldn’t have enough time for the Starbucks that is nearby. I have hardly been to Starbucks since (and I was a once/week Starbucks person) The lattes are really good, the bagels are always fresh, and the customer service is always spectacular! I hope that the staff here gets the recognition they deserve because I gotta tell ya, on those mornings when life is really hard and I stop in here and have just the briefest interaction with the people here, it helps me get through my morning. And the always hot coffee of course helps, too. ?

Ricciardis Italian Ice – Menu with Prices – 10835 Kings Rd, Myrtle Beach

We have been at Baywatch for a week and a half and they have a cart here. We have bought a cup of different flavors on 5 different occasions and everytime it was awesome, until tonight. The girl working was so busy talking to a guy (appeared to be a friend of hers) to even acknowledge my daughter when she walked up to order and the friend had to even point to my daughter for her to acknowledge her. Then my daughter ordered a cotton candy and a mango. The girl working proceeded to put both flavors in 1 cup. Wanna know what isn’t good together? Cotton candy and mango!! I told the girl that she ordered 1 of each to which the girl argued with me that she didn’t. I asked for a cup to separate the flavors and she said she couldn’t give me another cup without charging 4.00 for it!!! She took the mixed one from to to “fix” it. Well now I’m sitting here with a still very mixed mango/cotton candy concoction that no one is gonna eat because it is awful. Needless to say we wont be buying anymore since we just wasted 8.00 because this employee was more worried about socializing than taking care of the customer.

Cauldron Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 14001 Jeffrey Rd, Irvine

First the music was way too loud. So loud that the staff didn’t hear us coming in. My kid had two hand over the ears at this point to cover the noise. A staff was actually working on the machines or whatever under the counter and she didn’t see us nor heard us coming in until me and my kid had to speak super loud to hear each other. Instead of greeting us she shouted (since the music was super loud) for another staff in the back to come serve us. Even if you are busy you can at least acknowledge me and tell me that someone will be out in a min to take my order. The other came out, no smile. Well no smile no tips. I asked to lower the music, they did, then the volume went back up. We wanted to take it easy in this hot weather but we just hurried to eat to get out. Even the 2 staff had to pretty much shout to each other to talk. That pretty much ruins the whole experience. The ice cream is fine. Another customer came in after while the staff was preparing my order, same thing, he didn’t acknowledge the lady nor say hi for a good 2 min. No smile either. Not going back not recommending this place, there are other places that serve the same type of ice cream that does a better job at customer service.

Burger King – Menu with Prices – 8922 Airport Blvd, San Antonio

I work the front desk over night at a near by Hotel and recommend many places to eat in the area to guests including this place but in the mornings around 7 AM is when we get off, and my coworker and I wanted to go get some burgers Saturday morning after work for ourselves which previously had not been an issue, it was about an extra 8 minute wait since everything was setup for breakfast but waiting a little longer was no problem for us and at the time was no issue for the Burger King Staff either. Yesterday morning however we stop by after work for some burgers, and sadly the cashier at the front told us she had forgotten to turn on the grills or whatever and that it takes about 45 minutes to warm up… sounds like BS to me to be honest as I’ve worked in the food industry for over 15 years years prior to my position now and I’ve never heard of a 45 minute preheat time, so unless you have pizza ovens in the back this just sounds like a bad lie for someone who likely just deemed burgers as being too much work for them during morning hours. But anyway we ask the cashier if tomorrow, Sunday morning everything will be ready, she says yes, and we even told her we would call around 6 AM just to let them know around 7 we’d be coming by to order some burgers after work, well of course this morning at 6 AM we call and SHOCKER!! someone different with another BS excuse about how they wont be able to make burgers until 8 AM. Its been probably 10 years since I’ve even visited a Burger King but this location had recaptured my interest when it was built near my work so I figured I’d give BK another try, but clearly 10 years wasn’t enough time for Burger King to get its stuff together and I am clearly better off sticking with Whataburger or McDonalds as they have proven to be far superior in operations and customer satisfaction. We will not be recommending guests here any longer if this is the service that is to be expected, staff just lies and and makes excuses while keeping customers waiting, we waited all night two different nights in a row for burgers but Burger king seems too poorly managed to be able to handle a simple thing like Burgers… your Burger King, I mean really?? If burgers are this much of a hassle to get here at “BURGER KING” then you might as well close up shop cause you’re losing business from the people who would love to give you a second chance and recommend you to their guests but as of today Whataburger will gladly be getting my business, and be first on my recommendation list to our guests.
