Do not fall for the five star reviews! I am not one to write reviews but I had such a difficult time enjoying myself due to the poor service that I just had to write my first yelp review. To start off: This place was not timely in getting us seated despite a reservation. Upon getting into a room it took over an hour for an order of mozzarella sticks and they ran out of chicken tenders. While the songs are limited it was still fun and enjoyable. Room was big enough for the party. Unimpressed with the staff, service, and menu. The staff was overwhelmed by 6 orders and separate checks and needed to come back into the room numerous times. The first time the waitress came to take our orders she didn’t even have a pen and paper, therefore when we finished ordering she informed us she forgot and needed to go and get a pen and paper. My thoughts on the food: Portions were also small. A portion of chicken tenders is 2 strips and there are 5 mozzarella sticks in an order. All in all, the karaoke was good and I had a great time with my teammates. However, can’t speak to the quality of anything else. It took over two hours for food to be ordered, brought, and we are continuing to wait for the check 2+ hours later. Since they charge the rooms based by the hour and time spent in the room it all feels like a big scam and workers are not motivated to be efficient or organized. It has gotten to the point where every member of our party has complained and it feels as though they are holding us hostage because they have our credit cards (they take them when you order any food or drink). Take caution if you want to try your luck with this establishment.

New York pizza kitchen – Menu with Prices – 2-50 W South St, Orlando

Deserves ZERO stars! Literally the most horrible pizza place ever. Delivery took an hour for horrible, days old looking pizza, dry mozzarella sticks that came with ranch dressing, and soggy onion rings. Aside from everything being disgusting, the pizza order was wrong, they brought the wrong sodas as well and who serves mozzarella sticks with ranch dressing??? The driver didn’t even deliver to our room and asked us to walk to the lobby to pick up. He also made sure to tell us that tips weren’t included in the price which I’m pretty sure there WAS a delivery fee. Bottom line…Don’t trust a random flyer under your hotel door, esp if it has no location address AND read reviews before ordering anywhere!!

Foster’s Cafe & Bar – Menu with Prices – 6307 N Kings Hwy A, Myrtle Beach

We were desperate for something to eat late at night when everything else had closed down… Uber Eats listed one pizza joint I had already been disappointed with, and this place (Fosters) which had only a couple photos and reviews. I took a chance, and we ordered a couple of cheesesteaks, fries, and mozzarella sticks. I’ll be honest: I had super low expectations. LUCKILY, they exceeded my expectations more than I ever imagined. While the food was nothing to write home about, the cheesesteak was better than most of the hole in the wall food and many of the big money franchises alike at the beach. The fries didn’t travel well, and I’d skip those next time… but the mozzarella sticks were great. They were actually still warm, and tasted beer battered. All in all, I just wanted to give some credibility to this place for those of you in the same situation as I was. It may not be the first pick, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you don’t have incredibly high expectations. For a place that is apparently (according to other reviewers) a bar first, and restaurant second, I’m rounding this one up to four stars. Solid 3.5 at least. Haha!

Smoke BBQ Pit – Menu with Prices – 129-21 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica

This was my first time visiting this location. I have heard mixed reviews about this establishment and decided to give it a try. There was a party of four in my group to dine in. When we first entered no one was there to greet us. We did not know if we had to seat ourselves or wait for someone to greet us. We proceeded to the takeout counter & the cashier there instructed us to sit anywhere. Her attitude was very nonchalant. Our server was a male with a short high top Afro; the one like Kid from “Kid N play.” He was a cool guy. No complaints with him. He came & took our order and went on his way. The food was good! We had mozzarella sticks which were cold ! We sent them back which we normally never do (send back food) but they arrived better even though they probably just heated it up super fast cause they served us the same exact order which was fine. I also had fries which were good. The onion rings were okay. My guests had cheeseburgers which they said was really good and I had chili “something” wings. We also ordered coladas. I had a Virgin strawberry colada and my guests had mango & another had Henny colada which they said were super strong! Haha . The bill was about $100 for 2 burgers , 2 orders of mozzarella sticks, Onion rings, fries and 12 piece chili teriyaki wings along with a Henny , mango, and strawberry colada plus a strawberry lemonade. Oh I forgot to mention that I didn’t like that they advertised this new flavor of wings but charge a $1 extra for them because I don’t recall seeing the $1 extra charge on the menu but it was on our receipt but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall this was cool place, the service was decent and the food was good.

El Patron Restaurant & Bar – Menu with Prices – 2520 K Ave Suite 100, Plano

Don’t listen to the reviews! This place is nowhere near authentic Mexican or close to a restaurant. We walked in and no one greeted us. The owner and waiter were in an involved conversation and let us wander for a few minutes. Once we got service, we looked over the menu. Half the menu is only available for the 1st half of the day, the other half is available for the 2nd half of the day. The were several misspellings and wrong translations. The waiter brought out chips and salsa, but as you can see from the picture attached, it was just tomato juice. There was no heat, nor flavor. There are no fresh “aguas”. I ordered mozzarella sticks and the beef enchiladas with a meat sauce. The mozzarella sticks were battered, which made them extremely salty. The waiter brought me chicken enchiladas with a green sauce, not what I ordered. The food was not delicious. Food out of a can tastes better than what they serve here. Save your stomach and taste buds….. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Freezer’s Sports Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 83 E Broadway Rd, Tempe

I have been here one time and will not go back. I am a server and have never in my life complained or wrote a review. I have also never been in a situation where I needed to leave one. However I went to watch the game last night with 2 friends. It took 30 mins before we were even greeted. And even then we were only greeted because the manager came to our table to ask if we’ve been helped. Finally the manager gets us a server. We ordered onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and queso dip. Our simple little appetizers took another 20 minutes to come out. At this point we called the manager over again, he tells us he is sorry and will take care of it. Our food was cold when it finally arrived, but we were so hungry and upset we didn’t complain. We got our bill and it was discounted 1/2 way. However our items were on happy hour which were $5 each so we were charged full price and discounted on the full price. It would have been cheaper for us to pay the happy hour price. And had it not been for the game we would have not stayed. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this place. Believe the reviews!

Slice of Italian Heaven – Menu with Prices – 4985 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee

This place is an end to end disaster. Order pizza/wings from ANYWHERE else. Delivery took over 2 hours for 2 pizzas, some onion rings, and some mozzarella sticks. When the items finally arrived, they were cold (obviously) and they “must have forgotten” the 2nd pizza. The delivery girl backed off $14 at the door. When I got upstairs, I found the mozzarella sticks void of cheese, packed in the same container as the onion rings, and surrounded by dirty ketchup packets (no marinara). When I called back to the store to speak with a manager, I was told the manager was not going to be in until 10:30 PM and that the store was “a cluster f**k” right now. I was given the mobile number of “David” and was asked by the cook to send him a text to discuss a cash refund. I sent an informative text but have yet to receive any form of response. I really wish I had looked this place up before calling a number on a flyer. Believe EVERY review on this site. This establishment is truly 1 star.

Nick’s Italian Pizza – Menu with Prices – 714 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City

I go here from time to time. The pizza here is great! 2 big slices of pizza and a drink for 6 bucks. Quite a few people come here during lunch hour. Pros: great menu variety. One of the few places that can have options besides pizza. If I’m not in mood for pizza, I get one of the 12 inch sub sandwiches. As for sides, good salads, fries and mozzarella sticks. But here’s something that will make your mouth water. Bacon cheese fries!!! And it’s mozzarella. Great staff too. Always friendly and helpful. Cons: if you’re strapped for time then order by phone. Just know that they there’s a minimum dollar amount. There isn’t much in the way of parking spots. But if your okay with a bit of walking then your good. If your in the area and have a good appetite and want to save some money then go here. But be careful, you might wind up enjoying it too much. ð???ð???ð???

Casa Della Mozzarella – Menu with Prices – 604 E 187th St, The Bronx

I went pretty far out of my way for some mozzarella from Casa, and I WOULD DO IT EVERY DAY IF I COULD. The mozzarella is THAT amazing! I am a mozzarella purist. I eat my mozzarella at room temperature, with a knife and fork, and I try to eat it within 1 day of purchasing. I love mozzarella so much, I spent several months trying to perfect my own recipe. I failed miserably at this, because I think you need to be pure magic to make mozzarella as good as Casa’s. So.. the mozzarella. It was stringy, soft, and juicy. It was perfectly salty. A true melt-in-your-mouth, eyes-roll-back-in-your-head experience. I also tried a sandwich, which was quite good. I had the “Casa”, which was prosciutto, mozzarella, peppers and balsamic sauce. The bread was excellent and super fresh also, but I was SO anxiously anticipating eating more of the straight mozzarella, I couldn’t fully enjoy it. I will dream about this mozzarella until I make it back to NY. For real.

Seafood and More Garners Ferry – Menu with Prices – 8006 Garners Ferry Rd Ste C, Columbia

Passing through South Carolina, I used Yelp to find a dinner stop. Based on previous reviews, we selected this spot. First of all, it is a bit of a hike off the highway at about 12 miles from I-20. It is counter service, so ordering was quick. Nice selection of options – chicken, shrimp, crab… cooked in various methods. We tried the spicy garlic shrimp, chicken tenders, corn on the cob, white rice, boiled eggs, steamed broccoli, French fries, boiled potatoes, and sausage. A nice variety of flavors. All was tasty: corn was sweet and cooked well, though my young daughter was unhappy with all the paprika sprinkled on it. Shrimp was a lot of work to peel and eat, but had a good flavor. My husband preferred the sausage, cooked in the same seasoning. Chicken tenders had a thick batter, but the kids enjoyed them. Fries were crispy, but nothing out of the ordinary. The place was constantly busy, and we did wait about half an hour for our food, though smaller orders were placed and received during that time. Bathrooms and dining area were both clean and well decorated. Wouldn’t necessarily drive out of my way to go there again, but it was good.

Roots Chicken Shak – Menu with Prices – 7800 Windrose Ave, Plano

Like most of the places in Legacy Food Hall, I did not expect much from this spot. However, I was blown away of how good the chicken was. Gosh! I ordered three wings, but I ended up getting four. With the wings came three sauces, in which I got honey mustard, ranch, and BBQ sauce. The chicken was juicy, perfectly fried, and very flavorful. They were made to order, so I had to wait a few minutes before I can munch on the wings. I guess the duck fat really makes a difference! Also, the price is really good for only $7! The rest of the menu includes sandos as well as chicken tenders. They also offer drinks like kool aid and teas, which I thought was very cool. I would like to try their tenders one day. The staff was pretty friendly and they were working hard to get a lot of orders in during the time I went. Overall, this is a solid fried chicken spot at Legacy Food Hall and is now one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Pastabilities – Menu with Prices – 1726 Battleground Ave, Greensboro

Absolutely one of my favorite places to go when I want good service, a good drink, AND a great meal! You really can’t go wrong. This place has affordable prices, heaping portions, and great atmosphere for a cute little date night or for a quick catch-up meal with friends, oh and did I mention the homemade desserts! Yummyyyyy!!! Pro Tips: For apps I’d say try the mozzarella-luna, essentially mozzarella sticks in the shape of half moons. I really am NOT a mozzarella stick girl, it’s just not my go-to app. But these I order them every time. It comes 3 per order, which honestly I could eat by myself. But of course, I’m nice enough to share. Lol. I’ve also had the calamari but it pales in comparison. I love the chicken parm which is a healthy portion of pasta along with 3 chicken tenders smothered in a marinara sauce. Delicious. I add the spicy spice to my order because I like a little heat! This entree also comes with a side salad! The sea caper for my seafood lovers is a great dish as well. It’s also served with a marinara sauce but it’s a lighter sauce, not as thick as the one that comes with the chicken parm. No side salad accompanied with this entree but all entrees come with a garlic roll. Desserts change depending on the season. In the summer the strawberry cake is deeeeelllllliiissshhh!! Homemade and finger licking good. It’s a large portion, you’ll have to share! Let’s talk alcohol! Try the Berry Blast, it’s a tequila mixed drink with, of course, berries. It sounds sweet but it’s not too sweet. Actually it’s kind of refreshing. Jarett hates fruity drinks and actually wished he would have ordered the Berry Blast! That’s all I have on this little gem that’s nestled in a shopping plaza on Battleground. Just go in, seat yourself at a table or pull up a seat at the bar. Grab a glass of wine or try the Berry Blast! Eat pasta! Eat dessert! Be happy!

KC Pretzel Boy’s – Menu with Prices – 9559 Nall Ave, Overland Park

My office has had pretzel boys in the past and everyone loved it. So when people found out that I was ordering the personalized letter pretzels for an upcoming party everyone was excited. Two weeks before the scheduled event I called pretzel boys and asked them about the order process. I was told that I only needed to give them 24 hours notice for the special order. I called them 28 hours in advance and was told that they could not have it ready in time. I explained that when I talked with them 2 weeks ago I was told that 24 hours notice was all they needed. What was confusing is the guy on the phone kept repeating, “yeah, we need to know 24 hours in advance.” Well, I’m giving you 28 hours in advance… he did not offer to let me talk with a manager or give any kind of apology for the “mix up”. BE WARNED: get your order in EARLY because “24 hours” in advance is NOT accurate.
