Nice people and the sound systems are good. Great and unique experience for a first date. It’s fun, but, eat before you go, the food is pricey and meh

8KKM Karaoke – Menu with Prices – 1855 Pembina Hwy #101b, Winnipeg

They must have had an interior renovation because now the place is beautiful! They have both chinese systems where you pick the songs off the computer and korean systems where you order songs off the giant binder. The chinese systems menu is in chinese and the korean systems menu is in korean so it would be helpful to have someone that reads either chinese and korean. The chinese and korean song selection is quite updated however the english songs are not. Also they only have bottled water so no tap water here!

Shakti Sound Bath: Ana Netanel – Menu with Prices – 11943 Montana Ave, Los Angeles

This was my first sound bath experience, and it was so amazing!! I came here on 11/11 so given the date and meaning behind it (higher vibrations and higher spiritual enlightenment), the class had about a hundred people show up. So naturally with the high volume of attendees, everyone’s mats were literally touching each other. While waiting for the class to start, I witnessed two women (one next to me and the other in front of me) get into a heated argument because one claims the other is kicking her while the other feels entitled because she said she had arrived there earlier. To my relief, the situation didn’t escalate!! Ana came up front to greet all of us, and you can’t help but feed off of her positive and spiritual energy. She introduced the rest of the sound healers and what they represented. The sound bath was truly soothing and I went into a deep meditative lucid state, and woke up feeling so relaxed. I even heard someone snore in the beginning haha! When I did a quick Google search for soundbaths, Ana’s class was one of the most recommended in LA area. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in meditation to try Ana’s class as your 1st sound bath. I overheard someone say that normally the class has a smaller group, so I can imagine the experience would be way more intimate and tranquil. Either way, I would be happy to attend again. Thank you, Ana!

The Focal Point – Menu with Prices – 2720 Sutton Blvd, St. Louis

I attended the 3 Pints Gone concert at The Focal Point. A longtime fan of 3 Pints Gone, I have to say this is a great venue to hear them in. The venue is a fairly small venue, but offers a nice stage and quality sound. There are discounts available for nearby restaurants, and there is a connected restaurant for drinks during the concert. The chairs are okay; they’re wooden, theater-like chairs, which aren’t the most comfortable, but they’re not horrible; the folks at Focal Point make sure to let you know there are extra cushions available, if you want. The sound quality here was wonderful; amplification is well done and provides the right sound for the venue, and given the participation 3 Pints Gone generally inspires, it is exceptionally important to this group in particular. This was probably the most ‘wow’ part of the experience. There is parking nearby, but it’s not necessarily the easiest thing to find if you don’t know the area. Look at the cross streets, and one has a large parking lot.A good experience, and definitely a better one than many semi-pro places, but between parking, signage, and the chairs, I can’t give Focal Point 5 stars. But this is definitely a place worthy checking out if you’re big into music and appreciate quality sound.

Manatee Performing Arts Center – Menu with Prices – 502 3rd Ave W, Bradenton

Visually, this space is five stars. This theatre is beautiful! Both the interior and exterior have that old feel of Broadway luxury with the upgrades of modern theatres thrown in. The Stone Hall (Main Stage Theatre) is a standard proscenium set up. The seating is very nice. The seats are large and comfortable. I sat in the back row, where sightlines were not an issue, and they have ample space in front of them so that you don’t even to stand to let someone pass. A big bonus! The sound booth is situated house left, towards the back, but still in front of a few of the rows of seats. It isn’t a sightline issue, but while watching “A Chorus Line,” where there seemed to be an inordinate amount of sound issues, I found myself a bit distracted by the amount of activity over there. The sound issues cost them half a star. Perhaps the sound is usually very good, but when you are billed as a Performing Arts Center and one of your main offerings is what you bring to your stage and share with your audience, the lighting and sound are inextricably linked to the overall experience. Some of the mics were too hot and offered feedback and some seemed turned off completely. The other half of a star was lost because of the parking. Such a large and elegant theatre space, I think the parking lot should match. Parking seems to be a crucial detail often forgotten. If you want to attract new people to your space, you need to make it easy to get there. Bradenton is a smaller city, and there is more than enough surrounding area to pave, but the MPAC has opted to leave it grass and dirt. I came on a particularly rainy evening, pulled my car into the “lot” and was greeted with mud on my nice shoes. They do offer a valet service, but the walk from the “parking lot” to the theatre is short, the valet service waiting line was rather long, and I don’t see the necessity to charge me to park when the ticket price itself was near 30.00. Overall, a great experience. I would return, but not on a rainy evening.

Sun Tiki Studios – Menu with Prices – 375 Forest Ave, Portland

Ian is passionate about what he does and he’s doing his best to make a very cool thing happen for the Portland area. The space is clean, the sound is great for live bands, and Ian makes sure everyone is taken care of at shows. Can’t say enough nice things about this place. The practice rooms are great and they’re only $10/hour, full stocked with amps, drum kits, etc. I play in a touring band and we played here last night for the first time and it was such a positive experience I felt like other people needed to know! Places like this are few and far between so appreciate and SUPPORT them any way you can.

Temescal Brewing – Menu with Prices – 4115 Telegraph Ave, Oakland

I’m going to give this a 3 star not because the beer or food was bad but because I had an interesting experience. The night i went in I had been ordering beers and left a tab open. I ordered a flight and another pint of beer (which I ordered at two separate times) I don’t know if there was a miscommunication but when I came to pay my tab, I was informed that my transaction had already went through and I was paid out. I was confused because I was not the one that closed out my own tab. The bartender looked my name up and i asked him what was charged and he said the flight only. I then stated that I had ordered another drink and that should have been on my tab as well. then he also said there were apparently two systems connected as one for both locations and that’s where it might have been screwed up. This is where I get sketched out because after all this I asked if there was a tip left on the bill and he said yes! There was a 20% tip. Now I don’t mind paying my bill and tipping because I usually tip 20% in general but the fact that I was NOT the one that closed out my own tab and approved of this transaction is not okay. I also know that some places have a rule of you forget your card over night then you get charged a tip on the card but this wasn’t the case. I was also then charged for my second drink which I had to pay for on a separate bill. Even if they have two systems it shouldn’t be connected for this reason because I’m pretty sure you could get in a lot of trouble with these types of incidents I’m not fishing for free stuff but I’m just disappointed that he didn’t even offer to take the second beer off or something because that’s what I would have done in that situation or even gotten a manager. But I understand business is business and you can’t give away free stuff all the time. ANYWAY at the end of the day I just kinda wanted some answers and also to warn if you leave a tab open. If I come back I’m definitely bringing cash only just as a precaution.

f/Stop Fitzgerald’s Public House – Menu with Prices – 335 Grove St NE, Salem

Sometimes you stumble upon a place that is just perfect. This simple, cozy, beer house was the best place for a date night or a night out with friends. I went here on a first date and I have to say this place was the perfect wingman! Small but perfect beer menu and the cozy, hipster atmosphere was perfect for an intimate conversation. I love that you can get comfortable in the living room or play board games while sitting close on one of the couches. If the weather is nice you can also step outside onto their clean and comfortable patio for a conversation under the stars. A unique, amazing bar that I’d recommend to anyone visiting the Salem area or passing through. One of the coolest places I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting and I’d highly recommend to anyone who loves beer and great conversation!

Next Level Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3802 E Harry St, Wichita

Love this place. I’ve visited multiple times and it has been an amazing experience every time. Plenty of monitors and computers for a large amount of people and amazing environment to game in. Walked in and the guy was having a conversation with someone I assume is a regular but he wasted no time helping me. He stopped mid-sentence to see what I needed and make sure I had everything I needed. Super cheap and amazingly fast internet. Plus you get a discount if all you need is a monitor and internet usage. I bring my systems up to update and play online while I currently dont have internet. Anyway long review short. Great atmosphere, great group of guys, very very knowledgable about a extremely wide variety of games, plus they are very helpful and will offer tips and strategies when in a tough spot. I will definantly be returning and will more than likely become a regular of this amazing establishment. Also they have great food. Family and kid friendly. Also great place to meet some new people and make new friends in the gaming community. But from what i hear they have plans that will make it a place where everyone can have fun gamer or not.

Kava Culture Kava Bar – Menu with Prices – 514 N Franklin St # 102, Tampa

I had a great experience at Kava Culture Kava Bar! This downtown spot is very unique. I wish more people knew about this place. It’s a place to relax and wind down with a very mellow vibe. Travis made my fiancé and I a wonderful pineapple guava elixir. I wasn’t sure what I wanted since it was my first time there. I told him I wanted something guava so he improvised and concocted something special! He’s so knowledgeable about the Kava Root and Kratom (things I knew nothing about). He was very friendly and personable. He gave us the best first experience on a random Tuesday evening. The drinks, much like herbal teas, provide feelings of relaxation, improves mood, and stimulates those neurotransmitters in your brain that make you happy (serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine). Anyways, very cool unique place and a nice change. I will visit again and introduce my friends

The Coffee Chemist – Menu with Prices – Unnamed Road, Jacksonville

While I was waiting in my car in the Mall parking lot area, I kept hearing the sound of a generator from far away. The sound was coming from a portable trailer called The Coffee Chemist. The sound of course drew me to the trailer like a Zombie from The Walking Dead.   I met Jordan, the owner… “THE” Coffee Chemist herself. She was very nice and friendly. She offers all coffee varieties: Lattes, Expressos, Cold Brews, Cappuccinos, etc.  So many choices but I eventually opted to order The Nutty Professor, which is a Nutella based Iced Coffee. It was pretty good.   Furthermore, you can find & follow The Coffee Chemist on Facebook and Instagram.   #SupportLocal

The Brooklyn Warehouse – Menu with Prices – 2795 Windsor St, Halifax

Went for supper last Friday, Aug 17th. I arrived first and told them 1 other person would be joining me. I did not have a reservation so they said it would be just a minute. They found me a table very promptly and took a reserved sign off table for 4 near the window and seated me there. When my date came in he sat with me and we were given menus. She asked if we would like a drink while we were waiting for our friend. I look surprised and said there are just 2 of us and then she was surprised that we weren’t waiting for someone. Obviously there was a miss communication at some point. It happens and I realise that they were busy. WELL, a rude blonde haired girl came out and and said to me “You told me there were 3 people so that is why I sat you here!!” She was aggressive and I was quite stunned. The gentleman I was with was pretty close to telling her off. Had I not been on a first date with him he would have. When I tried to defend myself she repeated the above again to me and was pretty obnoxious about it. Needless to say we were moved to a smaller table, which I had no problem with at all. I have worked in a restaurant and have many years experience in the hospitality industry. If I treated a guest like that I would have been fired. She cannot talk to people like this! Otherwise the meal was great we had the brisket which is shaped into a burger and the triple cooked chips. Drinks were good too. I have been here 3 times before and always had a good experience with all the staff. Our waiter was excellent and did a detailed explanation of the menus for us.

Coalition Food and Beverage Menu with Prices 50 Canton St Suite 108, Alpharetta

This was a happy accident. We were in the area doing Marketing and I decided to take my group to try out one of the cool restaurants in downtown Alpharetta. There are lots of nice spots in this small area to check out, plus a parking deck. It’s been a good minute since I’ve ventured over here. I had thought about taking them to Butcher & Brew, but drove past it and had to do a turn around in the back side street. That’s when we spotted this place. It was front and center off the street, but very limited parking (there is a parking garage attached to the building but very limited spacing). It’s a very unique vibe walking in. Almost trendy, modern, classy, & rustic all in one breath. Loved the decorations, and the pictures of old school boom boxes. Great atmosphere! Lots of great seating options too, approved highly on my end for a date spot. Our waitress was awesome. She was excited to see the Knight and Queen I brought, as were some of the other restaurant diners. We even met the owner of Kale Me Crazy. The food menu is very vast with unique options, as well as their cocktail, wine, beer and draft beer list. Too bad you can’t drink on marketing events. We had the warm goat cheese to start with. Amazing! Wrapped in roasted red pepper, it spread so easily on their bread and came with large garlic pieces and olive oil. We had to get extra bread to finish it. My meal was the chicken salad sandwich with their cut fries. The brioche bun was perfect with my sandwich. It was one of the better chicken salad sandwiches I’ve had in some time. The fries with the malt vinegar were so good. One of my coworkers ordered the fish and chips, and it was the most picture perfect pieces of fish I’ve seen. Lightly breaded fish that was so juicy when opened up, and steamy. I was actually upset with myself for not ordering it. Next time! Overall, great spot! I will say pricing is going to be more in this area, so be prepared for $45+ for 2 people before drinks. If I ever find a date, she might be going here with me .
