Based upon some of the earlier reviews (including some recent ones), it seems to depend who is working in the shoppe as to whether or not you’re going to feel that you had a great experience. I guess I got lucky during my visit. Upon a recent stay in Boston, having stayed in the Beacon Hill area, I ambled upon this attractive shoppe literally just a few minutes prior to 7:00 p.m. It was dark outside, and I didn’t have a watch/phone with me, but I knew it had to be close to seven. The lights were still on. There was a gentleman and a lady working within- maybe in their 50’s. When I opened the door, I could tell they were getting ready to close and I asked if it was 7pm yet, and the gentleman said something like ‘Its very close, but come on in anyway…. you’ll be our last customer of the day!’. I felt very welcomed and while I was drooling over my choices the woman left for the night and wished me a “Happy Halloween”. The man didn’t pressure me at all to hurry up and in fact he was very helpful in answering my questions and helping me to make some decisions, and so I ended up purchasing almost $75.00 in goods (mostly for gifts), which is way over my budget but I couldn’t help myself with all of the mouth-watering delicacies before me, and the warm manner in which I was treated! In accord with other’s opinions here, the chocolates were absolutely OUTSTANDING in taste/texture and the hand-crafted, artistic designs, so I didn’t mind paying as much as I did for what I had chosen. Well worth the premium prices. I also found the BEST toffee that I’ve ever had in my life- Cape Cod Gourmet Toffee from a small batch candy maker in N. Falmouth. Wow.

A & D Buffalo’s – Menu with Prices – 3131 Manchester Expy, Columbus

Everytime my husband and I go to Columbus we have to stop at A&D wings. I love the sauce they put on the chicken. It taste kinda sweet and just so mouth watering. On yesterday 10/7, after a VA appointment I went and I had a taste for some rice. The rice is very bland I tried to put sauce on it it didnt work when i got to Auburn to the house i tried going in my own cabinet to doctor them up. I couldnt . The rice is just too bland they need to start putting sauce in it when the cook it or something. I know I’m a very great cook. The wings are great though.

Mucha Lucha Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 1530 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert

Is there new owners or something? My last experience here was just excellent, but man this time was completely different. I guess me and my brother were bugging them ordering our food. The man working couldnt have been more condescending and the women couldnt wait to get to the back. I didn’t even order any food for myself or my son because my wifes order irritated them enough so I said screw it. My brothers wet burrito came out dry and he couldnt really saying about it because they rushed off as soon he paid. Two people were in there when we showed up so it was definitely not busy. Idk what their problems were but it was more then enough for me and my brother to never ever eat at this restaurant again. Also to the women worker, when you roll your eyes try looking away so the customer cant constantly see you doing. Just fyi for the next guy…

Heritage Amish Bake Shoppe – Menu with Prices – 3600 Dam Neck Rd, Virginia Beach

Greeted when we entered the store. The staff members were friendly our whole time in the shoppe and made sure to let them know if we needed anything. We loved walking around the shoppe. When you enter the shoppe they have that part but also if you walk down the hallway there is an expansion and there are more goods in there too. They have fresh baked goods ? cookies, brownies, pies, etc. They had spices, rubs, flour, sugar, chips, sodas, fudge, juice, handmade soap, crackers, candy, little toys, bags, pancake mixes, teas, jams, jellys, preserves, cookbooks, etc. The bake shoppe also connects to the Heritage Amish Furniture store. Plenty of parking outside and around the shoppe/furniture store. We bought a few items from the bake shoppe and have tried a few and enjoyed them and we plan to go back again soon. I love Amish shops. They are always friendly, stores are clean, and they have GREAT prices.

Wake Technical Community College – Menu with Prices – 9101 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh

very annoying my spouse went in there 3 times for nothing. she just wanted general information regardinging certification classes. first time she went in there they said they needed her transcripts to he able to speak to somone like an advisor. second time they made her do an application and asked for more information she didnt have with her, why they didnt tell her in the first place is beyond me. third time she sits down with an advisor and they gave her price for a classes but couldnt give her details regarding the programs. throughout this whole process multiple people approached her as though they were selling off of commission. the advisor couldnt even tell her if the courses are for preparation for the certification, do get a certification with these courses and if they even offer the certification test? waste of time. period. and fyi if your going to have advisors and staff trying to sell students atleast have a better process as well as make sure they are prepared with information when questions are asked. Lastly, after all of this can you believe they enrolled her classes! the bs. i swear. not even telling her they enrolled her in classes for an associate’s program when she had informed everyone along the way that she has already graduated with a BBA. cant believe this.

The DW Cookie Company – Menu with Prices – 18962 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita

How do you make the best cookies? Drive down Soledad to DW Cookie Co! I have heard about this place for years and haven’t made it there, until today. I am so glad I did. I was greeted with a warm welcome by DW and the store is very welcoming to customers as well. There are a couple of table and chairs to sit and enjoy his delicious creations on site. I didn’t stay and eat there but will probably on another visit. I picked up two homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches for my boys. You can pick the cookie and ice cream flavor of your choice. I took the basics, chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream. There was nothing basic about the taste. My boys devoured them in minutes and asked if there were any more! I also got a half dozen assorted cookies cookies, two of the Liz cookies (choc chip and toffee), two of the white choc and cranberry cookies, two of the toffee, pecan, and another ingredient (I forgot) cookies and DW threw in an extra chocolate chip. Got to my car and couldn’t wait to get home to try one. Ate the toffee cookie in the car. Buttery, crisp, chewy and soft at the same time. So delicious it melted in my mouth. Sweet but not too sweet and just perfect. Can’t wait to try all the other flavors, but I guess I should share. Looking forward to going back. Great cookies and excellent/ amazing service and atmosphere. Thank you DW for giving us such a great spot to treat ourselves!!

First Watch – Durham – Menu with Prices – 5307 New Hope Commons Blvd Ext, Durham

Probably the rudest waiter i’ve ever had, middle-of-the-road food couldnt save the poor service. Decided to go somewhere new on saturday morning. Coming into the restaurant we were received with a mild greeting and seated. Our waiter arrived and asked what we’d like to drink. No welcome, no greeting, if there were specials we didnt hear about them, he did not even give his name. Because i dont have his name I can only say that he was working 7/6/19 at some point between 12 and 2 pm, was tall, overweight, slicked back short black curly hair, and he had a face like he didnt want to be there. he was waiting tables in the booth area near the windows away from the front door. We ordered our drinks, hot cocoa for them and I order sweet tea. He came back a few minutes later and wordlessly dropped them on the table, the water glasses were on the table, they remained unfilled. I was with my wife, mother-in-law and her aunt, english is not their first language and they are very picky eaters. They spent about 5 minutes reading the menu before he came by and asked what we were ordering.. I look over and my mother in law is literally in the process of squinting at the menu when he asks us this.. My wife is still reading a menu and her aunt still has one in her face as well.. no one had a menu on the table, no one was staring around idly, no one flagged him down, in no way shape or form was there a cue for him to ask us our order.. dude didnt even ask if we needed more time or had questions.. because theyre foreign theyre often uncomfortable ordering food, my wife hurries both of them through the menu while the waiter essentially stands there with an irritated demeanor and toe-taps. he takes the order and hes gone. I couldnt follow his interactions with the other tables but they didnt look like they were any better. what makes it worse is he didnt seem all that busy or rushed, while that doesnt excuse his behavior, it would have at least made it understandable. our drinks ran out and shortly after, our food arrived and it was pushed onto our table. if there was a utensil, cup, hand, cell phone, purse, whatever on the table, it was shoved out of the way by a plate.. at this point it was comical how much this dude did not give a damn. the plates were shoved onto the table and he was gone. The hot cocoa cups were empty, the water glasses still werent filled, and my tea was just ice. No drink refills, no mid-meal check up. He came by, asked if we would be splitting our check and that was the last of him. oh yeah, i forgot about the food.. Overall the food was “okay” but completely forgettable.. hell, ill only remember this place cause the waiter was a terrible host..

Mariscos El Rey Menu with Prices 820 Dayton St, Aurora

Had been meaning to try one of their locations, finally got a chance being in the area, i had high expectations and they were nearly met. Firts off ordered fish tacos and even though i prefer spicier was nothing tapatio couldnt fix. Think the prices are reasonable and portions plentiful. I also ordered a campechana seca wich is a seafood melody. First the downsides: had to figure and put plenty of sauces and salt and peeper to my liking. At first the sauce seemed lime it didnt have much flavor and would be best if it was. Ot as runny so it stays on the food. I didnt get to really taste it until i was done with the seafood and it was not bad. However knowing you must fix it to your liking a phuge plus was the freshness of the seafood, it seemed it was prepared to order not premade, defi ately fresher than other places ive tried. Would suggest you give it a try. Not a huge or fancy but a nice mellow atmostphere. Think they can improve but doing good.

Orbis Lounge – Menu with Prices – 134 E Genesee St, Syracuse

The club is an okay size, however my aunt rented the vip section and we had about 8-10 people and we didnt fit . plus the vip section right next to the bathroom so like i previously stated it was small we couldnt take pictures in the section so ppl kept walking by (to the bathroom) while we were trying to get a good group photo ð??? music, service and food were good tho ð???

Lancaster Sweet Shoppe – Menu with Prices – 141 N Duke St #2888, Lancaster

This sweet shoppe was just that-a sweet little shoppe. Very cute with lots of delicious treats. Once you come in they have a large assortment of chocolates. The old me would buy the whole first and second row. Lots of things to choose from. I definitely saw some things I would love to try, but I came to try the ice cream which is located towards the back of the shoppe. They have a nice variety of ice creams flavors but not as large as the chocolates. We settled on two, a raspberry and strawberry cheesecake on a cone. I have to say the strawberry cheesecake didn’t have a cheesecake flavor at all. Though it was tasty it lacked that taste. The raspberry was also tasty but it too lacked in raspberry flavor. Overall it wasn’t bad, but I’ll stick to classic flavors next time.

Saranac Commons – Menu with Prices – 19 W Main Ave, Spokane

4 or 5 individual shops in one area. A biscuit wizard, coffee shop, mini tipi gifts and plants, and bakery. Lots of dining area. Everyone at every individual shop seemed very uninviting and uninterested in our service. Noone said hi..we just wandered around and kind of had to figure it all out ourselves eventhough there were plenty of people who could have filled us in. We stood at biscuit wizard counter for quite some time before we were even acknowledged. We were just about to turn around and leave when we were finally approached. Even then the guy who was taking our order acted like he didnt care if we were going to order or not. The only friendly person was the bakery dude in back. I can see a lot of potential in this place. If it had more friendly people working there it could be a very happening place. Who knows.. maybe I just don’t get what they are trying to accomplish there. Or maybe it was just a bad day… for just about everyone working there..I don’t know. I want to like this place. Im going to try it again and if it is markedly different I will change my review… …but not until then. I actually went there because I confused it for the pub next door that I’ve heard only good things about.

Chicago Dog Express – Menu with Prices – 600 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe

The most mouth watering snap in your mouth scrumptious Vienna Beef (VB) hotdog. Hotdog lovers, imagine a perfectly cooked VB hot dog that almost sounds like an elastic band as it cracks between your teeth..; now, splattered with pickles, sport peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and mustard bursting in your mouth with every bite; now, nestled on a poppyseed bun. My picture here shows a “tortured” dog. Just tortured deliciousness. Thanks for reading. Avram M.E. note: no “dog” was unintentionally harmed for the making of this story..:)

Rick?s Cheesesteak Shop – Menu with Prices – 12971 Jefferson Ave, Newport News

I only gave it two stars because the food at least was decent. The service however was terrible. I walk into the door and the lady at the register says “Pickup for Shani??” I say “No, sorry I didnt place a pickup order.” She says “Oh, what would you like?” I place my order. She doesn’t offer to upsell me fries and a drink. She doesnt ask if I’m dining in. So I took it upon myself to ask, “can I get fries and a drink with that? And does it come with free refills if I dine in?” She says “Yeah it’ll be $4.99 more. ” She rings me up and I pay. I go sit down at a table. She calls out to me that my drink is ready. I guessed they didnt do “waiting” services since she called me upâ?..so I walked back up to get my drink. She gives me warm sweet tea in a styrofoam cup with about 5 pieces of melting ice in it. So I walk BACK up again to ask for just a cup of ice. She gives it to me in a regular “dine in” cup. Im perplexed. After about 10 minutes she calls me up again to get my food. Its all super wrapped up and in a to go bag. Again I’m perplexed. The food portion was huge, and it wasnt even cut in half so I couldnt fathom eating it without a fork. So again I walk up and ask for silverware. She hands me one fork. I said “Im sorry but do you have a knife?” She breathes deep and then reaches for the knife as if it was wearing her down to give me a friggin knife with my fork.â?.I go back to my table, sit down, unwrap my food and proceed eat. So another guy walks in (white guy). She greets him. “Hi sir, how are you today will this be for here or to go?” He says to go. He orders and she says “are you military or student?” He says no. She charges him. He gets his food and leaves. Another customer walks in. (Older white gentleman) She greets him “Hi sir how are you is this for here or to go?” He says “For here.” She takes his order and get this…. brings his drink out to him, brings his food to him in a cute little dine in basket and asks him does he need anything else. Whhhaaaaattt??? She literally came out from behind the counter and checked on him AT LEAST 2 or 3 more times!!!!! Oh and then she comes over to me and says ” you all good hun? do you need more tea” Im disgusted. Is it a race thing? Is it just bad judgement based on my appearance? (Young, black, etc.) Idk. But for her info I am a 30 year old dental hygienist, wife, & mother of 2 who just so happens to have a military ID (and would have appreciated the discount for my husbands service) as well as the proper dining in treatment/service!!! I’m disgusted. I wont be returning. And I will be telling everyone I know. Thats 5,000 facebook friends and 8,000 instagram followers alone. â?â?â?â?
