Updated review: I was very excited to be in the area and popped in for some Thai food. We ordered the vegetable egg rolls (spring rolls) and pad see ew, vegetarian. Since last time I found it too spicy, I went with a level 2. Never had an issue with a level 2 before but it was rather hot for me. My husband, who loves extra crazy spicy food had a few bites and said it was “giving his mouth a bit of a zing” so he agreed it was not an ordinary level 2, which would seem totally mild to him normally. My noodles also didn’t have those darker, wok pan fried spots that impart a deeper flavor. The sauce was tasty but way too oily in general. Lastly, although I requested veggies in my noodles they came with a scant amount, probably less veggies than meat slices had I ordered it with chicken. Fairly disappointing over all. No one came by to ask how it was, or refill my water. Eventually we request a refill of my water and also a box to take 2/3 of the rest home so my husband could have it as dinner. This also didn’t prompt any “how was everything” type questions despite having a lot of leftovers. My spring rolls were pretty oily this time so I wrapped them in paper napkins for a moment before we ate them. The interior was pretty flavorful so we enjoyed them. Flavors were still fairly pleasant so I’m giving them 3 stars despite the issues, but sadly they have fallen as one of my favorite Thai spots in the region. Old review: Incredible. Vibrant, pronounced flavors. Gorgeous presentation. We tried: Appetizer sampler- fresh aka summer roll… really lovely, not just mostly iceberg lettuce like some places crispy veg spring rolls… a bit peppery and more flavorful than the usual spring roll. Very nice! the shrimp wrapped in crispy spring roll wrapper (mermaid?) A bit plain but okay. and crab rangoon. Nice and light shell, good quality filling. It was served with peanut and plum sauce. Everything was superbly put together and beautifully presented. We ordered 3 entrees and ate family style plus a Thai iced coffee, which was great. Noodles, Prik Pao, savory, a little sweet and just blissful. Delicate flavors. No plain and boring noodles here. A little too spicy at 3, and I usually order it at 3. They’re a new restaurant and seemingly figuring out the spice Levels, since the curry was a 4 and much more mild. Pumpkin curry… really nice but seemed to be regular curry just with pumpkin in it. Basil fried rice, fan-freaking-tactic! Some of the best fried rice ever. Egg fried into the rice, very authentic! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, filled with golden accessories and lovely flowers. Could be ideal for a romantic date or just a wonderful family meal as we are early and kids were there too. My only gripe is that there was no chopped cilantro on dishes that mentioned it. I can’t wait to go back! We don’t live in the area but I would drive up here when I’m in the mood. I haven’t had such good and richly flavored Thai food since living in Boston and eating in my favorite Thai restaurant. The service was a little bumpy (forgot to put one dish order in) but customer service was wonderful. They were very apologetic about the delay and seemed to rush it out as fast as they could, and it was still great when we got it.

Thai Express – Menu with Prices – 4693 Gardens Park Blvd Suite 113, Orlando

I was in the area and stopped by to try this place out because again, I love Thai food and my go to place is closed for summer vacay. You order at the counter and then pick up at the counter. There’s plenty of places to sit. They have daily specials for $6.68 and each day has a different special. Because they just opened, they are offering punch cards and giving out flyers with coupons on it as well. The menu is pretty decent and a big selection. There a lot of favorite Thai dishes I saw, such as Pad Thai, Fried Rice, and Drunken Noodles. The spice levels are mild, medium, spicy, and very spicy. I opted for the Chicken Red Curry and an Imperial Roll (spring roll). The imperial roll was crispy but it felt like there was mush on the inside. Minimal taste. I have mixed feelings about the Red Curry. The taste of the curry sauce was good and the level of spice (I went for medium) was perfect. But the quality seemed lackluster. The chicken was a weird, dark color and the taste/texture seemed off for chicken. I’m also not a fan of bamboo shoots since they have a weird taste. The chicken/mystery meat just really threw me off. I would probably just order veggie only dishes next time. I wanted to like this place and may be willing to give it another try but I think there are better Thai places in town with comparable prices and way better food quality.

Thai Flavors – Menu with Prices – 1254 E 14th St, Des Moines

Thai Flavors has been around for a long time. I was actually kind of surprised when my favorite dining companion and I decided to go there for dinner on Friday, that I hadn’t reviewed it yet. So, here we are. Thai Flavors is nestled in the small center near Walgreens on SE 14th & University Ave in Des Moines. It’s fairly unassuming from the outside. The decor inside is pleasant. We were seated quickly in a fairly busy restaurant. We decided on the Thai Flavors Healthy Rolls, with shrimp and chicken. We both are huge fans of this style of fresh spring roll, so we always want to try new versions of them. We also ordered a bottle of warm plum sake, as that’s also one of our favorites to get with Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese food. For entrees, my favorite dining companion opted for the Pad See-Ew with chicken and mushrooms, with a spice rating of 4 stars. I went with the Ka-Phrao! with chicken. I went with a spice level of 5. I don’t believe in eating mild Thai food, after all! Our appetizer arrived right away, as did our sake. The healthy rolls were good. They consisted of chicken, shrimp, noodles, celery, carrot, and cucumber. They were served with a sweet and sour sauce topped with peanuts along with plum sauce. They were very tasty, and didn’t last long. The plum sake was excellent, and went well with our appetizer. We had barely finished our appetizer when our entrees arrived. They were both excellent. The spice level on my Ka-Phrao! was perfect. It was a nice blend of veggies and chicken, in a delicious spicy brown sauce. My dining companion very much enjoyed her Pad See-Ew as well. It had lots or crisp veggies, and an enjoyable spicy, but light, sauce. She did not eat most of hers, but we did take it home to eat later. Overall we were very pleased. I was very thirsty and quickly had my water refilled four different times while we were there. The service was excellent. I highly recommend Thai Flavors to anyone looking for quality Thai food and great service. I know we’ll be back again soon!

Siamese Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 4352 W Olive Ave, Glendale

My roommate needed a night out so we came here since I was also craving thai. They had great reviews and it seemed pretty cheap, so obviously I had to give them a try. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from outside and it doesn’t look like much when you go in either. It’s not a fancy place for sure. My roommate was a little concerned since we were the only ones there. I still had faith. My roomie started with the spring rolls, which was basically egg rolls, and I ordered a thai ice tea. To me, spring rolls are not deep fried but are sticky rice paper. Had I ordered this, I would have been really disappointed. I didn’t try the egg roll but from what I could see inside it, it probably wouldn’t have been something I would have liked anyways. I saw mostly glass noodles and what I would assume was cabbage. If you have read any of my past reviews, we know how I feel about this. The thai ice tea was really good. I would guess based on how it came out and past experience it’s from a bottle and probably not house made. Still good though. For my entree, I order the pad thai. I was really happy about the fact that they have the pad thai here come with both shrimp and chicken and for a really cheap price. I asked for my dish to be hot and probably should have asked for it to be thai hot, which was the hottest option she gave me. Hot wasn’t hot at all for me. I would say it had a little kick but when I eat thai food, I like it to be really hot. There was a lot of food and a more than reasonable amount of meat. The shrimp and chicken was cooked perfectly. This was honestly the best tasting pad thai I’ve ever had. I plan on going back in the next week or two to get more pad thai. My roommate ordered a curry dish and he said he loved it. If you haven’t been here, it’s definitely worth a trip. Thank you Yelpers for pulling through on this place.

Siam Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 915 Hillcrest Rd Suite C, Mobile

Food was alright, however, I asked my server which of their curries was the hottest (red curry, could’ve fooled me) and requested “five star” spice level on said item which is supposed to be as spicy as they offer. I received the mildest curry I have ever eaten in my life; my grandmother would probably have loved it but I went to a Thai restaurant specifically for something very spicy. It did not taste right to have such a pathetically mild curry. I informed my waitress and she provided me with a particularly mild crock of red pepper flakes to add my meal which I very clearly desired to be very hot before hand. I got somewhat close to the desired level of heat I ordered but the texture of my curry was ruined by the 6 spoonfulls of red pepper flakes I had to add. Regardless of the friendly service and atmosphere, I highly doubt I’ll return. If you are someone who like spicy Thai food, look elsewhere; I was sorely disappointed.

Sakae Thai & Sushi Bar – Menu with Prices – 430 Chatham Heights Rd #101, Fredericksburg

Pretty disappointed. We ordered the vegetable red curry, shrimp tempura, spring rolls and drunken noodles. The curry and spring rolls we’re pretty good, shrimp tempura was ok, and the drunken noodles we’re inedible. It seems like there was some catastrophic accident in the kitchen when they made these noodles. Just gray, flavorless mush. Seems like they forgot to put about half of what they were supposed to then noodles, then cooked them into oblivion. I think they’re just trying to do too many things at this place. Either be Thai or sushi.

Thai Food Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 4350 E Sunset Rd #110, Henderson

Wow!!! And DELISH!! Ok so truthfully I almost don’t want to tell you how amazing these flavors are because I want to get a seat the next time I come to town! At first, I was a little nervous because there was no one in the place, but… they started trickling in… and all I heard was “mmmmmm, this is soooo good, wow, oooo those flavors, the texture on this is soooo awesome”…… and to be honest, it’s exactly what I was saying to myself! So I found this place by seeing it from the street. I stay down the street when I come to town and have been craving great Thai and boy did I hit the jackpot! This place is super easy to park! The restaurant was impeccably clean! ( I love that ). I was welcomed and served right away. My food came out in perfect timing. I ordered the fresh veggie spring roll – pic below, and the tofu yellow curry. First let me say… I have had some veggie rolls that taste like bland chewy tasteless horrible fresh spring rolls – this is NOT THAT! tons of greens , mint and really fresh! You can tell it was made to order and NOT prepare 5 hours ago. They don’t offer any meat or tofu in it, which I totally don’t mind at all! The peanut sauce is cold , not hot , and I liked that. It’s been hit on Vegas… and I loved the flavor combination. Now … let’s get to the authentic , EPIC yellow curry! You get to choose you meat here , so I chose tofu. A TON AND TON of tofu and veggies. The Tofu was perfectly pressed as not to be mushy and not to be fried to death! Absolutely perfect. The sauce ( I died and went to Thai heaven ) so amazing…. and then I brought in the rice with the yellow curry ( comes with it ) and took it to a whole new level!! If you can imagine that! Whoa!!!! Flavor taste town! Service was absolutely on point! The server checked in with me several times and even wrapped up my Togo bag with a smile and a grateful attitude ? – I LOVE THAT! Over all the fresh tea, fresh rolls and fresh curry! YOU HAVE MY VOTE – again and again! You just got yourself a customer for LIFE! Great – GREAT JOB!

Nam Jai Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 3414 NE 52nd St, Vancouver

I was a big fan of the previous restaurant at this location, Dok Koon Thai and was very disappointed when it closed. Luckily, Nam Jai Thai took over and actually improved both the restaurant appearance and the taste of the food. We had the Chicken Pad Thai, Lemongrass Chicken, Tofu Salad Rolls, Pineapple Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, and a Thai Iced tea. Everything was fresh, generously portioned, and tasted excellent. My only minor criticism comes from the insufficient spice level for “level 5”, it could have been kicked up a bit more. Will be back for sure!

Ruby Thai Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 6330 Park City Center, Lancaster

Ruby Thai Kitchen is a good place to stop for fast food style Asian food, which is not really authentic Thai food, but closer to being like “Panda Express” Chinese food. They offer several Thai style meat dishes (mostly chicken choices), noodles, rice, vegetables, fried appetizers, Coke products, and bottled drinks. As for the pricing, they offer 1 Meat ($4.99 w 1 side/$5.59 w 2 sides), 2 Meats ($5.99 w 1 side/$6.59 w 2 sides), 3 Meats ($6.99 w 1 side/$7.59 w 2 sides), and Kids Meal ($4.59 with 1 meat, 1 side, & drink). Add an appetizer for $0.99 more. While shopping at Park City Center, I stopped in the food court for some dinner. I went with the 1 Meat 2 Sides ($5.59) and chose Thai Spicy Chicken with Veg Fried Rice, and Noodles and an Egg Roll ($0.99). The portion of food was good and just right. The main dish had boneless breaded cubed chicken pieces, celery, peppers, and onions, which a mild spicy taste. The noodles (lo mein) with onions was soft and oily. The fried rice had a mix of peas , carrots, and onion. The egg roll was quite good, which was filled with a dense mixture of carrot, cabbage, and soft chicken in a firm wrap shell, not greasy. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner in the food court which actually tasted pretty good, though it was similar to quick service Chinese food. (3.6 stars)

Thai Express – Menu with Prices – Scotia Square, 5201 Duke St, Halifax

Packed are the lines every time I walk by. I went at 11am to experience this before everyone else. I had the Pad See Ew. Large rice noodles, egg, Chinese broccoli. I asked for it very spicy as the menu that showed up in my mailbox at home had 4 little faces of this oriental women showing her in progressive pain for each level of spicy. The very spicy was the hottest and all I have to say about that one is Thai express and I both share very different ideas of what very spicy is. It was not spicy to me but then again I call very spicy the kind that really hurts my mouth to the point where I grab milk to try to ease my pain. I wanted to experience this but it was just not going to happen today at scotia square. Portion size was large and came with 6 large tiger shrimp (extra$) I had a coupon for a free combo which was a lame fried spring roll and large pop. Spring roll was same as you would get in the freezer isle an embarrassment to Thai food worldwide. Not worth being on the menu. Overall it was good but way too much oil. My god I gained a pant size slow down on that oil squirt bottle. The oil serves little purpose other than to make me fat. Cooks often do that as they are worried the food will stick to the pan and the only sticking going on is it sticking to my waistline. Smarten up and use much less and you will see the food does not stick to your wok. I would not return as price with fair with the coupon but without it I have a feeling lunch would have been 15 or 16 bucks. For that I can do better in the south end with Thai food specials from real Thai restaurants offered at only 10 bucks for lunch included is the spring roll as well even a fresh vegetable one if you ask.

Metro Noodle and Boba – Menu with Prices – 635 N Main St, Corona

I ordered a few menu items to go. My buddy was visiting from long beach. He was craving asian food so i heard about metro noodle so have been wanting to try it. Ordered hanain.chicken. grilled pork spring rolls. Stirfried rice noodles and beef. And fried fish balls. Honestly all the food was horrible.the chicken tasted old and dry. The noodles the same. Rubbery and stale while the beef tasted almost recooked and leathery. The fish balls were ok. We got a few in the order i suppose. But the worst was the spring roll. I opened the plastic wrap to find the top of the spring roll was hard and i took the spring roll out and both bottoms were completely ripped open. Its obvious the spring roll is a day old from this. Im embarassed for the restaurant that would even serve this. I trued to take a bite. I made my own sauce. The sauce they served with it was straight from the bottle of fish sauce. In edible. The spring roll had lettuce. Rice noodle and a repeat of old grilled pork. No herbs..nothing. Obviously i wont be returning. I just wanted this to grt back to the owners of the restaurant. Truly disappointed because its so close to home and read good reviews

Thai Kitchen Temecula – Menu with Prices – 27520 Ynez Rd STE C1, Temecula

BEST THAI RESTAURANT EVER. NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAI FOOD OTHER THAN THIS PLACE! Food was excellent and service was superb! We had the Thai Iced Tea, Crab Fried Rice, Tofu Yellow Curry, Thai Royal Noodles, Tom Kha, Chicken Teriyaki and Mango Sticky Rice! Everything was delicious and Thai Iced Tea was buy one get one free! You can ask them to make your thai iced tea less sweet if you want to btw. My favorite would be the Tom Kha, it’s the best I’ve had. The perfect balance between, sweet, sour, spicy, salty and creamy. My next favorite would be the crab fried rice. No words for it, it’s that good. The yellow curry is absolutely perfect with rice, whether it’s white or brown. Lastly, the Mango Sticky rice was the perfect way to end dinner if you want something not too sweet. I may be saying perfect too much throughout this review but it is what it is and you won’t regret dining/eating here. 100% will recommend to anyone even if you haven’t had thai food.

Bambuza Pearl District – Menu with Prices – 100 NW 10th Ave #3107, Portland

My Girl and I were in Portland on holiday and stopped in on a whim at lunchtime on Monday. We ordered several items to share: Yellow Curry with shrimp Green Papaya Salad with shrimp Bambuza salad rolls with shrimp Crispy Spring rolls First the presentation was nice and the wait staff brought our food out fairly quickly. I know reading other reviews that wasn’t what we had read. They also brought us plates to share our dishes. This is not a full service restaurant you order then sit and they bring you your food. So for the food: The green papaya salad was good and refreshing however the shrimp on top was bland and not an addition I would recommend. The crispy spring rolls were very good and the sauce compliments them well. The Bambuza roll was good but had a very strong taste of herbs which make it taste fresh but the mint slightly overpowers the dish. The peanut sauce does compliment and tame the mint some. The shrimp in the Bambuza rolls were also bland. The yellow curry, of all the dishes I eat this the most frequently, was okay. The vegetable didn’t gain the flavor of the curry the way I prefer but it wasn’t a poorly composed dish either. The shrimp again was bland. The rice with the curry was well cooked. I wouldn’t stop anyone from coming here but I can say that it isn’t on the level of other places I frequently go.
