The food was great. 6 top with a 1 hr wait on a Friday night. Not bad considering the place was PACKED! But once we got seated the service just really irritated me enough to dock this 2 stars. Not only did the water bottles on our table never got a refill, but our unfinished plates AND cocktails just got taken away without the “are you still working on that?” Specially when a basket of chips and salsa comes with a charge and there’s still some left… DONT TAKE IT AWAY! When asked if we wanted more drinks (yes we do) and the old drink still has some… PLEASE DONT TAKE IT AWAY! I would’ve said something but our server was mega quick to walk away. I had the lamb, chorizo, carne asada and carnitas… I really enjoyed that each one had it’s own flavor! Very tender! Unlike the usual pick a meat and sauce and garnish are the same. The meats alone stand on their own with just the seasoning, but the sauces/salsa just gave it a little extra “umph” Had the prickly pear cocktail- it was so tart and refreshing!

EL Bracero Mexican Restaurant Menu with Prices 2028 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo

I researched tons of Mexican restaurants in Amarillo. I ended up picking this one, I was a little nervous since there was only 1 review but we thought it was good! We came around 5pm on a Saturday and there was only 1 other table of guests. (Good there wasn’t a wait… wondered if it was a bad sign?) Our server was nice and especially helpful since we don’t speak Spanish… we needed assistance with some of the menu items. I appreciated the chips and salsa. I know *most* Mexican places provide these BUT I have been to some recently which did not even offer them (weird, I know). Salsa was ok. It wasn’t my favorite that I’ve had but it was ok. Food came out quick. My husband and kids got the carne asada tacos and I got the carnitas tacos. I have to say, the Carne Asada tacos were AMAZING. The flavor was awesome and the meat was melt in your mouth tender! Muy bueno! My carnitas tacos were very good as well but I think the steak tacos were better! My husband and I got a different kind of beans with ours… they weren’t the usual retried beans. I forget what they were called. (Beans with bacon, peppers, onions and tomatoes in a broth). My husband didn’t care for them. I thought they were ok. The main loss of a star was that the building was a little “eh”… especially the restrooms. Sloppy paint job OVER tile, dirty floors and an outlet right next to the sinks that isn’t a GFCI. (Seems dangerous and I’m pretty sure in houses, all outlets near water need to be up to code with GFCI outlets.) My husband said the men’s room did not have any doors on the stalls. Ick. Additionally, it was odd that out in the main eating area, electrical ran outside of the walls. Kind of ghetto. To the right of the cash register there was a darkened room that had what appeared to be an unused bar and more tablets. I just get nervous as to what the kitchen looks like as the restrooms were a little gross. Regardless, the food was pretty good. We’d still recommend this place, especially the Carne Asada taco!

Tacosway Fusion & Street Tacos – Menu with Prices – 12800 Garden Grove Blvd unit b, Garden Grove

These are street tacos done right. I was looking for a place close to my work and I thought, what the hell. So I went and tried it, what a surprise. These tacos would kill anywhere in LA. The place is tucked in a tiny strip mall. And when I say tiny I mean if you blink or sneeze when you’re driving by you’ll miss it. As it is you might miss it anyway. Look hard cause these are some of the best tacos you’ll ever have. They make aguas frescas too, so they have the bona fides. The jalapeño salsa has just the right amount of kick and it’s packed with flavor. But you’re not coming here for salsa, you’re coming here for tacos. Carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, are all here and they’re delicious. The al pastor has nice heat. The carnitas are tender, and the asada has a few crunchy bits that give the meat that extra flavor. For the intrepid out there they have lengua, that’s tongue in case you’re interested, and they have a Korean BBQ taco that even Roy Choi would love. They have tortas (haven’t tried them) and fish tacos too. Prices are way reasonable like street tacos should be. Don’t worry if you forget your cash, they take ApplePay. Just don’t forget your iPhone. The decor is bland but the pictures on the walls make for a good laugh. This isn’t fine dining but worth the visit and the tacos.

Taqueria La Fogata – Menu with Prices – 4623 S 33rd St, Omaha

This place is next door to Donohue’s Pub on L street. I will give this place 3 stars because the service was fast and the food was cheap. The menu is simple: tacos, tortas, burritos, and quesadillas. Meat choices include: Carne Asada Al Pastor Lengua Chorizo Tripe Barbacoa They offer $1 tacos on Thursdays after 5 pm only. The interior is sort of dated and even a little dirty. There are quite a few tables throughout. I know, these can sometimes be the really good places, right? However, the food was only OK. I ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos. The tacos are built with two street taco-sized corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, onions. They come with lime and salsa (red or green). The green (avocado) salsa is actually spicier than the red, which is not common. Overall, stop in on Thursday after 5 pm if you are in the area or next door at the pub. Otherwise, I’d make the trip to Taqueria Tijuana for tacos.

Taqueria Sinaloense – Menu with Prices – 4418 Edward Rd #4498, West Palm Beach

My review is for the taco truck they have outside some evenings. I haven’t been inside the building. I ordered an asada burrito , chorizo, carnitas and Barbacoa tacos. It was after 11 on a Friday . Service was friendly and cashier spoke perfect English. I started with the burrito. It was medium sized; steak was flavorful and tender, came with some rice, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, with their orange sauce, radishes and limes in the side. The tacos came with their green sauce on side and more radishes and limes, plus a big cooked jalapeño. They were heavy on the cilantro and all three were outstanding. Carnitas was excellent, Barbacoa was delicious , and I LOVED the chorizo. Their chorizo is the spicy sort and the best I’ve had in the area among the other taquerias I’ve tried. Liked that they included the cooked jalapeño as well. Can’t really comment in the service, but this is some pretty good Mexican street food.

El Bracero of Clarksville Morris Rd – Menu with Prices – 112 Morris Rd, Clarksville

We enjoyed our dinner– Carne Asada steak for my Sweetie…and the Wet Burrito w/beef tips for me. Our server Linsey was quite helpful in sorting out options from among the many dishes on the restaurant’s massive menu. Lots of Tex-Mex standards, and plenty of house specialties too. All are reasonably priced, and the portions very generous. The Carne Asada offered enticing aromas and an attractive presentation, featuring roasted garlic bulb and jalapeño. Little wonder it’s a favorite dish among the regulars. I was impressed with the tender, flavorful chunks of beef in my burrito as well. Couldn’t put down my fork…even tho it would have been enough for two meals! A tasty margarita topped things off. Well worth the stop, after a long day’s drive — just what we were looking for!

Birrieria Don Rafa – Menu with Prices – 560 Broadway, Chula Vista

When I was a child I looked forward to the drive south to Chula Vista. My brother worked at Hom’s Teapot Inn. A few times he took me to visit and the owner would have his chef make something delicious for me. I miss Wendel Hom and his Teapot Inn. It’s been years since I’ve been in this part of Chula Vista. Sears across the street was the only location that had sandals I was looking for. I didn’t know there was a Tacos y Gordo’s on this block. Birrieria Don Rafa was fairly busy for lunch. My friend Omar invited me here to try the birria. I ordered a birria taco. Corn tortilla had a mild corn flavor while the birria had a hint of sweetness and a rich savory flavor. Birria was extremely tender and juicy. I also ordered a carne asada taco. Same mild flavored corn tortilla with delicious tender beef. I liked the char and the seasoning on the carne asada. Place has some very lovely artwork. Our server was very nice and efficient. This was my first time eating birria and I really enjoyed my tacos. 4 made for a very filling lunch. I look forward to driving south to Chula Vista again.

Sandbar Mexican Grill – Gilbert – Menu with Prices – 1975 E Williams Field Rd, Gilbert

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. Our server, Ally, was prompt, attentive, and courteous, just what I like about the best servers. The top shelf margarita was excellent. I take mine on the rocks with salt. We started with the complementary chips and salsa. The chips are freshly made and lightly salted. They were crisp and delicious. The green salsa has only a little bit of heat, the red has a bit more. Both were very tasty. The guacamole was a large helping, certainly enough for 3-4. It was average with a very mild avocado, light on the seasonings. My wife had a quesadilla. It was a bit thin on the cheese and she said it came with whatever had been on the grill before it (the grill should have been scraped clean before dropping the tortilla there). She was not a fan of the bell peppers in the quesadilla. I had the steak burrito, which is filled with carne asada. The steak was cooked perfectly for me, between medium rare and medium. It was also tender. The only problem with it was it was pretty bland. Carne asada should be a marinated steak. Either the marinade used is very mild or it was nonexistent. It certainly couldn’t be tasted. The accompanying Spanish rice was very good. The refried beans had a bit of an odd taste that I couldn’t identify. If you come for the drinks, chips and salsa, I can recommend the Sandbar. The kitchen seems a toss-up at the moment. We might come back to try some other menu items. But, when the basics are inconsistent, it might be a while.

Los Chilangos Menu with Prices 14008 NE 8th St, Bellevue

Taqueria Los Chilangos is a solid food truck, serving Mexican favorites. Its truck is located at the Shell gas station at the intersection of 8th and 140th, where they’re open all day. I came here to grab some quick dinner for my boyfriend and me, as I was in the area for a meeting and spotted Taqueria Los Chilangos’ truck. I ordered five tacos, two with carnitas, two with al pastor and one with chupa cabras. For also checking in on Yelp I got free chips and salsa. On a Tuesday around 7pm, there were quite a few people waiting out in the cold for the goods. Of all the tacos, I actually thought the chupa cabras was the best. It’s not something I’d normally choose with street tacos, as it’s a combination of carne asada and chorizo, but I definitely recommend trying it. I’ve never seen this meat option at other taquerias, which is what intrigued me the most. I’m glad it ended up being a favorite. The al pastor tacos were also good, especially with the pineapple on top, which I think all al pastor tacos should have! But the carnitas, which is usually my go-to protein of choice with street tacos, was sadly, disappointing. Meat was very dry; therefore, it was bland. Stick with the chupa cabras and al pastor meats. In addition to tacos, the menu has a lot to offer, including breakfast served all day! (One of these days I’m gonna get a breakfast burrito.) They also have two different salsas that you can choose from, as well as various flavors of Jarritos. There isn’t seating outside of the truck – only a standing table, so not sure if when the weather fares better are when the seats bust out. At least you can park here and eat your grub in your car, which I noticed a few patrons doing. No shame.

Ricos Tacos De Jalisco – Menu with Prices – 396 S Mt Vernon Ave, San Bernardino

We ordered a Carne Asada Torta, carne Asada sope, and a carne Asada taco. It was all pretty good and could be worth a return. Still looking to find a great spot so for now this up there in my list of good places to eat. It’s pretty lively at night and the champurrado was delicious but pricey $2.95 for a small. My total order was around $16.45 which is my only issue it’s pretty expensive for the area.

Tipzys Tacos – Menu with Prices – 3848 E Belmont Ave, Fresno

It’s ok. We tried a variety: Carne asada tacos: meat was kinda bland,my wife’s taco had burned bits. Chicken tacos: bland, no flavor really at all Shrimp tacos: my favorite of the three, but that’s not saying much. Carne asada quesadilla: my son said the one from Taco Bell is as good. Asada fries: crinkle cut frozen fries with mozzarella cheese and carne asada. Fine because we were hungry. Probably wouldn’t have rung bells if we weren’t starved. Chips – you get a basket of chips with paprika or chili powder on them. They are $1.25 and you don’t get anything with them. Don’t get me wrong, they have a salsa bar but they only had tiny little cups- like 2tsp – to put salsa in and wouldn’t give us anything bigger. Super lame, that. As far as the actual salsas- the pico was the best thing about this dinner. Jalapeños were tiny- good knife skills- so you got that yummy fresh pop of hot without it being overwhelming. The ancho chili salsa is good, my wife said the green one was good. The carrots looked gross, I didn’t get any. The cabbage was diced, which I thought was weird. It was also in a container filled to the brim with water. Maybe to keep the cabbage fresh but anything I put cabbage on (how I usually like my tacos) tasted predominantly like water. Not good. No fountain drinks, you buy by the can (or bottle for water) and drink it from the can/bottle. We didn’t have any beer. Murals were beautiful, the rest of the decor was dated and uncomfortable.

Tuition Tacos Menu with Prices 3444 E Orangethorpe Ave, Anaheim

I’d like to start by saying the communication & ordering process was 10+. Perfect in every way. Hector displayed great customer service, confirmation of the ordering and the live chat with Sandy was a convenient feature for any/all questions. Why the 3 stars… I felt that the food and items included fell short and perhaps was disappointed as I was expecting similar to the sample pictures I saw for catered events. The food… I ordered Angus Carne Asasa for 40 and Carnitas, Guac, Rice, Chips, Refried Beans for 20. We had 15 guests total. Angus Carne Asada – 3 stars. Acceptable. Not the best and not the worst. The beef was slightly dry and a bit bland even with all the noticable black pepper. The Angus quality was not distinguishable from any other standard carne asada meat. Did not validate the additional cost. I was surprised and even questioned the staff as I saw the tray was only half filled in comparison to the carnitas when I ordered double the amount of carne asada. Carnitas – 3 stars. Acceptable. Bit bland despite all the random broken pieces of bayleaves mixed in. I fished out all the small bayleaf pieces as that was unpleasant to bite into. Guac – 4 stars. Good and was plentiful. Received 3 16oz containers. The amount received was on par for the number of people ordered. Chips – 4 stars. Good. oddly, the quantity appeared less and not enough for 20. Red/Green Salsa – both came in 16oz/2c containers. Received One container of each. These salsas are included and not an additional cost. Was one container each enough for the number of tacos ordered? Positive note, the red salsa was well received and enjoyed. Chopped Onions/Cilantro – included and in the 16oz containers. Received one container each. I again was surprised to only see one container of each for an order of 40ppl asada and 20ppl carnitas. Refried Beans – 3 stars. Plentiful. Flavor was average. Again, a bit bland. Not the best nor the worst. Spanish Rice – 3.5 stars. Plentiful. This item was more flavorful than the meats and beans. Disposal White Forks & Spoons – 1 star. The disposable utensils and styrofoam plates are included. The description online’s states ‘heavy’ utensils. These were of the poorest quality. The kind that easily bend. Based on the pictures and description, this was a surprise. Perhaps sharing a true picture and description of the product would have been less misleading. Picture of the white utensils received compared to true heavy duty clear disposable utensils that I had purchased elsewhere. Overall, Tuition Bites has a great purpose. Again, communication was great. The delivery was running about 15+ minutes behind and called to inform me. Definitely appreciated that. I hope my feedback allows for improvement on the opportunities and for those searching given a true depiction of the product.

Tacos Pipeye – Menu with Prices – 217 N Milpas St #3281, Santa Barbara

HOMEMADE TORTILLAS. I honestly should stop my review there, because that’s really all you need to know to go. But if you are still reading and want to know more, know that Tacos Pipeye has a wide range of different meat and vegetarian options as well as a variety of other Mexican food classics (i.e. sopes, quesadillas, burritos, etc.). Oh did I mention it’s 6 TACOS FOR $10? What a steal. All three meats I tried – carnitas, asada, and barbacoa – were incredibly juicy, flavorful, and fresh. However, the carnitas were to die for; sweet and savory, they were cooked to perfection. The tacos come without dressings, so you’ll have to stop at the salsa bar to fix them up the way you like. Definitely make sure to try their creamy green salsa! Parking it somewhat of a struggle, but trust me it’s worth it. The dining area is small and designed more for quick eating, but they have tvs in case you don’t want to miss the game while you’re running to get food.
