OK, so we purchased a certificate on line for this place and decide to give it a try. First thing you notice when you walk inside is it’s rustic and small. I think there were more chairs at the bar than tables in the dining area. It’s not the kind of place to take that special someone on that special occasion. We have the certificate so we stayed to take a look at the menu. Things began to look better once we saw the prices. Not bad! We decided to order lunch, how bad could it be, after all we do have the certificate. If words like homemade, fresh, decent portions, hand cut fries, and delicious are what you covet, then give this place a try. Ice cold beer on tap, lunch for two, and a Caramel Apple Blossom Ala Mode for dessert for under $20.00 with the certificate. We will be going back to sample some of that green chili and the Wisconsin Cheese curds with sliced apples. Staff is out of this world friendly. Could have easily given four stars but the place is a little rustic and very small. Add some outdoor seating and this place becomes a five.

Hana Sushi #6 – Menu with Prices – 39760 Winchester Rd unit b, Temecula

This was my first time having sushi in Murrieta and I couldn’t be any happier with my experience. My BF recommended this place because I was craving Japanese food. We came on a Sunday around 4 PM for an early dinner and it wasn’t busy. The interior was nice and very traditionally decorated. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. She gave me miso soup on the house and engaged in a short convo with us. l Food l Spicy Pork & Assorted Tempura ($16) – Served with garden salad, miso soup, and rice. My BF isn’t a fan of sashimi so he usually goes for the Hana combos. When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with one of their combination choices. It has a little bit of everything. Oishii Sashimi Roll ($18) – Tuna, salmon, avocado, cucumber, red onion, kaiware, green onion, and masago. What caught my attention about this roll was the sashimi topping. I love tuna and salmon so this was the perfect combo! I love how there was extra sashimi on top. It was so delicious. The sashimi was thick and nicely cut. This was a very unique roll that I usually don’t see on sushi menus. Caramel Apple ($11.50) – Sliced caramel apple for dessert? I think YES. It’s interesting that they have this as a dessert option at a sushi restaurant. It comes in half size or full size. We had to get it and our server highly recommended it. We did not regret. It was thinly sliced so made it easy to eat. I love the whipped cream on the side. Overall, we had a 5 stars experience at Hana Sushi. The customer service was great and the staffs are so friendly. They offer a wide selection of food on their menu and have generous portions. Good quality food and a clean environment. I definitely will come again when I’m craving some sushi in Murrieta. We also entered in a raffle to win a gift certificate to their restaurant!

Ethel M Chocolates – Glendale, CA – Menu with Prices – 2159 Glendale Galleria, Glendale

Anybody that knows me knows how much I love chocolate! I have found my new favorite chocolates at Ethel M at the Glendale Galleria! Not only do they have a great selection from dark chewy caramel to specialty items like chocolates with alcohol, they are GMO, wax, preservative free!!! My absolute favorite item is the green apple with chewy caramel covered in milk chocolate with white chocolate drizzle!! It’s my weekly treat to myself as the lovely staff from this store already knows! They just added hot chocolate to their menu perfect for the fall!!! If you’re in Glendale you have to check this place out and if your not you have to drive down and try some samples!!!

Travellers House Coffee & Tea – Menu with Prices – 824 S National Ave ste a-100, Springfield

First time visit, my mom and I each ordered a seasonal special. Mine was the maple caramel spice latte and hers was the apple spiced chai latte, both were delicious! The maple caramel had a great coffee flavor and wasn’t overly sweet. The apple chai tasted like apple cider mixed with a chai latte and was pleasantly unique. The atmosphere is open and welcoming with seating that makes great use of the space. There are tables with chairs and booth seating as well as two little nooks with armchairs. This location has a fireplace feature seperating the nooks but it was not turned on during our visit. The customer service was great and the staff was very organized and quick with our orders. Overall a wonderful place to stop and enjoy coffee.

King Of Wing And Daiquiri Menu with Prices 1110 S Bowen Rd, Arlington

So I found this place one day when I was going next door to get some pizza. I went in here because they advertise drinks for $1, so i was like yeah let’s try it and i been coming back when I get a chance. Let’s start with the drinks, for &1 you get a pretty big drink and they have at least 7 flavors to choose from. If you are unsure of what flavor to get just ask if you could sample one or two and they give you a small dixie cup with the drink you want to sample. I haven’t been to many restaurants that let you sample the drinks before you buy so this is pretty cool of them to do that. My favorite is the blue Hawaiian, jungle juice, pineapple mango, green apple followed by the grape. They have snowcones with many flavors to choose from so that is cool as well. There is also a vast variety of daiquiris to choose from and they are available in different sizes to choose from. Now lets talk about the food, they are known for the hot wings and let me tell you they are good. They have some of the common flavors you would find in a typical wing store. They also have tortas and fish to choose from if you don’t like wings. Now let me tell you about the $5 lunch special. I thought the $5 lunch special was only during the typical lunch hours but one day i went in and asked what the hours for the lunch special were. The guy behind the counter said they have the $5 special all day! $5 SPECIAL ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!! $5 SPECIAL ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!! They have a variety of $5 specials to choose from and they all come with a side of fries and you can add a drink for $0.69 cents. They have wings, fried catfish, tortas etc. This $5 special gets the job done and what i forgot to mention is that the food is made when ordered. The guy behind the counter also told me I could call in advance and place my order and then when I drive up to the place they would have my food ready and i could just pay and be on my way. They do get a bit busy during the weekday lunch hours because they have high school students from down the street visit the restaurant. Every time i been to the restaurant i always had a pleasant experience with the staff here. They are very friendly and helpful when i can’t decide what to get. They always make conversation with me and it makes me feel welcome. If you are ever in this area stop in and try them out. I promise you will love the drinks and everything else too.

The East Side Club – Menu with Prices – 3735 Monona Dr, Madison

The East Side Club reminds me of a cross between a VFW hall and the bars my parents took us to* as kids in northern Wisconsin in the 80s and 90s. I’ve only hung out in the basement bar and the beautiful outdoor lakeside lawn. I’m not sure if the banquet hall has been updated, but these areas look the same as when they were built decades ago. I’ve been to the bar for a cancer fundraiser and a chili cook-off. The chili cook-off was disorganized if you were a newcomer – most people seemed to be regulars and knew the drill, but as newbies we had a heck of time getting any info. The people cooking chili were serving some people, so we tried to buy samples. The only info we got was “you have to buy tickets and they’ll send you through.” So we went to the ticket table and just got stared at while we tried to buy a dollar’s worth of tickets (samples were 25 cents). We were then wordlessly handed them after asking again. We went back to try to get a sample. “Not ready.” Oooookay. We finally talked to a friend who explained samples didn’t start until 1 and everyone had to line up and the people being served were probably just friends of the entrants. Not sure why the three people involved in the cook-off that we spoke to couldn’t have shared this info, but alas. The bar itself has Bud and Bud Light on tap, and a rotating mix of cans (Spotted Cow was $3). There’s also a small selection of liquor (vodka and raspberry Pucker seemed to be popular) and a couple of wines. I’ve had better luck on the lawn in the summer with their Sunset Music Series (if that’s still happening, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve gone). The setting on Lake Monona is gorgeous, their “tiki bar” offered some super cheap bottles (I think cider was $2 my last visit), and the inclusion of food carts made for a tasty and inexpensive dinner. BYO chair and enjoy the sunset. The ESC does have a bocce league that intrigues me every year (but that I often don’t remember until it’s too late to sign up). There’s a mix of member-only events and ones open to the public. It’s also available for event rentals. While the building might lack the wow factor, the view more than makes up for it. *Didn’t grow up in Wisconsin? It’s totally legal and totally normal to take your kids to bars during the day or for dinner, especially in small towns where the bar might be the only place serving food at night.

Cheesy Eddie’s – Menu with Prices – 602 South Ave, Rochester

It’s Good, plain and simply put! The Key Lime Blossom was my favorite item. It was creamy and solid, yet light with an amazing lime flavor that was clearly present but not overpowering. I was glad to see items other than just slices of cheesecake available for purchase. Also tried the carrot cake which was delicious. The cheesecake was good as well! With so many flavored slices to choose from, it was hard to pick just 1, but i went with the Apple streusel and it was a great choice. The Apple streusel isn’t a wild crazy “over-the-top” flavor as described but As I’m writing this I’m just realizing that their “over-the-top” cheesecakes ( as opposed to classic) just means that there are toppings ‘over the top’ of the cheesecake, LOL, not wild outrageous flavors. Wow, Lol Definitely will go back if i need a Cheesecake fix our a freshly made dessert!

La Lecheria: New Mexico Craft Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 101 W Marcy St, Santa Fe

My husband and I passed by this ice cream joint while strolling around downtown Santa Fe. The place and the flavor looked so inviting. We ordered the ice cream flight. It comes in 4 flavors. It was alright. I’ve had better organic ice cream with unique flavors. However, considering that I am in Santa Fe, I liked their green and red chile flavors. They don’t have that many flavor selections of ice cream. I didn’t think my experience in this place was very friendly. First, the girl that was helping was in a hurry. I felt like she wanted me to hurry up and pick my flavors. I haven’t been in this place before and I wanted to sample a few flavors. The sample size they give you to try was so small . This is probably the smallest sample of ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. I felt like she was so stingy! Seriously, the sample wasn’t even enough for me to taste the ice cream!! It’s that bad! So I sampled the green chile, peach and cardamom, and the miso red chile. I wanted to sample another one since I’m getting the ice cream flight. The girl then said, their max is only three samples. WHAT A JOKE?!!! Not only that, she was so stingy with the samples, she was also stingy with how many samples you get. WOW!!! The ice cream wasn’t all that. It’s not like a very popular place like Salt and Straw that they have to treat their customers bettet. I’m sorry I might be a little bit “extra”, but I’ve been to so many ice cream places that are way more friendly, gives generous samples and can sample as much as you want. I mean c’mon their max is three to try??!! Give me a break! I wouldn’t recommend this place to go for ice cream. Not only for their bad customer service and rules, but tlhe ice cream wasn’t that great. I would walk a couple blocks to go to Haagen Daz instead. Their ice cream is even way better!

CherryBerry Self-Serve Yogurt Bar – Menu with Prices – 5107 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls

Alright so let’s start off by a disclosure of stating that me and my wife enjoy our frozen yogurt one of my favorites is salted caramel it’s so good so anyway we go to Cherry Berry tonight who walk-in we’re both adults and children of our own it was just me and the wife tonight looking for some frozen yogurt to soothe our bellies we walk in and we see all the different flavors of yogurt now and it normal person that walks into a yogurt shop doesn’t always necessarily know exactly which flavor of yogurt they want to get so you get a sample cup like any other yogurt shop in the United States you get a sample cup so that way you can sample the yogurt before you buy the yogurt at $0.45 an ounce which is incredibly expensive you would think they can afford a sample now if you have people that are abusing the samples for employees serve the sample cups but don’t take the samples away not for anything but you just lost $60 tonight between myself and my wife that’s on you and if you continue this fashion just like all the other yogurt shops that have shut down in Sioux Falls your shop will be next so anybody looking for frozen yogurt don’t go here because if you don’t like what you get you can’t return it

Urban Margarita – Menu with Prices – 6685 W Beardsley Rd #180, Glendale

Ok, just finished the most delicious Hatch Green Chili breakfast ever!!! I ordered the Urban Skillet with scalloped potatoes. WOW!!! That first bite is always the test for me, and this past with flying colors!!! The scrambled eggs were the absolute fluffiest I’ve ever had!! Most typical scrambled eggs are dense, but not these!!! The ham and sausage used are amazing together, and that Hatch Green Chili Sauce is a taste sensation!!! The scalloped potatoes are creamy, flavorful and just perfect!! Hubby ordered the Enchiladas &Eggs and let me floor you with that!!! It is served as flat, not rolled, which is impressive, then his over-easy eggs and covered with that spectacular Hatch Green Chili Sauce!!! He was in heaven with the first bite!!! This is truly a unique eatery, with not typical Mexican food fare, which is SOOOOOOO needed, especially in this area!!! Thank you to the Borrego’s for creating a relaxing, inviting, gorgeous place with a creative Mannnnnn, we just could NOT stay away!!! Today I ordered the breakfast special of Hatch Green Chili and Pork with eggs, black beans and their home fried. Man oh man was that a taste sensation!!! And those black beans – I’m not a fan of them but these were outstanding with their seasonings and flavor!! Hubby got the hamburger with eggs and Hatch Green Chili’s what a awesome breakfast!!! The hamburger is a coarser grind which is more steak like, which was so flavorful!!! And Bailey, our server, is just the sweetest, most adorable gal ever!!! Kudos to management for her hire!!

Tamarind Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 415 N Military Hwy #27, Norfolk

This place is an amazing hidden gem!!! Hands down best Indian food and the best prices. Went for lunch and it wasn’t too busy but as soon as I walked in the door the incredible aroma told me this place was gonna be good! Had the Meat Thali which is like a sample plate including two meat entrees, apple relish, rice, wheat naan, pappadam and gulab jamun, who could ask for more? The naan was very good to my amazement bc it was flatter than I’m accustomed to, the butter chicken and chili chicken were good but the gulab jamun will stick in my mind and to my ribs for a while! It’s like a fried donut hole soaked in maple syrup and garnished with shaved coconut, YUM! Also had the samosa chaat as a starter and it was delish! And a mango lassi because you kinda have to. Courteous staff, fast service and a good atmosphere. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

DIDA’S PIZZA – Menu with Prices – 2020 Gunbarrel Rd Suite 160, Chattanooga

I noticed that this place was new to the area so I decided to try it. On the menu online, it says that when you pick up a medium 2 topping pizza it costs $6.99. I also had a Local Flavor certificate for $30 that I wanted to use. I ordered 3 pizzas, fried mushrooms, and bread sticks. The man on the phone said my total was going to be $49, which per the menu prices would not be correct. He advised that he would fix it when I got there. When I arrived the man (who I assume is the owner) refused to take my Local Flavor certificate. He said that I could not receive the carry out prices and also use my certificate. I asked him to remove the appetizers, and that I would only be purchasing the pizza if that were the case. The man refused to only let me buy the pizzas that were sitting in front of me. He told me that I had to buy all of the food or none of the food. He wasn’t going to sell me anything that was sitting in front of me ready. He was extremely rude to me and I will never return to this place. Don’t waste your money, this business owner is a huge jerk.
