I swear to God. This location must be cursed. Either that, or the owners don’t change anything but the name, and all the front and back of the house staff are the same as they’ve always been. I went for a happy hour by myself, and again for lunch with a friend to make sure I didn’t have a one off, and sigh. Copper Hog was bad, and this place is no different. While people are nice, the service is pretty slow and terrible. We were the only two people in the place, and somehow a chicken sandwich and some bao took way longer than it should have. The food itself was….fine. We’ve had better, and you shouldn’t sell bao if you can’t get the bun right. Stay far, far away from the Brussels sprouts, which are battered and deep fried, and were so salty (even despite the abundance of agave syrup) I went through my entire glass of water and most of my beer before I got through half the app. It’s a liiiiiiiiiittle more spendy than it should be, especially with all the great places to grab a bite in Bellingham. The interior is such a cool space, but the windows don’t open and there are no ceiling fans, so there is no air circulation. The high ceilings don’t do much for stale air, and it gets really warm during the day due to big windows. The patio area is nice, but the music tends to be a bit too loud. It’s a fine place to have a drink at happy hour, but only if you have lots of time to spare and you aren’t very hungry.

Faialense Sport Club – Menu with Prices – 1121 Cambridge St, Cambridge

Good food and good crowd. Seafood is fresh. And the atmosphere was amazing. We got to know and got talking to the people who were sitting right next to us. They even shared with us their homemade desserts. It was such a fun atmosphere. It felt really nice to be welcomed and be part of a community. It was definitely a different experience. The food was also fresh and the drinks were good too. The only thing is when we come back, we have to go early so that by the time our food arrives, we arent so hungry and almost past our hunger. But this is not their fault. They arent restaurant style/type. We knew this but we had to try it. We should have gone there right when they open. What I noticed is that the people cooking are great at what they do but they dont treat the ticket orders as how restaurants do. We notice that maybe due to the small kitchen, they fire up one dish at a time. So we noticed all of the fish steak dish coming out for the entire dining room, then comes next the shrimp dish etc. Then the steak…so the food for our table didnt come out all at the same time and we all didnt eat at the same time. But thats okay, we decided to share it as family style instead so we can all eat and have something. Next time, we know what to expect. The best thing about this place is that you have that table for the entire night! No one is rushing you to leave! Quite a concept for american diners isn’t it? We’ll be back!

Buffalo Traders Lounge – Menu with Prices – 950 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids

Everything from the decor to the drinks is spectacular! There is obvious thought that goes into each and every aspect of this establishment, with each detail complimenting your experience. The drink menu is stellar, with classics made to perfection and their own cocktail recipes with ingredients put together so well you won’t believe it! However, you do not even need to crack the menu, simply tell your bartender what you’re craving, what you like or what you don’t, or if you’ve had a bad day and they will put the perfect drink in front of you. We especially enjoy the happy hour, but wish there were some kind of window coverings on the wall-sized front windows. When the sun is shining, it creates a horrible back-lighting effect that really hurts the eyes if you’re not actually sitting by the (warm) windows. Occasionally there is a bit of dust on the smaller decor items, but if that is the worst thing about the place, they are doing just fine. Groovy from top to tail. Highly recommend!

Craft Vapor – Menu with Prices – 2528 8th Ave S, Nashville

Must check out! Lots of great flavors and wonderful employees! Worth the drive for me living in Clarksville (hour away). Will definitely be returning. Gentlemen that helped us was as nice as could be and super helpful. We asked lots of questions and wanted to try lots of different flavors and at no point made us feel like we were being a burden! Great place, good vibe, nice people and best of all good prices, cant beat that!

The Sweetest Batch Cupcakery – Menu with Prices – 2237 Lowes Dr Suite E, Clarksville

Dense and the varying frostings are so similar they are barely different. The cupcakes and heavy, literally, not fluffy and moist but wet on the inside as if they arent cooked all the way through. Also, when i went they still had more than 3 hours until closing time and only had 3 different types and less than 7 available. So that tells me they dont bake these freshly throughout the day, just make a giant dense batch in the morning and hope to sell out instead of having multiple fresh options available throughout the day.

Pizza Superstar – Dean St – Menu with Prices – 446B Dean St, Brooklyn

Not happy about any aspect of our experience here. Ordered online for pickup, and the estimate was 10-35 minutes. Mr. F left about 20 minutes later (we live 5 minutes away) and didn’t come back for an entire hour. While he was there, he had a number of workers tell him they were getting someone else to help, and then walk away never to return. He even caught one guy, who had said he was going to make the pizza, sitting down at Broccolino next door having a meal! Finally he got ahold of a manager, who was extremely apologetic about the ridiculously bad service and 1.5 hour wait, and made the pizza in five minutes. Got it home and it was fine, but nothing special. Tasted good, but the crust was a little too thin and not enough cheese. Definitely will not be back. There are too many other pizza places in the area where you can get a fine pie in 15-20 min.

Totally Baked – Menu with Prices – 348 Jefferson St, Savannah

This place is rather new and I had a 1/2 hour to kill while I was waiting for someone nearby so I thought I would stop in a give it a try. It was lunch time and no one else was there so I did wonder about that. I ordered a “Great Dane” which is roast beef with some unique cheese and on marble rye. It was super good. This was a very fine sandwich and it hit the spot perfectly. After tasting the food I hope more people try this place as it is very good and I don’t think many people know about it. The owner was there and he told me he has another more well established restaurant around the corner. He was very friendly. It is small place but very suitable to sit down and have a sandwich with 3 to 4 people. It may be more designed for take out and grab and go. They also sell deli meat by the pound which I will try. One of my new favorite places. If you like deli sandwiches this is your place. Reminds me a bit of NY or NJ deli with a Savannah funky twist. I recommend it!

China King Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 6816 14th St W, Bradenton

I’m updating my review, and had to knock it down a star… Hopefully it doesn’t get rid of my old review, but for some reason China King is no longer accepting credit or debit card payment for their online system? I’m not really certain what’s going on with that but we had to order from a different Chinese food place tonight because that is our preferred means of payment and neither of us had cash on us to pay in cash. Sad, because I really prefer their food over other places, and i’m not really certain whether they are going through some site issues or if the business is having trouble… but here’s my original review in case Yelp does get rid of it. Just know, they are currently not accepting credit cards or debit cards for online payment, and I don’t know anything about whether they accept it in-restaurant or not because we have always ordered online or via phone from them (and MUCH prefer online): “4/5 stars: Have had only one bad experience where they forgot an item we ordered. Didn’t look at many of the other reviews but I am sure it’s mixed reviews as is most Chinese food places. I can only give my personal opinion. Nothing has ever been undercooked when we have ordered, as i’ve had that problem with a few other places, We are huge fans of Chinese food and in my opinion this is the best in the area. They maintain quality while giving you quantity. Their boneless spare ribs are amazing, and their sesame chicken is even better. We order fairly frequently from them (of all the places we’ve ever ordered this has been one of two places we mostly order from for delivery.) They are very kind people on phone and in person and we loves getting our Chinese food fix from them. They cater to what you ask- if you do not want hot peppers in your food they will leave it out for you- if you want something prepared a certain way just ask for it they’re happy to help. Again dishes I would recommend- their egg rolls, egg drop soup, boneless spare ribs, sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli. I’m sure the rest of their menu is just as great. Prices are fair as well, comparatively.”

Dragonfly Tea Bar – Menu with Prices – 3533 E Chapman Ave, Orange

The drinks are good, not great, but a good variety, and if you need a Boba fix in Orange, there arent many choices. It can get busy, but usually its full of ‘students’ on laptops or reading books. Customer service is always friendly, but can take some time to get your drinks at times.Parking is usually pretty good, but because they share the center with a Stater Brothers, In N Out and a 24 Hour Fitness, the traffic in and out of the center gets pretty hectic. Many boba places also have a good selection of food, while Dragonfly is no exception, this is definitely not their strength so my suggestion is head to In N Out, Taco Mesa, or Flame Broiler(next Door) if you want something to eat.

Antojitos Wilmington – Menu with Prices – 800 Shipyard Blvd #17, Wilmington

The food is honestly amazing! Never had a torta in my life but I’m glad I came here! The people are very nice, they dont speak too much English but understand what you need. The little girl at the counter helps alot too. They have plenty of fruit and food to choose from and lots of other treats. Even a freezer for the fruit bars! They also stock lots of the Barcel brand chips and snacks. Everything seems to be extremely fresh and I can see why they have a 98 as their rating! It’s not too pricey but it’s not super cheap either. But you’ll love it here! Gracias Antojitos Wilmington!

Belmont Tavern – Menu with Prices – 784 N Jefferson St, Milwaukee

Belmont Tavern is a very pleasant, stylish spot for a drink. The place is relatively small but feels more spacious thanks to tall ceilings and a wall of glass windows to the street. The decor has touches of art deco. The bartender was friendly and mixed some great drinks during happy hour. The free popcorn was fresh and tasty. The only minor critique I’d have is that the music was a bit loud for the early evening (although the sound system is great.) The volume was more appropriate for later in the evening when the place is hopping, but at the time we were there in the early evening, it was filled with after-work parties and friends chatting in the early evening. Check out the website for nightly specials, or visit from 4 pm to 6 pm for happy hour. I’ll definitely return and explore more of Belmont’s cocktails.

Palm Court of Guyana – Menu with Prices – 17116 Hillside Avenue, Jamaica

Called the restaurant and placed an order for delivery. Person taking the order said food should be at my place in 20mins since I’m 2 blocks from the restaurant. Called back an hour later after the food still didn’t arrive. A man picks up (the owner or manager) and says the last order he has in the system for me is from March. I asked him if he could inquire with one of waitresses about the order and he says “don’t you think they will lie about taking the order”. I’m stunned!! What does that have anything to do with anything? You have to question the integrity of the people that work for you, for something as simple as taking a phone order? Or maybe that was just an excuse because he felt a customer’s business isn’t important enough to even ask his staff. Then he goes on to tell me they don’t deliver past 8pm on Sundays. Sat here hungry for no reason!! They obviously didn’t care!!! The man didn’t even apologize, just put forth lame excuses… they obviously don’t care about the people that keep places like this in business. DONT EAT HERE!!! DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I’VE SEEN FROM A RESTAURANT!!!

RoofTop at Exchange Place – Menu with Prices – 1 Exchange Pl, Jersey City

We went to the terrace because we had flip flops on, so be warned that there are 2 levels and new management is trying to make the upper level more elevated (figuratively not literally), so I’m not sure about shorts (I think those aren’t allowed), no sneakers, no flip flops-you’ll have to be dressed accordingly. So we were confined to the terrace level which wasn’t such a bad thing-the view was beautiful, they had the entire from of the building which is covered in windows open. There are nice lounge areas with plush velvet couches and a huge bar. Right by the windows facing the water the light was absurdly bright (I get that it was approaching sunset but it felt like being in the dentist chair), and there are lower tables and chairs to sit at. There’s table service for food and drinks-we just went to the bar to grab a drink and stood by the open windows. Would have been super peaceful except for the crowd-think lots of entitled kids with their parent who don’t care to parent and aren’t mindful of being in a public place that isn’t necessarily for children. There were strollers galore, trucks and sold spewed all over the floor and I think the thing that put it over the edge were the people (3 couples) with 6 kids (yes, 6) including babies who decided to sit at our table (like literally without asking right on top of us), and then 2 of the moms started breastfeeding. I want to be extremely clear that as a female, I believe that is a natural act, and that women should not feel ashamed, but empowered to do so. That said, I also feel there’s a time and place for everything, and with ample lounges in another portion of the restaurant there were areas more smoky suited for that activity. So, worth it for the view, and hopefully you don’t come when those that are also drinking and dining there are a little more mom and dad’s night out vs what we experienced…
