No, I don’t spend my time at the mall and many of my friends now either. Our mall is going downhill. Many stores within the mall have closed. There are many open fronts left where stores were located. Seniors like to take trips to the mall and stay tfor the afternoon. However, food choices are not in many of our likings. Many mexican and Asian food places. Even Mcdonald’s has left the mall area. Most important the buffet that was there have been gone as well. Just to add to this post…….I hear that the mall has new management and is thinking now of turning it into a higher end mall. That for sure will send more seniors away and families as well. It will be the college kids that like it. However, when summers come and when malls should be the busiest the college students will be gone. No, not smart moves by the management now and sounds like by the management to come.

Knoxville Center Mall – Menu with Prices – 3001 Knoxville Center Dr, Knoxville

Knoxville Center is DEAD! I can’t believe that people are saying that this place used to be crackin’; where? Knoxville Center is struggling pretty badly. This mall is a 2 stories mall. Plenty of room. The lack of stores that this mall has in incredibly disappointing. I have never walked into a mall and there were only 3-4 stores in business! Yes, you heard me right. There was a Jewelry store, a Hot Topic, and a Bath and Body Works. That was IT! Knoxville Center is a big mall that offers 125 (empty) stores. Sadly, the majority of the chain stores have left this mall. The recent store that just left was Victoria Secret. Many of the complaints from business owners are that there are no customers that are coming through and buying anything. The lack of customers are hurting business owners-How are they supposed to make money!? When you go upstairs you will notice a small food court that only has one of the food vendors opened at this time. It was a decent burger joint, but nothing to brag about. It’s very sad to see what a good shopping mall get into disarray was once. Shocking! The only store that I know for sure that will always stay standing is the Belk, at that is because Belk has bought their building. My hopes are that someone takes over this property and reinvent shopping in East Knoxville.

The Crypt Haunted Attraction – Menu with Prices – 1445 W Southern Ave, Mesa

I used to come to this mall all the time for store pick ups from Hot Topic as well as Best Buy. First Best Buy closed so there went my usual entrance into the mall and one of the big reasons I’d stop by. Now I went a week or two ago through a second floor entrance with no issues. Came back yesterday to go shop at Torrid only to find the same exact entrance suddenly closed for no good reason. Now there are only two (first floor) entrances into the mall that are open (I believe only entrances 2 and 4). The Sears doesn’t even allow an entrance into the mall anymore. The mall sucks now though the deals are good at the stores left that I like. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon though due to the annoyance of having to navigate entrances and the fact one of the stores I like will be closed before the end of October anyway.

Westfield Galleria at Roseville – Menu with Prices – 1151 Galleria Blvd, Roseville

Excellent mall to visit. After it was built the people of Roseville, CH and surrounding areas no longer went to Arden Fair or much less. This mall is super clean and well kept. Good layout and stores. They keep the ghetto riff raff that proliferates Arden Fair to a minimum. Arden Fair was in the news for shootings, fights, thefts. They had to bump up security and safety. Most of these losers are the punk teens from the ghetto who go to cause trouble especially in the summer when they are out of school. Although, there was a video captured fight at The Galleria, these incidents are rare there. They take good care and secure this mall. It seems Roseville has much nicer facilities. Probably because of the higher income levels and retirees. It remains a nicer suburb than trashy Sacramento county. Sometimes I consider a move to Rocklin or Roseville where there is less crime and nicer and more chains and cool eateries that go there to open. Roseville Galleria has restaurants, food court and even many big box stores surrounding the Mall area. I enjoy going to the Galleria with my fam instead of Arden Fair. The only bad is that Hwy 65 is pretty terrible traffic but good that the Galleria exit is the next one off Hwy 65 so that makes it tolerable.

South Plains Mall – Menu with Prices – 6002 Slide Rd, Lubbock

I’m here daily. Staff is nice, place is clean. You have quite a few options for eating. I haven’t run into any rude people yet. Play areas for little kids, places to sit if you’re with a shopper, but not really a shopper yourself. My only reason for giving 4 vs. 5 stars is that there are only 2 public restrooms in the main mall… at least that I know of. Anchor stores (Dillard’s, JC Pennies, etc.) have their own but only 2 in the actual mall. So if you got to go, hopefully, you’re close to one or be prepared to make a bit of a walk. Otherwise, it’s good.

Franklin Avenue Mac House – Menu with Prices – 3428 Franklin Ave, Waco

Go on Wednesday! We got all 5 of the Mac Daddies for our family of 7 (3 adults, 3 kids, baby). Because it was Waco Wednesday, each one was only $5. We also got some lemonade. It was all delicious! We finished Big Jim first, then The OG, Mr. T & Uncle Rico tied and we had about 3 bites of Notorious PIG left. There’s a nice searing area shaded from the sun and making it feel like you aren’t right by the road. We went back for about 3 rounds of lemonade, which the kids LOVED. The staff were amazing, helpful, and so sweet to our kids! The bathroom was clean, adorable, had a changing table… It was great. The only thing we missed was a high chair, but we are still giving it 5 stars! We even wrote a couple post cards to grandparents and they will send them for us. The kids loved them and I know the grandparents will, too. Definitely worth the stop!!

Tobu Oriental Eatery – Menu with Prices – 1751 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd, West Palm Beach

I enjoyed a couple of visits to this mall while staying at the La Quinta nearby. There is plenty of parking and a very wide choice of restaurants and stores. The mall gets very busy at the weekends.Make up and beauty is particular well represented by very large Sephora and Ulta stores that we don’t have in the UK. The staff at both were very keen to make you welcome and suggested new things to try. Nordstrom is huge with a great choice of items. There is a great branch of American Eagle Outfitters with great prices. The mall is well landscaped and there are plenty of clean restrooms.I enjoyed my visits very much.

Franz Bakery Outlet – Menu with Prices – 6701 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver

If you are a senior, Wed is the best day to visit. It has an additional 10% off for seniors. The prices are already great. I get our favorite bread for 3 for $5. It retails for $3.49/loaf in grocery stores. There is a little something for every one and they usually have something to sample at the front check out. Help is stable and helpful. I load up about once a month and freeze my selections, to use as needed.

The Japanese Garden @ East-West Center, HI – Menu with Prices – 1777 East-West Rd, Honolulu

We all know that the best thing about college is the fun you get to have. Booze, Parties, Hangovers, and Hookups. That’s what we all look forward to when we go off to college right? Well, at least that’s what the typical college student would probably say. Not me. Personally, I was never one to go out and party until I puked. I didn’t even really drink when I finally turned 21. With that said though, I do enjoy a good beer or a glass of wine every now and again. Knowing what I just admitted to then, it might not be much of a surprise to know that until about a month and a half ago, I had never set foot into Manoa Gardens (at least not for an alcoholic drink). It took exactly three years and my cousin’s semi-alcoholic behind (only joking btw) to get me to come to this bar (& he’s not even a student at UH! In fact, he’s never even attended the school!!). Go figure! I honestly don’t know why it’s taken me so long to grab a drink here. For years since turning 21, my friends have continuously made plans to come here. We’ve even talked about possibly grabbing a beer just minutes before going to take our final exams so we could “clear our heads”. Lol. But, for some reason it just never really happened. I actually find it kind of funny that the semester that I’m graduating from UH is the semester I finally went to the bar on campus. #Yolo #notreallythough I know, it’s not everyday that you see a bar on a college campus. In many ways, it could be a double edge sword. — I mean, cheap drinks? Hello, of course! (& they can make you pretty much every drink you can think of!!) It may not be good on your liver at the end of the day, but it’s certainly good on your wallet! But, on the other hand, we all know what crazy things can happen at bars…Ah! Who am I kidding?! Forget I even said that! On that note, I’m gonna leave all you youngins with a little advice…advice that I probably would’ve given 21-year-old me, if I had the chance. — Live it up, kids! Study hard, and party harder (if your liver can handle it.). But, know your limit(s).

Escape Lounge ONT T4 – Menu with Prices – 2900 E Airport Dr, Ontario

What a sad airport this is now. Lots of closed stores and not much to choose from if your hungry. What’s wrong with the management here. I think they are very hostile towards the traveling citizens and are trying to distract them somehow. I remember when this was a nice airport. Look what is has turned into. A mess…… this airport should be ashamed of themselves for letting this airport get so run down. Sad for sure. Take our tax money and squander it on themselves. Let the travelers suffer. What a mess still here. The escalator has been broke for weeks!!! Really??? What kind of an airport is this??? 3rd world. Why doesn’t the coty or at least the airports make the repairs. CALIFORNIA is turning into a complete mess and this airport is leading the way there. What a shot hole of a mess here. I cannot believe how rundown this place is and all you hear the ONTARIO politicians say is how nice it is. They need to take a close look and see what this crap hold has turned into. What a mess. I am embarrassed for the airport that was once a really nice place. The escalator up has seen broken for 2 months now and you have to use the down escalator. That means when you get back you have to carry your bag down the steps. What a crap hole this airport has become. A real mess that no one cares for. Sad time 2 months and the escalator still broke. What a mess. Who is in charge here???? They should be fired!!!! Get someone that gets the job done not a loser like the person running this airport. Come on make repairs. I’m going to fly out of Orange County from now on. This airport sucks. They do not take care of it at all. Classic IE mentality. Let it go to shit like the town.

Hotel Indigo Harrisburg Hershey – Menu with Prices – 765 Eisenhower Blvd, Harrisburg

I booked a stay here with my best friend for our annual girls weekend. We had nothing but trouble from the start, check in went fine aside from a pretty long wait, but we can deal with that. We came up to our room to find it very hot, stuffy, and musty, we also booked two queen beds and had two double beds. Kids everywhere. Literally everywhere. We figured booking a “nicer” hotel might save us from that even though we are in proximity of Hershey. Nope. Not at all. Not only kids EVERYWHERE, but out of control kids everywhere. So back to the hot, stuffy room – we figured it was because we had just arrived and the air just kicked on, so we went to the bar (where the bartender was awful in the best way, we got hammered for $21!) came back up to the room and despite the air being on 66, still hot & stuffy. I went down to the front desk around 6:30 and was told by the guy there he’d come up as soon as someone else got there. Okay, no problem, we’re heading out for dinner around 8:15, but feel free to go in. We got back from dinner around 11:15 and still stifling. No one had been in there. I go back down, am told someone will be up in 20-30 minutes. At that point it’s almost midnight, so I say we’ll deal with it in the morning. Original guy from 6:30 shows up at our door a few minutes later, does something that makes it sort of work. I send an email the next morning about the unsatisfactory level of our stay and hear back from Chad stating that I’ll hear from his assistant general manager shortly. I wait about 3 hours and never hear from anyone. I emailed Chad back about never hearing from anyone and never heard back from him either, so shout out to you, Chad! We leave the hotel around 2pm. At this point I notice the assistant general manager at the desk so I stop and talk to her. She clearly knew about our problem as she knew our room number as soon as I started talking and said she’d send someone up. We came back around 5pm and the air seemed to have finally be fixed. I shouldn’t be needing to hunt people down to do their job while I’m on vacation when I’m told they’ll be in touch with me. On top of all of this, the hotel is also absolutely filthy. Bags of trash and dirty linens everywhere. The leaky bag was there for hours yesterday, just right outside the elevator, dirty linens in the hallway for over 24 hours. And the WiFi doesn’t work. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Outback Steakhouse – Menu with Prices – 4518 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro

The dining atmosphere is a definite upgrade from the previous outbacks in Greensboro. Server was great and food was greater. Only downside is when my family wants take out. Their curbside take-away service has very friendly servers but…I’ve been here since 7:35 and its now 8:06 and still waiting along with 5 other cars. This is my second take-away experience and the first one was so long I had to go inside. Hope management can fix this it would help a lot with customer irritability……… Ok so I came back to edit this post. Time spent at outback tonight waiting on my order was from 7:35-9. I didn’t even want to check my order I just wanted to get the heck out and back home. My wife ordered a medium well steak and she now has a very rare steak. Manager and take out staff were very apologetic and I kept calm and was friendly back. The other hour long waits from other customers were not so nice. Manager said dinner was on them. But soon found out she couldn’t do a refund at the moment so she wanted my address to send me something in the mail. All i have to say is I’m tired. My kids are asleep. I missed my time after work with them due to waiting on dinner and I hope they fix what ever the problem was. I really just hope someone from outback will see this review and fix the problem.
