I didn’t know that this was a must-visit spot until I randomly came across it! My boyfriend is a big coffee drinker and wanted to grab some coffee on our walk home from lunch. He found this on yelp and we headed over. It’s in a very quiet area a few blocks over from the main street. The inside is no-frills. They sell coffee beans and coffee equipment and there’s an area where the baristas are. My boyfriend ordered the vanilla iced coffee and it came out really quick. He loved the coffee! We would’ve purchased coffee beans if we had space in our carry-ons. They gave me a free latte since they were practicing latte art with a few cups. I thought this was really sweet of them! I added a little bit of vanilla syrup and it was amazing! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I know when I’m drinking a good cup. The cherry on top was the employees. They were all so sweet and funny. They all seemed like they enjoyed each other’s presence and made us feel really comfortable! Overall, I loved coming here and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quaint place to grab a quick cup of coffee. FYI, they are not open on Sundays. S/o to the eco friendly plastic ?

Valentine Coffee Co. – Menu with Prices – 5918 W Vliet St, Milwaukee

Update on 6/11/19 & 6/12/19: returned and tried their seasonal Lavender Latte (hot) and vanilla bean latte (hot). The lavender latte was very flora and calming and the lavender taste stayed in my mouth for a long time. The coffee itself tasted not very strong. So that is something perfect for when you feel you want not just caffeine but a bit more fun/flavor. The vanilla bean latte was very smooth, rich and sweet. But the level of sweetness was just right – I mean you would definitely say it is a sweet drink but it doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable. Previous review: I have bought bags of coffee beans from them, and they are all in season, fresh and great beans (I judged beans by their colors, smells, shapes, and the feelings when I hold them in hand). However, for some reason I never sat down and tried their latte or mocha which are recommended by many people until recently. Sooo, I went on a weekday morning to grab a large sea salt mocha (all sizes include 2 shots as standard) and a power scone. First of all, temperature of the drink was right, which was very important for an espresso drink to me. Second, the milk foam was light yet dense. Well done! Third, the drink was no over sweet but smooth and rich. In addition, the power scone which is not sweet yet dense and nutty went very well with the drink. So together, they really warmed and energized me up! Atmosphere was great. Staff were roasting or making coffee, some customers were reading, others like me were grabbing coffee for work.

Turks Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 1276 Commercial Dr, Vancouver

Cute little coffee shop on The Drive with yummy coffee and a patio perfect for people-watching. My friend and I stopped in here after brunch to grab some lattes to go. For me a vanilla almond milk latte and for my pal a regular vanilla latte. I loved my little caffeine fix. I’m not sure if it was the coffee itself, the vanilla, or the almond milk, but whatever those baristas did, I really, really enjoyed my latte. Seems like a great place to hang out and catch up with a friend or post up and get some work done. It’s quite small in here, so I can imagine that it would get full quickly, especially on a warm, sunny day. Overall, yummy coffee, friendly baristas, and cute decor from other local businesses. While there are plenty of coffee shops on The Drive, this one will definitely be one of my top ones to visit and recommend.

Horizon Line Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1417 Walnut St B, Des Moines

I don’t take five stars lightly, but Horizon Line is the gold standard of coffee. My husband and I love trying new places, but this is one we make a point to go back to, or even drive to for the day. This place makes great coffee (we’ve loved everything we’ve tried) and makes you feel good. First of all, the no plastic concept – amazing idea and well executed. Please share your knowledge with my favorite Iowa City shops! There may have been initial hiccups, but we never felt them! Second, the price. I’ve found that my iced vanilla latte is under average price, which is especially amazing given the lack of plastic. I expected a sharp increase in price, but saw very little change, maybe a quarter or two. Finally, the actual product. Here, I usually treat myself to an iced vanilla latte and I’ve truly never seen it made like they do here. They use a martini shaker to mix and I think also to help make it colder before it’s poured into a glass container. All iced latte, no ice. Seriously, my favorite latte. Thanks Horizon Line, for your coffee, your sweet employees, and your conscious effort to save the planet. Can’t wait to come back!

Coffee Guy Cafe – Menu with Prices – 6700 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola

The Coffee Guy Cafe is AMAZING!!! Large, open atmosphere with AWESOME baristas and customer service!!! As a tea drinker, for years I was limited to Starbucks for my varied tea drinks. No longer! The Coffee Guy is closer to my business, and I can just walk over for goodies! The CHAI tea latte, LONDON FOG latte (with Earl Grey or Jasmine Green), and the MATCHA GREEN tea latte, all with soymilk, of course, are my faves!!! The oatmeal, soups (especially the chicken and wild rice), and chicken salad (better than Fresh Market’s) are delish!! I want to try the mini Belgian waffles!!! They look and smell AMAZING!! The chocolate, espresso cake is a super charged, appeased chocolate-craving, delight!!! Even though I’m not a coffee drinker, I LOVE coffee foods, and that cake does not disappoint!!! Gennessi is super sweet, amazing, and always remembers my preferences!!! Blake is the same and so full of personality, and super, super sweet! Everyone here is AWESOME, but bad for me, that I don’t remember their names! Luckily, she is here, while I’m writing this review!! Otherwise, others would be mentioned by name! I ALWAYS look forward to seeing the friendly baristas!!!

Java Daddies – Menu with Prices – 1118 Howard St, Omaha

This is the cutest place. I’ve been here maybe 3-4 times and everyone who works here that I’ve encountered is so sweet and welcoming, and they all make FANTASTIC coffee! My favorite is an iced vanilla latte, my go-to at any coffee shop, and their’s is so good with enough coffee flavor peeking through so it’s not just another crazy sweet latte like a lot of other shops make. 10/10 so good. Again, everyone in there is always so friendly and they make it a very comfortable place to sit and hang out or to just run in and get a quick drink. My favorite coffee shop downtown for sure.

Grab-A-Java – Menu with Prices – 3115 Hedley Rd, Springfield

My Saturday morning stop at Grab A Java is something that I look forward to all week long. Their coffee is fantastic and their iced soy latte is one of the best cups of coffee that I’ve ever tasted. As a self proclaimed coffee addict, I’ve had my fair share of caffeine and Grab A Java is near the top of my list of favorites. I only wish they had more places to sit besides one small outdoor table so that I could spend all my time there sipping on my cup of happiness.

1951 Coffee Company UCB Menu with Prices 2495 Bancroft Way, Berkeley

I come here pretty frequently, and I’m always really happy with the service and coffee I get here! Praise: – Iced Latte with Oat Milk is probably one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had. It can be a bit pricy, but I would argue that for the organization’s mission, it’s worth spending a little bit extra. It’s also pretty hard to find oat milk around here at the time of writing this review, and there’s something about it that’s so much better than soy/almond milk. – Matcha Latte + Vanilla Iced Latte also taste really good if you’d prefer something sweeter! – It is really conveniently located! Hella people study in MLK + pass by it on the way to class, and I’d argue it has better coffee than other on-campus options. – The employees have always been really sweet and friendly! And quick if you’re not there during a rush! Growth Areas: – I wish they had just iced coffee — a couple of times I’ve asked if they have just iced plain coffee but I’m under the impression that they only have regular hot coffee + the iced espresso drinks + cold brew. I might just be wrong, but I’ll check again. – I touched on this before, but it can be a bit pricey. Understandable given the quality of the food/drinks and the mission, but probably not the most amenable to a college student clientele. – I wish they had Snackpass! It would make it a lot more convenient to order + beat lines. Overall, I’m so glad this place is right in the middle of the Student Union. Will definitely be back!

Mai Kai Kava Bar – Menu with Prices – 17 W University Ave, Gainesville

Brief stop in Gainsville resulted in visiting Wyatt’s! The Coffee Mayday Affogato made vanilla ice Cream with espresso was spot on. Venti Vanilla Latte was definitely driven by the great coffee. There are great pastries available. The Guava Croissant was to die for. Loved the cool ambiance vibe . Obvi that Mai Kai was loaded with students on laptops. Loved the social environment! I’ll have to remember this caffeine pit stop!

Indian River Coffee Company – Menu with Prices – 2112 Sarno Rd, Melbourne

OMG! The difference you can taste! Me and my coworker are coffee snobs and while traveling for work we got the traditional hotel coffee (which is usually from SB) and of course it was horrible. We decided to try Indian River Coffee Company and you can definitely taste the difference. I never write reviews, but this coffee was so good they deserve this review. Thanks for making my coffee drinking experience delightful on my first trip to Melbourne, FL. EDIT—> I got the vanilla latte (10/10 would recommend)

Meg’s Daily Grind RVC – Menu with Prices – 3301 N Mulford Rd, Rockford

Nice staff and they’re so awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was that they close too early during my summer classes, they have absolutely fresh coffee. I tried a salted caramel mocha and it tasted super delicious. Another time I tried a a vanilla latte but I didn’t really like it it felt too bitter. If you’re a regular coffee drinker then this place for you, but if you’re looking for the fancy type of coffee thier price are so high for the premium quality coffee (maciato, salted mocha, latte). They also have stubs card if you want to be a lot long term customer which makes you collect points everytime you go there and do a purchase. Their backed stuff is really good special the tiny brownies and the muffins. Overall it’s a nice place to stop by and get something to eat or drink (like Tim Hortons in Canada ).

Jubilee Roasting Co. Menu with Prices 1452 Kenton St, Aurora

My boyfriend and I were recently in Aurora for the first time and wanted coffee/tea, so we ended up at Jubilee. The inside is super cute and was very busy; they also have outside seating. Between the two of us we ordered the ham&cheese croissant, cinnamon bun muffin, chai tea latte, coffee, and a specialty drink (I can’t remember the name). Food: The croissant and muffin were good – good sizes and tasty. Definitely get them both heated, although if you are sitting outside on an October morning they will get cold quickly. Drinks: I am not a coffee drinker, but my boyfriend said that this is probably the best coffee he’s ever had… and he drinks a lot of coffee! They have an option to do a bottomless mug if you plan to stay there, which is definitely the route to go. He did not do that and regretted it shortly after, so he ended up going back in to get the bottomless. I got the chai latte w/oat milk. Their chai is on the milkier side rather than spicy, but it is still delicious! The specialty drink I got was called the Camp Dance or something like that – a mix of chai and apple cider and spices steamed together. It is SO good and the perfect fall drink!! We love Jubilee so much we wanted to go back, but it is closed on Sundays.

Awakenings Coffee House Menu with Prices 10650 W Overland Rd, Boise

This place is adorable and has great offerings. All of the food looked amazing and what I ordered and my friends ordered was delicious. The coffee options were good and I had a vanilla latte that was tasty. The location is also large and appointed nicely. I will be coming back. The other neat part was that the art inside the space was all made by local refugees, so they are supporting the local community, which I love. I think the only reason I gave four Stars instead of five was because we ordered to stay in and we were given to go cups, and I feel like this is something that could be changed to help the environment and who doesn’t love a delicious latte in a nice cup?
