Wow! The dinner special for Saturday night was an amazing combination of fork-tender lamb shanks, creamy mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables. Our waitress returned after taking our order to tell us that they had run out of the broccoli and would substitute a veg combo. We got both carrots and cauliflower. We like this restaurant and visit fairly frequently, but this was our first time on a Saturday evening. They offer a Chef’s Special & when I learned it was lamb, my choice had been made. My husband and I generally order different entrees & occasionally share bites of particularly flavorful dishes. I told him if he wanted to try the lamb, he better order his own plate, since I had no intention of sharing!! So we both enjoyed this very well prepared meat dish and the side dishes too. We will definitely be back to try another chef’s special, as well as their burgers, halibut & chips. It’s great having reliably great restaurant meals close to home…

Ming’s Asian Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 4665 Lower Roswell Rd Suite 101, Marietta

The only way I can describe this place is delightful!!! We went here a few days ago for the first time and we were so pleasantly surprised. Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance was great! Our server from Laos was SO sweet, charming and attentive. She really made us feel welcomed! She was great in giving us detail about the dishes when we asked and made great recommendations. I told her I wanted really spicy food and sh said they could make it as hot as I wanted. She was right! It’s the first time in a long time I’ve been to a restaurant in this area to get the level of heat that I need just right! We ordered a pad Thai and the curry lamb. The pad Thai was so yummy and my curry lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was bold and flavorful. The portions were huge also. We needed two boxes to take home what we had left. Anyone who complains about portions at this place must be talking about another restaurants because one dish is big enough for two people. I was concerned about pricepoint but after seeing the portions I thought tit was more than reasonable. My only regret is not having tried this place sooner.

Alrayan Market & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1107 Memorial Blvd # 107, Murfreesboro

The 5 star reviews you see here are delusional or I must have come on a really bad day. I should have received a refund on a horrible $11.99 lunch buffet, as should have my business associate. I have been wanting to try Al Rayan for several weeks, as it was closed at the beginning of the July for the owners vacation. To begin, I was seated at 12:25pm. I looked at the buffet and side dishes and the food was sparse. I thought surely they would all be restocked. The main courses had foil around the pans so you could not see inside. I took one drumstick and a small piece of bony lamb. I also tried a few of the other sides. My plate was overall sparse, as I always try a little of each dish as to not be wasteful when eating ethnic foods i am not used to. The chicken was very good, as was the eggplant. I went back to make my actual plate, and nothing was in the pans! I told the server I was looking to have some chicken, and he stated they were not planning to make more, nor any of the other dishes. It wasn’t even 1pm! I basically only ate rice and a salad for lunch. To their credit, the salad was fresh. No manager came to my table after I asked for food I paid for. I noticed other people getting up looking for food as well. The customer service lacked. I was ripped off, as I did not get any meat except for a small chicken leg, and a couple bites of lamb. The soup was VERY bland, and not hot. This was not what I expected at all when i saw the reviews. I was looking for great food, and what I got was an under stocked, sub par lunch buffet. If the owner ran out of food in less than an hour of a lunch rush of a main dish, they should let the customer know, and cook something in the back in limited quantity, or not be charging an exhorbant $11.99 price in a city the size of Murfreesboro for a salad bar (basically what I had). Too many choices in Murfreesboro for Mediterranean food to have to put up with this place. Opah is awesome, as is the Greek restaurant next to Kroger on Cason Lane. I also like The Parthenon.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar – Menu with Prices – 9292 Warren Pkwy Suite 320, Frisco

OK sushi, but really fun concept that I wish they would have more of in other large cities. Basically, the gimmick at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is in the title, the revolving sushi bar or conveyor belt. Customers sit down at their tables and can either order dishes made by the sushi chefs and have it sent to them via the revolving sushi bar or they can pluck items from it that have been rotating around the entire restaurant. If it’s your first time here, you’ll have tons of fun, maybe even a little too much fun to the point you’ve overspent. We came here with my family on a Saturday evening at 7:30pm and there was only a short wait. Once we got seated, we went straight to work and started taking different sushi dishes off of the conveyor belt. I have to admit, it was a lot of fun just taking dishes off of the revolving bar and not having to order/wait for our food. And you might ask, so how do you pay for the dishes that were taken from the revolving bar? Simple, there’s a small opening at the edge of every table that can fit a small plate. After customers are done with the plates, they slide it into the opening and it’ll count towards their total number of plates eaten. For items that were specially ordered, those will automatically be tallied because the system knows you ordered it. As for the food, the sushi was OK. There was a good variety – salmon, tuna, eel, beef, tamago, etc – but there’s only 2 pieces of sushi on every plate and the rice could have been a little fresher. For our 1st time here, it was a fun experience and something different than the usual order and wait for your food. Would we try it again? Definitely. It wasn’t bad at all.

Yifan Catering and Cooking school – Menu with Prices – 10820 Abbotts Bridge Rd #370, Duluth

This is a hidden gem for any foodie interested in authentic Chinese food. The restaurant itself is primarily a catering service for private parties and dinners, but among the local Chinese word-of-mouth, Yifan may be the best spot in the whole ATL to get authentic Chinese cuisine from all parts of China. The key ingredient to their success: chefs here aren’t professionally trained restaurant chefs. They’re an assortment of your family aunts or uncles. This is Chinese home cooking at its finest. Here’s how they work: They’re only open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday. Yes, they close on Monday’s and Sunday’s and they’re not open for dinner at all any day. They have two options for food: buffet days, and combo days. The price is the same Tuesday through Friday (about $10), and on Saturday, (about $20). The buffet days are an AYCE and the combo days are a fixed plate of a variety of homemade dishes. Either the AYCE or the combo meals will blow you away on price, value, and authentic Chinese cooking. Here’s a sample of what they served last week from Tuesday through Friday. Note there’s no English menu (just Chinese), so if you don’t read the language you’ll just have to try it to find out. Monday Closed Tuesday Hundred Leaves Braised Beef Eggplant Beef Strips Stir Fry Cold Rice Noodles Wonton Soup Little Dough Bites Eight Treasure Porridge Wednesday Braised Beef and Tendon Ground Beef String Beans Chicken Strip Tossed Noodles Onion Leek Pie Coconut Tapioca Soup Thursday Fermented Chicken Mapo Tofu Vegetarian Stir Fry Little Doughnuts Special Italian Seafood Linguini Tulip Beef Bone Soup Friday Yuxiang Beef Chicken Strips with Celery and Beans Mushroom Veggie Dish Hot and Spicy Rice Noodles Little Dough Bites Purple Sticky Rice Porridge Saturday Surprise day – an assortment of all of the above plus others, including dessert All of the days offer free white rice, water, juice, hot tea, and on random days, a special dessert from their pastry chef. The one downside from this spot is that they’re only open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday. So unless you work in the area or can stop by on Saturday for lunch, well, then you’ll never get the chance to try these guys out. Bottom Line The menu constantly changes so next week there will be something new. I cast my vote for Yifan as the most authentic Chinese restaurant in all of ATL. The cuisine here is a mix of all regions of China–Northern, Shanghainese, Sichuan, Hunan, and even Southern.

East Bay Cafe Depot – Menu with Prices – 37260 Fremont Blvd, Fremont

Lamb Tocino?! Now, why not?! This is why I came here! Never had this before in all Filipino restaurants. I think though they are confused as their have american breakfast dishes as well so I would not consider this place only Filipino food. This place has a mixture of dishes. The place has gone through a few owners and has been around for awhile from what I have heard. You would never guess their was a restaurant here?! I thought it was a train station as this place is right next to the Amtrak station. Place is not big either unless you eat outside. They have a nice patio. Met with Wanda the owner who was very friendly but busy doing everything. She seemed to be on her own when we came. We came here with a few people. I shared a pork sisig while I had their lamb tocino. The lamb tocino was not gamey at all and was very good with their garlic rice and sunny side egg. Their pork sisig was ok. I have had better. Prices were pricy at under $10 ea. I will have to try their other dishes one day. I tried their honeydew smoothie but it was not a milk smoothie like I thought but an ICEE like at a 7-11 convenient store. Totally not worth the $4.50?!! Don’t get it! That was a disappointment and I ended up throwing it away! I give this place a good solid three stars as the lamb tocino idea and service was good. Nothing special about the rest but dishes offer a decent homecooked simple meal. Prices could be cheaper though. My suggestion only…[34/100]

Bodacious Pizza LLC – Menu with Prices – 309 Aragona Blvd Suite 105, Virginia Beach

Wife and I were here this past Saturday, and the Hostess greeted us promptly, and we seated ourselves after having to get 2 Menu’s ourselves. After letting the Waitress that we wanted Water to drink, we looked over the Menu’s to see what we wanted. Wife decides to get a Cheeseburger, and I see they have Chicken Parmigiana Subs. We let the Waitress know what we wanted, and we waited about 10 minutes before our food is served to us. I take a few bites out of my Sub, and noticed that there was very little Tomato Sauce on my Sub. It was Dry due to the little amount on it. My Wife notices that there is a Couple sitting not too far from us as I mention the Dryness of the Sub, and she see’s that the Woman at the other table is eating Spaghetti, and the Tomato Sauce was non-existed as well. If a place is going to serve Tomato Sauce on their food. it should be there in to where you can enjoy it very much. As for my Wife’s Cheeseburger, she said it was good with some spices in it which she could not place. The only thing is that there was no Ketchup for her to put on her Cheeseburger, and that there was no Onion on it as well. As for the Sides that comes with our Dinner, we had got the Red Potato’s. When we get them, they are served in a tiny cup that is on the plate! What is that about?! It was enough for maybe 3 – 4 Bites before they were gone. If you come here, just stick with the Pastries, even though we didn’t get to try them yet, don’t order the Spaghetti, Chicken Parmigiana, or anything else that has Tomato Sauce with it, or the Red Potato’s as well for your side.

Al Baraka Market – Menu with Prices – 3815 Hillsborough St b, Raleigh

The two of us went to Al Baraka about 8:30pm after spending FirstFriday downtown. The food was very good, and the restaurant was perfect for our situation and style. It is simple and relaxed — place order at the counter, food brought to the inside or street-side table, bus your own dishes afterward — and the menu choices are conventional East Mediterranean and Middle East. Not complaining at all about either aspect! I had the Grilled Lamb Platter with grilled vegetables as the ‘side dish’ (the bed that the pieces of lamb were served on). Flavor was great for both. There was also an amply sized lettuce/tomato/onion/cucumber salad included, sprinkled generously with feta and provided with a tasty dressing on the side with feta in it, Great tzatziki, but no pita — and didn’t ask for any, I admit. Very filling. My companion had the lamb gyro sandwich and was equally pleased. Raleigh is blessed with good Mediterranean restaurants, and we’ll be back to Al Baraka.

Habibi Halal Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2614 Main St, Buffalo

5/4/2019 – If you’re in the mood for great customer service, and even better food, then Habibi Halal Restaurant is the place to visit. I visited Habibi Halal for the first time on 5/3/2019. Walking into the establishment, I didn’t know what to expect. The owner immediately extended a warm greeting and directed me to the menu. He seemed very genuine in his demeanor, and made me feel right at home. I played it safe and ordered the Koftah and the Beef Galaba. While waiting for those dishes to be prepared, I decided to throw in the Chicken Galaba. I also ordered the Lamb Chops as a side dish (with no rice). My order was to take home, not to dine in. There was ample room to dine in, and a visual inspection of the tables, bathroom (which surprisingly smelled nice), and kitchen revealed that all were clean; albeit in need of minor organizing. Now, on to the fun part. When I got home, each mouthful made me realize the potential of Habibi Halal. The Chicken and Beef Galaba were succulent and moist. The rice was well cooked, the salad crisp, and the chutney (side sauce) was HOT! All of the dishes were made of high quality ingredients, and the meats were fresh. I began the meal thinking that the Koftah would be the best. I was wrong. The Koftah was really good, but in my opinion, the Lamb Chops were the star of my entire order. I would highly recommend the Lamb Chops. They were fresh, juicy, and flavorful. I ate so many Lamb Chops I lost count! Overall, based on the impressive food and excellent customer service, I believe that Habibi Halal will see much success once they become known. I encourage you to visit them and see for yourself. Why take my word for it?

Wing Street – Menu with Prices – 401 South Belcher Road, Clearwater

A trifecta for Quality, Quantity & Service. This one has been on my radar for awhile and so glad we took the time to find it. Hidden in a strip mall on Belcher near the corner of Gulf to Bay, I knew it was a good sign that it was busy despite being a bit tucked away. Lots of tables, welcoming and very clean. Even an open kitchen concept, so you can see the chefs at work. And after tasting their food, I’d call them chefs:) We started with the Fried Smoked Gouda appetizer with their House-made Spiced Jelly. Crisp, not a hint of grease and 4 really large pieces fried to perfection, nestled atop a pool of spicy (aka flavorful but not) hot jelly. It was even accompanied by a tasty little side salad as part of the plate. I plated one for myself and my husband pointed out a fancy restaurant would have charged the same price for two of the Gouda. And it was really Gouda;) Our entrees were such generous portions, we could have easily shared especially after an appetizer but go big or go home seemed to be our motto today. I had one of the weekend specials of Chicken Schnitzel with a creamy Hunter/ mushroom sauce. That sauce was so delicious I considered bathing in it;) And the secret was they use Marsala wine instead of white wine. It made for a wonderful balance of savory with a hint of sweet. My husband had their Eastern European Mixed Grill plate. Thick, fluffy yet crispy edged pita type bread paired with a host of sausages, grilled beef & lamb patty and flavorful chicken kebabs. He got the plate/portion for one person but it is very shareable with a host of condiments such as sour cream, feta, diced onions and a sofrito like roasted tomato sauce for dipping or slathering on. All that plus fries equals a very good meal and lots of leftovers. For being a fairly busy Sunday afternoon, our server was friendly, efficient and as a bonus she has a really nice smile. Highly recommended and as a PS I walked by a table with the Daily News pizza and it looked fantastic. I’ll be back.

Urban Tandoor – Menu with Prices – 8125 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs

Overall, the restaurant and food were great. Once the service catches up with everything else, I think this place could be a fantastic restaurant. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside, and tastefully decorated. There was lively music and even a wall playing music videos as well. It was very tasteful in decor and I was surprised that it was much nicer than expected (I certainly felt underdressed in leggings and a tee), but it was still comfortable. Our waiter was a very sweet young man who promptly brought us water and menus. We ordered our dinner and he was honest in saying he had no idea how to spell what we ordered and playfully asked to see the menu to write it down. He was great, since we couldn’t pronounce our dishes anyways. I can’t remember the names of the dishes, but one was a lamb kebob and one was a chicken kebob. About 5 minutes after ordering, our waiter returned and told me the lamb kebob I ordered couldn’t be made because they were lacking the ingredients. Not troubled by this I just ordered another lamb-based dish. About 15 minutes later, my husband’s chicken kebab was brought out. I was very surprised to see that, for $18, his dish consisted of about 6 cubed pieces of chicken and a side of sauces to dip them in. It hardly looked like an appetizer and for the price, I had been expecting more. He was disappointed, to say the least. My food hadn’t been brought out, so we continued to wait. He didn’t want to eat without me – since he’d be done rather quickly – so we continued to wait. In the meantime, who I assume was one of the owners of the restaurant came by and asked us how things were. I simply told her fine, and that was that. About 15 minutes after my husband’s food was brought out, our waiter returned to the table with a to-go bag with my food. Upon seeing the puzzled look on my face, he said “this wasn’t supposed to be to-go, was it?” When I told him no, that I’d been planning to eat at the restaurant with my husband, he apologized and said that he had been told we’d asked for my food to-go. We did not speak to anyone else but the owner of the restaurant, and certainly never said we wanted my food to-go. He was very confused by this and after insisting I didn’t want my dinner to-go, he apologized again and quickly brought the food out again in a bowl this time. The portion was very small for $18 as well and I was very put-off by the price of the food. The flavor was great and thankfully the food was mild. Overall it took almost 45 minutes to have our food brought out after ordering – and 15 minutes of that was after my husband’s plate was taken out. I have no idea how it got conveyed I wanted my food to-go, but between that, the wait time, and the price of the minimal food received, my husband and I decided we wouldn’t be coming back. The waiter was very kind and apologized again, as well as removed my food from the receipt so we didn’t need to pay for it. Once we’d finished eating, the owner of the restaurant came up to us again and asked how our experience was. I was candid and told her honestly that we were displeased and didn’t plan on coming back. At first I don’t think she understood what I’d said because she just smiled and walked away. As we were finishing up our dinner, the owner came by again and asked me why I said we weren’t coming back. I explained our experience, and the reason I gave 3 stars is because of how genuine she was. I work in customer service and I value good service over most everything else. The owner was very sincere with her apology for our experience and was more upset that we didn’t enjoy ourselves than anything else. She brought us a gift card to use for our dinner that night and asked us to please consider them again in the future. I was really touched that she cared as much as she did and it meant a lot that she took the time to speak with us and try to resolve

Boulevard Restaurant & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 6781 Hurontario St, Mississauga

This is probably the worst experience at any shisha restaurant I’ve ever been to. The owner seems to cater to her regular clients above anybody else. One person from our party waited about an hour for a simple wrap, while the regular customers next to us who were seated after us received their wrap within 15 minutes.. Same problem with a shisha, they ordered 2 got them almost instantly, while one of ours was completely forgotten. Just as a note shisha was alll made well. We ordered a manakish and a lamb dish. The manakish took an absurdly long time(between 20-30 min), and the lamb took about another 45 minutes after. The manakish tasted great, lamb was very mediocre for the $25 price tag. When we asked for simple things like menus, or water refills, or sauce it either took 30 minutes or just didn’t come at all. At one point my husband went to stand in front of the kitchen to get our side sauce for the lamb. Finally, one couple with us asked for their bill 3 times. They watched the owner come to serve her regulars 3 seperate times and they asked for the bill each time, on the 4th time she shortly told them “can you just go inside and pay” because she was clearly too busy with her more important table. You only gain regular costumers by providing good service, we were a table of 6 that could have become regulars but after today absolutely will not. Unfortunately this is likely our first and last visit here. Summary: if you’re patient for slow and unprofessional service and want shisha and some fairly good snacks this might be your place, but I’d avoid any main dishes and coming on a weekend in the summer (fri-saturday)
