I have been a customer of Supons for many years (as far back as when they were on Dupont under different ownership) and Iâ??ve always really enjoyed their food. Tonight I called in 2 orders of curry, one with tofu, the other with chicken. When I got in my car, I checked to make sure they got it correct. One lid said tofu, the other said chx. I called it good and went home, only to find that all of the chicken and all of the tofu were in one curry, and the other was just curry with no protein. Not the end of the world, but I donâ??t eat meat so I couldnâ??t just pick the tofu out of the chicken curry. I called and spoke to the same person I ordered from and told him what happened. He apologized, took down my name and phone number, and assured me theyâ??d make things right on my next visit. 30 mins later the woman who apparently made the food called me and told me that it would be impossible for the chicken and tofu to be in the same container. I told her it wasnâ??t impossible, because it 100% just happened. She continued to argue with me to the point that I had to tell her I wonâ??t be returning and I hung up. I would have returned even if they werenâ??t going to give me a free meal or a discount, but to call me and tell me Iâ??m lying is just ridiculous.

Mayflower Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 414 S Military Ave, Green Bay

We ordered a quart of chicken and vegetables and a pint of beef with curry sauce and an extra order of rice. The chicken and vegetables had a red sauce that wasnâ??t too bad but was different than what we thought. The quart container was all chicken and vegetables, the rice was in a separate container.. . However, the pint of curry beef had the rice filling most of the pint container so there was not much beef or vegetables. It did have curry that was difficult to taste but most of the flavor or heat came from red pepper flakes. Way too many pepper flakes!. .

Japanese cuisine Masa’s YATAI – Menu with Prices – 2700-2798 Friendly St, Eugene

For anyone reading this the location is near 28th and Friendly (at least as of the date on this post). There aren’t many places to find Japanese Curry in Eugene, so when I happened to drive by this little gem of a food cart I had to stop and check it out. Masa’s is situated amongst a handful of food carts, but the aromas coming from the trailer drew me in. Kamitori was working the cart and was as friendly as can be. The #1 on their menu is the Japanese Curry, and for an extra $3.50 you can add fried chicken. It’s worth noting that I went around 7pm and 4 of the 11 menu items were sold out. After waiting a few minutes my meal was ready. The beef curry broth was fantastic, and the rice complimented it perfectly. I only had four small pieces of fried chicken on my plate, and I wasn’t a fan. If you’re ordering the curry I would skip on the chicken. There’s also a ‘salad’ on the plate, which was really just a few unnecessary pieces of lettuce. I’ll definitely visit again if I need a curry fix, also really want to try the teriyaki salmon.

Hong Thai Express – Menu with Prices – 4155 Rickey St SE #134, Salem

I’ve been looking for a decent massaman curry in Oregon for years. This place makes a great one, by far the best in Salem. The second I had the food placed in front of me I knew it would be a winner, just based on the rich orange/brown color and aroma. I had mine with tofu (I don’t bother ordering meat until a restaurant has shown they can cook) and the tofu was excellent as well – so good I’ll probably order it with tofu again. I went medium heat awas perfectly spicy for a medium. I will try the Panang curry next but I’m probably going to order the massaman curry 3-4 more times just to make sure they know there is demand for it. Honestly, I’m almost in shock to see excellent Thai curry in Salem after trying so many mediocre places. Now we just need an Indian restaurant that is this good. Update: I’ve been back three or four times. Extremely tasty every time. We’ve ordered the Pad See Ew, the Orange Chicken, and the Chow Mein. All of these dishes were excellent. My kids in particular loved the orange chicken and the Chow Mein. My one nit pick is the heat level on the Massaman curry is a little inconsistent. I’ve gotten medium every time but it has been less than medium to quite spicy. I have a wide tolerance for heat so it’s fine but it’s something they could work on. Update 2: orange chicken wasn’t good the second time we ordered it. Everything else was still yum Update 3: A few months have gone by and I’m sitting here eating my massaman curry with tofu (plus asparagus added) and maybe I’m just in the mood for it but I can honestly say this is the best meal I’ve had in years. The flavor and texture of everything in this dish is spot on. I would give the dish I’m eating right now six stars if I could.

Volcanic Sushi + Sake Hunter’s Crossing – Menu with Prices – 5200 NW 43rd St Suite # 509, Gainesville

It was that time of the week again, time for a meeting of the minds of the crew at a local restaurant where we could talk about the things that had happened earlier in the… wait… what do you mean no one is going to be able to make it because they are playing some sort of game?! Well, the heck with that lot! I am still going to go out for dinner, and since none of them are going to be there with their avoidance of certain food items, I can go wherever I want! So I went to Volcanic Sushi, because I know I will be taken care of there! Got there and requested to be sat outside as it was a pleasant evening. One large table had been setup for service, apparently for a large group that had called in, but for the hour that I was there they never showed up. No problem for me, I was happy at my little table. I ordered some satay and their red curry, which were both excellent. The red curry did seem to be a bit reduced in volume from times I have had it before, but no matter… it was still filling. Always an enjoyable meal here!

CoreLife Eatery – Menu with Prices – 2600 Elmwood Ave, Rochester

I came so close to writing a good review for this place… I have gone to CoreLife quite a bit, but I have not been having good experiences at the other locations lately, so I started going out of my way to try this one. I’ve been here two times, and it was so far so good. I am vegetarian, so I like the Chicken Cobb bowl with tofu rather than chicken and no bacon. They let me swap the chicken for tofu with no charge, and even let me sub cheese for the bacon yesterday. When I was here last night, I watched her make my bowl, saw her get the tofu, and then the next girl mixed it all up in the metal bowl with the dressing, and put it back in the plastic bowl. There was a person in front of me, so I had to wait a couple minutes to get to the register, which is fine. A guy then asked me if I wanted bread and a fork, and I said yes, and he put it in the bag. I got to the register, another guy rang me out, and there were no surprise charges, so total was correct for $10.75. Great. I drive home and get the bowl out of the bag, and there’s CHICKEN on top of it!!!! To say I was angry is an understatement. You cannot put meat on a bowl with tofu!!! I was completely disgusted, and had an $11 salad that I now couldn’t eat. I was not driving back there, so there was not much I could do. My husband is not vegetarian, so I at least could give the chicken to him so it was not completely wasted. I scraped the chicken and the top layer off the salad, trying to salvage some portion of it that I could possibly eat,. My husband would eat the chicken , but he was not even almost interested in eating a bowl of kale. As I dug through it, there really was tofu in it. I am so confused at how this happened because I watched them make it. I thought the person must have scooped in chicken rather than tofu, and I couldn’t tell at the time, but there really was tofu in it. It’s like they mixed it with the dressing with the tofu, and then at the end, someone threw chicken on the top of it. There is a point toward the end of the line where I couldn’t see the bowl, so that must be where it happened. However, I saw the girl at the beginning of the line write “tofu” on the slip that they fill out, so I don’t understand why anyone would do that. And no one walked away with it, so there must be chicken at the end of the line?? I honestly don’t understand how it happened, but it definitely did, and it definitely ruined my dinner. I’m not sure why I have given it so many chances already, but I am totally done with this place now. There are other places around here that I get tofu bowls from all the time, and they haven’t once messed up my order, and they’re cheaper! If you do end up going here, be sure you inspect your food before you pay. Like take it out of the bag, open it up, and make sure they didn’t mess it up. And also ask for your total before you hand the card to the cashier. They randomly charge for things without giving any notice.

Teriyaki 101 Menu with Prices 1805 Epps Bridge Pkwy #103, Athens

This used to be my favorite wing spot in Athens. Itâ??s apparent that theyâ??re under new management. The food was okay, but it wasnâ??t very hot by the time they finally called my order. It sat up on the back counter for ~5 minutes. The lady who rang us up couldnâ??t understand what we ordered and we had to repeat ourselves several times. It was somewhat busy when we got there and frankly there should have been another person up front to make it go more smoothly. She also didnâ??t want to give me my extra sauce, even though I ordered & paid for it. Iâ??ll try it again in a couple of months and hopefully it will have improved.

Uptown Pizza & Barbecue Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1031 W Wilson Ave, Chicago

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! The biggest issue!!!!! My entire credit card number and expiration date was on the guest check that was delivered to me by the delivery driver. Who knows he might buying stuff on eBay. Don’t order from here if you worried about identity theft. I wanted to order to Italian beef meals including fries but they told me for delivery fries could not be included with them a meal and I would have to get an order of fries separate. That makes no sense. Therefore I ordered one Italian beef with provolone and 1 Italian beef with Mozzarella cheese; both dipped with jardinero peppers. And a order of fries which were $2.75. Upon arrival I received 1 Italian beef with cheese, one without and neither dipped. I called the restaurant and they told me that mozzarella and provolone are the same cheese. My response maybe you should not be serving cheese. In addition to the fact that they put apparently both cheeses on one sandwich. The separate fries that I apparently had to order was in the container that one of the Italian beefs were in but apparently they were called a large order of fries.

Bowlero Via Linda – Menu with Prices – 9027 E Vía Linda, Scottsdale

Just to be clear, I have nothing against the place and the other staff, except the cashier, ALEX. My family went there today so my son can practice bowling for his birthday which we book in the same center. Alex is just odd. He speaks as if heâ??s only talking to himself in a place filled with loud music. I had to stretch my neck so my ears can catch what heâ??s saying. It was our first time in the said center so we dont know how we get charged. When we got our shoes, he already swiped the card so I thought theyâ??ll just charge it upon check out. When we check out we got to the counter and I asked him, â??Are we good?â? He then spoke something impossible to hear and moved his hand as if saying â??goâ? so we left the line. I asked my husband, â??Is that it? are we just gonna be charged?â? Feeling something was wrong, we went back to the counter with another customer in front. I waved at him and asked â??Are we gonna get a receipt?â? He just told me, â??I have a line and another customerâ? in a loud (thank God!) voice. I told him yeah but we were here before them and Iâ??m not sure if weâ??re done. He then told me, again in a loud voice â??Yeah, but you left!â? Thatâ??s when my inner alarm came off. This guy is just impossible! I wonder why heâ??s there in front of customers when he clearly has no customer service skills. When we left the line thinking we were already charged and was not, he could have called us back to let us know that weâ??re not yet. And when we came back to ask him again, he just brushed us off and tell us he has a line and another customer. He kept speaking to himself at this time it was again impossible to hear. I asked him what he was saying. He just told me, â??If you want to speak to my manager, you can.â? I told him with a loud voice to just get it done and over with. With a simple transaction as checking out, Alex can send a customerâ??s blood pressure soaring high. This Alex shouldnâ??t be in front of customers, coz he clearly has no customer service skills. I just hope my sonâ??s birthday wonâ??t have the same experience.

Crisp Greens – Menu with Prices – 4312 6th Ave, Tacoma

Just got back for eating lunch here, so excited to try a new healthy place! first off the ability to make your own bowl was not happening and I was told that until the health inspector came they would not have that part available?? makes me wonder why the health inspector needed to come! So my friend and I ordered the regular salads on board. I had the tofu Thai salad and my friend had the chicken salad. My salad was very disappointing, a few cold tofu cubes on top of greens, It was suppose to have lentils on it, however I noticed that they were not in salad I asked about it and they just said oh yeah we cannot find black lentils they are very hard to come by! well first off I should have been told upon ordering that they did not have that and offered a replacement even rice or something. So I paid 10$ for a plastic container of greens and a few cubes of tofu. My friend did not eat all of her salad and just said it was not that good. Not thinking this place was worth it, not sure I will give it a second chance! oh yeah also I do not like eating out of plastic boxes!!!

International Fare – Menu with Prices – 9013 112 St NW, Edmonton

I came to International Fare (Thai food) in Hub Mall last week while on a training course for work. I was impressed at the variety and selection. They offer lunch combos starting at about $8. I opted for a Medium size including 2 choices over rice or noodles. The green chicken curry was EXCELLENT. The massamun curry had too many potatoes that had broken down and just felt super thick/pasty – so I wouldn’t order that one again. You can upcharge to coconut rice for an extra $1 as well. Two of my coworkers also had a meal here and enjoyed their food. There was a hair in one of the boxes of food but it’s hard to say when/how it happened. Maybe even while we were eating? Regardless, I’d come back here I a heartbeat for the green curry chicken! Curry on!

Chicken Salad Chick Menu with Prices 196 Alps Rd Ste 41A, Athens

Iâ??m so fed up with Chicken Salad Chick in Athens- the last FOUR times iâ??ve been here theyâ??ve completely messed up my order, and usually theyâ??re to-go orders so I donâ??t normally figure this out until iâ??m already home on the other side of town. Each time itâ??s been a very simple order, and each time theyâ??ll either forget something or give me the completely wrong thing. And this past time they didnâ??t give me the right sandwich AND forgot one of my sides. Honestly used to love this place but wouldnâ??t recommend it if you want half decent service.

Cafe Single Fin – Menu with Prices – 380 N 9th Ave, Pensacola

My husband and I visited on 5/27/19 Memorial Day) around 11:15ish am. This was our 1st time visiting as I had found them through my continuous search for more vegan options here in the Pensacola area. I initially chose them to try because they were listed as a merchant for the Impossible Burger. Once we got there I was told they didn’t have the Impossible Burger but that they had the beyond burger which is the same one I buy out of the store so I went on to my second option the Islander Tacos made with Seitan which they were out. I was a little disappointed at this point but decided to go with the tofu scramble and my husband had the black bean quesadillas. We absolutely loved our food. Our main complaint is that it took over an hour to get our food. I’m not sure if this is the regular flow of the restaurant or just due to the holiday but we look forward to eating here again in hopes that it will be less of a wait on our next visit. Overall our experience was good and I am happy to have a restaurant with more vegan options to choose from.
