I had the “Rusa.” it’s a 32 oz cup with some freshly cut oranges, cucumber, jicama, pineapple, and maybe apples (hard to tell.) All the fruit was freshly cut and topped with ice and juice (i think it was orange juice.) The cup of the rim was dusted in chile powder. Spicy and yummy!

La michoacana newhall – Menu with Prices – 23762 Newhall Ave, Santa Clarita

I’ve been coming here at least once a week for the past 3 weeks. It all started with Mangonadas. Which is a cup with 2 scoops of your choice of sorbet, topped with chamoy, Chile, fruit, and spicy candies. I love having mine with either mango, pepino con Chile, or limon ice cream. They’re very refreshing, and the perfect amount of spicy, sweet and tart. Then I started getting paletas. I actually went today and bought 12.. if you buy 12, you get 1 free. So far, I have loved the pineapple, coconut (water), Cinnamon Toast Crunch, fruity pebbles, banana (tastes like the liquados my mom or grandma would make when I was little), mango con Chile, nuez, and so many others. I guarantee you will enjoy any flavor you choose. They’re all handmade, and SO DELICIOUS! I have also tried the hot Cheetos with cheese.. and wow. So good! There’s so many other things on their menu I want to try, so I’ll have to update my review later. Lastly, the place is very clean. The employees are all very nice and welcoming. I am excited to see that Canyon Country will be opening a location too!

Frutas Locas – Menu with Prices – 1941 E Main St, Lakeland

I absolutely love this place. It started out as a fresh fruit stand and upgraded to a truck with fresh fruit, smoothies, drinks and other likenesses. They cut the fruit fresh each day and the toppings are authentic Mexican toppings like candy and chili sauce and powder. The mix of fruit and sauces/candies is different than what any non Mexican is used to but they taste so good you’ll be coming back for more. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions are huge. They also now take card. My favorite so far is the mangonada, a mango smoothie with chilly sauce, chilly powder, a spicy candy wrapped around the straw and mango chunks.

JOE & THE JUICE – Menu with Prices – 2000 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Was in Sobe visiting for my sisters wedding and this place was the only thing close to my hotel where i could eat in the AM. Being a mostly raw vegan there isnt much in this area. I came here 3 times. The menu here is boring the smoothies all have milk in them and the juice smoothie combos are not even appetizing. They dont have oranges or orange juice???? In Florida ok…..The inside was dirty, crumbs liquid all on the tables floor banquets at 8am??? We couldn’t even sit, the employees were rude or just seemed like they did not want to be there. Surprisingly it was busy in there. I ordered a juice the first day asked them to customize something they wouldn’t do it. Ok? I ended up with a cucumber apple it was 9.00 and blended with ice so it tastes like water plus the cup isnt even filled to the top because of the foam. The next two days i had the banana raspberry smoothie subbed out almond milk for regular milk -it was watery thin and had so many raspberry seeds and ice chunks i couldn’t even drink it through the straw. And every single thing i got from here tasted like ginger, i like ginger but what if you didnt. I guess they don’t clean the blenders or juicer well. My bf got the acai bowl the first day and they put bruised borderline rotten bananas on top he said it wasn’t good. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Salads & Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 981 Adams Ave, Montgomery

This is the ONLY bona fide juice bar in Montgomery, and it’s fantastic!! I was in Montgomery on business and was disappointed to initially find out that there were only Smoothie establishments around town; no Juice Bars. I wanted a healthy juice, with Kale, Cucumber and other stuff that’s good for the bod, so I didn’t give up. I looked and looked and finally found this place on FB. They were able to make my custom juice at a very affordable price, and with a huge smile to boot. Their salads looked yummy too. Had a 20oz green juice. I felt like Pac-Man after eating a power pellet. Awesome place! Don’t miss it if you’re ever in Montgomery.

Whittier Fruit Farm – Menu with Prices – 219 Whittier Rd, Rochester

I am very particular about my apples, I prefer Snapdragon and Ruby Frost. If you like Honeycrisp apples, you will like these. Not many orchards grow them since they are newer. I was super excited to find out Whittier Fruit Farm had them for picking, I found out on Facebook. They are quite active on there. As you walk up to the barn, there is a play area filled with fisher price playhouses. It is kind of sad and funny at the same time. Imagine the scene in Nemo where all the fishes play on the sponge bed. You grab a bucket which is already lined with a bag and board the tractor. It was quite a bumpy ride. We passed a pumpkin patch and then dropped off to pick apples. Each row is labeled with the type of apple. The tractor comes back around to pick everyone up once they are done. The apples are weighed once you get back. The is where my problem starts. Apparently you should keep track of which apples are which. You will not know how much they cost until you get to the register and the cashier tells you. There are not signs anywhere beforehand. The store has popcorn, donuts, cider, and pre-picked apples for sale. I would come back here because they have my favorite apples.

Shishkabob Express – Menu with Prices – 11210 Lee Hwy, Fairfax

We decided to visit on a Friday for lunch around 12:30pm. The place was fairly empty. I mainly tried the meats, salad, soup and dessert. The minced chicken kebab was the only decent kebab, especially if you go and a new batch comes out, the other chicken kebabs tasted old and/or over cooked, the beef was also good, but a little more tough. It takes them a while to replenish meats, so you have to sit tight and be patient. They had a good yogurt and cucumber dip and lemon to eat the kebabs with. The lentil soup tasted wholesome, packed with lentils, onion and garlic. For dessert they had oranges cut up, a rice pudding make with powdered rice and dusted with cinnamon powder, which wasn’t too sweet, and a really sweet flan. All desserts were ok. Salads looked plentiful. I had the Greek salad, onions were a little soggy and the tabouli which had just parsley and tomatoes, but tasted fresh. I looked at some of the other items but didn’t try them, as I’m on a low carb. diet. Bread at the front, looked old, my husband had the tilapia, but he didn’t enjoy it, said it was too bony, rice looked ok. They also had potatoe and chick pea curry and biryani. Service is nonexistent, you just pay at the end, they don’t even bring water to your table. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this buffet, but if you’re nearby, you could check it out. I also didn’t understand how a Spanish women is running an Afghan restaurant ?

Humbowl Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 7626 E Chapman Ave Ste A, Orange

Healthy bowls, fresh pressed juices, and immunity shots all with a friendly neighborhood vibe. As a pitaya aficionado I was surprised how rich, smooth, and flavorful the pitaya base is here! The chia pudding base is a great layering texture that supports all of the other fresh flavors and it’s almost like eating teeny tiny boba so we loved it. The hemp granola was good. It was a bit too sweet for me but my fiancée loved it because he has a sweet tooth. It had a nice crunch and layered between the pitaya and chia it kept the chia pudding from freezing into clumps which was smart. The bananas, strawberries, and blueberries were all super fresh and bursting with flavor. The coconut was delicious as were the hemp hearts. Probably my favorite part was the almond butter and local honey drizzle. The almond butter was soooooo buttery and paired excellently with the bananas! The local honey was such a treat and just the right amount of sweet. The dash of cinnamon on top was the perfect way to accent the fresh fruit and tie it all together. My fiancée got the açaí base which to me almost tasted like cocoa along with the hemp granola and chia base. He also got bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, shredded coconut, flax seeds, cocoa nibs, local honey, and espresso powder. My bowl was more like a breakfast and my fiancée’s bowl was more like a dessert so we were both stoked! Lol We also tasted a few of the fresh cold pressed juices and I ended up deciding on the Heavy Green cold pressed juice because I love that earthy taste from the kale, celery and spinach, and the cucumber, pear, and lemon round out the greens nicely to balance the earthiness with some light, refreshing notes and a bit of subtle sweetness. My fiancée got the Orange Sunset cold pressed juice which has carrot, orange, apple, pineapple, and ginger. Nick told us Orange Sunset is one of their most popular juices and we can totally see why because it’s delicious! We also got the immunity shots which were super spicy from the ginger. We love that the juices and shots are in glass bottles and not plastic. Nick and everyone else at Humbowl Juice Bar was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend Humbowl to our friends and family. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Starry Moon Menu with Prices 8001 Wyoming Blvd NE Suite B-7, Albuquerque

Our first time here and it was a very pleasant experience! Best way to describe is if your grandma opened up a boba tea shop, and put nothing but love into her drinks, this is the place to be! This store is locally owned by husband and wife, and she was very nice! Right when we walked in we were welcomed, and given a nice tour of their menu. If you have any questions then don’t be shy to ask! The owner is very friendly and knowledgable. We had ordered the “house milk tea with boba” and the “fresh fruit cup” under the “fruit tea” section. Both drinks were delicious and you can taste that they brew their teas fresh, and you ain’t going to expect no powder based wannabe drinks. I also added “mango cubes” to my fruit cup drink. Side note: the add on’s are not on the main menu or paper menu, but located on a little wooden board near the cash register where you order. They are also an additional 50 cents per topping. I might reconsider getting the mango cubes with the fruit cup next time, because the fruit cup drink has a lot of fresh fruits in the drink (depending on what they have). Today the drink had kiwis, oranges, and dragon fruit, and the base of the drink was a passion fruit tea. It was difficult to catch the mango cubes because it would just float to the top, and the other fruits would just get stuck at the end of the straw! Overall, a great experience! We loved the interior, it was very open and airy. The decorations had personality and you could tell the owners put their own twist in it. We will be back.

FIX & REPEAT Menu with Prices 555 NW Arizona Ave suite 50, Bend

I had meant to go to another vegan place but somehow ended up going here. Glad I did! I had the BEST orange juice ever. It tasted so refreshing, sweet and just as an orange juice should taste. I also loved and enjoyed their quinoa with coconut milk and cinnamon and bananas and blueberries. The best tasting quinoa dish ever. I actually came back a few hours later to get one of the green juices and it too was wonderfully, delightfully delicious and refreshing. It has just the right amount of spicy kick to it, subtle but still there. I felt so comfortable there, the ambience of the café is uplifting, it is bright and airy, modern and so chill. The staff are very friendly and eager to help you. I would go there everyday just to taste all the items on the menu! The best vegan/juice café I have been to. The long travel to Bend just for the fresh organic taste is worth it.

Bobalicious – Menu with Prices – 4345 Old Hwy 77 SUITE D 750, Brownsville

I am glad to see a cute, clean bubble tea shop in Brownsville that serves both drinks and food! On this, our first trip, we only tried the drinks – green tea for me and strawberry pineapple with strawberry popping boba for E. I was happy that the drinks were made with real tea, had different varieties of boba, and the sugar level was adjustable. I prefer drinks made with real fruit instead of just powder. This place was kind of a compromise because they used jarred fruit jelly in their drinks along with a bit of powder. This was better than the other place in Brownsville that uses powder exclusively. We both liked our drinks enough to come again and are really curious to try their food. I will update my review after I try their Bahn Mi!

Festival Snacks – Menu with Prices – 7025 N Mesa St, El Paso

Ka-Fair coffee and cakery – Menu with Prices – 1806 Chislett St, Pittsburgh

This place finally opened up on Wednesday and my boyfriend and I have been so excited to try it! We’ve been continually checking their Instagram (@kafair_cafe) to see what new amazing menu items have popped up…. and wow. We had high expectations and these two ladies exceeded them all. I started off with one of their cold-pressed juices, the aptly titled Green Wake-Up. It had celery, green apples, lime and a splash of honey. They brought it over to us in a glass bottle with an ice-filled glass cup on a cute little tray (see photos!) Honestly, I didn’t even feel like I was drinking something healthy–it was THAT yummy. We’ve done our rounds at all the juice bar type Pittsburgh places and this drink was just as good, if not better, than others we’ve had. Moving on to what my boyfriend ordered, the orange freshpresso! It wasn’t on the menu but we’d seen it, and salivated over it, on their Instagram account. They were super sweet and laughed that they’d forgotten to put it on the menu. The orange juice was squeezed fresh just for him and poured into an ice-filled glass (again, see photos!) On the same tray, a cup of espresso was placed and they explained that you pour it in and mix it around. No added sugar or milk, etc. It was… to die for. Simple but unique, it was the perfect drink for a hot summer morning. The caffeine gave a nice kick and the fresh orange juice was refreshing. Definitely something we’ll try to recreate at home when we can’t make it here. TRY THIS IF NOTHING ELSE!! We were both unsure of how the two would pair together but they definitely know what they’re doing here. The espresso by itself was also well-done according to my Italian boyfriend. The last thing we ordered was a piece of the crepe cake. All I really need to say here is that I’ve been talking about it for the last hour and half since we gobbled it all up. Not too sweet that you feel bad after eating it, but sweet enough that it satisfies a sweet tooth. This is one of those desserts that you can easily eat on a full stomach–it’s light and airy! It’s well worth the order and I know I’ll be craving this specific cake soon!! The women working are very sweet and you can tell they’re having a blast. Working hard and serving up amazing menu items–definitely give this a try even if it takes a little drive. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!
