Oh boy guys, this food cart is fantastic! Charlie (Brown) is such a sweetheart. She made a “kitchen sink” style Breakfast Burrito for my best buddy and I this morning. Sooo good, fresh veggies, sausage, bacon, really yummy yellow peppers in there, so fresh. Sides were griddled brown, probably on a panini press. This burrito was AWESOME!!! Oh and she gives you a free cookie of the day! Today was Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and the cookie was very good, you can tell it was home baked. The cart is a little off the beaten path, but it’s just adorable. Baby blue with nice seating options and shade. Also, she’s right next to a YUMMY coffee cart, had a DELICIOUS coffee smoothie there. So good, I’ll be back, often and a lot.

The Girls Who Bake Next Door – Menu with Prices – 210 Iolani Ave #1, Honolulu

I know The Girls Who Bake Next Door have a food truck–and you can follow their schedule on Instagram–but I actually went to their store front. I was craving chocolate chip cookies, and since I passed by the store once before and knew where the Girls were, I dropped by one Friday morning. I didn’t check Instagram beforehand, so I was fortunate during my visit that they had their traditional chocolate chip cookies. If you’re looking for a specific flavor, be sure to check IG: they have a list of their flavors for the day. Anyway, since I was the only customer there, I could sort of take my time ordering. I didn’t want to take too long, though, because the team was busy preparing for a special order/event and it looked like they were busy. The entire store smelled so good! I bought four cookies (and ate them all the same day), but being in the store made me want to buy everything I saw! The cookie deal was a good one, though – four cookies for $5. Definitely would return and recommend them to others. I also would visit their food truck if they were close to me one day. Here’s what I got: “Chocolate Chip”: There’s nothing better than a warm, comforting chewy cookie that’s loaded with chocolate chips. I love how this cookie was thin and small, but it wasn’t crispy and overly crunchy. It also contained a good amount of chocolate chips. “Chocolate Chip Mac Nut”: Surprisingly, this ended up being my favorite of all the cookies I got … and it was surprising because I usually don’t go for the cookies with nuts. I tend to be simple when it comes to cookies. But I loved the texture and flavor this cookie brought. The mac nuts balanced the sweeter chocolate chips perfectly. The mac nuts also added some welcome crunch and texture without being overwhelming. “Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip”: This was the only cookie that made it home for my family to try, but they liked the different flavors. The oatmeal cookie texture made this cookie a little grittier, and it didn’t taste as sweet as the others because it had coconut as well as chocolate. “Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chip”: I was interested to see how the blend between peanut butter and chocolate would work out. The peanut butter flavor wasn’t as intense/strong as I had hoped, but this cookie was still delicious. It was still nice to get a hint of peanut butter in there. “Peanut Butter Toffee”: This cookie wasn’t available during my particular visit, but I do want to try it one day because I love toffee. It’ll be interesting to see how it melds with the peanut butter, but I cannot wait to try it.

The Baked Bear La Cantera – Menu with Prices – 15900 La Cantera Pkwy Suite 26140, San Antonio

Perfect sweet treat! If you’re at La Cantera and you’re looking for something sweet definitely stop by The Baked Bear! They have so many options to choose from and you can sample the different cookies and ice creams!!! It can be a hard choice cuz there are so many options but, I’m always a fan of a good ol chocolate chip cookie and theirs is sooo good so I got a chocolate chip cookie and also the gooey butter cake because I love butter cake! And did you know you can do split scoops? How cool is that?!!! So I sampled a few ice creams that caught my eye but I decided on Dark Chocolate and Toasted S’mores, yum! I personally didn’t need to do a topping because that can get too messy and I prefer to eat mine like an ice cream sandwich, but I did get it pressed! Sooo good!!! Oh and we also got a Bear Bowl, and that’s really yummy! It’s a warm cookie in a bowl topped with your choice of ice cream and toppings. My hubby got that w vanilla and topped with almonds, simple but yummy! Like I said before their chocolate chip cookie is really yummy! In addition to the yummy goodies, the staff is super friendly and their assistant manager Elijah was awesome! Thanks for amazing customer service! Y’all are doing a great job!!!

Midnight Bakery – Menu with Prices – 11th St S, St. Petersburg

This is awesome! Delicious dessert, baked fresh when you order and delivered hot to your door??!! At 2am?? I had Classic, which is a sort of chocolate chip cake-like cookie, with chocolate drizzled on top. And Honey Badger, a butterscotch and honey flavored cookie-cake. Servings were generous, I ate some still warm, melty and fresh and had a couple leftover to eat for breakfast! I love new, small businesses because they add personal touches and really care about the products they create. Fantastic! Keep up the good baking! I can’t wait to try one of the specialty items! How the heck are they keeping ice cream cold and fresh-baked stuff fresh on the Peanut Butter Fudge Soufflé- when it’s delivered??? I will just have to find out!! ?

Mitch’s Cookies – Dessert Bar & Soda Fountain – Menu with Prices – 4844 Davis Blvd, Naples

Awesome ice cream soda fountain shop. Cookies are amazing, had the cookie sundae with a chocolate chip cookie, real hot fudge, sprinkles, royal scoop cookie dough ice cream and a cherry. The cookie was heated and the sundae was amazing. We got some other cookies to take hone, peanut butter chocolate chip and chocolate chip with fudge inside. My wife had a black cow with rootbeer and vanilla ice cream, amazing. My son had a vanilla milk shake, loved it. The owner is so nice. Seating outside and high tops inside. Nice old cash register. Great atmosphere. Wonderful location near publix in kings lake shopping plaza. Fantastic.

Sweet Bacon Therapy Menu with Prices 113 Everett Rd, Albany

It a good thing I’m already attending therapy (physical), otherwise the baked goods from Sweet Bacon Therapy might send me there. Between appointments I stopped by SBT to check them out after Suzanne H. clued me in. There were five different items available in five baskets on a table next to the counter where sales for the other business occupying this address, The Healing Meals, take place. I bought one of each item available. Generally, the cost is $3 for each baked good. The Donut Holes are listed at $5, but I was only charged $3. Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie – approximately 4 inches in diameter and ¾ inches thick, this is a very heavy cookie with a good amount of chips. The bottom was extremely brown (not yet burned) and crispy but the center was under baked. You can see bits of bacon in the cookie, but it was the 2nd least favorite of my wife who said she got more of a bacon grease flavor than actual bacon. I didn’t identify with any grease flavor but didn’t think the bacon flavor was that obvious. Bacon Smores Chocolate Chip Cookie – same size as the other cookie and a little less sweet than the other, and similarly very brown on the bottom, but fully baked through. Minimal bacon flavor once again for my taste. Bacon Chocolate Chip Brownie – my wife’s least favorite as she still could not identify much bacon flavor except when she actually bit into a small piece of bacon. I agree that I was still looking for more bacon flavor and would have liked a less cakey texture and a more chewy and moist experience. Just my preference. Bacon Chocolate Chip Donut Muffin – smart that they add “muffin” to the label because the texture was not what I expect from even a cake doughnut. I’m still looking for that real nice bacon flavor that seemed so fleeting even as this was the very first of all their baked goods I tasted. Bacon Chocolate Chip Donut Holes – I saved this one for last to comment on because it was actually my favorite. It had a good doughnut texture, the right amount of sweetness, a nice glaze on the outside, and believe it or not, finally, just enough bacon flavor to meet my minimal desire. I actually thought they could be addictive enough to require therapy. My wife, on the other hand, sees no need for me to go back to SBT for more baked goods. I seriously can’t say I’ve had better baked bacon goods, so I have to go above 2 stars.

Seven Stars Bakery – Menu with Prices – 820 Hope St, Providence

Whenever I’m in Providence, I stop by at one of the Seven Stars Bakeries, but I really like this one on Hope Street (mostly because I can park in front and run in). They have a killer chocolate chip cookie — not like a super sweet loaded with chocolate cookie that’s a 1,000 calories. These cookies are chewy, soft, not too sweet, about the size of palm, not too much chocolate, and they have an old school bakery flavor that’s hard to describe. It’s the taste that warms me up and makes me feel happy. And, my husband feels the same way. When you see the chocolate chip cookie, it’s not a sexy gooey look, but more of a “here I am, your favorite cookie” kind of thing. Clearly this cookie is underrated because people go for the croissants and bread and lemon cake, but try the chocolate chip cookie and transport yourself back in time.

Kizito Cookies – Menu with Prices – 1398 Bardstown Rd, Louisville

Kizito Cookies has become a Louisville institution. You can find the individually packaged cookies and sweet treats at stores all over town, and you know you’re at a good festival or Bats game if you see founder, the always smiling Elizabeth Kizito, selling cookies from the basket placed on top of her head. And during Bardstown Road Aglow over the weekend, I got to go into the store where all the sweet magic happens. Happy bonus: Elizabeth Kizito was making the cookies herself when I stopped in! This small shop carries an array of African goods, like jewelry, ornaments and more. Love seeing this shop reflect Elizabeth’s different passions. But the cookies! Oh the cookies! The Snickerdoodles had just come out of the oven, so my husband and I had to get one of those to enjoy on our walk back to our house. Other favorites include the chocolate chip, white chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal and black and white cookies. And don’t forget about the peanut butter blondies with chocolate brownies and biscotti. These baked goods are always soft and delicious, not to mention huge. One cookie will likely do ya. And since they’re individually wrapped, they make great gift basket additions. When you need a sweet treat for yourself or others, Kizito Cookies is always a great call.

The Bigg Chill – Menu with Prices – 10850 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles

Found this place through yelp and was so excited to try this place because lately I’m obsessed with cookie dough!! They have so much variety of cookie dough flavors so I had to go! The place is super retro neon which is super cute. The owner is super nice and let us sample different flavors of the frozen yogurt which was not bad I like the classic vanilla and the cookie butter. I ordered a small size cup, you can have two yogurt flavors but I only chose classic vanilla. For toppings you have to pay extra. 2$ for 3 toppings I chose the chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut cookie dough and crushed Oreos. Sadly I was pretty disappointed that they don’t offer samples for the cookie dough, but other places do. My boyfriend ordered the espresso frozen yogurt with sugar cookie dough, mint chips and cheesecake bits. I was very disappointed with the cookie dough! The quality was really bad the cookie dough was not smooth at all and it tasted old and churchy not because of the chocolate chip. The peanut cookie dough was worst the peanuts were really stale. I did not like their cookie dough at all I just ate the frozen yogurt with the crushed Oreos. They should let customers to try the cookie dough before getting it. What made me threw the rest of my ice cream away was when the froyo was starting to melt, I saw a separation of the froyo and watery yellow liquid it was gross. The price was also disappointing as well for 2 smallest container of frozen yogurt with toppings is $14, 7$ each. It is overpriced for the bad quality I’m getting. I don’t think I will be coming bad. 2 stars because the service was pretty good.

Jera’s Heavenly Sweet – Menu with Prices – 550 North Summit Street Place 107, Toledo

Jera’s Oatmeal Choclate Chip cookie is possibly the BEST cookie I’ve ever tasted. They are super thick but also soft and chewy. She also offers vegan and gluten-free options on Wednesdays and personally talked me through ingredients in one of her cookies to make sure it was safe for my diet limitations. Her shop is a little off the beaten path (basement of One Seagate), but seeking her out there or one of her community festival appearances is worth it! I work in the building and my co-workers and I are there almost daily for a Jera’s fix

Sugar Mama’s Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 11208 Lee Hwy, Fairfax

One of the best, ice cream shops that make amazing homemade ice cream!! (: I can tell it’s purely homemade because it’s not too sugary like most store brand ones are. As a sweet tooth lover, it’s not overloaded with sugar that can give me a sugar coma if I eat too much haha! If I don’t have control over myself, I will actually eat the whole pint they sell lol. The flavors I tried so far were: -Cookie Dough -Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip -Espresso Chip I wanted to try Peanut Butter Cup, but they always seem to sell out fast ): All those 3 flavors were DELICIOUS. I love, love, LOVE that it has the baking chocolate chips in its whole form, instead of shredded/chopped up bits of chip. The slight, frozen crunch of chips are just so satisfying~ First off, Black Raspberry was slighty berry fruity, but it was like eating a sweet, berry yogurt (just not sour!). I can definitely taste the creamy milk in the ice cream. Just the right amount of sugar they put in! Not super sweet at all. With the Cookie Dough, I am a BIG fan of the cookie dough pieces in my ice cream. The dough pieces were surprisingly not sweet at all either. It just felt like eating a piece of fresh, homemade cookie, not a sugar cube haha. It was also soft enough to let it melt in your mouth, kind of feeling. The Espresso Chip.. not going to lie, is the best one I have tried. Espresso shouldn’t be too strong or overly sweet (that’s not espresso then….?) when mixed with ice cream. It was on point!! I love coffee. Espresso had the right amount of milk added to it, along with a tiny, slight bit of bitterness to it. Pretty much like coffee with milk with a dash of sugar (: YUM!!! Overall, these ice cream flavors they sell are great for non-sweet lovers, or even older people. I like stocking up from this store rather than buying, sugary and artificially flavored ice creams at the local stores. God knows what other bad stuff they put in those store bought ones…

Orange Octopus – Menu with Prices – 1220 Old Stickney Point Rd, Sarasota

Orange Octopus features 24 flavors of home-made ice cream made on site, along with shakes, sorbet and smoothies. Located at 1220 Old Stickney Point Road, near Captain Curt’s Crab & Oyster Bar, across the street from Crescent Market, it is open daily from 11 to 10 and attracts locals, tourists and beach-goers from nearby Siesta Beach and Crescent Beach and Turtle Beach. There’s room to sit down inside and cool off. Or, as my wife and I often do, take home a couple of dishes with three different flavors. Among the 24 flavors are raspberry sorbet, chocolate peanut butter, sea salt caramel, Dutch chocolate, butterscotch, chocolate chip cookie dough, key lime pie, Kentucky honey bourbon, chocolate hazelnut, butter pecan, cookies and cream and toasted coconut. Whichever you choose, you’ll enjoy it.

Heritage Cafe – Menu with Prices – 614 S Crouse Ave #100, Syracuse

A cold Sunday afternoon in Syracuse. Looking for a good bite to eat before heading out of town. Heritage Cafe was the ticket! Tucked down below street level, this is a gem. Small coffee-type shop with a mix of comfortable lounge chairs, high-top counter seating and tables. Had a half sandwich lunch special. Chicken cutlet with bacon and ranch panini. Perfect amount of food. Perfectly prepared sandwich. Chips and home-baked chocolate chip cookie rounded it out. A nice variety of baked goods and confections too. Left with two “truffles.” In quotes, because these are truffles on steroids! Basically balls of cookie dough (the size of an ice cream scoop) dipped in dark chocolate. Heavenly combination of cookie dough with a hard chocolate shell. So generous that I had to split it with someone else to finish it. Now I have a place to go back to next time I visit Syracuse!
