I love My Chai products. I try to stay away from corn syrup and all the junk that goes into foods these days. It’s nice to know these products are made with great ingredients and taste delicious.

Morning Glory Chai – Menu with Prices – 9716 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle

Stopped by the brewery in Greenwood one day to check it out. First, though you can buy the products there, it is not set up to be a retail space, nor is it a cafe. It’s where they brew, package, and wholesale the products. There is actually just one large vat that does the brewing. I would absolutely love one day, for them to offer a tour/tasting experience with merchandise! Something like Theo Chocolate does. I walked out with a mini jug of spiced chai, a brew at home bag of chai, and two ready to drink LEMON CHAIs. The lemon chai is to die for!!!!! Also, I thought the prices were very reasonable!

Indaba Coffee – Menu with Prices – 419 N Nettleton St, Spokane

My daughter and I came in here Friday to enjoy some donuts at the connecting donut shop (highly recommend). We decided to get a drink from Indaba as well… I’m not a huge coffee drinker and was excited to see they had chai! My daughter and I both ordered the orange, maple chai tea… sounded DELICIOUS and we were both excited to taste it as I am a huge chai fan. Anyways, they used fresh orange zest and real maple syrup (which I was totally stoked about) AND it was so unfortunate we were unable to taste these flavors as the taste of the chai spices were SO OVERWHELMING. The aftertaste was so spicy and strong that we couldn’t get past it (it was similar to that burn you get from eating raw ginger) I thought maybe it was just my drink made that way, so I tasted my daughters as well and hers was just as spicy. I was totally bummed… spent $10 on 2 drinks we couldn’t even drink. Easy down on the chai spice, a little goes a long way..

Angkor Asian Market – Menu with Prices – 4753 N Pershing Ave, Stockton

I was extremely happy to see and know there was a Cambodian grocery supermarket. I’m from Canada and this was no Cambodian store. There no Cambodian supermarkets where I lived. Extremely large, Specialty selections of Imported Cambodian grocery: products and foods selections. Top quality products. I’m very impressed with the imported top quality Cambodian foods and products. From imported fresh foods, Appetizers, snacks, to imported Cambodian Beauty, and household products too. There are also imported Specialty Japanese, Taiwan, and other part of Asia Ethnic Speciality Flavours too. I’m beyond impressed with the stores extremely large selections of Specialty Asian cans, spices, noodles, snacks, and other ethnic foods selections. This is a lot compared to bigger Supermarket Asian chains. I bought a few things. I left and love all my products and foods I bought. The snacks was delicious. The quality, taste and prices are inexpensive too. I had a really good experiences that I had to write a a Review. I will be coming here a lot. Other Benefits: -Free Parking -Accept Payments: Debit/Credit/Cash

De Frantic Monkey Café Bar – Menu with Prices – 799 College St #101, Toronto

I was thirsty after having lunch so decided to explore the area a bit and look for a place that had smoothies. I went on Yelp and I saw that De Frantic Monkey bar was highly rated even though it had 6 reviews. I walked in and was greeted by a very nice lady (I later find out that she is the owner) and asked me if I was looking for the drink menu. I originally wanted a fruity smoothie, but I saw the Golden Monkey Chai and the Indian Chai and being the Chai lover I am, I opted for that instead. I didn’t know what the difference was between the two so I asked the lady and she told me one was just normal black tea chai and the Golden Monkey was Chai Latte with Turmeric. I went with the Golden Monkey Chai as that sounded more interesting and it was a great choice! It was sweetened just the right amount and you could taste all the spices. I wished it was even spicier but will definitely go back for this again!

Anthem Coffee & Tea – Point Ruston – Menu with Prices – 5005 Main St #105, Tacoma

I was very excited to see an anthem coffee open at Point Ruston. I was even happier when I decided to venture out and try their dirty chai with soy. Essentially it’s chai, soy, and espresso shots. It sounds a little crazy, but it’s super delicious! It is actually my new favorite thing at any coffee shop now. I love that they have these creative drinks, and that I found my new favorite, but I have found that the last two times I have gone there, they haven’t been consistent. Last week, we ordered a mocha and a dirty chai and both were extremely milky. It was hard to taste any coffee or chai. I’m not sure if the espresso shots were made poorly or the measurements were wrong, but they just weren’t good. Also, the coffee is rarely very hot. We gave Anthem another try a few days ago. I really do like the flavor of their coffee and just want our drinks to be like they were when we first ordered them. This last time when I ordered, they asked me if I wanted vanilla or spicy chai. I have never been asked this, and didn’t know what to pick, so I picked vanilla, but I think it was the spicy chai that I like. Maybe some people ask for your preference and other people just make it, I’m not sure. However, consistency is really important. I really want to keep going to Anthem and getting my new found drink, but I want it hot, the espresso shots made well, and the same chai used every time. My partner just wants his mocha with well-made shots, milk, a balanced amount of chocolate, and to get it hot. We will give it another try for sure, but I really hope this next time goes better.

The Original Marini’s Empanada House – Menu with Prices – 3522 S Mason Rd #100, Katy

The empanadas I ordered today for take-out were so average I think I’m being generous by giving them 3 stars. Meat empanadas are my favorite of them all (and I’m from Argentina) but the ones I just tried from Marini’s had no meat flavor at all. They strong sauce and condiment eclipsed the rest of the flavors to the point where I couldn’t tell what the other ingredients of the empanada were. The humita empanadas (corn and cheese) were decent, better than the meat ones. I’m highly disappointed. I was happy that I had found foods that taste like home, but these empanadas don’t taste Argentine at all. If anything, they’re so spicy I’d think they were trying to make a Tex-Mex fusion. The bottom line is, if you want real Argentine empanadas, this is not my recommended spot for you. If you still decide to try Marini’s, make sure you visit the Westheimer location, as their products are slightly better.

Matsui Japanese Sushi & Ramen Menu with Prices 6408 Landsdowne Centre Dr, Alexandria

Everything was AMAZING. I visited here with my friends and we had so much fun with delicious foods. 1.Salad: Salad’s sauce was so delicious. And ingredients are unique. I haven’t had sweet strawberry in US, but now I did. And mango was there too! 2.Fried chicken: You should try it. It’s more delicious than I expected. Its outside was crispy and inside was soft. 3.Sushi boat: I don’t need any comment about it. Try it and let your month enjoy. Especially the yellow tail melted in my mouth. It hit the spot 4.Udong: Actually, I am not a big fan of udong. However, I am beginning to acquire a taste for Udong after trying this restaurant’s Udong. The soup was amazingly delicious. I wanna know the secret recipe. 5.Mochi Icecream: I’d recommend macha (green tea) mochi. It’s soft. I love it! Overall, everything was perfect. They were nice and foods were perfect. I’m gonna try donkatsu next time.

Publik Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 975 S W Temple, Salt Lake City

The last time I came here, I had their chai and I remember it being fairly good. This time around I ordered a 16 oz London fog, they rang me up for the 16 oz but gave me a 12 oz. I let the barista know and she quickly said she’ll fix me up the 16 oz. Unfortunately, the tea lacked flavor and consisted of a lot of foam. A classic London fog is supposed to have vanilla (and lavender in some places) syrup. However, there was no syrup in my tea. I would’ve been fine with paying extra for the syrup but I’m not too sure if they charged me for that or not. Nonetheless, no syrup was added and I was left with a very plain tea (they didn’t steep for too long). I know they don’t specialize in tea but I expected something slightly better. Luckily, I was saved by the avocado toast which was good. I don’t recommend this place for studying as the tables are quite small and there are few outlets, especially on the bottom floor.

Outside the Breadbox – Menu with Prices – 2027 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs

So my 5 stars is for their products more than for the facility/location. Their products are in the Co Springs Whole Foods and Natural Grocers. I originally purchased a loaf of the vegan oat bread at Whole Foods and I can say it is probably the best GF bread I’ve ever had. Plus the carbs are low for GF bread- almost making me question the accuracy. I drove to their location specifically because in other reviews it appeared you could sample all of the products. Since I intended to stock up, I wanted to go there. Plus I figured you get a selection of ALL of their items vs the limitation of the stores that carry the products. As you know if you are GF that the items aren’t cheap. I didn’t want to drop money on a $6 loaf of bread and dislike it. So if you are thinking the same thing, be warned, they only sample whatever they’re baking that day. I went on a Thursday and they sampled jalapeño cheddar crackers, choc chip cookies and vegan oat hoagie rolls. So I wasn’t much farther ahead. The crackers were really good- tasted just like a cheez it. Maybe even more depth to the flavor. I got a another vegan oat, since I know I like it. I got brown rice bread, cinnamon raisin bread, garlic oat bagels and choc chip cookies. I haven’t tried the bagel or cinnamon raisin yet but the other items were awesome too! One additional note on their retail location- they have day old for 5% off and 2 day old for 10% off. It’s not a huge discount, but if you’re throwing it in the freezer, it’s worth the savings. Plus you know it sits a few days on the shelves of the other stores anyway ! The date was 4-5 days out. I also think the cost per loaf is less there. Bread was $5.99 and I paid 7.99 at Whole Foods for it. If it’s not out of your way, you’ll get to sample a few things, save a few bucks and know it’s super fresh!!

Daily Brew Coffee House – Menu with Prices – 2955 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside

4 stars mainly because they don’t serve everything on the menu on their hours of operation. When they’re out, they’re out. It can be kind of disappointing because you will never know if they have it if you’re going there. I wanted their breakfast sandwich (out), so I opted for everything bagel with cream cheese. That was good. The hubs got their toast with homemade jam was really good. Thick toast with melted butter and jam… . The kid got vegan banana nut muffin and it tastes better than most vegan muffins I’ve eaten. These are 5 stars. The hubs got PB mocha blended and he said it’s one of the best. As a coffee hater me, I took a sip and I could taste peanut butter. If you’re a PB lover, you’re going to enjoy this (and you have to love coffee too!) I asked for blended spiced chai. Heaven! Yes I’m major a Chai critic. And this chai just added to my book list of chais. You love chai, give this a try. I haven’t tasted it cold or iced- just blended- not sure if it’s going to taste different. Cozy atmosphere too! A little crowded if you bring in stroller.

Almost Famous Popcorn Company – Menu with Prices – 1121 3rd St SE, Cedar Rapids

There are two foods in this world which everyone should love. If you don’t love pizza or you don’t love ice cream, I just don’t know if we could be friends. Unfortunately, besides being amazing, the other thing that those two foods have in common is that it is really easy to mess up something so wonderful. Far too often you go into an ice cream shop only to find that they have either tried way too hard to make really strange flavors or they haven’t tried all and simply have the most generic ice cream there is. Not here. This shop has some of the most incredible flavors I have tasted. The proportions of ingredients are perfect. No one flavor in an ice cream overwhelms the other so that when you take a bite you can taste everything that you are supposed to taste. As far as giving you suggestions as to what to try. Personally, it’s ice cream. It is all amazing. However, if you really want to nail me down with a recommendation I would suggest the “This @&$# Just Got Serious.” Probably my all-time favorite ice cream.

Fatima’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 43 W Boylston St, Worcester

You know why I checked this place out. I love me some ethnic and African foods. We checked this place out after church on Sunday. It’s a small place with a very small lot behind the restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. It’s not a fancy place. They sale beautiful pieces of art that is hung all over the place. The older gentleman who greeted us, welcomed us and made some suggestions as we asked him a few questions. We of course had to get the Kenyan Chai fully loaded with the milk and sugar. We don’t eat dairy really but it was warm and delicious. I am a sucker for chai tea and this was still really good. We followed up with beef and spicy lentil samosas appetizer. The lentils aren’t spicy at all but are delicious. The beef samosas were also delicious. We each decided to try out the East African dinner platter with the chapatti flatbread, the eggplant and cauliflower and spicy lentils and with beef and goat (these are two separate platters see menu and pictures). Everything was delicious, light and not very oily. East Africans really know how to cook their veggies man. Fatima’s is a great place if you want spoil your taste buds, satisfy your hunger and also eat fairly light and healthy. Yes, it’s not impossible to do all of this, Fatima’s Cafe has made this easy. When you come check out this place make sure you leave with a mango lassi in hand. Mango lassis are basically mango milk and yogurt aka creamy rich deliciousness. Update: went back and got the Ugali it was awesome. You are to eat the meat and greens with the corn meal using your hands. Use the cornmeal like your spoon and you swallow it all. Going to try everything on the menu. Awesome service.
