I have a lot to say about this place but not much to show for it but I’ll try to explain the run down of this place. First of all, you have to download an app (called Here Nor There) and link your LinkedIn account in order to make a reservation. Then when the time comes, you will find an inconspicuous black door. On your app you will find a code which you will input into the key pad at the black door in order to open and get in. There are no signs so you will not be able to find it unless you know what it looks like. I actually didn’t know where I was going so I had to call the front desk employee to help me out. Once you get to the front and check in you will receive a small champagne drink to cleanse the pallet and then you will be seated. As you probably can tell from other reviews, they DO NOT allow photographs or any picture-taking of any sort inside. Their menu consists of drinks from around the world. Each drink is paired with a country that stems from the inspirations and experiences of the bartenders from going to each of these countries. In fact, most of the bartenders and workers are from around the world and only a few are from the United States. For my first drink I asked my bartender Nik to make me something he recommends and he made me a whiskey and soda ($16). It’s not on the menu and it sounds like a simple drink but it actually takes 12 hours to make. I tried it and I thought, “That’s a cocktail? Wtf.” That’s because it was a bit sweet and didn’t taste like it had any alcohol at all. It was absolutely phenomenal! For my second drink I ordered the milk and honey ($15) which was also a recommendation by another bartender Terry. It also didn’t taste like it had alcohol either but it contains a blend of five rums, cognac, and other spirits. Terry said it’s actually their booziest cocktail which was really surprising to hear. He said it takes 30 hours to make which is crazy as well. For my third drink I ordered the slainte ($13) which is pronounced “slawn-cha” and means “cheers” in Irish. This is Terry’s favorite drink on the menu. It’s an interesting drink that is hot on the bottom and cold on the top. It basically takes like a hot Bailey’s. For my fourth drink I had to go back to the whiskey and soda because it was just amazing and I had to get another one. I noticed that they shave the ice cubes and then stamp their logo on them for their drinks. Because there’s such a mystique to this bar I wanted to get as much information from the bartenders as possible. These are some of the findings and answers that they (mainly bartender Terry) gave me: – I asked Terry about the app and why visitors have to link their LinkedIn account and he said that it’s so they can collect data about a person before they come in. For example, they found out someone who made a reservation has a birthday coming up and they wanted to surprise him for his birthday. – I asked Terry why they don’t allow photography and he said it’s because they want the bar to grow organically and through word of mouth instead of through online reviews. He also said that they don’t care about reviews online and don’t look at them. – I asked Terry about the process of making the cocktails and how none of them taste like they have alcohol and he said that he believes all drinks should be balanced. They should not be too sweet or sour or boozy, which is exactly how all my drinks were. I couldn’t taste any booze in any of my drinks. Another fun fact about this place: when I spoke to the bartenders Nik and Terry they mentioned that they were going to Nashville to participate in the “Most Imaginative Bartenders” competition (link here: https://punchdrink.com/articles/regional-finalists-most-imaginative-bartender-2019-west-central-east/). At the time I’m writing this, Nik is actually a finalist in the Central region (https://punchdrink.

Odd Birds Bar – Menu with Prices – 33 Charlotte St, St. Augustine

We stopped in last night following a sign that the upstairs was open that night. We decided to give it a try as we were looking for a place to have a drink after arriving in St. Augustine. We’re so glad we stopped by! Bridget was our bartender and she pointed out the Bartenders Call drink. Basically, you tell them what kind of alcohol you like, what you don’t like and they make a drink based on your tastes. I decided to try the Bartenders Call. She made us her version of an old fashioned with chocolate bitters complete with a smoke box. It was so much fun and so tasty. It was very interesting to watch them put the craft cocktails together – they are more then bartenders – they have their drinks to a science! All of their concoctions on the bar to make these amazing drinks and to watch them make the drinks was very entertaining. Mixologists for sure! So much more than bartenders! The atmosphere was nice, and a band was setting up for the night so we decided to stay a little longer. We ended up staying all evening – the band was awesome and the drinks were amazing! After Bridget left for the evening, Cesar became our bartender and his drink was amazing as well. We liked our cocktails so much, we decided to try the food. Which was also tasty well! We both ordered Arepas – his was a gyro and mine had shredded beef (can’t remember the name). Both were delicious! We would definitely come back! And recommend to friends as well!

Shaker Mill – Menu with Prices – 418 State St, Santa Barbara

I never leave negative reviews because I’m a chill customer with pretty low standards for customer service. But I’m leaving a one star because the customer service of the bartenders at Shaker Mill is terrible. I went there on a busy Friday afternoon and patiently waited for my turn to order a drink. I kept making eye contact with the bartender serving my side of the bar to signal that I’d like to order, but he kept taking drink orders from everyone else around me, even people who we both knew arrived after me. This wasn’t a big deal – I knew he was busy and I didn’t mind waiting until he was free so I could give him my order. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I sat down at an empty bar seat and signaled that I’d like to order a drink. He continued to ignored me and took several people’s orders around me. I started looking around to see if I could order from a different bartender, when the bartender who had ignored me up until this point came up to me, and with his hands wet from making drinks, he flicked the water from his hands into my face. He made eye contact with me while he did that. Shocked – I asked him if he was serious. He just smiled and walked away – he never asked me what I wanted to drink. Shortly after, another bartender approached me and took my order. Then the bartender who took my order went to his side of the bar and started cleaning cups. I watched him and waited to see if he would make me my drink, but he never did. At this point, I’d been waiting 15 minutes at the bar and still didn’t have a drink and had the baffling experience of that one bartender that intentionally flicked water in my face. I started talking to a girl sitting next to me and asked her how long she had been waiting. The bartender that flicked water in my face approached her and took her drink order, but not mine. The girl ordered two drinks – one for me and one for her. And when the bartender heard that she was ordering her second drink for me, he turned to me and said – I’m already making your drink (which was total news to me!). After about five more minutes of making other people drinks, he finally made me and the girl next to me our drinks and served us, with an ironic “it was a pleasure serving you ladies!” It’s rare that I have such shitty customer service and when I do, I usually shrug it off and them having a rough night. But this bartender was an asshole and he was enjoying being a jerk. I’ve had bad customer service before, but I’ve never been blatantly disrespected like that. TL;DL – the bartenders here are assholes and their customer service sucks.

Vorshayâ??s Cocktail Lounge – Menu with Prices – 417 E Douglas Ave, Wichita

Vorshay’s is a beautiful old building, and many of the old touches are left in the building. The music, the night I went, was Piper Leigh, and she is fantastic!!The drinks were very good, but not so much the bartending staff. They did not pay attention to all of their customers (there were 3 bartenders behind the bar) Although I was greeted when I came in, after that I was ignored for about 5 minutes until I waved down the bartender and ordered my drinks. One of the bartenders was making one drink at a time (and the place was packed!!) He was very nice but needs some training. I was told they serve food but I did not try it as I had just eaten. All i all, not too bad, I just wish the bartenders would pay more attention tl ALL the customers and not just a few, and also be a bit quicker.

Third Rail Tavern – Menu with Prices – 1133 W Madison St # 1, Chicago

I was there on Saturday 11/11 at 4pm with a party that was celebrating an engagement. The bar was not crowded at all and we were a noticeable group, the bartender even looked at her watch to see if it was a rush time. After about 5-10 min of getting settled, some people already had drinks, my husband and I decided to order. The bartender was not behind the counter. After waiting a few minutes, we saw her standing in the doorway near the bar on her cell phone. After another few minutes, she came over to take our order, but took someone else’s first who already had a drink. Then she took our order but proceeded to text on her cell phone. My husband ordered a Long Island and I informed her that I was pregnant and wanted a mocktail, something light and refreshing. She was still texting. And then she said, “we’ll do you want like a soda or juice? That’s about all I have.” ….. I told her I just wanted something without alcohol in it, obviously, but not soda or juice. I’m not a child. An experienced bartender should know this without me clarifying. I asked if she even could make a mixed drink just without the alcohol. She still proceeded to tell me she only has juice. Then she said, “or an Arnie Palmer. You know what an Arnie Palmer is right?” in a very condescending tone. I said “yes.” So then she makes our drinks and places the LONG ISLAND in front of ME. They looked like the same drink, so I tried it and realized it had alcohol in it! Um, IM PREGNANT. She clearly was inexperienced or just has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen, and I have 10 years in retail management. A good bartender does not need the customer to tell them what a mocktail is when they’re pregnant. Nor do they text on their phone in front of customers. Nor do they serve pregnant women a alcoholic drink. Someone from management needs to deal with this and contact me immediately to let me know it’s been resolved.

The Independent Distillery – Menu with Prices – 30 S Arizona Ave, Tucson

Worst experience in a Bar. I have never written a Yelp review before but I had, had such a terrible experience, that it drove me to share and write about a distillery that will purposely intestinally serve you a non acholic drink ,and charge you 10 $ for it. By far the worst drinks in my life. I am a huge fan of gin but when a bartender serves you two drinks in a row with no gin or alcohol in it. He is clearly making fun of you.I had first ordered a Pimm’s cup, without warning he switch the drink completely without putting any mint or lemon and replaced it with strawberry and ginger ale with no gin it. I was frustrated that he had not warned me from the beginning that he did not had all the ingredients for the drink and had completely switch to a coca cola ginger ale strawberry drink with no gin. After being a little frustrated I had asked him to serve me the drink that my friend had order an aviation, for after sipping his drink it was clearly perfectly made I could taste the good gin. When he gave me the new drink I had order, the aviation he had put no gin it and replace it with sugar instead. This was a clear sign of him having no respect toward me. I was kind and polite toward the bartender throughout the night. But I drawl the line when a bartender intentionally serves you twice in a row a non acholic drink. I could tell he knew how to make an aviation for he had perfectly falsely made my friend an aviation. But a bartender that will intentionally serve you a non acholic drink and charge you for it is completely unprofessional and doesn’t deserve to be a working at a distillery.

The Elkhorn Tavern – Menu with Prices – 1200 Manchester St, Lexington

So. In 2018 I found the elkhorn and I found their pimento cheese. So fast forward to 2019 and I went to get the pimento cheese app. And I just asked the bartender for the app and extra crackers. Well to my surprise I no longer could order the pimento cheese app that came with crackers, carrots and celery. So I was l disappointed. The bartender offer to let me buy the 10 dollar sandwich without the bread. Cause yeah that’s what I wanted to do! NOT! And then our drinks sucks. The Lexington lemonade which I’ve had many times before, didnt taste like the others from the past. Maybe I was just bitter, I’m not sure. I dont know. But I do know I was disappointed. The place had one other couple on thursday night at 7. I found it weird. Because it was hard to find parking and goodfellas line was out the door. Maybe time for a change at elkhorn?

La Culichi Fresa – Menu with Prices – 1517 N Baker Ave, Ontario

Honestly this is the worst restaurant experience i have ever experienced. The first thing i asked for was a margarita(which was on the menu). The server came back & said they didnt have alcohol. Then when i asked for pozole (which is on the menu) she said no once again. Then i asked if they had wings (which is on the menu), i was once told no. We were never given silverware until asked for. Then last but not least, i asked for the fettuccine Alfredo pasta. Waited an hour for it, then the server comes out & tells me they dont have Alfredo. Then when i go to pay for my food, waited 15 min for my check, my gaucamole wasnt in my togo bag that i asked for. Which i was charged for. Then had to wait an extra 10 min for them to make the guacamole for me. I will not be coming back.

Rheas Hot Links – Menu with Prices – 201-229 South Oakland Avenue, 204 S Fannin Ave, Tyler

Well today, I went to hot link place for my husband to take to his job. Normally the ladies are great always. But, we have noticed the last 3 visits havnt been that plesant from just (1) employee. But, we will still speak but her attitude us nonchalant. Anyway, today she came to window, didnt speak, and I ordered. Then came back gave me price and I gave her my card. Told her the chip doesn’t work as I handed to her. She looked at me, and still took it. About 5mins later, she comes back and says, my card dont work. Well, 1st of all, it works fine but the reason I told her in advance is for her to do it as credit or without chip usage. Anyway, i told her, I will give her cash. She handed her hand out for my cash, but still had my debit card. I told her to give my card 1st, then I gave her a $50 bill. She took a min and came back with $26 change. I looked at her funny and asked where my receipt she said since I didnt pay with card, I cant get a receipt. I asked how much was it again, she looked at me with a attitude and said, its right. $13 from $50 is $26 and I told her its incorrect and then she shut window on me and started talking to other worker. I bought 14 links, which she gave him the smallest links in there and a strawberry fanta, no ice. Maybe she gaving a bad day. But, lately she has acted this way. Idk way, i haven’t done anything to her and idk her either well. I drove around to front door, went in with food and money. Told the smaller dark lady, who is always sweet and she asked what i bought, told her and still that lady tried to say, 50-13=26, and thats what i gave you. Well, im not dumb, but I know how to count. So instead of arguing, i pulled out my phn to calculator, then she hurried up and said, or yea..I owe you $10. Laid it on counter and walked away. I told my hubby when i took him the food and he tut old me to report it. He said, he was proud of me, cause normally i goes off about my money. But, I have grown alot and tries to be better. She still had a attutude, vut you tried to CHEAT ME, but mad at me. I dont get that. How many people does, she do like this daily that she THINKS, DONT COUNT THEIR MONEY. My husband is bad about not counting his, but I DONT PLAY LIKE THAT. He eats at Rheas at least weekly, and before he had his seizures last yr. He ate 3 times a week faithfully on lunch break of after work. Smh at her.

Kumori Sushi & Teppanyaki – Palms Crossing – Menu with Prices – 3300 W Expy 83 Suite 145, McAllen

I just finished having dinner there, and service is always mediocre, but tonight was by far the worst service of all time! They sat us fairly quickly when we got there. And there was a little rush going on. The restaurant was pretty full. They sat us, and our waiter didn’t come around for at least 20 minutes. When he finally did, he didn’t even introduce himself, just asked, “what do you want to drink?” 10 minutes later, comes out w the waters, drops them off and rushes off. Comes back 15 minutes later. During these 15 minutes, I decide to go ask the “BARTENDER” at the bar if the Cucumber Martini has actual cucumber puree, or if they use a flavored syrup. He doesn’t understand my question, had to ask another server what they make their drink out of. My question was answered, so I go back to my seat to order w my server. Finally, our server comes back, asks what we’d like to order, I ask if they have TOFU at the sushi bar, And of course, He doesn’t know, so he has to go ask someone. Ya’ll dont. – okay, so I just order yakisoba w/ veggies. And rice with veggies. Oh yeah, and I ordered that Cucumber martini w the delicious puree. Food came out at a decent time, But I never got the martini, I never got the rice w veggies. He asks later if everything’s okay.. I tell him what I didn’t get, but to just forget it.At this point. I’m just kinda in disbelief w the forgetfulness of this server. And final, when we get the receipt, we get charged for the rice I never got. I normally dont leave reviews. But this was just WAY TOO MUCH! The server not knowing about certain items, Taking forever bringing drinks, Not bringing certain drinks, Charging us items he never brought. Not bussing the table, Heck, I think the manger was the one taking our dishes back.. The” bartenders” lack of knowledge on items ya’ll serve all day every day, like a freaking cucumber martini. It was very disappointing experience. More than ever before. Definitely not going back.

Sip Cocktails & Martinis – Menu with Prices – 2300 Paseo Verde Pkwy #2672, Henderson

An excellent casino VIP bar with a local feel!! I notice there are not many recent reviews since this placed changed from an old lounge bar called Ovations a few years ago. The bar is excellent with top shelf comps if you bet their minimum. Everything is hand poured and all bartenders at all shifts are excellent. Nixxi is your regular daytime bartender and you can’t go wrong on any day, she even hand stuffs the blue cheese olives! Brandon and Jeremy are the regular night bartenders with Amy, Sandy, Linda, Nicole, Alicia mixed in on break and alternating nights. All are excellent bartenders who take pride in mixology to create whatever martini or other taste you are in the mood for. Come by and say hi and they will remember you and your drink you the next time you stop by.

Six26 – Lounge and Rooftop – Menu with Prices – 128 Christopher Columbus Dr, Jersey City

This bar has a nice welcoming atmosphere but the service is just not there. On the rooftop the bartenders were nice, bit slow. The small bites we ordered took about 40 minutes to come out but she was very apologetic and went back a couple of times to check on it. I understand that there are a lot of working parts to make a restaurant work and it wasn’t her fault so I didnt hold it against her. Then another bartender was tossing around a hand fan and hit my friend in the face but was very apologetic and even gave us a round of shots to make up for it. If this was all that had happened I still would have given it 4 stars. We went down to the basement to cool down and were having a blast until I went to get a drink. The tall white Male bartender with light hair and a long beard in the back bar was violent and nasty. I had waited about 15 minutes to get close enough to the bar to order when I saw a space open up at the end of the bar near the door to get behind the bar. I made my way over there and had to stand in front of the door for maybe 10 seconds while someone was getting around me. The bartender stepped over to the door slammed it in to me several times quickly and said “move bitch” before stepping back into the same spot he was just in. HE DIDNT EVEN NEED TO GO THROUGH THE DOOR HE WAS JUST BEING AN ASS. I actually have a scrape on my hand and bruise on my knee from him hitting me with the edge of the door. When I went to tell my friends some girl overheard and said the same bartender and just been nasty to her and called her a hoe when she tried to get a drink. Slow but apologetic service can be forgiven. You cant always control everything around. However, you can always control your own actions, and physically assaulting a customer is completely unacceptable.

Hide A While Lounge – Menu with Prices – 9469 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

What i need to say about this Bar is that at a random decision was made last night to ask me and my friends to leave . so the weekend before we where hanging out with no problem. So the reason why we where asked to leave is because we are bikers that are in the upper age of 50 and we where told up we couldn’t be in there because we had a vest on . and too top that off i dont drink alcohol and one other member is sober also . we stick too ourselves my friends where there long before i got there and they yes they do drink . they spent there money and they where having a good time .and just so you know . bikers dont look for trubble . 9 times out of 10 its a regular civilian that causes trouble we avoid it . this is a clear sign of discrimination based on how you look . if I walked in there with plain clothes would that change who i am i am a biker and i love my life this is discrimination at its best this is not a kool bar dont get kicked out because your wearing the wrong team color
