SO HAPPY WE STUMBLED UPON THIS PLACE! Do not let the size of this food trailer fool you because while it may be small, the flavors are BIG! I am a tomato soup LOVER and any place that offers tomato soup, I’m sold. To my fortune, this tomato soup is in my top 5 and considering I’m from SoCal where there are literally 395729348192 restaurants that serve tomato soup, I cannot wait to have another cup… well, maybe I’ll get a bowl next time. The soup was tangy and a bit sweet, with generous amounts of diced tomatoes and herbs. The soup was loose, but the mouthfeel was full, creamy, and rich! Thank you Dave for cooking up tasty and heart-warming soup and for your kindness and generosity. See you sooner than later!

The Salad Station – Menu with Prices – 13811 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa

Why 5 stars? Because it’s about as good as it gets with salad. — — — Yes, this can be some expensive salad. No, this is not your grandmother’s salad. My wife and I’s tab ended up at $42, which seems pretty excessive, but I had my salad bowl piled so high that it almost felt illegal. And this bowl was not 2.5 lbs of romaine lettuce – it was actually quite weighed down by the good stuff that I was shoveling in there. Plus, we also both added a soup and soda to our order, so the salad’s themselves were only a portion of the cost. Here’s what I liked about Salad Station when you compare it to a place like Sweet Tomatoes – the cleanliness. Granted, this location only opened about a week before I visited, so you’d hope it would be pretty spotless, but it felt so clean that I wondered how it was even possible. As I’m sure is the case for every person that comes here, I spilled a few things as I was attempting to transfer them into my bowl. I get the vibe that they do their best to discretely go behind every customer and clean as if that person never accidentally spilled 3 cucumbers into the tomato bowl and a couple olives on the ground. My only gripe is that the loaded potato soup was pretty bland. It’s not normally a soup that I’d order, but the description sold me. However, I wish I would have opted for the broccoli and cheese because I wasn’t a fan. The natural watermelon juice was delicious enough to make up for the soup mishap, though. I was going to just get a soda, but that watermelon stuff was too perfect – a hint of sweetness, but not too sweet. And the salad? It wasn’t even really a “salad” after I was done with my excessive additions, but I ate nearly every bite to the bottom of the bowl. If Salad Station were closer to my house, I would definitely be here on a regular basis!

Buok Fresh Korean Kitchen – Menu with Prices – Petwin Tower, 10707 100 Ave NW, Edmonton

We had noticed this little place across from the Matrix the last time we were in Edmonton in December but only managed to visit this time around. My coworkers had eaten there earlier in the week and said they enjoyed it. They related how the friendly owner had let them sample some ginseng soup. We got there at 730pm. They close at 8 but was kind enough to take our order. We shared a Ddeok-bokki. Hank’s sausage. Tasty sausage and perfectly chewy rice cakes. We also got The Bibimbap in a stone bowl. That was tasty on its own and the other toppings, the carrots, cucumber, marinated spinach, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts were delightful. My friend had also asked about the Ginseng soup but they were out of it. What really touched our hearts were the owner’s kindness; they felt bad they were out of the soup, they offered us cookies which they also bake in house for the morning crowd. Their cookies were really delicious- not too sweet but filled up a sweet spot. And they also make breakfast sandwiches- which is off menu. They really like to take care of their clients and just that little bit of kindness would make me want to go back and support them. But mostly, l would go back for the fresh, tasty offerings from their kitchen. Edmonton, you are so lucky to have them!

The Table Bistro Menu with Prices 1075 Baxter St B102, Athens

I was intrigued because the average rating is so high. So I decided to try this place out tonight. It was kind of hard to find. It’s on the side of a building between buildings that looks like an apartment complex. But the interior looks much more like a nice cafe than a restaurant. I got the Crab stuffed Blackened Salmon and I loved it. It is a little spicy, so definitely stay away if you can’t handle a bit of heat. It had a rice pilaf, a rich creamy sauce, and a medley of many vegetables on top that I couldn’t tell you what they were (because they were all piled on top of each other). I think there was plantains on top (slightly sweet) and plaintain chips. Veggies that I recognized was some kind of charred pepper, tomatoes, and microgreens/herbs. I think it was a pretty decent portion size. The salmon and crab were hidden under a lot, but they were obviously the star of the show taste-wise. We also got the special soup and the squash casserole. These were mediocre and I wouldn’t recommend it. The soup was a green-ish color and was sweet. It kind of tasted like butternut squash soup but it didn’t look like it. The squash casserole had an array of veggies, but the squash itself was quite bland and overdone. Not that much flavor so I would say you can skip this. When we came in, it was really quiet and only one other table was there. The decor is cute and the fresh flowers are a nice touch. If you like some heat and seafood, you can’t go wrong with the Crab stuffed blackened salmon.

Aalto Lounge – Menu with Prices – 3356 SE Belmont St, Portland

**HAPPY HOUR REVIEW ONLY** Our third HH stop for Easter Sunday and it doesn’t disappoint. We rushed in by 6:20ish from the door and fortunately the place is not swarming with people that we would’ve expected in Vancouver, BC. Our bartender is Owen and he treated us super nice. We tried all 3 HH drinks: – Slow burn: spicy and sweet from the pineapple and chilli combo. Love it. – Belmont Jewel: sweet with fragrance of blossoms. Easy to sip. Not too sweet and not too dry. – The Dandy: The most refreshing of them all. Tasted a bit lemony – like a spiked lemonade. We also tried 2 of the 3 HH food: – Grilled cheese sandwich: it was filling and it came with a tomato soup! Super tasty for the price! – Hummus & pita that came with cucumber slices: filling and refreshing. Can’t really make a wrong hummus – and they didn’t make it wrong. The pita was brushed with some good/generous amounts of butter so it was tasty eating it stand alone. overall: yes, we will come back for sure for happy hour. Thanks, Owen!

Nuro Noodles ???å??å?³?ç??è??? – Menu with Prices – 160-06 Northern Blvd, Flushing

I decided to give this place a try because it was a new spot with solid reviews and I love Taiwanese beef noodles. It was a rainy night but I still walked over. I had my mind set on trying both, so I ordered both the spicy beef noodle soup and tomato beef noodle soup. The lady was super friendly and nice as others have mentioned. One part of the experience is the service and although I took it to go, I felt very welcomed. A+ for that. I hurried back home and it was the moment of truth. I have tried many beef noodle soups before so I wanted to see how it compared. The first thing I noticed was how deep and rich the soup looked. The color was beautiful. The beef was nice, big chunks and the noodles looked al dente. I tried the soup of the tomato beef noodle and it was exactly as it looked: rich and full of flavor. Combined with the noodles, beef and pieces of bok choy, it was a winning combination. I was very impressed. The soup was on point, the beef was nice and tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. It met and maybe even exceeded expectations. Next, I tried the soup of the spicy beef noodle soup. Again, I was very satisfied. They are both excellent! My experience was great- not only was the owner super nice but the flavor was all on point. As you can see, this is my first review. I’ve tried a lot of places but never felt the need to write a review, but I felt like I had to write this review. Service was great, food was awesome! I’m a little sad that they only have a tiny shop inside a supermarket. I hope they will be able to have their own restaurant some day! Btw, sorry for the quality of the pictures. I also had to eat some before I took it.

Gino’s Pizza Menu with Prices 1374 Copley Rd, Akron

Holy Cow! What an absolute surprise. We recently ordered from Gino’s, and let me tell you, what a pie! We ordered 2 different ones, a half cheese, half pepperoni, and a white, garlic, chicken pizza. First the half pepperoni. Delicious, medium crust, crispy on the bottom, still a bit of chew to the inside. Tangy, rich, tomato-y sauce. Great cheese, cupped, tiny pepperoni rounds that crisped up on the bake. The white pie was aggressively garlicky, but that’s sort of what you expect in a white pizza. The chicken on it was diced up and incorporated in every bite. Coupled with the same great dough and cheese as the pepperoni pizza, this was pretty good. My preference is probably the red sauce pizza, but that’s usually my preference, so try them yourself and see what you like best!

Trade Lobby Bar and Lounge – Menu with Prices – 421 W B St #3501, San Diego

I was in a hurry for a meeting beginning at 1:15 PM nearby and wanted something quick that wasn’t a sandwich. I arrived 12:40 PM. I went directly to the bar, and ordered a Tuna Nicoise Salad – the fastest item I could think to order. By 1:00 I was still waiting desperately even though everyone else’s food was taken to them. People who came after me even cashed out. I finally said to the bartender, I really need to get this to go. I waited another ten minutes and he finally comes out with a box. I was so desperate to leave that I didn’t open it until I was walking away. Inside, there was literally four pieces of arugula, a sprig of unknown herbs, some ratty ahi sloshed in the bottom with watery diced tomatoes, a couple of hard boiled quail eggs, and three pieces of thinly diced purple potato. For this measly, despicable meal, I paid over $30 with tax and tip. I was so angry, yet so rushed, I could not go back to demand an immediate refund. Literally one of the worst meals I have had in recent memory and the fact that I had to wait for it made it 100 times worse. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Sandwiches & More Menu with Prices 1901 Medi Park Dr, Amarillo

Anna Lisa, I need to give you a BIG shout out and Thank you, not only for bringing out breakfast burritos to feed our family while at the hospital during my brother’s surgery, you also went out of your way to come up to the waiting area and not to mention you made special veggie and gluten free ones too! Those were definitely some great tasting burritos. Not only do I speak for myself, but also for the rest of my brothers and sisters and families who were there. We all appreciate your kindness and generosity. Many blessings to you!

La Playa Seafood Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 7446 Alameda Ave, El Paso

El paso are you looking for the most bang for your buck? Then look no further than going to LaPlaya seafood in the lower valley. The staff is very friendly and our waitress recomended the lunch special which has something for everyone. As soon as we’re seated homemade chips and salsa arrived, the red salsa is tasty and the green salsa had some kick but just the right amount of kick.Soup of the day was lentil soup and it was very filling and full of flavor among the lentils are finely chopped celery, onions, tomatoes and garnished with fresh cilantro hot fresh and very comforting. After that my Filet Veracruz arrived and boy they did not skip on anything with a side of rice, salad, and mashed potatoes it was definitely a plateful. The filet was covered oin a rich tomato sauce with carrots and green olives the fish was cooked to perfection. When dessert arrived I was stuffed but managed to eat my peaches. Now this is truly a great deal all this for $6.99 so you get great service , clean tables abd really great staff I will be back and can’t wait to try another dish.

407 Chef BBQ – Menu with Prices – 6405 Old Wintergarden Road, Orlando

From other reviews, this used to be a food truck on Kirkman and Old Winter Garden, but we visited them in the current address, formerly a sub shop on Old Winter Garden between Powers and Hiawassee. We both got generous portions of ribs, and two sides. I got mac and cheese, delicious, and mixed veggies. My partner in crime had the beans, which had an appealing spicy sweet flavor, a hint of clove I think, without being too much. The star of the show, the ribs, were so yummy and fall apart tender. We sampled all three sauces. I like them all and mixed and matched. Sweet and mild, tangy, and rich and spicy. We’ll be back! They were out of plantains or I’d have definitely tried them. Wishlist? Grilled corn on the cob maybe?

The Dolar Shop – Menu with Prices – 36-36 Prince St 1 floor, Flushing

Tldr: good service; beautiful and classy interior, great for dates; individual pots with different soup bases; don’t order too much meat for veggies, portions are pretty decent and keep in mind that the soup base+sauces are already about $8/person Knowing that there is usually a wait, we came in around 9:20 and they still seated us. Overall, i would say it is a great place for a date or a night out–fine dining and good service. If it is your first time here, they explain the menu items for ya. There is a sauce bar with all the condiments and sauces for you to DIY your own sauce. The sauce bar also comes with what is equivalent to the side dishes in korean cuisine+fruits like cantaloupe and oranges. If you like bone soup: I applaud the spare ribs soup base; it tastes very rich in the bone taste. I grew up drinking bone soup so it is really easy for me to differentiate real bone soup and fake ones. You would def want to drink some of that soup. Also when they add broth, it doesn’t really saturate the bone soup taste which means they are not just adding hot water in there. If you like tomatoes a lot: The tomato oxtail soup also tastes very flavorful–you almost don’t need to dip your food in sauces cuz the tomato soup adds flavor to the food that is boiled within. Food: The quality of the meat is pretty decent, but i don’t know about being excellent quality tho. The portions are also pretty reasonable to the price so definitely don’t order too much. A good rule of thumb would be two meat plates or one meat combo plate for party of 2. You can order half for the veggies too. If you don’t want to accidentally overspend, just make sure you remember that with the soup base and sauce bar there is a minimum of around $8/person on your bill already. I also ordered a glass of fresh watermelon juice–refreshing. Loved it. They also give an ice-cream cone for each person as a little dessert which is great.

South Mouth Wings – Menu with Prices – 1650 Broadway ste a, Boulder

Best sweet tea in Colorado! I appreciate y’all being around. I paid this place a visit about 5 years ago and it let me down, and passed them by since. HOWEVER; Recently I gave them another chance after stopping in a few weeks back by chance to find my wife some sweet tea (was on a mission). My mission was a success, they sell it by the gallon. Tonight I ordered bone-in wings Jamaican Jerk dry rub; hot damn! The flavors are amazing, the freshly prepared chicken doesn’t get lost in the many many layers of fresh herbs and spices. The Sweet and tangy sauce is great as well. Thanks for being around.
