Hanara is a bit of a hit or miss for me. The Christian rock playing upstairs makes for an interesting ambiance, and the sushi tends to take a long time to make. I’ve gotten the sushi combo c a few times, and the freshness of the sushi really varies. I had a delicious piece of salmon once on a weekday, but on a subsequent weekend, my tuna had a slight grey tinge to it. Most recently, the cashier got in a loud argument with another customer. I’m not quite sure what happened, but it went on for a solid 10 minutes. My partner and I were extremely uncomfortable. It’s a small space, so sound really carries, and it felt like we were in the middle of the argument. The majority of what we could gather made us feel like the argument was being prolonged by the cashier. Sushi options in Austin are limited, but I likely won’t be back to Hanara after my last experience.

Crow’s Feet: A Mountain Collective Menu with Prices 2843 NW Lolo Dr, Bend

Iâ??m writing this review as I walk out of the store. The Crows Feet has the absolute worst customer service my partner or I have ever experienced. My partner bought his new skis on Evoâ??s website and had them shipped to Crows Feet because they are contracted through Evo and we were in Bend for the weekend visiting family. First, we were never greeted. Then, finally, one of the employees asked what we wanted and we explained we had skis shipped to their store. Immediately the vibe of unwelcome was more than palpable and when we left all the other employee said was â??you know, ours are cheaper.â? Completely unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable to merly stand in their store. As avid skiers and boarders, we will never return!

The Urban Grill – Menu with Prices – 6850 N Shiloh Rd, Garland

My partner and I wanted to try a local food establishment and based on Yelp’s recommendations, we decided to give this place a shot. When we first walked in, there was absolutely no one there. That took us back for a moment but the cashier was extremely nice and welcoming so we decided to order. I ordered the flavored chicken tenders and my partner ordered the California burrito and rice. The food was a disappointment and for $25 I was extremely dissatisfied in not only the food and it’s lack of taste but that we received our food on black plastic plates and had to use plastic silverware. Like…huh? I doubt if I return.

Thai Chili2go – Menu with Prices – 1887 E Williams Field Rd #101, Gilbert

Honestly, up until tonight I have been obsessed with Thai chili. Their pad Thai with beef is one of my favorite meals. I usually order on the app and then pick it up. I got a coupon in the mail this past weekend for buy one get one 50% off and used it as an excuse to order food. On the app it kept saying invalid promo code and so I tried it on my browser, but it wouldn’t work on there either. My sister was supposed to pick it up on her way home from work and so I sent her a picture of the coupon and asked her to show the cashier to see if they could make it work. When she got there, the cashier was super understanding and said he’d grab a manager. However, the manager made her feel extremely uncomfortable and accused her multiple times of trying to use a coupon more than once despite her letting him know we had never used to it and just got it. He insisted she was lying but that he would honor it to be nice. It was extremely rude and unprofessional and put her in a really uncomfortable position and so she ended up leaving with no food. Working in the food industry myself, I can’t imagine a business teaches its employees, especially managers, to treat guests like this and make them feel so unwelcomed.

Fuji Sushi House – Menu with Prices – 4416 Johnston St, Lafayette

Me and my wife absolutely loved this place! I will be honest, when we arrived there, we weren’t too sure about it but take it from me this place is worth every dollar. Me and my wife really enjoy sushi and have had it at most restaurants from Lafayette to Baton Rouge and this place rocks. The owner was extremely nice and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good sushi fix. It was probably some of the most fresh tasting sushi that I have ever had. The menu is huge and includes pages of sushi options and the owner even made it a point to mention to us that they are flexible with the ingredients to each roll so basically your options are limitless! Will absolutely be back again with friends and family. GIVE THEM A TRY! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

New Deal Fish Market – Menu with Prices – 622 Cambridge St, Cambridge

Went here for the first time to get some sushi-grade fish so my wife and I could try making sushi. In the same boat? This is your place. The fish selection is small but good (although I felt the tuna we got wasn’t really a good choice for sushi). It’s slightly larger than your grocery store fish counter, and all of the fish looks great. The store also carries pretty much everything you need for sushi making: rice, nori, sesame, even fresh ingredients like ginger. I was impressed with how much stuff they had for sushi making here, and I expect us to come back soon. The only thing I wish is that they had more traditional sushi fish like eel and other kinds of tuna. On the other hand, they have some fish I’ve never heard of and would love to try. Recommended

The Music Box Village – Menu with Prices – 4557 N Rampart St, New Orleans

Oh man! Thank you to Music Box for letting Austin and I use your space for our wedding. This venue is magical! Our guests had the time of their lives playing music on the structures. It is also just a beautiful space in itself. Austin and I wanted a venue that was not your typical wedding venue and we got it. Thank you to Alita who got this plan going. Alita met with us on multiple occasions to go over what the venue offers and she set me up with the amazing staff to continue coordinating the wedding. Syd, you are above and beyond! Syd came in close to the end of planning but made it seem as if she was there the whole time. She was ultra supportive and really listened to Austin and my vision. She took time to set up a run of show plan and when it all went down, it was PERFECT! Syd is truly a genius at her job and could not have asked for a better coordinator. Thank you to all of the staff that went in to making the wedding happen. So grateful for everyone involved. If you are looking for a wedding venue, Music Box is the place to go. You and your guests will not be disappointed. Most fun we have ever had! We will definitely be back for a show!

Taqueria La Suprema – Menu with Prices – 1591 E Date St #4237, San Bernardino

I changed my review because I have given this place a couple more trie. Now I recommend if you want food to go, to call and place your order over the phone. The wait is still ridiculous if you go in person. I do find that they take a while to make the food but it is authentic Mexican food and it’s nice and hot when you get it. We have tried their caldo de res (it taste just like my mommas) super good, also the Chile relleno and the rice is delicious. Oh and by the way I have not seen the cashier that was rude to me the first time ? the new cashier is very friendly and she is super professional. This is the old review, but I did only order the juice and it was in person… So I was excited to see that this Mexican restaurant sells natural juices. I couldn’t wait to come try them. I haven’t been feeling well and I’ve been craving fresh veggies since i ate way too many tamales for Christmas and eating poorly this month. I came yesterday 01/01/18 and well they were busy so I waited about 25 minutes for my “vampiro” juice (to go). Ok so I get it they were busy, but I came again today, for another vampiro to go, kids are waiting in the car with Dad. I waited over 25 minutes, when the cashier finally gave me my drink. I told her that it wasn’t fair that I waited over 24 minutes and that I was upset. She was a very loud blonde girl, instead of apologizing she said “anyway today it’s the last day we are selling the juices and I’m taking the signs off, have a nice day” (she said it super loud and sarcastically) so I got even louder and said “oh ok so I should never come back again”. I was so mad, she could have just apologized but nope she decided to get loud and ghetto with me. No thank you.

Sushi Sake Bird Road – Menu with Prices – 14629 SW 42nd St, Miami

In attempts to satisfy a serious sushi craving, I found myself at Sushi Sake Bird Road. Upon arrival I almost began regretting my decision, observing a more than full house. To my surprise we were sat immediately inside. This location can forcefully fit a pretty large crowd. It was a little tight and uncomfortable in the double booth/chair tables, but the staff was well adapted to the crammed environment and made it less of an issue. This location has really great service compared to some of the chain’s other locations. We were helped by Damaris, she was very helpful and quick, and the only Sushi Sake server to ever offer me the free cotton candy (What a sweet surprise!!). She even went as far as offering us hand sanitizer before serving the dessert. I have to take away some rating due to how overcrowded the space was. Even with the staff moving smoothly about the restaurant it was extremely loud and the seating was very cramped. We also noted a female staff member serving or running food in a black Bralette. I found it odd because she was the only one wearing the garment so we felt like it was a little off or awkward. Her outfit choice was extremely informal and didn’t really fit the evening or her fellow staff members. We ordered a green salad, spring rolls, a Hollywood Roll, and a dragon roll. The Green Salad- The dressing was super yummy( it’s very tangy with hints of ginger)it was something simple and inexpensive to munch on before the rolls came out Spring Rolls- They were light and crispy and moist on the inside , came with sweet and sour Hollywood- rice, seaweed, spicy tuna Fresh, rich in flavor, great texture Dragon- Asparagus very fresh, shrimp tempura done well

Sushi Express – Menu with Prices – 610 University Ave, Madison

As always, Sushi Express is exactly what it claims to be-affordable sushi that is still delicious! You really can’t beat Sushi Express’ prices at $8.75 for two rolls. Although I’ve tried almost every roll there is to offer under this combo, I’d have to say my favorites are the spicy California, shrimp tempura, sweet potato tempura, and the Alaska roll. Their rolls are consistently good and fresh at a truly unbeatable price (and only $1 with no minimum for delivery!) I wouldn’t go as far to say that their sushi is gourmet or as good as, say, Red, but this place manages to offer bargain sushi that is still solid and won’t give you food poisoning. I’d also recommend the roll-combos as opposed to the specialty rolls, which are slightly less good. Sushi can occasionally arrive at room temperature but that hasn’t been a deal breaker. I’ve never been let down by Sushi Express in all 4 years of being a loyal customer. Would recommend their crab Rangoon as well-seriously the best I’ve ever had!

Sushi Time Towa – Menu with Prices – 54 W Montgomery Cross Rd, Savannah

Not bad! Going to add this to the very short list of decent sushi spots in Savannah. I have been here twice and had tasty sushi both times. The sake is hot, the fish tastes great, and the sushi selection is impressive. I just spent over $50 there and did not feel any regret. The sushi rolls are small, though, so I had to add more maki to my order to feel satisfied. The customer service is iffy. The waitresses are extremely nice, but they seem overwhelmed. The first time I went, I was in a large party of about 30 people in the back room. The restaurant only provided two waitresses and they were forgetting orders and mixing up bills all over the place. This place also seems to bring in the sushi chefs’ friends and families to hang out during dinnertime. This second time around, a group came in that was clearly friends (or relatives) of some of the staff. They allowed their small children to sit at the sushi counter and ding the ‘order-up’ bell repeatedly, non-stop. After about 10 minutes of this, the kids got to clicking their chopsticks against the wooden surface of the sushi bar for quite some time. The sushi chefs were distracted, the waitresses were trying to make their way to other customers as children ran around, and it just sort of turned into a noisy daycare center. Besides all that, I was quite happy with the sushi.

Cali Home Grill – Menu with Prices – 410 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton

Most unprofessional and rude exhibit of customer service I have ever seen. Came in to simply order a drink and a side of fries…as I was waiting for my order, a soft spoken girl next to me accidentally spilled the tea she had just ordered all over the floor. When no employee made any type of effort to resolve the issue, I took it upon myself to help clean up the mess. One of the women in the front told the girl that they would make her a new drink. The girl just stood waiting there for a solid five minutes before another employee just gave her a blank stare and rudely asked the girl what she was doing. When the girl explained the story, the employee basically told her “too bad, so sad- we gave you what you ordered, you dropped it, there’s nothing we can do, so you can leave now.” Obviously the other employee (that I’m assuming is one of the owners) never communicated the story or made an attempt to make the girl a new drink as she promised. As this was occurring- I interjected, stating there was no reason for her to be so rude and aggressive to her customers without any good reason behind it. This then escalated into a loud argument between myself and the employee that carried throughout the entire restaurant in which this employee cursed, told me to shut up, and mind my own business, in front of many customers just trying to enjoy their meals. I think it’s important to note, that as this woman was screaming and cursing her main point was how “not rude” she is. Ironic. Near the end of the argument the employee told me that I didn’t have to eat there, to which I stated I would than like a refund since I never received my order. Unsurprisingly, she refused to give me my money back. Throughout the chaos no other team-member or either one of the present owners decided to interfere in order to help diffuse the situation. I was happy to stick up for an individual who didn’t want to raise concern about the way she was being treated, but the type of customer service and plain bullying that was illustrated that day should have never been tolerated to begin with. I didn’t get the rude employees name, but I’m sure her ‘less than sunny’ disposition will make who I am speaking of very clear. Also, the food is of poor quality and overpriced and i noticed many unsanitary health code violations occurring such as no hair nets, touching unprepared food without gloves, the smell of old oil, and not washing hands between different food orders.

The Sushi Bar at The Mission Inn – Menu with Prices – 3649 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside

First off, we were surprised that the wine bar we love was now a sushi bar. The wine bar, 54 Degrees, had an extensive wine selection and also allowed us to order food from the menus of the other three Mission Inn restaurants. Customer service was very high-end and the versatility of menus made for a very customized food experience. We normally ordered from Duane’s so it was expensive for us but a treat that was worth it. The wine and food was an experience to which we looked forward and saved for the occasion. That being said, we were open to trying the new sushi bar. Unfortunately, the wine selection is very limited and what they do have is not premium selections. However, they now off more Japanese beers to go with the sushi. The sushi itself was tasty but the choices were limited. We had a garlic hamachi roll and some nigiri. There were no baked rolls or other options for people who don’t want raw sushi. Perhaps they will expand the menu more later. The service was not of the quality to which we are used to. Service was slow and we got our soup before we got our napkins and bread…and it wasn’t busy. The one thing that kept us there a bit longer was the entertainment that we were glad to see they still had. Overall, we were disappointed in this new change in venue as it doesn’t represent the class, service and history that this establishment represents.
