At first, the cashier was very helpful with their various selections of drinks, but a few minutes after picking up my drink I later realized my order was completely wrong. I had ordered the snow cap drink and received a milk-based drink instead. I returned back to the cashier to correct my order. Since adding the snow cap was more money, she was asking if I had a dollar. I didn’t have a dollar in cash, so I suggested charging it to my card or refund the original order so they could just redo the transaction for the correct drink price. Then, I noticed the only price difference was 25 cents! So I started questioning what they originally charged me for. The lady in line behind me gives them $1 dollar to speed up the situation, but little do they know I am about principle. Then, the owner stops by to repeat the entire situation stating that they are a franchise and they don’t have a button to just charge $1. So now, I have to re-explain the situation AGAIN and he starts getting angry at the cashier for making a mistake with the order. He finally suggests refunding the original order so that he could just start a new transaction which is exactly what I recommended in the first place! Then, he states that the original transaction was refunded. I started asking for the print out of the refund receipt but he just told me to call him if they double charge me. I wanted proof, so he had to show me on their point of sale system. I later found out the first transaction (incorrect order) charged to me cost more than the corrected order. In short, they were trying to charge me more AND they did not refund the gratuity. I am very upset with this business. All they had to do was simply correct the situation by adding the snow cap topping to my drink for making a mistake, but they made the situation worse. I own a small business, and this is no way to treat customers. Waste of time for a few cents on a mistake they made. Milk tea stores are a dime a dozen, and this is one franchise I refused to return to. Update after owner’s comment: As you can read, he has no sense of Customer Service, therefore, the review rating has demoted his business to 1-star. He never refunded the gratuity which also means they received a higher tip percentage since the new transaction cost less. Also, I clearly stated to the cashier I was ordering a snow cap because that is the only type of drink I order and nothing else in these milk tea stores. There is nothing the owner can say to defend himself.

Raw 101 Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 701 Pleasant Grove Blvd #100, Roseville

I used to really enjoy coming here until today. The bottled juices seem like they shrunk in size and now they went from glass bottles to plastic, but I still am being charged $8/ea. Not sure if there is a transition going on, but the cashew milk w/o the coffee is my fav of the milks. However, with that baby bottle I was able to drink it all in 3 gulps. That puts it at a thumbs down. Since I go in quite frequently before I am charged I usually get asked if I have rewards with them. That didn’t happen today til after the transaction to my surprise I had a free drink but couldn’t use it because I already paid. Boo. Please go back to the glass bottles & bottle refund system & perhaps larger quantity because I have no problem paying but I sure would like to savor my juice

TaFino Restaurant & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 370 Valley St, Providence

Sadly there isn’t a less than 1 star rating. Their service is horrible. They take too long to bring your food. We went with 3 small children and it took them 45mins to bring us food. The bill total $155 AFTER we signed the bill came to $165. When we asked the “owner” why that was he claimed the Apple Square charged us $10 for the transaction, he claims the waitress explained the $10 fee and that ALL apple squares charge that fee. Well I have a Square for my business and use apple Squares all the time and I have NEVER been charged $10 on any transaction. He refused to compensate us for the additional charge, claiming nothing he could do, that we should have looked at total before signing. Apparently explaining to him that we had looked at the total and it never said $165 until AFTER we signed was not enough.

Silver Leaf Cigar Lounge – Menu with Prices – 426 Commerce St, Fort Worth

Been to this place a few times, mostly a good experience. Visited again on New Year’s Eve and I was absolutely disgusted with the service received by the female bartender Veronica who is a straight up thief! I ordered 1 cocktail and was charged nearly 30 dollars! Went I confronted her that maybe she had made a mistake she proceeded to tell me that she had given me a discount and refused to correct her mistake.i later spoke with a manger who finally tried to rectify the situation. I am still very shocked with the way I was treated, I and hope people will be more aware of their tabs as she tried to make me look like a liar or as if I didn’t wanna pay for my drink! I hate leaving negative reviews but I hate dishonest people even more!

Temescal Brewing – Menu with Prices – 4115 Telegraph Ave, Oakland

I’m going to give this a 3 star not because the beer or food was bad but because I had an interesting experience. The night i went in I had been ordering beers and left a tab open. I ordered a flight and another pint of beer (which I ordered at two separate times) I don’t know if there was a miscommunication but when I came to pay my tab, I was informed that my transaction had already went through and I was paid out. I was confused because I was not the one that closed out my own tab. The bartender looked my name up and i asked him what was charged and he said the flight only. I then stated that I had ordered another drink and that should have been on my tab as well. then he also said there were apparently two systems connected as one for both locations and that’s where it might have been screwed up. This is where I get sketched out because after all this I asked if there was a tip left on the bill and he said yes! There was a 20% tip. Now I don’t mind paying my bill and tipping because I usually tip 20% in general but the fact that I was NOT the one that closed out my own tab and approved of this transaction is not okay. I also know that some places have a rule of you forget your card over night then you get charged a tip on the card but this wasn’t the case. I was also then charged for my second drink which I had to pay for on a separate bill. Even if they have two systems it shouldn’t be connected for this reason because I’m pretty sure you could get in a lot of trouble with these types of incidents I’m not fishing for free stuff but I’m just disappointed that he didn’t even offer to take the second beer off or something because that’s what I would have done in that situation or even gotten a manager. But I understand business is business and you can’t give away free stuff all the time. ANYWAY at the end of the day I just kinda wanted some answers and also to warn if you leave a tab open. If I come back I’m definitely bringing cash only just as a precaution.

The Speedway Club – Menu with Prices – 3545 Lone Star Cir, Fort Worth

We have been speedway club members for years. The food has always been high priced at $50 a plate. The price is now $52 per person. We made reservations yesterday to sit on the windows and eat at 3:30 today for the AAA 500 race. When we arrived for our reservations we were told that the table we had reserved has been sold for the day and was no longer available. I guess reservations donâ??t matter if someone else has more money to pay for a table for the day. We were given another table and four people ate the buffet which was half empty before the race was half over. When the bill came they had charged us for six people and added a $54.00 service charge and still asked for a gratuity. When I inquired about the overcharge I was told â??Oh sorry that was a mistake.â?? A convenient mistake benefiting them. I wonder if I hadnâ??t looked through the bill if they wouldâ??ve returned the $131.30 that I was overcharged. I think people need to be aware that there is a service charge added to your bill at the speedway club. There is no need to add a gratuity. I donâ??t think weâ??re joining the club again. I think others should be aware of the â??mistakesâ? and carefully check their bill before paying at Texas Motor Speedwayâ??s Speedway Club.

L & L Hawaiian Barbecue – Menu with Prices – 2260 Otay Lakes Rd #105, Chula Vista

L&L will always be a classic go-to for Hawaiian food. However, I am writing this review for this particular business/location as a heads up to its employees. Came in the other day and the girl at the register was too busy talking to her coworker to even bother to look up and notice that there was a customer waiting to order. Super unprofessional. When she finally realized, she said “oh my bad, hi” Strike 1. The real issue arose when my boyfriend told her SPECIFICALLY to charge only ONE of the items onto the card he was handing her. She pretends to understand and says yes, okay. She was obviously not being attentive AGAIN because she charged the entire transaction onto that one card, when we were planning on splitting payments. Then she acts completely baffled with the rest of us and goes, “Oh…I charged the whole thing” and jokingly asks if we have venmo. Are you kidding me? If split payment wasn’t an option, then she should’ve said something instead of saying yes like she knew what the f**k she was doing. It may not seem like a huge issue to you, but it’s a big problem to me because 1. I like to be very meticulous about how much I spend on my CREDIT card 2. Didn’t you JUST agree to follow what the customer asked? 3. I hate it when people don’t pay attention! It’s so easy!! Especially as a cashier, that’s crucial. I was furious and someone had to step in to fix her mess that could’ve easily been avoided if she just LISTENED and DID HER JOB. Don’t make this mistake again because it’s unprofessional and really inconvienient. Thanks for spoiling my appetite for L&L forever. In Eastlake that is. #DramaQUEEN :p

AllMyTea Cafe Menu with Prices 400 Disney Way Ste 129, Anaheim

I wanted to love this place! The cashier was so sweet and kind but my drink was very disappointing! I am lactose intolerant so I ordered a caramel latte with ALMOND milk. I was charged an extra $1 for this, which is typical. I left the area and started drinking my latte about 10 minutes later when it cooled down only to have the taste of sour burnt espresso… I am a mega coffee drinker so it bothered me, but may be fine for most casual drinkers. About 20 minutes later and half way into my drink.. my body realized.. it was made with dairy milk. Like I mentioned, I was charged an extra $1 for almond to avoid this lactose intolerance issue, but my drink was made mistakenly. I understand people make mistakes and I wish I could just toss the drink and forget about it, but after spending hours in agony over a mistake that shouldn’t have been made, I was just disappointed. Overall, this shop has a great atmosphere, great options (oat, almond, soy, coconut, or regular milks), and great friendly employees.. but I ask that they please pay more attention to their orders!!!!

Tai Chi Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 5414 Walnut Ave, Irvine

The worst service experience I have never had before!!!! Tonight, I was going to Taichi to buy their Wonton soup which was today’s special dish offer. When I gave them my credit card to pay the order, the male cashier Wang said: ” We do NOT accept credit cards under $20, especially your order is a dinner special.” What!? Why was I DISCRIMINATED against because of ordering a dinner special and pay by credit card??????? Then, I went to check my purse if I had enough cash, but I did not find any. So, I told them I did not have cash, and when your restaurant posted menu in group, you guys did not mention do not accept credit card under $ 20 anywhere, even in the front desk of the restaurant, there is nowhere customers can find this notice. Unfortunately, this cashier Huang did not explain anything to me. Instead, he said Impatiently and Rude: ” It is COMMON SENSE in American like you go to the 99 Ranch market, they won’t accept, either.” What the Heck!? Then, he started to service other customers who were behind me and just IGNORED me. After I stood there embarrassed about 3 mins, he asked me to transfer the amount to his BOA account by Zelle. Finally, I got my food which was needed to bring to church. Actually, I hate spreading negative inform and rarely give a bad review. However, the cashier in Taichi made it! Good job cashier Wang! (1) If you think people who order today’s special dish are cheap, no cash in pocket and have to pay by credit card even under $20, please mention it early or do not offer today’s special, I won’t be angry (2) If you are afraid the bank will charge your boss the transaction fee by using a credit card, I am willing to pay that several cents for my order. Customers going to your restaurant is for service and pay for it, not for being charged!

Mazaj Lounge and Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2480 37 Ave NE, Calgary

Waitress there (curly hair) over charged a gratuity charge 5% when it clearly says on the menu that 15% is only charged when there is a group of 6 or more guests. She charged us for guacamole that she promised to take off the bill because it was horrible. A $195 bill was only worth $165 and when confronted about it she said it was a â??new policyâ? because people didnâ??t tip enough. for one, tipping is a personal choice and shouldnâ??t be forced upon guests. Also, if this is a new policy, make that clear before people order or receive their bill. Definitely not impressed with the staff and how things are run at this location.

Newberry Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 18236 Prairie Ave, Torrance

Pretty stoked that the South Bay milk tea scene is finally happening! In the last couple of years, there has been so many more openings (and more to come) that makes me miss SGV a little less (SGV still the best!). Pleasantly surprised to find this new little gem that doesn’t have franchise backing (e.g. Ding Tea, Sharetea, Gong Cha, etc…) but still offer tasty and may I say, affordable milk tea. Granted, their selection is pretty slim compared to the franchise powerhouses but they do their few quite well. We tried the hummingbird and jasmine green milk tea and enjoyed both drinks. The sweetness level was great (and you can adjust). Another plus is that they open early!! 8am but closed on Sundays. It is a small location without much seating and it is a little bit easy to miss as you are driving through. Parking: shared lot with a bunch of other stores in a strip mall

Fine Ash Cigars Bar & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 9380 W Westgate Blvd Suite D-107, Glendale

I had to give one star to write a review. Id rather not have gave any stars. First time customer purchased 3 sticks then ordered 3 drinks. According to their menu the alcohol I chose was 8.00 dollars when drinks arrived my check was 50.00 dollars for 3 drinks!! When I pointed this out to the woman (owner I believe) she explained that the prices had changed and it should have been 10 dollars for each drink, which still should have been 30 dollars or so with tax. Then I saw the receipt. I was also charged 5 dollars per drink extra for an upgrade charge to make the drink I asked for. So not only did I have to pay for their error in pricing but also had to pay for a drink that at every other spot is between 8 to 10 dollars. I will never return to this place nor will I recommend it. Any place that wouldnt honor their own menu prices nor tell their customers there is an upgrade charge isnt a place I trust. Whether you visit or not is up to you, i just felt future customers should be warned! As per the response, here are the so called “dive bars” the business is referring to who share their cigar space that do not charge to make an old fashion. Fox cigar bar, churchills fine cigars and Torch cigars. Feel free to check for yourself. Also some other so called “dive bars” who do not charge an up charge non cigar also for an old fashion. Dominicks steakhouse, bittered and twisted, St Francis, joyride, postinos. The list goes on and on! No need for a refund, please pass it on to the next customer you plan to up charge, i would hate for another customer to feel the way we did. Just tell them theres no up charge because you owed a previous customer a refund for your error.

Reputation Beverage Co- Lansing – Menu with Prices – 800 E Michigan Ave, Lansing

Geez oh man. Don’t get me started. I’ve been here twice and have been supremely disappointed both times. The first time, drinks took forever to make, weren’t great and the food truck fare was so-so. However, I live nearby and really want this area to be successful. So, I went back last week. I intended to get an iced coffee thinking it was a safe bet. Upon visiting I found out they don’t have iced coffee, but they do have cold brew. For $4.50 or nitro for $5. The man working there talked me into the nitro since he gave me a sample and said it was award winning. He’s correct, it was good. But that’s where it went wrong. I asked for him to leave room for cream, and he suggested coconut milk. I agreed. Then he rang me up. It ended up costing $6.09. Where’d that extra dollar come from? Apparently it was an up charge for the coconut milk. He never mentioned an up charge and just added it without my approval. I was so angry I was speechless. I’m kicking myself for not saying something. In conclusion, I will absolutely never go back, and I buy coffee at Strange Matter or Blue Owl at least once a week. Crafted Bean lost a potential regular, and I would strongly suggest you travel down the street to Strange Matter unless you want to spend SIX DOLLARS AND NINE CENTS FOR A COLD BREW.
