When you walk in to the Clinic through the back door, the first thing you pass is Sarahs Vegan Cafe of Life. Immediately you sense this venue is a wholesale distributor of Love, Health, and Happiness. On my first visit, I also had to wait a few minutes in the lobby, again I noticed everything induces a wonderful feeling of being in a healthy happy place. One thing I didn’t notice is the sterile atmosphere you’d find in many Doctor’s offices. And then there’s Laurie the receptionist who again instills a feeling of confidence you’ve arrived at your oasis of health and happiness. And of course, there’s “Dr. Dave” as everyone seems to affectionately refer to him. I’ve visited over 20 different chiropractors in my life of moving around through the world. So when I first visited this clinic during a holiday here and Dr. Dave did my adjustment, I knew he’d hit the spot and I walked out feeling much better. And you can tell it’s his charisma which is the heart of the creative and wonderful atmosphere which supports chiropractic treatment in this clinic. I haven’t really tried the massage, but by chance on one visit, one of the masseuses was sitting in the lobby and during conversation volunteered a few hints of how to fix a problem with my hand, it was something I could do myself. So I tried it and it worked, in minutes as I was sitting right there. And also when my 6 year old son got hit in the neck by a stray football on the playground and it caused him so much pain he could barely move his head. We were so scared, but rather than heading for a medical doctor, we showed up at the Cafe of Life without an appointment and Dr. Dave immediately put him at ease and gave our son his first chiropractic adjustment with skill & tenderness and without scaring him. It worked on the first try and my son walked out feeling no pain and with full head and neck movement restored, he’s now joined the ranks of people who affectionately asks “when is the next time we’re gonna visit Dr. Dave”. Thanks so much !!! We now live in Bend and continue to appreciate the caring services provided in this clinic. And also find it more and more difficult to pass by the goodies in the Cafe of Life even though we’re not Vegans. Keep it up Dave and Sarah !!!!

C.A.F.E of Life Chiropractic: Dr. Alfonso Di Carlo Menu with Prices 4540 Hamilton Blvd, Allentown

I have never been to a chiropractor before and did not know what to expect. I have had a consultation and 2 adjustments so far and my expectations have been exceeded. The entire staff is very helpful, itâ??s not just a quick in and out visit. The staff helps with pre-adjustment exercises. That get you warmed up before Dr. DiCarlo performs the adjustment. I am feeling better and will continue. This place is a whole health wellness center and can help with more than just simple back pain. You will see how through Dr. DiCarlo and his team is with the extensive consultation that includes a booklet evaluating your xrays and is full of information. Highly recommended!!

Dave’s Cosmic Subs – Menu with Prices – 1766 N High St, Columbus

Yum!!! Theres a new sub shop in town. DAVE’S Cosmic Subs did not disappoint. Everything was so fresh and that special sauce is no joke. I had never had Dave’s before. They have other locations in Ohio but this was my 1st take. When I walked in I got a great welcome. One of the employees came out and helped me run through the menu. They were extremely friendly and great at letting me know what I might like. I went with the original. It’s a traditional Italian but it tastes a lot better than any other I’ve had. They have tons of options, and you can chose hot or cold. They have some signature sodas and a few desserts. Theres also fries. They were doing a chili cheese feature while I was there. They looked delicious, I’ll definitely order next time I’m in. Overall this place is absolutely delicious and as long as the staff stays friendly I think they’ll do great on campus! Welcome to OSU Dave’s Cosmic Subs!

Dave’s Donuts – Menu with Prices – 4616 N First St, Fresno

Someone offered me a Krispy Kreme today and I thought to myself how mediocre these donuts are. Not sure what the big deal ever was but it seems when they opened in the bay area, everyone was raving about them. Hey! They aren’t that good! To tell you the truth I don’t really know ANY outstanding donut joints around the bay area. Are there any? So in a whim of nostalgia, I remembered the place that I used to frequent as a teenager at very early (3-5am) hours in the morning, pick up a dozen and head to Woodward Park and go star gazing. Man these things were good. Especially when they were freshly made at those hours. Baked goods tend to have a very short half life once they’ve been purchased but not Dave’s donuts. These things were absolutely delish even after a day or two, not that they often lasted that long. This place wasn’t in a particularly high traffic zone but they had their hooks in the morning delivery business and Dave had his truck with a camper shell built with specialized racks to carry these baked treasures of goodness. I figure this had to be the bulk of his living since punks like me showing up at the wee hours buying a single dozen wasn’t going to cut it. I don’t know if this place still exists as it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been back to my home town. I hope Dave is still going strong because when I do go back Im going to make it a point to hit up the first dozen I’ve had in years.

The Cutting Edge Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1434 Sam’s Dr Ste 102, Chesapeake

Whew, Chile! The Cutting Edge Café is life, do you hear me!? It is so good that I have been for lunch back to back for the past three days straight. I have not experienced better paninis in my life. On my first visit, I got the chicken avocado club with a side of hummus, on my second visit, I got the chicken thigh special on potato bread with a side salad, and on my third visit, I got the wasabi braised beef sandwich with sweet potato fries. Each and every day the food was hot, fresh, and delicious; furthermore, there was not one menu item I did not like. There is no wrong decision here when it comes to picking a meal. Service is very diligent and friendly. It stays packed for lunch but doesn’t let that deter you, you will get your food in no time and with a smile. All in all, more people need to know about The Cutting Edge Café, and I’m kicking myself for not having getting down here sooner.

MKEHemp Rx Dispensary – Menu with Prices – 706 N Milwaukee St, Milwaukee

My son and I stopped in here in hopes to get something alternative to opiods to help with my pain. I not only have chronic pain but also fractured my pelvis just over a month ago and I am still healing from that. Needless to say I am constantly in excruciating pain. The gentleman who helped us was amazing. He was not only extremely knowledgeable but was also very compassionate and genuinely wanted to help me find relief from my pain. He recommended an edible CBD gel made by Lazarus Naturals and it is working wonders. He also let me try a CBD pain rub in the store that worked great and I will be returning to purchase it very soon. And then he was so kind he gave me a 3 pack of CBD pain patches (you wear it just like a litocain patch) that my son and I both tried. My son put it on his neck where he has been dealing with a link and within an hour he felt relief and was able to crack his neck which he was not able to do prior to wearing the patch. I put one on my arm in a spot where I believe I pulled or strained a muscle and I actually started feeling relief closer to a half hour after putting it on. I was a bit skeptical because I had previously purchased some edible CBD gummy bears from the local liquor store that were just a waste of money, but after using these 3 products it’s easy for me to understand why people all over the country have fought so hard to legalize CBDs and THC for medicinal purposes. They WORK! And are a way safer and non addictive alternative to standard narcotic pain medicine. I look forward to the day when THC will be legalized. I highly recommend trying CBDs for pain relief. I also highly recommend purchasing your CBD products from MKEHemp because the place, products, and staff are all amazing!

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Emergency Room – Menu with Prices – 3600 Joseph Siewick Dr, Fairfax

Life is precarious at times. As we age, stuff starts to fail or break down in our bodies. Basically, getting older SUCKS. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I learned that normal human beings have a blood toxicity level of beween 0 and 25%. I was “functioning” at 191%. The hospital was amazed I was still standing. I had no appetite and began vomitting often. Yep, my kidneys gave up and I was in renal failure. Yay me. I met with my vascular surgeon at the hospital for a procedure where they fuse a vein and an artery in my forearm. This is called a “Fistula.” Problem is that it takes six weeks to mature. So the hospital inserted a catheter in my neck for Dialysis access until the Fistula heals. Well, they placed the wrong catheter in me and told me (after the fact) that no Dyalysis clinic would accept me untill I had the proper catheter inserted. WHY did they put the wrong one in? No one would answer me. One thing that really angered me was that I was excruciating pain for over six hours and they basically gave me a pain patch that did nothing. I had to beg for two Tylenol. I’m a Diabetic and I STRONGLY suggest bringing your own insulin and supplies. When they check, it takes about 90 to 120 minutes to actually get it. They need to run it by a doctor, then contact the pharmacy so it takes too long. And then, they have this algorithm telling them what dosage to administer. The algorithm is ridiculous. If I need, let’s say, 20 units, they’d give me 4 or 5 units. Useless. I’ve been giving myself insulin for ten years and use a sliding scale. The medical staff told me that I had to start consuming more protein while on Dyalysis. Okay, so I bought protein bars and protein shakes. Well, what no one told me was that unless I was actually on Dialysis, I should hold back on the protein. Higher protein caused me to become Uremic again and my body was shutting down again. You see, while you’re in the hospital, a coordinator is supposed to coordinate a time and place at a Dialysis clinic. All I got from the hospital is that they left messages that went unanswered. Really? I think they play this game in order to get you to stay in the hospital longer and pay more money. They say it’s “not safe” to leave unless I have a reserved slot at a cliniic. My questions are, what the HELL were they doing for the three and a half days I was there? And why couldn’t they coordinate after I was discharged? Since I left “against medical advice” the hospital got really snotty with me. Probably because they knew they were not going to bilk more money out of me and my insurance company. They refused to provide any documentaton for my work and provided me with no instructions whatsoever. I had to beg them to put me in a wheelchair and wheel me to the lobby so I could get a Lyft home. Also, the food was, in a word, AWFUL. I mean, even the soup was barely edible. Overall, the staff was nice but not efficient because everything took so long. They made FOUR egregious mistakes and the communication between departments was atrocious. I mentioned how much I hated Fair Oaks Hospital to other medical staff (from the two hospitals I visited afterward) and they’d smile or chuckle and then made comments like, ” I hear that a lot”, “I turned down a job there” or “I would never send anyone there.” Sounds about right. If you can help it, avoid this place. Had this hospital done its job getting me a dialysis time slot and putting the right catheter in me, I wouldn’t have had to admit myself into Virginia Hospital Center.

Living Green Cafe Menu with Prices 2202 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton

Update ! I removed a one star because they allow dogs in there not service dogs but those fake ones with the vest , it grossed me out because they have a hot open bar of food , I’m a firm believer that animals don’t belong in restaurants. I love this place and atmosphere is so relaxing and trendy , the food is on the healthier side and it’s tasty, they also have a great wine selection. FYI this is an update I apologize for the lunatic that is stocking my yelp page and is putting funny on all of my reviews this lady Cherie B is acting oddly and I apologize for her in advance , she seems to have a issue with every place she visits including the vets , she gave Mizner Park Veterinary clinic the worst review , yet she was never given a exam or charge a dime for anything , she was combative since the minute she stepped foot in there and the aft Asked her to leave , we she did she also called the next day threatening the clinic if she wasn’t removed for the database she is bonkers, she made a huge review and had a tantrum she was speaking about prices and calling the vet a scam artist , ? She wasn’t served so how can she have a honest opinion of the clinic she wasn’t served or charged she was asked to leave.

Unforgettable Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 238 Eisenhower Dr, Savannah

This is my first Yelp review, so pardon me if it’s a bit romanticized. “Unforgettable, That’s what you are . . .” I found this charming (hidden gem) of a bakery on the day they were celebrating the Haitian Independence Day (January 1st) in 2019. From the moment I stepped through the door, even though this was my first time there, I was welcomed like family. The food was delicious, the service on the first visit was like I had been coming there for years, and the celebration they offered, a mix of storytelling, Haitian art, and music, made me feel like a wide-eyed child exploring a new world. Upon leaving, Belinda Baptiste, the delightful owner of Unforgettable, came over to hug me, and thank me for spending this momentous day with her family, of which I was now eternally a part of. “That’s why, darling, it’s incredible That someone so unforgettable Thinks that I am Unforgettable, too…. ” To pull a line from Dr. Suess, I walked out of the Unforgettable Bakery and Cafe in Savannah, Ga, feeling as though my heart had grown three sizes that day! Anytime I’m in Savannah, I plan to head back there, and you should go as well. Pran plezi!!!

THE CAKE CONFECTIONERY – Menu with Prices – 4419 Aurora Ave, Des Moines

Discovered Becky’s mini cakes at The Iowa Clinic’s café, of all places!! They are amazing. Best cakes ever and big enough to share. The container that they’re packed in is perfect for transport. I took my daughter to lunch for her birthday and pulled one out of my purse! I would like to know where else I can get them. I told my family that I wanted 63 for my next birthday. Sadly, I only got 2! They’re also perfect for a little thank you gift. Thank you Becky!!!
