This is tough review to write. The location is great and the food pretty decent. The service we received from Isabel and Nina was really great as well. Why the one star? Here’s why…. Within the hour after eating I was hit with terrible diarrhea. Explosive enough to almost not make it to the restroom. I’m doing intermittent fasting and I had not had anything to eat since about 7pm the previous night so this wasn’t due to anything I had eaten before going to County Line. I was out of commission for the rest of the day but fine once I got their food out of my system. Not only that, as this was a staff function (and we laid down a lot of $ at our intern end-of-summer luncheon), I wasn’t the only one to get sick. My IT manager also got hit. Badly. And missed work as well. So, thinking that County Line would appreciate being told to maybe check into things in the kitchen, when I called the manager to explain, he promptly told me how they check everything, everything’s clean, food borne illnesses take 8 hours to develop, and that there was no way this was due to their food. Seriously? WebMD has this to say, “Cramps in your stomach and gut, diarrhea, and vomiting may start as early as 1 hour after eating tainted food.” All I got from the manager was “sorry you’re sick, hope you feel better, it’s not from us. Good luck. Bye.” I can’t ever take my staff back here. Nor my family. Nor recommend this location to anyone that I care about. I’d love to support the fine wait staff there, but not an arrogant (and frankly, lying with his 8-hour statement) manager, who made no attempt to check into tainted food. (We’re pretty sure it was the deviled eggs appetizer, by the way).

Mikuni Seafood & Sushi Buffet – Menu with Prices – 22901 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance

I’m 79 years old, a retired MD. My wife and I have a lunch hear twice a week. We like their taste. Unlike typical commercial Chinese foods, Mikuni provides home style foods and taste (not salty, nor greasy). I sometimes call my old friends and have a little lunch-on party. Sometime back, a lady wrote here that she got poisoned by eating raw oysters. My guess is that she was not accustomed to eat raw oysters. I eat raw oysters here at all times, but never got sick, because Mikuni’s oysters are always fresh. She wrote she got sick by eating only one oyster. My guess is that she probably ate more than 3 to 4. It is common that an average person will get diarrhea within 3 to 4 hours after eating raw oysters, if he (or she) eat more than 3 raw oysters with empty stomach.

Grover’s Fingers & Wings – Menu with Prices – 9418 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola

So we just came to Grovers for lunch. We have always enjoyed the food until today. While eating a chicken finger I found a long black hair in my food. .which is now in my mouth! I took it up to the counter on my plate and was offered another plate! Nothing else was done. When I asked to speak to the manager, a man told me he wasnt really the manager but what could he do to help. I explained the situation and he said he was sorry but didnt his wife ask if she could cook me something else. No she did not but sorry if I dont feel like eating anything else now, as I am sick to my stomach from having someone elses hair in my mouth! He said well you seem hostile and I said yes because I paid $30 for food I couldn’t eat. He said I don’t know what to do, this has only happened like 2 times before. I told him a partial refund or a voucher for future use. He said I would love to buy you dinner but I don’r have any cards or anything to give you. So basically I have to take his word that IF I go back I MIGHT get my dinner replaced. (He could’ve written it on a freaking napkin!) I wish I had paid with my credit card because I would’ve disputed the charge! I even said you can look at the camera and see me pull it out of mouth and he said they don’t really work! Good thing there are plenty of other places to eat. They are good but if this is how they deal with sanitary issues…nope I would rather not take the chance!

El Japo’s Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 2697 N Orange Olive Rd, Orange

Well well well…. I left feed back on EL Japo’s Instagram page, and it was deleted because it did not fit their agenda. Hey EL JAPO good luck deleting this. A few weeks ago my coworkers and I tried El Japo’s. After leaving the restaurant and eating their mediocre food, I had a bad case of diarrhea along with my three coworkers. One of my coworkers got food poisoning and ended up in the hospital and stayed overnight. Not only was our food just mediocre their service was horrible. Shitty attitude, rude waiter, and made it feel like you were bothering them to be there. I watched one of the waiters eat off of a plate she was taking back to the kitchen. Pretty disgusting. Also noticed the cooks without any hairnet or any other protection to keep their hair from falling into the food. Unsanitary conditions and no gloves worn. If you are trying to get sick or want immediate weight loss due to a bad case of diarrhea this is a perfect restaurant for you. Good luck and proceed with caution. After I posted this I was contacted by the restaurant and I was advised that they are going to sue me for leaving a bad review on yelp… What a freaking joke these people are. I do not have a receipt from your restaurant. I did not save a receipt for any restaurant visit. I don’t expect to get sick. Stop trying to weasel your way out of this and just accept responsibility. God bless you too although you didn’t even sneeze

Burger King – Menu with Prices – 8501 South Fwy, Fort Worth

Customer service is very rude. Went threw drive thru and was told to pull around since i wasnt ready within her asking me what i wanted and i tried to ask a minute to look at the menu and was told no we have a line pull around. The first time i went they closed a hour early and was inside socializing and said they were closed, second time i went they were out of burger had only chicken nuggets this was my third and last time going if they dont want my money every time ive gone else were and will for now on all their staff have been rude when ive tried to order.Ive never had to give a review before but this is ridiculous and should have something done about it.

Aburi Sushi & Ramen – Menu with Prices – 735 E Green St, Pasadena

Now I can finally write a review for this place after coming here three times. I had both good AND bad experience so let me just start out by saying your experience may depend on the day of your visit. My very first time at Aburi was with my best friend. She and I had a great dinner doing AYCE even though no server has informed us about how only 5 orders will be served first or whatever they call this policy. Second time, I went with my Mom. Since I have gone to other Aburi location in Long Beach and also here with my bestie, I thought I knew what was going on. My server named ‘Lily’ was very unprofessional. After filling out my order sheet, I handed to her and she told me about the 5 orders thing and not knowing what it was, I told her last time I was here I wasnt told that but its fine, it is what it is. Then she tried to argue with me in a very annoying tone so I was like whatever. Then she goes off telling me that NONE of the COLLARS are available (Salmon & Yellowtail). So I said its fine. It was just her attitude, tone of her voice and behavior that made me so irritated. She didnt look serious and looked very nonchalant. Before getting my orders, another server comes and explains to me about Lily’s actions and re-explained to me about the 5 order policy and so I clearly told her I wasnt too fond of way she delivered the message; unprofessional. Later, I got some of my orders then I see both Salmon and Yellowtail collars coming my way. I told the new server that ‘Lily’ told me you guys dont have any collars available and now I see both on my table. She said ‘she meant to say we have limited supply’ Um, excuse me? I know how to write and speak English. She CLEARLY told me she did NOT have it. She didnt mention anything about limited supply or whatever though I was aware because it says it on the order sheet. I was just so sick of everything from then on. So my second experience was crappy as ever so I decided to come again with my Boyfriend to finalize my thoughts before giving them a review. My third time was again so-so. My server was just fine. But it was the FOOD that was below par. My Boyfriend and I ordered 2 orders of sashimi (Salmon and Seared Tuna) and did not receive it after we received all of our orders for the first round. We also did not get any collars. I asked the server to check and a bit later, one of the collars came as salmon collar was not available. Our 2 sashimi came out with the Yellowtail Sashimi added during second round and so ALL of our sashimi came out at the same time. I belive it was Yellowtail Sashimi. Boyfriend took a piece to eat and later I looked at the plate to grab, I SEE A HAIR. A SHORT CURLY HAIR (please see attached picture with this review). I was disgusted. With the disappointing experience I had before, everything was unpleasant and started double checking all the foods left on the table for any hair or things that SHOULDNT be there. I called the server to let him know. He literally said, ‘oh sh!t’ and asked if I wanted a new one. My Boyfriend wanted it so I said yes. Other than that, no apology of any kind was made to my table. Again, this is very unprofessional. I dont want to stereotype but almost ALL asian owned businesses lack sooooooo much professionalism handling situations like this. Gross. I didnt want free food. All I wanted was an apology or a ‘statement’ from the manager but absolutely nothing! So that sums up all my dining experiences (3) here at Aburi. Extremely disappointed in lacking professionalism displayed by servers or even the management. Food hygiene is definitely a BIG issue. No parking available as street parking (1 hr) is the only option I believe. I was hoping to enjoy here at Aburi but since the first visit, it has been DOWNHILL. Such a disappointment. Done.

Laughing Crab – Menu with Prices – 7511 Youree Dr, Shreveport

I was visiting Shreveport today and saw a commercial about this place. I should have gone to Shane’s. Everything about this place sucks. Upon arrival we waited to be seated but there wasnt a host to seat us. There was a lady that hollered from across the restaurant and pointed where we should sit. As we were seated, the waitress approached the table and and wasnt very knowledgeable about prices or the food being sold. On Sundays they offer happy hour all day. I chose a margarita, but they charge an extra $1 if you want a flavored margarita otherwise you just get a regular margarita. Because you have the option of choosing your flavor for the seafood, I asked the waitress do they cook the seafood in the flavor and her response was yes. So we ordered a K1, snow crab boil, lemon pepper and buffalo wings. The seafood had seasoning on top of it, but the food was bland and was not cooked in the seasoning. The shrimps were overcooked. The wings were fried hard and they were dark. They were big and as they cooled down, they became tough. My date and I got sick after eating at this place. I will never visit this place again. They are too expensive for mediocre food and service.

China Construction America – Menu with Prices – 525 Washington Blvd 31 Floor, Jersey City

I ordered a bowl with green , no rice. They offered me three types of veggie. I added the mapo tofu and steam fish to it. The waiter told me the steam fish is made to order so I waited. The first attempt, the fish cooked wrongly so I wait for another 5 minutes. Instead of giving me a separate bowl, at the beginning they asked me to bring my bowl of food that I already started eating ( pretty strange ). At the end I had the fish in separate bowl. The fish had no fiber, just a piece of scallion under the plain steam fish. I was quite happy finish the entire bowl of food and ate all the veggie. Unfortunately, after an hour, my stomach got very upset and end up in the bathroom all night with diarrhea. I think the veggie is not fresh and was site in the server for more than a few hours. There should be food safety standard in any restaurant in terms of leaving cooked food in open air ( max hours). Owner : the email is not valid . Whats your email address ? The owner asked me to call him. When I told him what happened to me ( since I did not have lunch and the only food is from his restaurant). He tried to say that’s the reason for my diarrhea. He said the food is above 135 *not sure if it is F or C. I feel the food is cold and has been sitting in the tray for at least 3 hours. According to the regulation , food can not be place in open air for certain amount of time as bacteria will grow especially in warm food. I hope the food in chinah is safe. In NYC, there is rating system and officer checking the food safety. I am not sure the arrangement in NJ.

The Crab Station – Arlington Menu with Prices 1101 E Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington

This location had horrible food. We got a sack 5, octopus, cajun fries, rice, 2 kids meal chicken strip baskets, and 2 bread puddings. We assumed the food would be just as good as the Dallas location but sadly we were mistaken. The octopus came out and it was lukewarm and super rubbery. The shrimps, crawfish, crab, corn, and potatoes that came in sack #5 were all lukewarm as well. In addition to the food coming out lukewarm the seasonings tasted horrible. Everything that came in sack #5 was hard to get out of the shell like it had either been sitting there in the warm water or it was overcooked or hell it could’ve even been microwaved. The bread pudding was horrible! I took one bite and put it down. It just tasted BAD. The chef either wasn’t there and they were just bringing out food that was sitting there or the chef just didn’t know what they were doing. Our server Mary was nice but for a sever to be good they need to be more than just nice. They need to be able to be nice and make sure they bring out fresh high quality food. I get we came an hour before close and maybe we should’ve came earlier but, we’ve came an hour before close at the Dallas location and the food was still spectacular there. Why would it not be the same quality when it’s the same restaurant just different location? Idk what they did to our food but we got sick for 2 days straight after eating that food. And we couldn’t even eat it all because it was so bad so who knows how sick we would’ve been if we tried to eat all of it. Shame on y’all Crab Station Arlington. There needs to be some re-training happening ASAP. Re-train both the servers and the cooks. Im extremely disappointed with our experience at this location.

Sam’s Tavern Menu with Prices 931 108th Ave NE, Bellevue

First time i am at this location, order a bottle of wine, wings, tenders, salad and a burger, we start eating watching the seahawks game and my husband was eating the burger and in the middle it was raw like running blood, i talk to the server about it and her answered was “that is grease” and then i told her that he didn’t like it like that ,can you please cook it more ,and she said that was how medium well was prepared and then laughed sarcastically at my face pulling the tray of my hands, i pull the tray back and ask her what was so funny about that. The server never asked how he would like the burger prepared. When the burger came back I ask to speak to the manager but there was no manager on the scene, the guy that was running the food say he Was the assistant manager ,I explained him the situation and he apologize saying he will take out the burger from my bill. At that point I didn’t finish my dinner and didn’t watch the game because of the uncomfortable situation the waitress put me in. She came back with the check saying i will not take out the burger because i saw you are writing a yelp review… at that point i was furious so i stand up and walk to the bar ,then the waitress made this comment to my husband “this is your wife.. i am so sorry for you” . She crossed the line. The bartender was really nice to talk to me and he told me if i want a discount besides the burger, i told him i was not complaining about the money, it was about respect and service, i pay my bill and left. I was so disappointed of the service i was provide. When i was talking to the bartender i was crying of anger. I can believe she disrespected me the way ,what she did that is so unprofessional i will expect that someone will contact me and give me a follow up please. At this point I don’t know if the server Mikayla did all that as a racist matter ,because i was talking in spanish or because i am mexican. I call this morning to the restaurant to try to speak with the manager, but no one answered.

Dragon Express / Pho Vietnam Express – Menu with Prices – 678 E St, Chula Vista

I was looking for pho in the area and came across this place. The reviews all seem so great so I decided to give it a try. All everyone sayd about this place is that its in a run down ghetto place. Thats definitely not the case. I ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, y eggrolls, and large pho. My total came out to $35 a bit more than what i usually pay at my regular pho place. It was good but it wasnt the best like everyone says. Rice kinda tasted like it had been cooked since the morning and just sitting under heat. Orange chicken was ehh. The egg rolls where good. The pho was a big portion but it wasnt all that tasty it was missing lots of flavor. I was extremely disappointed since I was sick and pho was the only thing I was craving. I dont think i will be giving this place a second chance. I’ll most likely stick to my original pho place even if its a bit further.

Submarine House – Menu with Prices – 8807 N Dixie Dr, Dayton

If you want delivery you may want to have a back up plan. After ONE HOUR FORTY FIVE MINUTES I called to check on my order. I was told that it would be another 30 minutes. (I was initially told it would be maybe an hour at the most and I was fine with that) The person I spoke with on the phone was frustrated WITH ME and ended up hanging up on me. This will be a place we don’t need to go back to. It’s one thing to be running late but if you’re going to be mad at me when I call to question order status, I don’t need to give you another chance.

Nick Newton’s and Spinelli’s – Menu with Prices – 211 W Main St, Murfreesboro

Yesterday, I was on the square for a worship night that the Experience church put on. We decided to go to Spinelli’s before hand for dinner at 5:30. I will be fair and acknowledge that they were busy, however we waited an hour with out even being greeted by a server at our table. My friend’s brother finally flagged down a server and she said “we are busy, I’ll get to you when I can.” Half an hour later, we asked for a manager. The manager said “We are busy, but I want y’all to be happy, so you’ll get your meal for free.” We finally, after an hour and a half, got our drinks and put our order in. ANOTHER hour and a half later (3 hours waiting, at this point) some of our party’s food was served. 3 of us were not served. They told my friend’s brother “They have not even started on your Stromboli, do you even want it?” He asked them to just bring him something else that was already cooked. I asked, “What about my pizza?” She said “I don’t know, I’ll go check.” She came back with a piece of pizza for my friend’s brother, and once again I asked about mine and she said “I’ll check on it.” I finally got my pizza at 8:45 (3 hours and 15 min later) and it was wrong. I just had to laugh about it. The server came back to us and told us she quits because the manager yelled at her. Last night was a hot mess. I hope they get better because covering the cost of our meal doesn’t make up for the fact that we missed the event we were there for. I’ve never had such horrible service in my life. The only reason we didn’t leave was because we knew with the event, we would have to wait other places too and we kept thinking surely, after this long, our food is coming.
