Is this place an actual sack of potatoes? No. But nevertheless, they do offer a decent amount of options using potatoes. A Sack of Potatoes is located right in the plaza next to the new apartments by Carl’s Jr. and down to the right of I-Tea. When you walk inside, it’s actually pretty spacious with two large tables to match the group size of 5-6 at the back and even more tables to fit 4 people or 2. You’ll notice the modern/rustic twist alongside with the greenery on the walls and wooden interior. Also the lighted up sign on the ceilings! With a clever name, the place itself has an adventurous vibe. This is probably due to the fact that most of the items on their menu belong on a fair menu, yet they handle the food with more care and provide high quality tea. Although their menu has a sufficient amount of food to choose from, it ranges from snacks (popcorn chicken, curry fries, waffle fries, potato tornado) & fresh teas (fruity such as mango and peach) to more filling foods like pasta and Chinese crepes. However, everything is a bit on the pricier side which mimics the “street fair” characteristic. If you glance over the menu, you could easily spend $15 on just a drink and a snack. This factor lacks in the affordable area that I was hoping for considering the place displays a more of a “go-to” kind of vibe. But, whenever I visit a new place for the first time, I don’t mind the pricy factor as much as I would the second time. So, I was able to buy the “best or popular foods” I noticed on other people’s reviews. What I Ordered: -I am already a huge fan of the sweet yet bitter HK Milk Tea. She was already $4.75 though and the place doesn’t even offer boba/toppings. The verdict is that she was WAY too sweet for how I normally like it. It was as the normally bitter aftertaste magically disappeared and drowned in condensed milk. I was disappointed only because I never had to adjust the sweetness at other HK style cafes for their milk tea. But, it was partly my fault because I didn’t adjust the sweetness to 60% because I didn’t want mine to be overly bitter. We have to come back a second time to check that out though! -A6 Signature Iron Platter Potato Fries & Potato Tornado Again, pretty pricey at $5.75 & $4.99. The amount of potato fries they give you wouldn’t cut it for me, but the quality made it worth it. It was savory and not at all salty. The fries absorbed the Parmesan & pepper taste very well (there was some sort of kick or curry). While, the potato tornado was not as crisp as I hoped for. It lacked that hint of a crunch i was expecting, but then again the taste was phenomenal. The sprinkle of parsley added to balanced amount of salt and pepper. I don’t know if it worth the price though… -Fresh Mango Hibiscus Flower Green Tea Literally couldn’t let this MAN-GO (my parents ordered this) because it was delicate and refreshing to the point that I kept sipping this drink instead of the HK Milk Tea I got for myself. They put a LITERAL Hibiscus Flower in there and used no syrups. I would definitely come back just for their fresh teas because of how much care they put into each one. Also, at 60% sweetness, the mango was not sour and the flower still had a strong impact on the fruit tea itself. The cashier was very helpful on telling us what sweetness to get their fresh teas at as well. He mentioned that if we got at 30% sugar, it would have been sour. I was very pleased that he was helpful to us and the customers! My experience at A Sack of Potatoes was both fulfilling and somewhat of a let down. I was extremely impressed that they make all of their drinks in the front for customers to see that they use the natural stuff with no syrups, unlike some boba places cough cough. I haven’t tried the crepes and pasta yet, but the snacks I got were not worth the price. On the other hand, I would strongly recommend to get their fresh teas though

Sharetea Fullerton – Menu with Prices – 2445 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton

I’m rather picky with my teas and milk teas, but when I’m craving a drink, Sharetea is one of the top choices on my list. The quality and service is amazing. I also love how they are consistent. Of the many times I have gone, only once did an order taste different than usual, but all other times I’ve gone, the drinks almost always taste the same, which I love. Lots of other places can be very inconsistent, so even if you order the same drink every time, you’ll be surprised every time. Not Sharetea — if you have drink favorites, you will know what you’re getting 98% of the time (in my experience). No funky tastes, weird sweetness levels, inconsistent ratios and tastes, etc. This place is located in a plaza relatively close to CSUF and Troy H.S., so this place (especially towards the evening) is always swarming with students. Parking can be a bit difficult when it’sa busier time since the lot is shared with other businesses. As for the store itself, it’s pretty small, a few spots for 2 people, one larger table for 4, a small bar-like table towards the back, and a couple seats against the wall where people wait for drinks. If you’re looking for a place to sit and study, this isn’t the best spot to do so, it can get quite noisy. During peak hours, the line is always out the door, BUT the service is pretty quick! It’s amazing how quickly they make the drinks despite the amount of orders. For drinks, I have a set list of drinks I get when I go here: -Strawberry black tea (80% or 50% sweetness) -Mango green tea (80% sweetness) -Mango milk tea (80% sweetness) -QQ Happy Family Milk Tea (80% or 50% sweetness) These never fail me and I just switch drinks depending on my mood. I love that with their milk teas, it isn’t overly milky or an overload of tea. The ratio is really good. I believe they use non-dairy milk (not powder, woohoo!) for their milk teas, but it’s best to ask in case. For their fruit teas, I always love how refreshing they are and aren’t head achingly sweet. The boba pearls are also great, not overly mushy/soft and also not super hard. I think I’ve only gotten a couple drinks where the boba was too hard, but very few times. It has been solid all the other times. Prices aren’t that bad! It’s about $5, give or take depending on what drink and the toppings. Their drinks all come in one size so the price does justify the amount you’re getting. Overall, Sharetea has great drinks that are consistent, with great quality and service! They also have stamp cards, so make sure to grab one if you’re a frequent boba drinker!

Cafe Makario – Menu with Prices – 2625 Colby Ave suite 2C, Everett

Exceeded my coffee shop experience! Small, dark, very well decorated, it was definitely worth a visit. Experience is even better when you have your two best friends with you! The owner was very meticulous about making cup taste to your expectation and looking beautiful! We ordered the flower latte, peppermint mocha, einspanner and a small order of waffles. The drinks were so dreamy! It was the perfect level of sweetness. The chocolate shavings on the einspanner is to die for! As for the flower latte, it was definitely a different order for me. It was my first time trying a flower latte, but I would definitely order it again. If you prefer a sweeter drink, I would suggest the peppermint mocha or einspanner because with you can definitely taste the espresso in the flower latte vs the sweetness, which I personally enjoy more!

Kung Fu Tea – Menu with Prices – 50 Frazier Ave Suite 200, Chattanooga

To start, I have always heard great things about Kung Fu Tea. Many of my friends make frequent trips to Atlanta in order to have their various teas and drinks. So when I heard that a location had opened here in Chattanooga, I knew I needed to try it! When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by two of the workers. They asked if I needed any help ordering or if I needed any suggestions. They were very friendly and accommodating with my order, since this was my first time trying milk tea. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with Bubbles and Less Sugar (70% of the normal amount). When I received my drink, I was very happy with my choice! The option of changing the sugar level within the drink was nice, since I prefer my teas to be less sweet. They range from No Sugar (0%) all the way to Extra (120%), so everyone should be able to find their desired sweetness level. In addition to the milk teas, they also have classic hot and iced teas, slushes, and fruity drinks. I believe that they also have plans to sell small snacks at some point. I will definitely be returning here to try more flavors of the milk tea and others drinks they have! Kung Fu Tea is a great addition to the North Shore lineup of restaurants and shops, and I HIGHLY suggest everyone come support this business!

The Potter’s House – Menu with Prices – 724 S National Ave, Springfield

I was here for the first time when a tornado warning activated in Greene County. Everyone went down to the basement and tried to distract ourselves. Two employees kept coming downstairs to give us updates. They even brought us battery powered lanterns incase the power went out. One of the men came down after a while with a tray of cookies, muffins, and brownies asking if anyone needed any comfort food. He also brought down two jugs of coffee. He let us just have whatever we wanted since we were all nervous and crowded together. He came back down to let us know we were all good when the tornado warning went down to just a tornado watch. I’m glad I was here when the storm hit. I will be back for sure. Thank you so much for such wonderful service.

Lucky Koi Bubble Tea – Menu with Prices – 3216 Main St, Buffalo

I love that there’s a bubble tea spot closer to where I live now! It’s a cute little spot located near UB South. The decor is modern, clean, and cute. Service is good and pricing is average. You can only order 1 size. You can pick from 4 different tea types: white, green, oolong, and black. Unfortunately there are no nondairy milk options ? hopefully in the future they can accommodate by adding coconut milk, almond milk, or soybean milk as an option. But for now, lactose intolerants have to get the fruit teas. I got a mangosteen fruit tea. Mangosteen is my favorite fruit so I had high expectations but unfortunately it did not meet it. The flavor was ok, didnt taste like it to me. Maybe because there wasn’t much flavor or syrup in it. It kinda tasted like it’s watered down. My husband got a taro coconut smoothie. He said flavor was good but the smoothie was not blended well. It was still icey/chunky. My friend got a mango dragon fruit smoothie and hers was probably the best tasting one! Perfect amount of sweetness. Also, the actual bobas were a bit chewy, they could have been cooked a little longer. But they had a great taste that most bobas normally don’t. It kinda tasted like sweet caramel! They definitely have potential so I’m looking forward to trying it again if they fix these little details. But they make all the difference between other cafes!

The Tea Haus – Menu with Prices – 130 King St, London

The Tea Haus or Tea House upstairs in the Covent Garden Market is a sweet little tea shop with lots to offer. If you are lucky enough to catch the limited edition jasmine tea balls they offer do so at least once because watching that flower bloom in your cup is amazing. They offer all sorts of varietals of teas and blends. All the standards are covered: Black, White, Green as well as Roobios. My fave black tea is the English Caramel with bits of hazelnut in the blend. It’s a bright cup of black with just enough sweetness to counter the bitter but not be overpoweringly sweet. They carry tons of accessories too like tea infusers for their loose leaf, stemware, pots, perfect cup spoon portions and my fave brand of local honey: Honey-Do out of Warwick Twp, On. At christmas time they rename my fave Roobios (Constant Comet most of the year) to Christmas Roobios and that it is, with the orange and cinnamon tones in it making you feel festive. There are teas for everyone and sitting down relaxing with a cup or taking home loose leaf to brew at home you are always treated with great service.

Tai Tea Anaheim Menu with Prices 9840 Katella Ave, Anaheim

I have been a fan of the Tai Tea franchise since I loved their milk tea and iced milk drinks at the other locations. When I saw they had a BOGO deal, I had to come check it out! However, I never knew someone can mess up on Jasmine Milk Tea so badly…. I am not sure if it was because of the promotion they had, hence they rushed or if it was because of the ingredients in general… Jasmine Milk Tea, half sweet, – it did not have any jasmine taste at all. It was also very bland and did not taste right at all. Not sure what made it taste like this, but i did not taste any jasmine green tea in the milk tea. Very disappointed in this drink since it is always my go-to drink for every store. Berry Lychee tea, half sweet – very little taste of strawberry and lychee. I think since I got half sweet, they lessened the syrup pumps they put in, resulting in a very bitter tea with little to no flavor Triple the trouble – this drink ended up being too sweet for me. The flavor was good though, but tasted just like syrup instead of something fresh and refreshing MangoNada- this was great. Good mango and chamoy flavor and consistency in the slush. WinterMelon milk tea – Did not taste any winter melon in this drink. It was very subtle and the milk tea itself did not taste right. Hong Kong Milk Tea Coffee – This drink was horrible honestly. I was expecting a very strong ceylon milk tea with a hint of coffee because I often drink this type of drink elsewhere and make it at home as well. But this was extremely bitter and did not taste any tea. They need to add more creamer or more tea because it tasted like straight-up black coffee with a splash of milk and sugar. I hope they improve their drinks. I had a very bad experience with my drinks. My family and I ended up throwing away all of our drinks half way because we were so unhappy with them. they did not taste right at all besides the Mangonada.

Sharetea Riverside – Menu with Prices – 10920 Magnolia Ave #103, Riverside

The Most Consistent Boba, Friendly Staff, Clean Place I am new to Riverside and have only been here for a few months. I moved here from OC where there are tons of good boba places and was looking for a good boba spot in Riverside, thank God I came across this place! The first time I came to Sharetea, I tried their Matcha w/ fresh milk with boba. It did not disappoint. Their matcha was good quality and mixed in well throughout the drink. Boba was the perfect consistency, not too firm or soft, with a good amount of sweetness. I also love how you can customize the amount of sweetness (and ice) in each drink! I could not just visit this place once, came here for three consecutive days! Staff is friendly and answers my questions if I want to try something new. (I tried their milk tea which is also great, but my favorite is matcha.) What’s the most impressive is that each and every time, their boba was so consistent! They have got their boba making skills down to a science. You can tell it’s calculated. They make it with just the right amount of sweetness and cook it for just the right amount of time on the daily, even when it’s different staff working. Taste is always consistent. Look no further for the perfect boba spot! Definitely, recommend! If you enjoy this place and will be going often, do get a stamp card though. I did not find this out until my fourth visit!!!! Lol.

The Crab Station – Arlington Menu with Prices 1101 E Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington

This location had horrible food. We got a sack 5, octopus, cajun fries, rice, 2 kids meal chicken strip baskets, and 2 bread puddings. We assumed the food would be just as good as the Dallas location but sadly we were mistaken. The octopus came out and it was lukewarm and super rubbery. The shrimps, crawfish, crab, corn, and potatoes that came in sack #5 were all lukewarm as well. In addition to the food coming out lukewarm the seasonings tasted horrible. Everything that came in sack #5 was hard to get out of the shell like it had either been sitting there in the warm water or it was overcooked or hell it could’ve even been microwaved. The bread pudding was horrible! I took one bite and put it down. It just tasted BAD. The chef either wasn’t there and they were just bringing out food that was sitting there or the chef just didn’t know what they were doing. Our server Mary was nice but for a sever to be good they need to be more than just nice. They need to be able to be nice and make sure they bring out fresh high quality food. I get we came an hour before close and maybe we should’ve came earlier but, we’ve came an hour before close at the Dallas location and the food was still spectacular there. Why would it not be the same quality when it’s the same restaurant just different location? Idk what they did to our food but we got sick for 2 days straight after eating that food. And we couldn’t even eat it all because it was so bad so who knows how sick we would’ve been if we tried to eat all of it. Shame on y’all Crab Station Arlington. There needs to be some re-training happening ASAP. Re-train both the servers and the cooks. Im extremely disappointed with our experience at this location.

Kung Fu Tea – Menu with Prices – 2067 N Central Expy Suite 100, Richardson

Kung Fu Tea One of my favorite Boba chains and has locations all over the US. My favorite drinks from KFT are the milk teas. The Milk Teas at KFT are my favorite because of how creamy and rich the milk tea is compared to other Boba shop chains. The inside of the place is clean and looks nice but tables can be dirty like any other boba shop. The staff can make common mistakes just like any other boba shops. Another thing is their attention to your sugar preference. Sometimes I can order 50% sweetness but it’s still really sweet at KFT. This goes for every single boba shop out their is their attention to your sugar preference that you order. The same thing applies when you ask for less ice at KFT and all boba shops can give you normal ice amount. I’ve been to many boba chains and my favorite boba chain is ShareTea for its generous serving of boba and you get a larger size for the same price as a small size at KFT. The tea creaminess of the milk tea at ShareTea is more subtle then KFT. So it’s all a matter of your preference if you want more tea and stronger tea flavor go to ShareTea if you like your tea creamy but get less tea go to Kung Fu Tea. Another thing I don’t like about KFT is that they use a lot of powder flavoring for fruit drinks like taro. My favorite drink at KFT is oolong milk tea with boba because it’s creamy and rich flavor and a nutty taste. Drinks I recommend ordering are the Matcha red bean slush, oolong milk tea, and Kung fu tea. KFT also has an app to earn rewards and points every time you buy.

Stemma Brewing Company Menu with Prices 2039 Moore St, Bellingham

So I’m going to be honest here: I am a wussy IPA drinker. I don’t like bitter beers that taste like you’re chewing the hops flower, and I definitely don’t like ones that have the faint taste of cannabis. Unfortunately for me, that 3/5 of the beers on tap, but if you love really strong and bitter IPAs, this place is for you. It’s not my thing, but people love them, and they apparently do them well. That being said, the amber is deeeeelish and I really enjoyed the nitro milk stout. And when the two of them got knocked over and too hot to drink, they generously refilled the soiled beer. The space is big and open, and there are a few tables to sit outside in the parking lot. There is a bit of parking, but I could guess that it’s going to be crowded, because it’s a really nice place to just hang out. Service was friendly, and while it was a fairly older crowd on day 3, I’m sure it will be a hopping place sooner or later. Get in to try the beer as soon as you can!

Irashiai Sushi Pub Japanese – Menu with Prices – 115 Pelham Rd #26, Greenville

I love the sushi and appetizers here. They have happy hour from 5-7pm Mon-Thur. And they are open for lunch Sunday-Friday. Update (6/16/19): The rolls here are super thickkk and filling. Honestly would be really stuff with just an appetizer and a roll. I’ve tried a number of things from the menu. I like their salad dressing. It’s like a ginger vinaigrette. The tornado cucumber is really refreshing and you have a choice of what protein you want for it. The tornado cucumber is like a veggie salad slash sushi roll where everything is wrapped with cucumber instead of rice. I usually go for a salmon tornado cucumber. There’s a vinaigrette sauce that is poured on it and it’s really tasty and evicts the blandness of the cucumber and veggies of the dish. My favorite roll is the lucky cat. Their crab fingers are good so but gets tiring really quick. Their string beans age are pretty good but I think it would be better if it was tempura instead of just battered (kind of like a fried okra). Their sashimi is hit or miss. It doesn’t always taste fresh.
