I’ve been going to this place since it was called Dragon BBQ. After the name change, I figured that they actually added dim sum to their menu (although I haven’t yet tried their dim sum). This place is a tiny restaurant with only 3 tables inside and most of the people come here buying food to go. This place is my favorite place to get Salted fish & chicken fried rice when I’m having potluck. The salted fish are plenty and I could actually taste bits of the fish – unlike in other places where they only give you few pieces of salted fish. It is not greasy and not fishy. However, one time I tried to order via telephone and they quoted me a significantly more expensive price for the medium party tray. They said the medium tray was $35 but in fact, the menu list at the restaurant showed it is $29! I’m glad that I went at the restaurant and ordered it right there instead via telephone. i tried their 2 items combo with beef chow fun, sesame chicken, and eggplant with garlic sauce. Overall, the food was good (not too greasy and not too salty) but the sesame chicken was a bit too sweet for my taste. The best was the sesame balls! For $1, you’ll get 5 little sesame balls filled with sweet ground mung bean that are super delicious! You have to get this snack!!! Parking can be hard to find since it’s located in a small strip mall along with other restaurants and some after school activities. The worst time was around 3-4pm on weekday when all the parents pick up their kids from the next door place and you’ll have to circle several times to get a spot.

Fuzhou Anping Fish Ball – Menu with Prices – 20 Henry St, New York

We decided to try the store’s specialty: Fuzhou fish balls. The owner talks loud, and if you’re not familiar with him, and question the quality of the fish balls, he’s not willing to be the one to convincing you to try his fish balls. That’s what happened to us. But they were really good! They’re not perfectly round, so you could tell they’re handmade. Went back again to buy more for the freezer, and learned that they only use fresh mackerel! They’re a very hole-in-the-wall store, but tasty and clean. This is now our go-to for Fuzhou fish balls.

Fusion Tea Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1806 E Southern Ave, Tempe

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out after I read my friend Joyce’s review and I was excited when I saw the picture of the Sesame Balls because it’s my childhood snack that my mom used to buy for me back home when I was little. The place is clean and spacious but you have to order the food at the counter, not on the table. The employees are so friendly and nice! We ordered Finger Lickers, Rolling Avo, DC Ramlet Battered Wings, Sesame Balls, Mango boba tea and my bf did ask if they could mix the flavor, and he asked for Mango&Peach boba tea. – Finger Lickers, this is so good! They gave us sweet & sour sauce and I enjoyed every bite of this popcorn chicken, so delicious! – Rolling Avo, they also gave a special sauce for this. I don’t know how to feel about this one, I don’t hate it but I don’t like it lol, it’s basically what it says, avocados in tortilla and they fried it. But my bf enjoyed it though. – DC Ramlet Battered Wings, the batter is absolutely delicious but when I went in to the meat part, it was bland. They have to find a way to marinate/seasoned the wings and it’d be a perfect menu! I keep saying this, everyone has different taste buds, and to me, I love it when the chicken has some flavor to it as well, not just the outside part, I hope it makes sense! But we ate this with ranch so it was still good! – Sesame Balls. Oh hello, childhood. The only difference is, back home we use Mung Bean filling instead of black sesame filling. I still love it regardless! – Mango boba tea. Say no more, LOVE IT!!! – Mango & Peach boba tea. My bf tried it and he said it’s weird that it tasted more like Coconut instead of mango or peach. He didn’t want to bother them so he didn’t say a thing. And before we left, the guy asked us how was everything? Did you guys enjoy it? We finally told him about this drink, my bf didn’t lie because I tried it as well and I could also taste coconut and he made another one for us! And the new one, it tasted definitely a combination of mango & peach, thank you so much! We really appreciate it! I can see myself coming back for the finger lickers and their boba tea so yes, until next time!

Ichiban Sushi – Menu with Prices – 4401 NW 25 Pl, Gainesville

First, very, very, limited selection of fresh fish. The only real fish there was yellowtail, salmon, tuna, and a mysterious fish. I asked them what it was they said â??itâ??s white fishâ? uh, OK Iâ??ll pass on that one. Got the usual three.Salad w/ shaved carrot on top. Not the ginger dressing one expects, maybe they just poured corn syrup on top? So I sent it back and they brought seaweed salad instead… same corn syrup â??dressingâ? I didnâ??t taste any soy sauce or sesame oil, and missed the sesame seeds sprinkled on top. It was so sweet I couldnâ??t get seaweed flavor out of it, just that texture in my mouth. Finally comes my tempura. Two points: tempura sauce soooo miserably sweet it lacks any other point of flavor. I added 1/3 a bottle of soy sauce to try to save it but it was still so sweet. So I just decided to give up on that and just dipped it in pure Soy Sauce. I would recommend to the chef to change the fry oil. It tasted like old French fry oil and smelled like it to. So I couldnâ??t taste the shrimp. There was a pool of oil under the The tempura. So, I would recommend draining well in the basket and then tossing the tempura on paper towels to soak up the oil before sending the dish out to your guests.My bill was $30 (and I chose the Lunch Special.)

Thank U Chicken – Menu with Prices – 3473 Old Norcross Rd, Duluth

Thank U Chicken has a cool vibe with all the blue lighting, and it feels very intimate. Although there’s lots of vibrant chatter, you can still hear the people you’re with. Service is great, and they have a button on the side that you press to call your server with. If you order a lot, they bring out dishes periodically so it doesn’t feel like you’re waiting forever. We ordered the half fried chicken and half yang nyum chicken platter, which comes with four seasonal sides and a salad. I also ordered beef rice balls and a pineapple fresh fruit juice. The platter is a bit expensive, but it comes with a lot and is filling for two people. The four seasonal sides and salad came out first. This included fried gizzards, potatoes, cheese corn, and chips and salsa. The gizzards were good but oily. I liked the seasoning, but it was heavy. The corn was okay; we’ve had better cheese corn. The cheese was a little watery. The potatoes were good; I liked the sauce on top, which reminded me of sriracha mayo. The chips and salsa didn’t really stand out; they were also okay. The chips weren’t too salted and the salsa was watery, but hey, this is a Korean restaurant! The salad tasted like a regular Caesar salad. Honestly, I wouldn’t get the platter again, since it just comes with the sides and salad. The few times I’ve been, the beef rice balls haven’t been cooked consistently. Sometimes they come out piping hot, sometimes lukewarm, and sometimes cold. I think they taste AMAZING when they’re piping hot. The rice is moist, but there’s only a slight flavor to these. I like the subtlety of the rice balls. The chicken here is very meaty! I’m not a huge fan of yang nyum chicken, so I always eat my boyfriend eat most of it. It’s mostly sweet and slightly tangy, though you can argue it’s a TINY bit spicy. I prefer to dip my chicken in the sauces they provide, so I like the fried chicken, which isn’t seasoned on its own. I think the Korean fried chicken here is unique in that you HAVE to dip the chicken in sauce for it to have flavor. If you like pre-seasoned and marinated chicken, go somewhere else for KFC or just order yang nyum. The chicken isn’t that crunchy, but it’s super hot and juicy on the inside. They’ve given me three sauces in the past: the yang nyum sauce, a sriracha mayo, and a sweet soy sauce. My favorite is the sriracha mayo! The pineapple fresh juice comes in a cute cup, and it’s not too sweet. It’s made with real pineapple, which is nice. No fruit chunks, and it’s kind of foamy. Thank U Chicken is a fine place for KFC, but now that so many shops have opened up, I prefer to go elsewhere for the price point and flavor.

Metro Noodle and Boba – Menu with Prices – 635 N Main St, Corona

I ordered a few menu items to go. My buddy was visiting from long beach. He was craving asian food so i heard about metro noodle so have been wanting to try it. Ordered hanain.chicken. grilled pork spring rolls. Stirfried rice noodles and beef. And fried fish balls. Honestly all the food was horrible.the chicken tasted old and dry. The noodles the same. Rubbery and stale while the beef tasted almost recooked and leathery. The fish balls were ok. We got a few in the order i suppose. But the worst was the spring roll. I opened the plastic wrap to find the top of the spring roll was hard and i took the spring roll out and both bottoms were completely ripped open. Its obvious the spring roll is a day old from this. Im embarassed for the restaurant that would even serve this. I trued to take a bite. I made my own sauce. The sauce they served with it was straight from the bottle of fish sauce. In edible. The spring roll had lettuce. Rice noodle and a repeat of old grilled pork. No herbs..nothing. Obviously i wont be returning. I just wanted this to grt back to the owners of the restaurant. Truly disappointed because its so close to home and read good reviews

Cambodian Town Food and Music – Menu with Prices – 3240 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I’d give it more of a 3.5/5 stars. Some dishes hit the spot, while others just hit the mark. My mom definitely favors this place for Cambodian food though. The dishes that I enjoy here is the fried salmon belly with the two different sauces. One is a tamarind sauce, while the other is a sweet fish sauce. This dish is served and meant to be eaten with a lot of vegetables. And we never skip that. The next dish I enjoy here is their banh cheo (yellow pancake/ crepe) whatever people want to call it. lol I always order it without bean sprouts and I love it. There is also a Vietnamese Version of this, however; I think it’s too oily and greasy. The Cambodian way is a lot less greasy. This I also eat with the sweet fish sauce. I also like their beef with the anchovies sauce/ thuk parhok. The steak is prepared medium cooked and eaten with veggies and the sauce. The sauce isn’t for everyone, a lot of my non-Cambodian friends refer to it as the stinky sauce. But it’s delicious and worth a try. It’s definitely a staple to the Cambodian culture. Other dishes that get honorable mentions is the beef jerky. I think the cuts are too thick and dry, however; eating it with the vinegar sauce that it comes with it makes a whole difference. The beef sticks are not as moist as I like but eating it with the pickled veggies makes the flavors come together. The salaw machou youn (sweet & sour Vietnamese soup) is a hit or miss. They put bean sprouts in it which I don’t like, but the broth itself has a great balance between the sweet and sour. This place isn’t my top choice compared to all the other Cambodian restaurants in the city, but it’ll suffice when you’re hungry.

Lemongrass Hotpot – Menu with Prices – 5450 S State Rd 7, Hollywood

Bright, clean and tasty! We met up with friends who are regulars at Lemongrass and I’m so glad we had people to walk us through the process. General directions: 1) Choose your soup – they offer 8 different soups to cook your noodles, veggies, protein, etc. in at the table. My friend recommended the Taiwanese hot & spicy. You can ask for it in medium or hot. All of the soups start out as the Signature base and they add stuff to it to make it the other flavors. I went with the Tom kha and it was pretty good but I’m not sure if it was the Tom kha I was expecting. A couple other people at our table got the Seafood. 2) On the paper menu, write down the serving quantity of noodles, seafood, veggies, tofu varieties, etc. that you want. There’s a huge variety to choose from and you can always ask for more later. You can reference the keyed picture menu. 3) Create your own sauce at the sauce bar- you can mix soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, chili paste, ginger, cilantro, garlic and a bunch of other condiments together to suit your taste. I dipped the fish balls and fish in my sauce bowl but I guess you could also throw some directly into the boiling soup. 4) Grab a plate of meat from the meat freezer. Can go back for more. I was impressed how many times some people went back. 5) Once your soup arrives, the control is at the side of the table and can be cranked to P5 to make it boil. Back it down to P2 or P3 for a simmer. 6) The rest is pretty experimental and I started throwing stuff into the soup to cook. I forgot about my soba noodles and they got over cooked and limpy on me but other than that, I think everything else came out ok. Our server checked up on us multiple times throughout the night to see if we needed any more items and refilled the soup when it was low. Save room for dessert. Dinner took about 2.5 hours so it’s probably not the best place if you’re in a hurry. I think I was most impressed by the sheer variety of things that you could try. Almost forgot – The lemongrass tea is amazing! It’s slightly sweet and comes out cold.

Sugami Hibachi Express Menu with Prices 15434 E Mississippi Ave, Aurora

This place is terrible and it saddens me because it’s walking distance from my home. I walked over to order my dinner and at that time no other customers were in the restaurant. The owner? a nice gentleman immediately got up and greeted me . I checked the menu and gave him my order. I paid his wife? and asked if I could please have a glass of ice water while I waited . I don’t think the gentleman really understood me, his wife jumped in and said no water, I would have to buy a bottle of water. I explained that I just wanted a plain glass of ice water while my food was being prepared . She pointed to the glasses and said no I could not have any ice water while I waited . I would have walked out then had I not already paid. It was 80 some degrees outside and I just wanted a drink of water yet she was insistent that I buy bottled water. I mean really? I ordered 2 egg rolls and sesame chicken and walked back home to eat my dinner and have a glass of ice water! The sesame chicken could have been sweet and sour ckn with a few sesame seeds on it. The egg rolls were frozen I believe. Bottom line …….I will NEVER return here .

Racha Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 805 N Battlefield Blvd #117, Chesapeake

I enjoyed my experience here. I was craving a whole fried fish with tamarind sauce and they obliged. (I had a favorite dish from a Thai restaurant in NY when I lived there and this was the closest I could get to that dish.) It was a large portion of whole tilapia fish with the sauce that was tasty and had just a little spice. I ordered it with white rice. (I actually think I should have ordered it a bit more spicy, but the sauce was still sweet and had great flavor.) The restaurant is medium-sized and it wasn’t crowded the Sunday I visited. The waitress was polite and prompt. The atmosphere is casual and the location is near one of my favorite Caribbean restaurants, Cutlass Grille. I was hard-pressed to find whole fish (it just doesn’t seem to be popular in Hampton Roads, and I like my fish cooked whole with the head) but after searching online, I found Racha. I have yet to try their other Thai dishes but will surely be back.

Boiled Skewer – Menu with Prices – 2180 Pleasant Hill Rd B3, Duluth

I really like Boiled Skewer. This is a Chinese hot pot restaurant that offers a plethora of skewers (various meats, animal parts, vegetables, noodles, and more) for only 50 cents a skewer. The ingredients are fresh and of decent to good quality for what you pay, making this place an excellent value, not to mention a fun experience (assuming you’re a fan of cook-it-yourself hot pot). The restaurant opened September 2016 and is one of three hot pot restaurants at GW Marketplace (Sweet Hut Duluth shopping center); the other two hot pot restaurants being 89 Hot Pot (traditional Chinese) and Pop Pot (Taiwanese). At the time of writing this review, there are about five other hot pot restaurants, mostly Korean, within an approximate half-mile radius. I think this makes 2180 Pleasant Hill Rd in Duluth the de facto hot pot center of metro Atlanta. Boiled Skewer differentiates itself from the competition by offering a self-serve smorgasbord of kabobs or skewered items which you cook yourself inside a hot pot at your table. Electric flattop stoves are installed at every table. Each table seats four. One table shares a large communal hot pot as opposed to there being an individual hot pot for each customer. Split hot pots are available if a table wants to order two soup broths instead of one. Soup options include classic spicy, double flavor, original bone, mushroom flavor, and seafood flavor. Soups cost about $4-6 each, but are free at lunchtime (12-3pm, daily) and free at dinnertime if you spend at least $25. Extra spicy soup costs a dollar extra. I’ve tried the classic spicy and double flavor and like both, though I prefer classic spicy. Both are seasoned well with the double flavor having a milky white broth and the classic spicy having a red oily broth. Unlike other hot pot places like J’s Mini Hot Pot or 89 Hot Pot, Boiled Skewer premixes sauces for you. Sauce options include classic peanut sauce, sesame paste sauce, sesame oil sauce, oyster peanut sauce, and original sesame paste. Sauces are included with your meal and you can ask for as many as you want. I’ve tried them all and think they’re all pretty good. My favorite is the sesame oil sauce. By default, all sauces come with chopped cilantro. Plates of sliced raw meat are ordered off the menu for about $5-6 a plate. They have beef, lamb, pork, and chicken. I recommend ordering at least one plate of meat for every two people. Other menu items include Chinese bread, dumplings, fried pumpkin pancake (tasty and suggested), and fried chicken nuggets. These are mostly $2-5 an order. Boiled Skewer’s claim to fame are its three double-door refrigerators featuring a wide assortment of self-serve skewered items as well as bowls and plates of food, all meant to be cooked in your hot pot. Put on a pair of restaurant-supplied food prep gloves and go to town. Big Big Dumpling – Menu with Prices – 133-35 Roosevelt Ave #9, Flushing

Big Big Dumpling resides inside the New York Food Court and they are too big for their surroundings. They had to name it twice as ?BIG?BIG! The amount of dumplings they crank out by hand everyday belies their little food stall. For a meager amount of your wallet cabbage, you can be loaded up to the tune of 16 of the boiled pork and cabbage pockets for a mere $6.99 for the large box. I know I can’t finish that many in one sitting so I’ll get a couple of different combos to share if I can. If you’re by yourself and can’t really handle a large box, a couple of dollars less will get you a medium box. They are still great resteamed or microwaved the next day, so don’t worry about wasting. Combinations of fish, pork, shrimp, cabbage, fennel, chives or plain veggie are matched on the menu, so choose your preference. I’m willing to bet if you want a custom mix of filling and willing to buy say 50+, they will accommodate you. As I’m waiting for my order, I love watching the ladies rolling out the dough balls, stuffing them with meat and pinching them closed in the span of about 10 seconds each. Most types are boiled, but can be pan-fried for more of a flavor pop. Mix the soy dipping sauce with some hot sauce and the flavor really explodes. Other menu items such as the sesame and cucumber noodles are not bad, but I’ve had better, though not cheaper. The dumplings are what’s happening here.

Thai Valley – Menu with Prices – 4600 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago

I am so confused as to why this place dont got one star as average rating.. this is some of the WORSE food (not only thai but all cuisines) I ever tasted and honey, mama know good food. I got some pad thai and some tempura and honey… the flavor no where to be found even the flavor been ran away from this sad excuse for a restaurant. The tempura was soggy and greasy and you can tell its not even a proper tempura batter (Mama love some tempura dont mess w me okay) and the pad thai… oh lord have mercy. They shoulda called it pad die bc it stank, looked, and tasted more bland than a unbaked Popeye biscuit. Them noodles actually stank yall. I just know a raw biscuit woulda tasted better than that meal from this place. Anyone who says this food is good is playing you and themselves and had their taste buds burnt off by some pad die. Not to mention their prices are taxed, it was over 20 dollars for my meal, how theyre able to afford their rent is a blessing and a curse. Do not eat here and go to any of the thai places on Western ave, I know youll be eating better. This place got nothing on Sticky Rice!!! This place does not serve food its inedible mess please do the neighborhood a favor and just close baby make room for some good cooking!!
