This place was absolutely amazing! Needed a quick lunch on the way through Bend to hike and this place had so many healthy, delicious, and vegetarian options! We came around noon and there was a good number of people there eating in and taking out. The interior is very cute and you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Service was friendly and SUPER quick. I think our food came out in less than 10 minutes which was great because we were starving. The food was so so so good. The eggs in my huevos rancheros were cooked to perfection and the side of potatoes with carrots were the perfect compliment. My friend loved the wholesome bowl and the house-made OG sauce they used was delicious plus the ingredients were incredibly fresh. They also have gelato that looks so delicious and a separate bar for drinks. Plus you can pick up organic foods like eggs, milk, and other drinks there as well! Also plus that their takeout utensils are biodegradable! Please please please come to Portland!

Noodle Head – Menu with Prices – 880 E 13th Ave, Eugene

This is my go-to lunch spot when I’m on campus! Super quick, cheap, and YUMMY. Noodle Head offers noodle bowls, rice bowls, soups, and plenty of veggie-based options. My favorite is the chicken yakisoba. The sauce is delicious, and it comes with water chestnuts, carrots, bok choy, and crushed cashews. The variety of flavors and textures go together wonderfully, and the chicken is always tender. I also enjoy the karee kai, which is a rice bowl with yellow coconut curry and potatoes, carrots, and onions. The curry is wonderful. I usually have to avoid the spicier foods, but this curry is a solid medium and it’s just right for me. It’s rich and thick, with that sweet and savory flavor combo that I’m crazy about. I’ve also ordered the pad thai, and I haven’t been quite as pleased with it. Eugene has plenty of great Thai restaurants, and I’ve had better pad thai at some of the more upper scale, sit down places. The pad thai here is decent, but I could taste ketchup in the sauce, which isn’t how I prefer my pad thai. It was lacking in the peanut-y flavor. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to all U of O students! It’s quick and casual, and in my opinion has the best food around campus. Perfect for a quick break between study sessions at the Knight Library. ?

Clean Juice – Menu with Prices – 300 N Front St, Wilmington

I was with my friend Angela trying to find some healthy places in downtown Wilmington for our weekly get together. I wish we never stopped in this establishment. I got a Green 14 bowl and a juice in the fridge. There was a girl that took my order and she was very short with me when she took me and my friends order. When they were making my Green 14 bowl she wore no gloves until she had to touch the eggs to put them on my bowl. When I looked over the glass there was nasty brown stuff on the eggs, so I told her I did not want eggs on my Green 14 bowl. There were fruit flies EVERYWHERE and flies touching the produce. I will NEVER step foot in this place again and I recommend that to everyone. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, do better.

FOD Poke Bar Menu with Prices 10 N Calvert St, Baltimore

Poke places seem to be popping up everywhere. I chose the House Special which had shrimp, salmon, yellow tail, rice, kale, edamame, kale, avocado, cucumber and crunchy noodles. The combination was great and the sauce was delicious. However, there definitely was not enough sauce. About halfway through the bowl, it was rather dry and lacking some flavor. I didn’t even finish it which was rather frustrating for spending $14 for lunch. I would go back to try a different bowl, maybe a spicier one. Perhaps I would ask for my sauce next time! Otherwise, the service was friendly and the ingredients seemed fresh!

Marlins Brewhouse – Menu with Prices – 5611 Six Mile Commercial Ct suite 4, Fort Myers

We stopped by Marlins/Chronic Tacos today. Loved everything about it. Nice beer selection as well as a full bar. We shared the pretzel stuffed with their house-made cheese sauce and it was fantastic. Then we shared the potato skins – also house-made and delicious. Unlike any potato skins you’ve had. We were skeptical about the use of Swiss cheese rather than the traditional cheddar, but it was perfect. If I could make recommendation it would be to serve the potato skins on a platter rather than in a bowl. While the food and drinks were fantastic the best part of our experience was the staff. We had two servers and both were friendly and engaging. It was clear that they enjoy working there. We forgot to take photos of our delicious food but we did take a photo of the Black and Tans we ordered. They poured them so that it looked like there must be a plate of glass between the black and the tan. Amazing.

Umami Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 4045 W Garden Grove Blvd, Orange

Absolutely love this “mom and pop shop” This is my second time visiting here and a first for my dad. My first visit here, I got a shrimp bowl which was amazing! Perfect sized bowls that adequately satisfy your lunch hunger. You get a choice of brown or white rice and cabbage, broccoli and carrots for the veggies. The shrimp are plump, juicy and pop right out the tail! Umami offers a small variety of hot sauces and a teriyaki sauce that might be their own. It’s unique to others I’ve tasted. The second time I ordered, I got the same bowl as the former plus a chicken bowl which my dad and I split. The char on the chicken was freaking amazing!!!! Crispy yet juicy and tender plus the salty sour of the teriyaki makes for a perfect ‘yaki bowl! Hopefully my dad will return as I’ve been trying to get him to eat healthier, but I know I will be a returning customer, and letting all my coworkers know about this little gem so close to the office!

Couscous House – Menu with Prices – 1611 Morse Rd, Columbus

After much anticipation, Couscous House has finally opened. It’s located in a new strip on Morse Road near Karl. The restaurant is Chipotle style, which means you go through a line where you select your bowl size, and toppings. There are several grains to choose from: rice, couscous, whole wheat couscous, etc. From there you select chicken, steak or drums. The toppings are where things get really interesting and tasty. I loved the selection of steamed carrots, cabbage, zucchini, squash, caramelized onion, potatoes, etc. They top that off with a flavorful broth of your choice. The next stop is cold veggies and sauces. We sampled the Moroccan tea. It was really good, so of course we had to purchase a few cups. They also have soft drinks and homemade cookies. The restaurant is super clean and the people working there were very friendly. We all ordered the chicken bowl and enjoyed the flavors. I only gave it a four because i think the meat servings were a little small, but I was full and satisfied after eating my bowl. I’m happy to have this in my area, and plan to return.

Kim’s Pho Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 5490 Derry St B, Harrisburg

I visited here with a friend for lunch during the week. We arrived around 11:30 to miss the lunch rush. The place appears very clean and bright with lots of seating. We were able to get a close parking spot, but I can see how parking could become an issue as it is a cramped lot. I ordered the thinly sliced beef and brisket Pho. It was in beef broth and it was soooo good! The beef was very tender, (more tender than another Pho establishment I frequent) and the ingredients were very fresh. I was also not disappointed on the amount of beef and noodles that was in my bowl. This place is very quick and you can be in and out in a breeze. I think from the time we ordered til our food was brought out may have been a little over 5 minutes. Service was quick and drinks were refilled in a timely manner. I will definitely return!

Gatherings Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1530 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis

I love Gatherings Cafe! I have had both their catering and their in house menu. I crave their bison veggie soup in the winter. It’s the perfect to side to any of their amazing sandwiches. Their bison melt is truly something to write home about – a perfectly toasted whole grain bread, topped with the most tender, perfectly seasoned, slow braised bison, a melty cheese and then a mouthwatering blueberry horseradish sauce. The sauce isn’t overpowering, but the perfect compliment to the cheese and bison. The sandwich is HUGE – if you’re ordering a salad or soup, consider sharing. And its only $8.50.

The Health Factory – Menu with Prices – 2900 Alcoa Hwy, Knoxville

My family is doing Whole30 and we were visiting a friend at UT hospital and were wondering how in the world we would feed ourselves while in Knoxville. Serendipitously, we found the Paleo Foods Cafe, which is only a couple of miles from the hospital. Everything on the menu looked amazing, but I decided on the avocado/egg/bacon sandwich and my 11 year old got the taco salad. Both were excellently prepared with fresh tasting ingredients and perfect seasoning. We both loved the chipotle sauce, the waffles were a surprisingly good bread sub (so good that we bought the mix), and the smoothies (I know not technically whole30…) we’re also delicious. I would have loved to have tried the coffee, but it was too late. We got a smoked salmon blt for my husband to go and a smoothie for the patient we were visiting (which she loved). We felt so good after eating there and were so excited to find a whole30 compliant meal on the road. I’d love to go back when we’re finished with whole30 and try the donuts and cupcakes. They looked delicious.

Black Pearl Asian Fusion Menu with Prices 1317 W Bakerview Rd, Bellingham

This place honestly has a great selection of Thai food, Vietnamese food and even a selection of Teriyaki to choose from. I ordered a thai iced tea to go with one of the Teriyaki Dragon Noodle Bowls and a Pot sticker with Pork Vermicelli. The iced tea was huge and super delicious. It was refreshing and I sipped on it while waiting for my food. The food took a bit, but that is because he was working by himself. He apologized to another customer as he said his cook called in sick. The food was delicious, the Pork Vermicelli had a great dressing and the Pork was fresh and tasty. I only got one potsticker with the bowl, but it was a good addition. The bowl was full of traditional asian veggies like bean sprouts, cilantro, diced carrots, and cucumbers. One complaint is that both of the bowls I ordered had iceberg/sandwich type lettuce in there which I would like to not see as it did not compliment the other elements in the bowls I ordered. The Teriaki Dragon Noodle Bowl was recommended to me by the owner. It was very good and I loved everything about it, minus the iceberg type lettuce that should not be in there in my opinion, and that ir was not that spicy. I ordered a spice level of 4 but maybe should have gone for a 5 because I didn’t taste any spice. Overall, this place is clean, comfortable, and the owner does a great job of offering unique and delicious meals, made to order. This place seems to have bad reviews strictly because of claims that the service isn’t all that great, and I can see why, because when only one person is manning the whole restaurant, it can be very hard to keep up with the rush of lunch hour. I give this place 5 stars because I believe I would eat here again, and again.

Sahuaro’s Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 2828 S Country Club Dr, Mesa

Lived here 25 years. This is, without question, the best fish taco I’ve found so far. You have to be patient for all the food (meaning 10 minutes) as it’s all made fresh, slowly and lovingly. I’ve only had the fish and al pastor tacos, but I can say that more ingredients do not a better taco make! The fish tacos are crispy, fresh, tender inside, juicy, the most flavorful I’ve ever had, with freshly cut cabbage and a light sauce. Their green sauce is an excellent compliment (as is Tapatillo – the only bottled sauce they carry, which itself attests to their gustatory excellence). My friends had Mexican scrambled eggs and huevos rancheros – the huevos were also the best I’ve ever had, excellent eggs, and their potatoes could be a meal in themselves. Outstanding fresh maiz tortillas, and, truly, if they didn’t close so early, I’d eat dinner there all of the time. The condiments bar is clean, as is the entire restaurant. Also, you can get your car washed while you eat, or a haircut, keys made, all in the same locale, Lastly – sorry if I offend any women, but I’m a guy, and I love women – you can eat while you watch the lovely women in bikinis taking orders 50 feet away at Bikini Beans Coffee!! ?

Rachael?s Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 3416 82nd St, Lubbock

Needed a sit down breakfast stop before my husband and I hit the road back home! Looked on maps and this place popped up! It’s printed an adorable color on the inside and out and I really appreciated all of the Americana decor inside! They also showed signs of support for local cheer teams which I always like to see in a community. We were immediately greeted upon entering and instructed to seat ourselves. We sat near the check out and I noticed that it was a really clean little spot- the entire restaurant! We were handed menus by a little boy and were then greeted by our waitress and asked for our drink orders! Drinks came back quick and a different waitress took our food order. I ordered the Migas and my husband ordered the huevos rancheros with sunny side up eggs! The migas came out a bit cold but the beans and hash browns were really hot and didn’t need salt which I loved My husband also remarked that the eggs were super fresh! He also really like the pancakes! The service was quick for things like straws, hot sauce and to go cups even! A nice spot to have a quick breakfast at a reasonable price! If I ever come back to Lubbock, I’d check this place out again!
