Am I seriously missing a review for this place ?!?! They offer all the great vegan options your other stores offer and so much more. There is a “healthy” chain store that recently was bought by an internet giant who will not be named, for years there vegan and gluten free goodies have gone down in quality. I was so upset that I couldn’t find amazing vegan yummies anymore until I came. Frustrated by the vegan selections at other stores? come here! concerned about where your vegan dollars are being spent? come here ! I like that I feel good abut myself after I’ve come here. The serves is always friendly, kind and trusting. I’ve never felt watched or uncomfortable by the staff, wich is big for a woman of color who is getting older and shocked that even my grey hair doesn’t earn me the respect of being trusted in some stores. The staff always has answers to questions or are supper helpful, like when I want to order a case of something through them. My latest find is the amies vegan and gluten free lasagna!!!! yum yum yum ! I could eat this every night. No other store I frequent has it. They often have vegan food pop ups on the weekend, though I wish they had a gluten free pop up ( they often don’t even offer a gf option at these pop ups ) The serves here is awesome and they’re always suprising me with what they ofer. If you’re looking for a more ethical way to spend your vegan and non vegan dollars come here! And try there raw chocolate almonds !!!!! It’s the best. Side note they’re the only place that used to sell locally made temph, I would buy 10 at a time It’s on hold for now but, I’m always bummed by bg chai temph and soy products so, it’s cool that this place is like a unicon finder.

Jersey Mike’s Subs – Menu with Prices – 15901 Antioch Rd, Overland Park

I have been here several times since they opened, mostly because I have one kid that is obsessed with it. He has nothing on his sandwich except ham, provolone, and pickles, but I’m pretty sure he could eat it daily. So there must be something about it that he really digs. I will say, the service is really quick, staff is always very friendly, and they have a punchcard to reward me for my loyalty, which is always a huge plus. And, they offer gluten-free bread, which is a huge bonus. They also carefully prepare gluten-free items in a separate area, which for some people is very important. They do charge extra for the gluten-free bread, which if you get the half sub, will get you about a $9 or $10 sandwich, which seems a little pricey to me but I guess if you’re gluten-free, you’re used to that anyway. If you’re not gluten-free, don’t miss the chocolate chip cookies. They are pretty spectacular.

Pancho’s Vegan Tacos Anthem – Menu with Prices – 2540 Anthem Village Dr Suite 120, Henderson

Delicious is not what comes to mind first when thinking about vegan food. This place is the exception. My husband and I stopped by during their grand opening weekend and we were not disappointed. Staff was very attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in. The menu itself was simple and straightforward, serving typical Mexican dishes, vegan style. The “meat” that they offer was well seasoned and flavorful. We wanted to sample a few of their meats so we ordered street tacos, carne asada (wheat), al pastor (wheat), and carnitas (jackfruit). Out of all of the meats, our favorite was the al pastor, you can’t go wrong with an al pastor taco here, served with all of the normal fixings. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think you were having pork. We also decided to try out the tamales that they have on the menu, they did not disappoint. I ordered a jalapeño and cheese tamale, who knew that a tamale with vegan cheese could taste so delectable. After scarfing down your food, you can wash it all down with a refreshing margarita or vegan michelada prepared with V8 versus the traditional Clamato. For desert, they offer a few vegan and gluten free options. Although, I would ask how they prepare the gluten free items, I am unsure. Overall, we were pleasantly satisfied with our food.

MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company – Menu with Prices – 3401 Dale Rd, Modesto

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have a severe gluten allergy and celiac disease. This restaurant offers “gluten free” items but contaminate your food at every possible chance. I came in since it says they have GLUTEN FREE options. They have signs like normal restaurants stating there is a chance for cross contamination. Which is normal. But they used the same gloves, same pizza trays, and cooked it on a flour DRENCHED stone oven. When I asked about it they laughed as if it was a joke, did not offer my $20 back and I sat starving as the rest of my group ate while I watched. If you are going to offer gluten free, maybe actually offer gluten free. Advertising saying “gluten free crust” but drenching it in gluten doesn’t do any good. 7/6/2019 @6:20pm. And I won’t be coming back. UPDATE: the owner Nick has replied and yes we did get a refund and an apology which I appreciated. My main concern for others is that an allergy is an allergy. Once that gluten free pizza touches the stone with flour on it, it is no longer gluten free. I understand many people don’t know that, but that is why people like me end up extremely sick. Maybe put a note on the door that instead of saying “possibility of cross contamination” it should say “our gluten free products are no longer gluten free once cooked in our stone oven” It is just for safety. I understand you try your best, but “your best” can get someone hospitalized. Just as if someone was allergic to shellfish and you cook their steak on a grill that just had shellfish on it…..well now they will be in the hospital. you are trying your best, but your best isn’t even close for someone with an allergy. So in other words, if you have an allergy, don’t eat here, if you are using gluten free as a diet or to lose weight, go for it.

Simply Sweets – Menu with Prices – 607 Washington St, Vancouver

This was our first time ordering a custom cake here for my sons’ birthday party. First, it’s a cute little place. I did have a short deadline (about 5 days) for a custom 2 tier cake, but the lady I spoke with on the phone said it wouldn’t be a problem. When I went in to actually order and go over everything with a designer, I was a bit surprised they didn’t even offer to let me taste a few different flavors. But I had heard from several people their cakes are very good, so I wasn’t concerned. Since it was short notice, they said I could only choose from the 6 flavors they had available in the display case that week. Ok, no problem- I chose 2. Again, they didn’t offer to let me taste anything. My mistake… I’m gluten free, but I should have asked anyway. The day of the party, we picked up the cake. It was fabulous! Absolutely beautiful design and exactly how we’d described. Then we tasted it… and yuck ? The top tier, which was gluten free, was completely dry. Good flavor, but DRY. Like crumbling. And yes, I know it’s gluten free and all, but I have ordered numerous custom gluten free cakes from various bakeries in Portland before. This was terrible. Ok, fine- let’s try the regular tier on the bottom. Sadly, same thing… so dry all of the icing was coming off in whole chunks. I’m sorely disappointed that we wasted hundreds of dollars on a dry cake, but it is what it is. All of this to say- it was a gorgeous, albeit super stale tasting, old cake.

Zpizza Tap Room Menu with Prices 1082 SW Yates Dr #110, Bend

I’ll admit, this was a surprise. I hadn’t heard much about ZPizza but our friends said they liked it. So, we stopped in on our way home from the mountain and it’s AWESOME! I rarely eat pizza because I’m gluten free and many of the crusts just don’t inspire me. However, they offered 2 types of gf crust (one of them is vegan) and I chose the cauliflower parmesan cheese version. And, I don’t eat meat but always love a veggie pizza. What?? They have Beyond Meat vegan sausage? Oh my! Had to give it a try and I think I just had the best gluten free pizza in Bend. My hubs is a free-form eater and loves meat and loves gluten and also considers himself a pizza expert. He admitted that the pizza at ZPizza might be the best he’s had in Bend also! The staff was very friendly and very helpful (I had a bazillion questions about everything). They guided me through the gf veggie options and even made suggestions. Love this place! We’ll definitely be going back. Looking forward to hanging on their patio in the summer, too. It’s the perfect stop after a great day of play in Bend.

Crumbville, TX – Menu with Prices – 2316 Elgin St, Houston

If you’re looking for great vegan pastries, this is absolutely the BEST place to go in Houston. There are plenty of options and they’re all super tasty. Not to mention, the shop owner was very kind, helpful, and down to earth (she immediately greeted me with a hug upon entering). I tried one of the vegan cupcakes (lemon, gingersnap) & absolutely loved it. Her cookies are also to die for (I tried peanut butter & oatmeal craisin and I recommend both, especially peanut butter). She provides cookie samples, which I loved. Everything was very moist and tasted very fresh and amazing. I’m still craving the cookies days later…. lol Most of the vegan stuff was sold out by the time I arrived, so its better to get there earlier rather than late afternoon. My only hope is that she begins to sell more gluten free + vegan items. I am converting over to gluten free soon and am hoping to find more options w/in that realm.

You Eat I Bake – Menu with Prices – 2834-A Howard Ave, Myrtle Beach

I was having a friend with gluten intolerance visiting for a few days. I was looking for products that would be fresh baked, not the mass produced products that are becoming readily available. I must tell you that I am thrilled with the products I purchased. The bread was so enjoyable. I also ordered cinnamon buns and German chocolate cake. Nicole the owner, was very accommodating. The bakery is dairy free, nut free and gluten free. Nicole was willing to make me a naked cake, so we could frost the cake with the traditional german chocolate frosting. The cake was amazing. I will be back, as I have a DIL that is vegan. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone that is gluten free. You will not be disappointed.

WHOS Gluten Free – Menu with Prices – 80 Mallory Ave, Jersey City

My mom was diagnosed with celiac in the ice age. Okay, maybe not the ice age, but she was diagnosed by Dr. Haas. Anyway, I told her I was taking her to a gluten free cafe and she got SO excited. When I looked up the distance, I could have sworn it said only 2 miles away and we were like, oh, no big deal, we’ll walk… well, 4 miles later we finally got to Whos Gluten Free. Opps. The staff at Whos Gluten Free is Fantastic. We walked in at 3:30 and the staff informed us the kitchen was closed because they close at 4. Oh. They had some broccoli soup still. We bought a whole bunch of goodies and the soup. The soup was delicious, nice and hot and with gluten free croutons! The goodies. Let’s forget about the gluten free part for a second. That nutella sandwich cookie. wholy Whos! (Yeah, I went there). That cookie was amazing. This is also the FIRST time in my LIFE I could share my desserts with my mom. Everything we got was so good. It didn’t even taste gluten free! The staff was so friendly, nice and accommodating. My mom can’t wait to go back! She already has her next “to try” items picked out. She wanted to go back the next day, but she said she would settle for at least a few days. And not to worry, next time we plan to be there bright and early, and not right before closing time.

Sweet Boutique Bakery – Menu with Prices – 9814 Zackery Ave, Charlotte

Earlier this year I changed my diet after finding out I was intolerant to dairy, soy and gluten and it made a huge difference in quality of life. But that doesn’t change my inexplicable love of cake. Cue the need for a custom cake for work and so I went to Yelp first looking for vegan gluten free cake and didn’t have much luck. So I went to the Googly machine and found Sweet Boutique! Debbie saved my life. She bakes beautiful cakes and cupcakes (regular, wedding cakes and my hippy dippy specialty cakes) out of her nice home in South Charlotte so don’t just show up on her porch for an after dinner slice. ? She does beautiful or custom art – I sent her my logo and she cut it out of surprisingly delicious edible fondant but she does sugar art too. We got a double chocolate vegan gluten free cake because my coworker also doesn’t usually get to enjoy sweet treats. It was so dark it was almost black but the taste was incredible. It reminded me of brownie batter and my husband absolutely refused to believe it was either vegan or gluten free because the cake was so mouthwatering good without having the grittiness some GF cakes have. I don’t know what she uses but it’s magic. I will be ordering a GF Caramel cake for my birthday and likely will come back for any baby showers. I bet her regular ones and wedding cakes are phenomenal!

Starting From Scratch Café – Menu with Prices – 400 Aviation Blvd #300, Santa Rosa

I work in the business park and use this cafe for catering frequently (so nice that they deliver for meetings). I’ve also been known to frequent it on a midday walk around the business park. Their iced coffee is an excellent and refreshing midday pick-me-up, and they have numerous gluten free and vegan options, which are much appreciated–and I’m not talking freezer burned Udi’s here–they make their gluten free bread FROM SCRATCH, and their (also homemade) gluten free AND vegan veggie burgers are fantastic, as is the mushroom sandwich (hold the cheese, caramelize the onions). The prices are reflective of the fact that the goods are both made in-house and largely sourced from local producers and farmers. So nice to have a delicious and healthful option so close to my office (and they have NEVER been annoyed with me asking for modifications to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergies and flexitarianism). Plus when you go here, you are supporting a locally-owned business, and 9.9/10 times you’ll probably have one of the owners take your order. Biggest complaint is that their gf baked goods (minus the killer bread, which I’ve never experienced being sold out) are usually sold out by lunchtime, but goes without saying. 10/10 would recommend.

Vegan’s Delight – Menu with Prices – 3565 Boston Rd, The Bronx

I found this lovely small vegan convenience store / deli / buffet on a whim when I searched near a per diem job I picked up for kicks. Prior to this, I have had very little luck / experience with vegan food in the Bronx so I was “delighted” to find this just a few minutes away from my office. I walked in to find several shelves full of mock meats, vegan ingredients such as vital wheat gluten, Bob’s Red Mill packages, an entire row of hot sauces (score!) and a buffet / by the pound area where they sell Ital-style food and patties. I got the vegan beed patty, a couple vegetable ones and the breakfast combo, a few hot sauces, some candies and misc other items and left paying under 30$! The food was great, it all tasted like it was made with love. And while we’re on that point, the staff really seem to love what they do and take care of their customers. I had asked a couple questions about random items and the lady behind the counter insisted I try free samples. When I protested, she insisted further, when I offered to pay, she adamantly refused to accept money for the sample — the sample behind an entire candy. Love this spot and I will definitely be back! The only drawback is that they serve honey on the shelves, which is not vegan per-say, but I know some don’t necessarily agree. I would prefer to see them selling agave (which they do), vegan honey like Bee-Free, slippery elm, etc.

Fusion Lounge – Menu with Prices – 6915 Dixie Rd #4, Mississauga

My boyfriend & I have been regulars at fusion for quite sometime now, the staff is amazing. The service is even better. Ive been to the other sisha lounge in brampton just to see the difference and fusion was by far a better option, heck we left after 30 minutes & went to fusion instead. I was there about 2 weeks ago now & when we went to get up and pay I literally fainted and fell to the ground. The staff was awesome, the owner sat with me ans explained that it was ok and its happened before because of course I was embrassed. As soon as I woke up theyre was a pop in my face and the owner did not let us leave until he felt like I would be okay and I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the owner and the staff at fusion lounge for theyre outstanding service everytime. This is always my go to spot to hang out with friends. 10/10 recommended
