Probably one of the best spots I have come across since moving into the area. I’m the kind of person that would go out of my regular drive just to see what I stumble upon. Well this is the case on this one. My fiancé and I wanted to have some ice cream. We knew we didn’t want your typical baskin Robbins. So we made the drive, took a wrong turn and saw this place. It read daisy malt shoppe from a distance. When we pulled up there where a lot of young kids hanging outside. But we thought why not let’s go for it. So happy we did. They have so many crazy creations when it comes to ice cream. So many choices and different things you can try. I am a fan of anything chocolate. Therefore I read lava cake and I was sold. It consisted of homemade brownie with hot fudge. It was warm and I got to choose any type of ice cream. I went for the almond flavored one. Yum yum in my tummy. Was that good. I’m even craving more as I type this review. This place isn’t only for your typical ice cream. They have different creations even root beer floats. It’s very old school inside but I love it. We loved it so much were already thinking of making this our summer spot whenever we crave ice cream. Or even on a hot muggy day. Thank you to the kids that run this place you guys really rock!!!

McMahon’s Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 960 E Warner Rd #4, Chandler

Love this place, and what helps is it doesn’t cost $5-6 for one scoop of ice cream! Okay. Let’s not talk finances right now. Stopped in here with my granddaughter cause she saved room after dinner for ice cream. Gotta take care of that empty room in her tummy, ya’ know! She has been here prior. She quickly ordered the marshmallow flavored ice cream with sprinkles on a sugar cone. I perused the flavors tasted the Bailey’s ice cream and opted for that plus the cherry cheesecake. Yummm! Is all I can say. I tasted hers as well. All were very sweet and creamy. In fact, I had some later when I got home and even the next morning. Jim, the owner, is working the counter as well as two young men. I asked if the ice cream is made on property. Yes. All are very friendly, professional and courteous. They have containers to go of some of their flavors as well as “pet” ice cream. I know Dawg would like that. There are toys on the tables and a loveseat for parents to sit on and relax while their children play Lots of cute pieces of artwork on the walls to read while we lick and eat. There is a card that is stamped every time one gets two scoops of ice cream. Fill up the card and one gets a free spin. Hmmm. … Glad we got there when we did cause a LOT of people came in about the time we were finishing. Guess where we will be going next time my granddaughter saves room in her tummy for ice cream??

Bubba Chino’s Express – Menu with Prices – 8809 W Colfax Ave, Denver

I just want to say thank you for the good food that you provide for us thank you for the cheese fries that you guys make for my son the cheese fries with the scrambled eggs that is his favorite. My girl brought me a handheld Mexican hamburger tonight it was exactly what I was craving thank you it was amazing just wanted to give you guys props

Hangari Kalgooksu – Menu with Prices – 9916 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove

O V E R A L L: 8/10 P R O S: Cozy/home-y environment, some traditional foods rarely seen at other restaurants. C O N S: Outside the restaurant smells bad. Not the best versions of the dishes we’ve had but definitely comforting nonetheless. M U S T T R Y: Deep fried mandu and their neng myun was pretty good. Kalguksu if you like strong seafood flavor. G R U B Craving something Korean..but something more unique than your typical KBBQ? That’s exactly what my wife and I were craving. To my surprise, most of the items were written in Korean..but luckily I had my own Korean translator wifey with me. She said they offered a lot of Korean comfort dishes not normally offered at your typical Korean restaurant so her eyes lit up wanting to try everything. I gave her free reign to pick whatevers and this is what we got: HIGHLIGHTS: -Free Starter-They start off with giving you barley rice and a type of kimchi that I can’t recall the name of. This is a simple pairing to whet your pallet and is traditional. -Kal Guk Su-Our entree and literal translation of “knife-cut noodles”. This was their specialty considering how the name of this dish is in their restaurant name. This was comforting, but not heavy. We tried to make this dish spicy by adding gochugaru (red pepper flakes) to the dish. When the waitress noticed, she had provided something like cho gochujang to increase the spiciness and flavor. The soup had a strong seafood flavor, which was delicious, but it could have had a little more salt considering the seafood-y flavoring. Overall, if you’re looking for a non-heavy with seafood flavored soup and noodles, this would be the choice for you. -Neng Myun-It was a hot day so this hit the spot with their cold soup mixed with vinegar and hot mustard… yum! You have a choice of either Arrowroot or Buckwheat noodle, both of which are common with this type of noodle. They’re heartier but also more nutritious than your typical flour noodles. -Deep Fried Mandu (dumplings)-This is a common dish, but these were really delicious. It complimented the rest of the meal very well. S E R V I C E We came around 7pm and there were plenty of empty tables. Seeing how the place seemed a bit traditional; out of courtesy, we still waited until we got seated. I feel good manners and respect go a long way with traditional mom and pop shops like this. The shop was pretty clean and orderly. The waitress was also very attentive and helpful in terms of helping choose dishes. P A R K I N G The noodle house is located on the right side corner of the strip mall. There were several parking spots that were vacant in front of the shop. With some dedicated to other business so make sure you check the spot for any limitations.

La Nueva Michoacana Ice Cream Parlor Menu with Prices 1509 New York Ave, Arlington

I was in the mood for something different and came across this on yelp and decided to give it a try. My bf and I got the churros with ice cream on top and their mango drink. Both was amazing!! Mad that we’re just now trying this place out. They have so many different flavors of ice cream to choose from. All were labeled in Spanish and I couldn’t tell what flavor was what so the guy was so kind and patient to read me all the flavors. They were both really good but the coconut ice cream was one of the best I’ve ever had! Would definitely come back for that just alone!!

JCB Creations – Menu with Prices – 70115, 4836 Magazine St, New Orleans

JCB Creations was so easy to work with! I was behind on ordering cookies for my son’s party but JCB Creations was incredibly accommodating. They did almost everything through email and online billing so the whole ordering process was really easy. Plus, they turned around adorable and delicious cookies for us. In my opinion, the cookies tasted much better than some of the popular competitors in the city. I will only be ordering from JCB Creations from here on out!

The Ground Up – Menu with Prices – 915 S Perry St SUITE B, Spokane

Great little place, the ice coffee was great, staff friendly and knowledgeable. I would choose over the shop . This place is small, but clean, actually immaculate clean. I am Italian and grew up in NYC in LIL Italy. I read the previous review about the espresso and I wonder what person was thinking? Maybe she did not like the espresso because she is used to it being made wrong. The majority of cafes in Spokane , I would say 98% do not make their coffee or drinks properly. They make 7-11 type drinks . Sorry, but that is the truth! This place is one I will choose to go to again. The owners are not the type to do something half way.

Milkcraft New Haven – Menu with Prices – 280 Crown St suite 100, New Haven

Most of the reviews I’ve read have been incredibly unfair. I love this place. I always get either the s’mores bubblecone or the “best vanilla ever” bubblecone – and let me tell you, as a weirdo who prefers vanilla over other ice cream flavors – it really is. The nice addition of sea salt really coaxes out the flavor in a way I’ve never experienced before. And the bubblecones are always fresh – sometimes hot/warm from just coming out of the mold, sometimes cold – but that never impacts the flavor or texture of the cone. They are never stale from my experiences. I actually prefer them warm / cold simply because the hot ones melt the ice cream and have made a mess in the past. Now are they perfect? Nah. They’re just getting up and running and working out some kinks in this location – which is understandable and I’m sure there will be turnover among the employee as they’re mostly young college kids with a temporary job it seems. My gripes? Well, the fun one is that they don’t have any kind of “cookie dough” ice cream yet, which given their accomplishments with their other flavors I really wanna see how they would make that awesome. A serious gripe – and this is more for the Fairfield location that I’ve noticed, but the music and atmosphere is ungodly loud. I’ll sit while I wait for my fresh ice cream to be made and deal with it, but it doesn’t provide a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a great treat with my lady / friends. All in all, however – the quality of the ice cream is light years above anything else I’ve ever had. I’ve seen other reviews praise Arethusa Farm Dairy and to be honest, their vanilla was a giant disappointment to me. Team Milkcraft till I die, son!

Duzer’s Local Café and Market – Menu with Prices – 387 Van Duzer St, Staten Island

I don’t know how I found this gem. It’s a little coffee house with a couple tables, fresh made croissants, macaroons and local goods market. Parking isn’t ideal as well as the neighborhood that’s why I took away a star. It was early enough that I wasn’t to concerned about parking a few blocks away but on colder days as if it’s dark out I wouldn’t roam around to head here. I’m not a big coffee drinker but they also have loose leaf tea. My big reason to try this out was to try the croissants (one of my very favorite foods). It was later in the day so they didn’t appear to fresh but wow delicious. I chose a chocolate and almond paste croissant. The owner offered to warm it but I was taking it to go so she packed it in foil and told me to warm it for 10 minutes I’m a toaster oven. She was right. The chocolate and almond paste came out warm and melty, it was heave. I had to stop myself from eating both halves in one sitting. I also picked up a candy bar with potato chips from the local goods part of the store. I also couldn’t resist getting a small sample of my weekness candy mix from the candy bar in the back. Overall I would love to come here with a friend for tea, croissants and conversation, I see that in my near future. Ooo and she also makes croissant sandwiches I think I spotted a few with goat cheese, it’s like this lady read my mind when creating her menu.

Lil Zeus Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 112 W 50th St, New York

I don’t understand all the hype behind Halal Guys when you have a far superior product with Lil Zeus. I probably get food here at least twice a week and have fully abandoned Halal Guys. First off, Halal Guys white sauce is laced with so much mayo its not even anything close to resembling a tzatziki…2nd, Halal Guys hot sauce is so bloody hot you can’t taste what you are eating. Finally Halal Guys shreds the meat to such granular pieces, its like you’re eating dog food. at Lil Zeus you have none of those problems. The lamb meat is the typical donair kebab type (sausage/semi processed style) while their chicken is legit, cooked souvlaki style. The guys running this truck are friendly guys and they work hard to keep the line moving. Why didn’t i give it a full 5 stars? well the salad isn’t entirely greek as they used shredded iceberg lettuce as a primary filler instead of the green peppers, red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, big blocks of feta + olives and oregano you see with regular Greek salads. Overall, the pricing is very fair for the portion size and its pretty delicious. Most importantly, this place puts Halal Guys to shame. Seriously…how can you squirt mayo all over meat that’s been pulverized into pebble like pieces?

Daddy Dee’s Ice Cream Parlor – Menu with Prices – 13161 N Cleveland Ave # 1, Fort Myers

Very nice place. All themed around ice creams and the railroad train with a table for the kids to play a train running around the ceiling. The ice cream is excellent and the friendly staff are very attentive and curious. My friend had a banana split wow on a real plate and water to drink with it. Very popular place. I can see why. Not your everyday ice cream shop. Excellent flavored ice cream. Real ice cream glasses. A real nice family ice cream shop. My Husband had 2 dips of a ice cream call garbage can. It had candy bars throughout it. I just had a simple orange sherbet. From the north it’s on the right side of the street passed rib city. I don’t think you will be disappointed. As I said the staff is super nice and want to make sure you are happy with your visit.

Taft Snowball Stand – Menu with Prices – 3308 Taft Park, Metairie

Snoball stands with 48937483684 different flavors are great, but often overwhelming. Taft Park Snoballs takes the guesswork out of combining flavors to make something incredible. The husband & daughter wanted a snoball. I wasn’t going to bother, but then I started looking through the Yelp photos of some of their creations and decided I better try one. Upon pulling up, I noticed “The Elvis” – bananas foster snoball, peanut butter sauce, whipped cream, oh my. I had to try it, and I’m glad I did! They have a whole menu of awesome fancy snoball creations and I can’t wait to try another!

A Little More Hibachi Express And Poke Bowl – Menu with Prices – 1010 E Broadway #102, Columbia

Interesting place. Decent ice cream. We went this afternoon for rolled ice cream after seeing a friend post on Insta about it. You pick your ice cream from the menu (with pictures! helpful for when you have little kids!), order at the register, pay and then walk down the counter to watch it being made. They pour the ice cream batter (?) onto a cold surface, work in the toppings, spread it into a thin rectangle, and roll it into about 5 rolls. It reminded me of Coldstone, except served in rolls and less ice cream. The presentation is excellent, and the process is fun for kids to watch. Its $5.50 for a cup (includes the mixed in toppings that come with the flavor). +$0.50 for each extra topping. Its decent ice cream but not the best ever. Worth it? Maybe..? this time at least! My kids thought it was cool and it was a different experience than Andy’s.
