This has one star because I could not give it a zero. I stopped by this place this afternoon because I was in that neighborhood and I had never eaten there before and I heard they used to have wonderful barbecue (they don’t have that anymore). While I waited for my order I went to use the restroom. I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. There was urine all over the floor, there was feces on the toilet seat, there was no soap and no towels. There was dust on everything; the top of the toilet, the top of the empty towel dispenser, and even on the sink. There was literally yellow urine all over the floor it was covered with dirty wads of toilet paper which I guess people have used to dry their hands. And it was absolutely filthy. I doubt it had ever been swept much less mopped. All I could think about was if this is the restroom that these people use I do not want to eat the food that I’m going to go back in and get because they can’t even wash their hands with soap. I went in and I told them that and she said “Oh well we don’t use that bathroom” and I said “well I suggest you go and look at it because it’s the most filthy disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. I’m supposed to eat lunch now without even being able to wash my hands after going to the bathroom in that filthy place.” She apologized and said she would go and look at it. So I took my food and I left. When I opened the bag there was a small hamburger with cheese and tomatoes on it when I had specifically requested no cheese and tomatoes, and the meet was very rare. Rare hamburger is not good for you and also was disgusting looking. So I paid nine dollars and something for a few boring French fries and a Pepsi. I will never never never come back to this place and I hope none of you do either. The health department should go out there. I don’t know if their kitchen looks like their bathroom did but if it does I couldn’t even eat the food. I drink my Pepsi and I’m headed somewhere else for lunch.

Pure Water Ice & Tea Company – Menu with Prices – 404 Frankford Ave, Lubbock

I have been very disappointed in the upkeep of this location in the last month or two. Numerous times Iâ??ve visited and counters are dirty. The worst has been the bathroom. Have been in on more than one occasion that the toilet is disgusting. Thereâ??s been no soap and/or paper towels. Dead roaches on the floor. And today when my daughter went in there was no toilet paper to use; there were napkins though, so Iâ??ll at least give an â??Aâ?? for effort. I feel that what the public areas of a business look like show a lot about how they likely care about the back. Iâ??d really like to start seeing some improvement on the cleanliness or we will take our business elsewhere.

Seabreeze Market Menu with Prices 598 University Ave, Berkeley

Filthy, disgusting. What on Earth has happened to this place. It used to be a great place to stop. They sell coffee, but they have no milk. To buy a cup of coffee I had to withdraw money from there $3.50 ATM. They have an $8 minimum 4 debit cards. The shop is third world looking inside now. It used to be a fun, open air Market. The most disgusting thing is there porta potty. They have no bathroom but they’ve got a honey bucket, as it’s labeled, that looks like it has not been cleaned in a year. There is human excrement all over the floor. If this is where the staff is using the bathroom, I would be very concerned about getting any prepared food here. It’s impossible to walk near that Porta-Potty without getting pure feces on your shoes. This used to be one of my favorite little places to stop for lunch or for coffee. I will never be back here again, and I recommend you consider the same.

Central Station – Menu with Prices – 1917 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg

I don’t know where to start! This place was totally run down, had water all over the floors from a leaking ceiling, the bathrooms were disgusting and had broken toilet seats and no toilet tissue anywhere. The whole place smelled from water stinging on the floor. We almost walked out, but it was our date night and we had purchased tickets to a comedy show, which was sub par. After seeing the bathroom, we agreed to eat fast food on the way home. They charged $9 for a bottled beer and had no way to make frozen beverages. Not worth it, but it put a memory in the books.

Harris Teeter – Menu with Prices – 1720 Augusta St, Greenville

I enjoy shopping at Harris Teeter. They have some good sales going on. The place is clean. The only thing I don’t like about Harris Teeter is the bathroom. They have the tissue container in the restrooms down too far to the floor. When you sitting on the toilet to get some tissue you have to turn all the way to your right and been down to the floor to get some tissue. It’s hard on a person that’s disabled . I have a heart defibrillator in and trying to it tissue it’s very hard on me. It needs to be up and toward the front the toilet. I don’t know what they were thinking about when they did the bathroom. I asked you have to get the tissue out first so that when you do go to clean yourself you will have the attention you won’t have to be doing all that turning and then and just to get to it. They wasn’t thinking about people by putting toilet tissue rolls down to the floor like that. Harris Teeter y’all wasn’t thinking about disabled people when y’all did those bathrooms. Yeah women and other people that are disabled , using a walker, cane , or have heart problems even a stroke. I had a stroke but thanks to God I wasn’t left paralyzed on right side. That would be awful trying to get tissue to clean yourself when your paralyzed on the right side. Please go back and redo those tissue holders. Other than that I love shopping there.

Hibachi House – Menu with Prices – 937 Main St, Columbia

I watched the cashier take my card, touch the public pens that customers use to sign for credit card transactions, then go drop my spring rolls WITHOUT washing her hands or even using hand sanitizer!!!! THEN she went to scoop chicken onto the grill with those same unwashed hands!!!! That’s when the cook came from the back and took over. No, he didn’t wash his hands either! She STILL didn’t wash her hands but wiped her hands on a cloth they were using to clean the counter and cooking area with before going back to taking more orders. The cook used the chicken scooping spoon that she used to drop more chicken on the grill and then proceeds to cook food. He also touched the vegetables with his BARE hands without ever washing his hands as the water at the sink WITH soap was running yet never used it to wash his hands. Even when he went to the back for whatever reason as he was cooking, he NEVER washed his hands or dried them cause his hands were wet when he came from the back!!!!! Food looks good but I’m turned off because of this. They have an A on the door however this was TOTALLY unsanitary. FYI: I made this review while waiting for my food cause I watched it all thru the glass. Not trying to sound super clean because the inside is very clean however this turned me off! Idk if I’ll come back after this.

Kroger Bakery – Menu with Prices – 6430 W Saginaw Hwy, Lansing

This Kroger store is pretty good – I prefer it to Meijer. The deli area is great. I also like the produce area. As for cleanliness, the produce area always seems to need attention. Great meat and cheese selection. That being said, one place they need to seriously improve is the Bottle & Can Recycling Center. First of all, the reeking smell is enough to drive anybody away. You can smell it before you see it. Next, the floor is always sticky. It’s really disgusting. Third, most of the machines are malfunctioning. Not just full and needing to be emptied, but broken down. It’s a horrible pig sty. UPDATE: July 2012. The pop can recycling area was much improved. It was cleanish and didn’t stink at all. I had no trouble getting all my cans and bottles to chug through the machine, which worked perfectly. HOWEVER. The ladies’ room looked like a war zone. Used paper towels everywhere. Crumpled up on the floor, counter, in the stalls. Waste cans overflowing, soap dripping from the container onto the counter, and torn pieces of toilet paper laying around on the floor, too. There wasn’t a clean spot to step on. It was pretty gross.

Starland Pizzeria and Pub Menu with Prices 145 E Clayton St, Athens

We ate here for a late lunch today. We ordered garlic knots and 2 pizza slices with salads and 2 soft drinks. Negatives….(not major but things to note) our bill was $24, so a little pricey for lunch in my opinion. There were flies hovering around our table the entire time we dined, not real sure why because no doors were open. The one bathroom for women and men was disgusting, the toilet seat to be specific. If there’s only one bathroom to use, be mindful women have to put that nasty seat down to use it. Positives… The food was delicious, all cooked to order. The atmosphere was nice, loved the inside of the restaurant with album covers on the walls. The waiter was attentive and friendly. If we are ever in Athens again looking for pizza, we would certainly come back.

Monty’s Submarines – Menu with Prices – 1760 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield

I had Monty’s years ago from the Brunswick lane location. I stumbled into the sangamon store Saturday looking for a lite lunch. Walked in to empty store. Only to hear the owner yell.over the TV in back of store “I’ll be right there” Comes out and is very talkative. Takes my order. I go to sit down at one of the empty and very dirty, sticky tables. “He says I probably should wipe.off the tables” I looked for the cleanest one and use napkins to wipe of the crumbs from God knows when the last customer. Enjoyed the club on wheat very filling, offer of different choices of chips, but only offers can soda, fountain soda, and bottle water. Not one time did the owner come out to check with me if everything was ok nor if I needed anything. I guess he was to involved in missing his TV show in the back. I then went to use the bathroom before leaving. And walked into a dirty very outdated bathroom. Dirty seat with left over fecal matter all over the toilet, sticky floor and something that looked like soap leaking on the sink. I will never visit this store every again and I think maybe health inspector should visit soon.

Mack’s, Great american grill. – Menu with Prices – 801 N Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake

Went here on a Saturday at 6:30. The place was a ghost town. The bar area eventually filled up, but there were very few tables. We were skeptical but ordered a variety of items. Wings had a great flavor but were too dry – probably were a lot better right off the smoker but were kept warm too long. Appetizer fries were different but pleasant with the cheese, beef, beans, jalapeños and sour cream. Fried green tomatoes were decent. His puppies and cheese curds were average. However, the star of the evening was the red snapper. Wow! How delicious, and prices at $16, it sold out before we left. The que sampler was also great. Brisket was tender, ribs were moist and came off the bone with ease, and the pulled pork, while not looking appetizing in the presentation, was nicely cooked and tasty. The turkey wrap was flavorful, and the side asparagus was cooked to perfection. Our server, Kaitlyn, was personable, attentive, and knew the menu well. She took the time to explain things we asked about, made good suggestions, and walked us through the different side sauces. The Bama sauce was the favorite at our table! The men’s bathroom was in desperate need of a cleaning. The floor was sticky, urinals and toilet were nasty, and it had a general appearance of nastiness. I would recommend avoiding the bathroom unless it was an emergency. Hopefully people start to discover the great food at Mack’s. Despite the bathroom, it was a great place to go and we will be back!

Clark Street Grill Menu with Prices 2711 Richmond Hwy, Arlington

This diner have lots of food to choose from. It also serve breakfast. My husband and I ate here for lunch and the food was good. I had a philly cheese steak sub and my husband had a bacon cheese burger. We had the lunch special which came with fries and a drink. The Philly cheese steak meat was tender, but they didn’t season it. It’s salt and pepper on the table. I requested mustard and mayonnaise on mine with well cooked mushroom and light grilled onions. My husband had a well cooked burger with cheese, bacon, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, onions, tomatoes and lettuce. He said his burger was delicious Pro: Clean diner, fast pace, friendly employees, great food, adult beverages and many snacks and choices of entrees for you and your family. Con: I had to wash my hands since I forgot to bring my hand sanitizer. The restaurant only have one bathroom stall for women and the door doesn’t lock. I’m glad that I don’t use public toilets or I would’ve been upset. If I had to do it all over again, I would order a vanilla shake, a cheese burger and fries. If we’re in town and on this end, we may come back. Great place solo or with family and friends.
