Went there on a Wednesday night. It was surprisingly busy but we got sat right away for a table of 4. Crystal, our server, immediately welcomed me as I waited for the rest of my party. Got my drink and chips and salsa right away. It became very busy and Crystal ended up with a large table near us. It didn’t phase her she took our order, refilled our drinks, got extra salsa and the food was delivered very fast. She checked on us multiple times to make sure our food was good. Everyone ordered burritos and I had mix and match tacos. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We had birthdays and Crystal made it special. We would come back because the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great but Crystal was outstanding. I would go back definitely because of her service. Hard to find a Mexican restaurant that is not fast food and a good fun atmosphere. Food was large portions as well.

Sister’s Deli Menu with Prices 15355 SE 30th Pl, Bellevue

Sister’s deli is a great spot to grab breakfast or lunch. It’s tucked away near commercial offices but worth finding. During the beautiful sunny days they have quite a few picnic tables and a pretty stream, waterfalls, and fountains to sit by. It’s a great spot for a break from the office as it can make for a tranquil lunch. The food is great and really fulfilling. I had their burrito bowl and I was shocked with how big it was. I’ve also had their breakfast burrito on several occasions and that is huge and awesome too. The breakfast burritos usually come with potatoes, eggs, vegetables, and optional cheese, sour cream, and salsa (mild, medium, or hot). For lunch the burritos include your choice of meat (or vegetarian) rice, beans, veggies, and again cheese, sour cream and salsa. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. To top it all off, the owner Rufina will offer you a hug with your purchase. You and order ahead and she always addresses you by name. If you visit often she will definitely remember you. This is world class service in my opinion.

Better Bowls Menu with Prices 1818 G St, Bakersfield

The first few times I tried this place, I really didn’t like it, and neither did my coworkers. Everything I tried tasted under sauced. I like veggies, quinoa, and pretty much everything on their menu, but every sauce was so thin, it just felt like I was eating plain, dry rice, sweet potatoes, spinach, chick peas, etc. Not appetizing at all. But they were fast, close to my work, friendly, good for me, and reasonably priced, so I went back every six months or so. Eventually I discovered what I was missing. First off, I always get avocado- its extra in most cases (it already comes on several of the signature bowls), but what a difference! Stir that puppy up so the avocado mixes with the less flavorful things. Most importantly, I ask for salsa as my sauce…BUT HERES THE SECRET- ask for two to three times the normal amount. Heck, if they have more than one salsa, get a couple portions of each. I think you can ask for as much salsa as you want, no extra charge (or at least they never charged me). The salsa isn’t as thin as the other sauces, so it coats the food instead of running down to the bottom. If you like sriracha, get that too. I would give most of the signature dishes 2 or 3 stars, but if you mess with the recipe a bit, you can walk away with a 4 star meal!

La Parrilla Mission Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 7372 Mission Boulevard Suite 104, Riverside

The parking lot looked busy, so we decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly – they all looked very busy. I ordered a taco combination plate. It said 2 tacos, beans and chips. Mine came with rice, which I preferred. My husband ordered the chili rellano combination plate. Both came with a soft drink. I ordered a carne asada burrito to go. The server brought us a variety of salsas and chips. A red tomato salsa, a tomatillo salsa(best flavor), an enchilada type sauce and another yellow green salsa. These need work. They need some heat, salt – something’s missing. The server checked on us and I asked if we could get our sodas and then she additionally checked on us 2x more while we waited for our food. The chili rellano plate came first. The cheese was not melted on the inside, the server told us it’s because it’s queso Fresca. Didn’t matter because it still was cold inside. The homemade tortillas are yummy! Rice and beans were ok. Nothing exciting – seem to be missing something. My food still hadn’t come, so I asked when it was ready could I just get it to go, they said sure. Called me over to get it at the counter and I reminded them about my “to go” burrito. I sat back down and waited for it to be made. They did not offer and salsa to go which is ok since I didn’t care for it anyway. I tried my tacos once I got home. The meat needs seasoning. They definitely needed salsa. My son had the burrito- he said the beans need help and the meat needs seasoning too. He was bummed we didn’t get salsa. All in all, I wanted to love this place. Maybe I’ll give them a few months and try later. I’m giving 3 stars because they were trying hard.

Red Bridge Barrio – Menu with Prices – 11118 Holmes Rd, Kansas City

The decor and outdoor seating are lovely and very inviting for a night out. We were greeted by the hostess who was friendly but clearly bra-less WTMI anytime, but especially noticeable in the 70+ year old hostess. Again, great atmosphere and great staff, but the food was lackluster at best. Everyone is served a small side of chips and salsa while you wait for your order…chips were clearly freshly fried and served warm from the kitchen. They were both decently flavored. The chips were served with a sprinkle of chili-lime flavored salt. The chips and salsa set my expectations for tasty entrees… We ordered mushroom/kale enchiladas and chicken fajitas. The enchiladas came with a side of Mexican corn and rice, the fajitas came with all the usual sides of pico, cheese, flour tortillas, lime, onions, poblano peppers, sour cream, guacamole plus a side of black beans served in a mini taco bowl, and rice. Lots of food for the money. The food came out of the kitchen fast in about 10-15 minutes despite being super busy during happy hour. But sadly the chicken, beans, rice and enchiladas all lacked spices of any kind. When our delightful waitress checked in with us, I let her know I was disappointed, and gave her feedback, but was willing to get a salt shaker and make due, when she insisted that she have the kitchen remake my fajitas and sent her manager to the table. She was very apologetic and eager to please. The manager stopped by and apologized and we chatted briefly. The second order of fajitas came to the table lickety split and sadly was worse than the first serving. Again there was no flavor and the chicken had been cooked so fast that it was tough and chewy. A second manager stopped by the table to check in and he was charming and helpful, and very apologetic. The food was edible so we picked at it a bit, but the food was lacking across the board. The outside of my plate had food stuck to it… We’ll likely go back and give them a second chance sometime just because of the wonderful and caring staff!I

Bar BQ Hernandez – Menu with Prices – 501 S Glenwood Blvd, Tyler

Best bag for you buck hands down, I would recommend everyone try it. Best tacos for the price and has no competition in Tyler, Texas that can match the taste for the money. Out of the 100 times I have visit and bought tacos from this establishment I’ve probably only had one or two bad experiences. But something about the taste just keeps bringing me back. Salsa is also excellent. Only thing I didn’t like was the popusas, only bad decision I have made since I’ve been giving them my business, and will not order them again. Chicken tacos, beef tacos, Barbacoa tacos, and grilled chicken are all excellent. I would again recommend that everyone tries this place at least once, it will have you hooked after the first visit.

Tyger Tyger – Menu with Prices – 121 E Yanonali St, Santa Barbara

The food here is very good, the service is a work in progress. I have dined here three times in the last two weeks and will take a bit of time before returning. You order at the counter, it can be very busy and very slow (lots of phone orders, I think) so brace yourself if you’re hungry! SHORT version: Visit 1, Monday, moderate to slow service, not busy, friendly cashiers. Pretty good food, appetizer was not a cooked item and was not ready until after we were finished eating. (3 stars) Visit 2, Friday, moderate to quick service especially given the how busy it was. Great food and friendly atmosphere. (5 starts) Visit 3, Wednesday, very slow service/missing communication, not busy. Thought we were forgotten, no check-in from the staff. Good food. (2 stars) LONG version! I like this place and I think they will run smoother after some time passes. I wanted to check them out so we went on Monday. The fresh Lotus Root Summer Roll was supposed to be our appetizer and it did not come out until we were done with our mains. Tofu Bahn mi leaves something to be desired (does not compare to the Blue Owl’s) and husband enjoyed his Larb. Lotus Root Rolls were good next day – we had to ask them about the order as no one checked in with us about this forgotten item. My friend wanted to check this place out a few days later on a Friday so I thought I’d give it another try. It was busy and we both ordered the Weeping Brisket which is AMAZING. Portions are inconsistent, though. I don’t eat much meat, but I love this dish. Spicy, savory, sweet, mint leaves, texture – it has it all. We both were very happy with our meals. Third visit was a Wednesday evening that was not too busy and the service was very slow. I don’t mind this so much, if someone stops by to apologize or update, but this didn’t happen. A table of four that ordered after our table of two, received three dishes before we received anything: and one dish was the same as what we had ordered…yikes. When our food finally arrived, it was good, but no apology came with it. That makes such a difference. We ordered two plates and waited maybe 40 minutes for them. We had to check on them, because once we saw the other table being served we thought we had been forgotten. Will return in some time, hopefully they will be running a bit better by then.

El Burrito Rico Menu with Prices 4404 River Rd, Amarillo

Great burritos and tacos! Growing up in El Paso I consider myself somewhat of a mexican food expert. I love burritos and tacos and there is no place in town I like better than El Burrito Rico. They have a wide selection of burritos and tacos including carne asada (my favorite), picadillo, chile verde, chile rojo, barbacoa, carnitas, pollo (chicken), al pastor, and even tongue (lengua). I roll with the asada and sometimes add guacamole. To die for. Their tacos have the same fillings but on soft corn tortillas. Delicioso. They have breakfast burritos as well and they don’t skimp on the portions. They come with two eggs, cheese, potatoes and your choice of bacon, ham or sausage. They have two salsas–a red and a green. I always order both because I just can’t choose one. They are both so good (I probably lean towards the green most days). They are located across the street from Pleasant Valley Elementary school in a bright yellow building. There is no indoor seating only drive-thru or walk-up but it is perfect for a fast breakfast or lunch on the go.

California Burrito’s – Menu with Prices – 4480 Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers

Been here a couple times now. I’m born and raised in Southern California where you can get fast Mexican food and burritos on almost every city block. Coming here to SWFL, this is the first and only place that resembles the big burrito from a taco shop over there. Only non traditional thing is they put the rice and beans inside the burrito. I recommend requesting a bypass of this. I’ve been on board with their Carne Asada burrito both times I’ve visited. First time there I took it to go and second time I ate it there. This is a food truck so outside seating is extremely limited. One plus is they wrap the burritos in aluminum foil which kept my food hot inside and out the entire 15 minute drive home. Eating there, they have Barrilitos sodas in various flavors to go with your food. Usually there’s about four or five meats to choose from to build your creation. It gets busy here during lunch break so order ahead for pick up if you’re not into standing outside in the hot sun. Service has always been friendly. Come by here and grab a California Burrito!!

Señor Taco – Menu with Prices – 1929 North Power Road #, 105 # 105, Mesa

Senor Taco is a taste-better alternative to the world of Filiberto’s and all the knockoffs. That single statement sums up the Senor Taco food line up, monster entrees and decent pricing. What you will find are burritos, tacos and other items that compare reasonably to Filiberto’s but are both better tasting and somewhat unique. The first time guest should try the carne asada burrito which is a strong item. People who are hungry could try the California Surfin burrito- a massive entree with carne asada, shrimp and French fries in a burrito wrap. Crazy fun and tasty. For those who can eat an entire cow in one sitting, I dare you to try to finish off a Senor Burrito. This double wrapped carne asada burrito with potatoes and lots of other goodies has got to be at least 2 lbs of shear burrito glory. Not for the weak. The chips are tasty, and the salsa bar is very good, well kept and fresh. The flavors are a bit spicier than the other fast food Mexican chains, but they are just perfect. I love the medium red salsa. Prices are reasonable, with most burritos staying between 5-8 dollars, but the monster teo I mentioned above range all the way to $10, which is still a great deal if you consider the humungous volume for those items. The staff is quick and polite, and your order will be ready pretty fast. Everything is made to order so it could be 5 min for some things but you’ll be eating in no time. This place is the best fast food Mexican available.

Pollos EL REY – Menu with Prices – 801 N 25th St, Waco

Pollos el rey is probably the best food value in waco. I’ve only ever ordered the chicken and its excellent. The birds are Spachcocked and grilled. They are served wrapped in foil with a grilled onion and about half a dozen corn tortillas. They offer two types of salsa, green & red. Both are delecious but the green salsa is particularly memorable. The rice and beans and above average and the portions are big. Once you try this place you’ll understand that it’s definatly worth a regular visit.

Pancho’s Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 1525 W Tennessee St, Tallahassee

Love love love this place. Very welcoming atmosphere paired with a solid variety of Mexican staples . They have all the classics: tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas as well as burgers in case there are any picky eaters in the group the bases are well covered. For starters they bring out chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious and they have some pretty solid guacamole and queso if the salsa isn’t enough. I ordered the steak fajitas however they have chicken and shrimp options as well as a “Texas style” with chicken steak and shrimp . I enjoyed my food however it was very hard to get anything other than the carnitas dinner which is my all time favorite. my girlfriend ordered the taco salad which came in a taco bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it. Solid happy hour too, recommend giving this place a try !

Casita Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 2701 4th St N, St. Petersburg

I love this place. I’ve been twice and plan to return. The interior atmosphere has a cool funky vibe to it, the staff are all very friendly and attentive, they usually have cooking shows and sports playing in the TVs, and it’s a super relaxing environment. I’ve had the Chicken Tamales with Roja Salsa, and the Carnitas Torta, chips and salsa and churros. The Torta was incredible and the Tamales reminded me of all the Mexican food I had when I lived in California. The churros are so fresh and delicious and I would sincerely buy their salsa to take home if that were an option. Perfect portions, delicious food, reasonable pricing, and a great experience. Never too crowded even on the weekends and I highly recommend. Update: I’ve since been back a half dozen more times for lunch and dinner and it’s always a great experience. The food is always consistently delicious, the service is attentive and friendly, and that red salsa is so good. I love this place. I’ve even started bringing people here when they ask for good Mexican food near St Pete.
