We came in and were greated by a very nice gentlemen. The host took us to our seats. It was a little breezy so we asked for. Different table we got seated in a little spot in the middle which was nice. They forgot to clean the tables but i just didnt want to complain at the time. Anyway we ordered the oyster shots they were quite tasty. Each shot had 2 oysters inside and the shrimp..omg the shrimp. They were delicious. So crunchy and idk just really good. We had the shrimp, pulp, and fish soup and the meat molcajete. The soup was actually very good. The shrimp again was delicious and the fish very tasty. The molcajete was smaller than what I’m use to. The flavors were okay. The meats were good. The flavor just idk wasnt all that good. They give you 3 tortillas or 6 and then you can ask for more. They dont seem to charge. The molcajete comes with rice and beans. The salsa that comes with the chips are yum. These are complimentary. I would def go back to get some shrimp plates and a few of their margaritas.

Splash Fish Market – Menu with Prices – 676 Mt Prospect Ave, Newark

I heard about this restaurant thru a friend who tried it herself . All I can say is that since I’ve tried the food , My husband and I have eaten from there consistently at least once a week . The fish soup is simply delicious , there is no fancy garnish to the soup – it’s given to you with a lime wedge and hot sauce (that’s all you need) , you can add a side of tostenes (fried plantain ) for $1 . I’ve tried the fish soup and shrimp soup , along with the shrimp empanadas or crab empanadas . All items have been equally delicious . There might be sometimes someone outside asking for money – don’t let it deter you on a quest for delicious soup! They are normally busy , so when you walk in you may or may not get acknowledged right away but just wait for a few minutes and they’ll notice you and take your order. They are a cash only place!

Mariscos El Güero – Menu with Prices – 1550 W 6th St #108, Corona

Exactly what I’ve been looking for and craving! Authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious ceviches! They have a large variety of ceviches to choose from and they are all wonderful tasting. I tried a couple but my favorite one has got to be the El Guero! This one has a variety of different seafoods including shrimp, scallop, octopus, and abalone. It has the perfect blend of seafoods with lime flavoring. I also tried the ceviche boat which allows you to choose your ceviche. This includes fish, crab and/or shrimp. The ceviche boat is really pretty but l didn’t enjoy it as much as the El Guero. I found the ceviche boat to be a little bit more lacking in flavors and a bit too spicy for me (Note though that I am more sensitive to spicy). Lastly, I ordered the Caldo Mixto which is great! This is a hot, cooked dish. It’s a seafood soup with a huge variety of seafoods like mussels, clams, abalone, fish, shrimp and octopus! A lot! So it’s definitely a great dish for sharing! If it’s you’re first time here with a group of friends or family, definitely consider sharing family style. Order a variety of different ceviche flavors and share! That way you get to try different flavors and find out which ones you like the most. This restaurant is on the smaller side so it can fill up fast. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait if you dine in during peak hours. The waitstaff here is super friendly and attentive! This place is a gem and I’ll definitely be back!

Paulita’s Restaurant No 1 – Menu with Prices – 2720 N Arkansas Ave, Laredo

I was next door getting an oil change in my car at Checkers and decided to grab a quick bite to eat. Very authentic mom and pop shop. I was here around noon on a Saturday and they were fairly busy. Very nice people and they had this nice jazz music in, very soothing and actually a upscale feel, if you close your eyes. I was torn between ordering the tacos, which I spray it was the worlds largest tacos made with homemade tortillas or caldo de rez, The beef soup. I ended up ordering the beef soup and it was amazing. It’s like going to your Mexican grandma’s house and having her make something from scratch. It was loaded with lots of beef, cabbage, zucchini, celery, and tomatoes. I tasted really fresh and they served it with a side of rice which I decided not to do because I’m watching my carbs and subbed out the flour tortillas for corn tortillas instead. It was a very big portion compared to some of the other places I’ve gone to for beef soup, which tend to skip on the meats and vegetables. And all for just under $8 and I have left overs! Yay! I’m coming here again next time to try their tacos!

Mariscos Los Lechugas – Menu with Prices – 5244 Huntington Dr S, Los Angeles

We buy from here at least every week if not every other week! But their fish tacos are BOMB!!! Today I actually tried their shrimp taco and that was really good as well! (I had actually order fish tacos but they gave me shrimp but no complaint because it was good.) I think they have one of the best fish tacos that you can find! Their mix tostada is really good too! I like that their salsa size to go for there tacos is really reasonable, their not stingy with it. The tostadas sauce is Smaller but I’d say it’s still enough. If your craving fish tacos I honestly recommend you to come here. They sometimes do run out of Fish for their tacos, but just call ahead of time and they’ll let you know. It’s not even summer and you’ll see this place always having people. Their friendly and not mean, I’ve never encountered bad service here so hope you don’t either. Most of all I really like that it’s a food truck because you can see what they do. I recommend you to come and try these delicious tacos!

Mariscos Culiacan – Menu with Prices – 5821 N 67th Ave #101, Glendale

Mariscos Culiacon is a casual Mexican Seafood Restaurant with alcohol located in an older strip mall in Glendale. This isn’t a fancy place. Culiacan is a city in northwest Mexico in the state of Sinaloa so it seems they serve Sinaloa Style Mexican Food. Most of the fish dishes they offer have shrimp, octopus and tilapia in them. We sat ourselves and were given menus, complimentary chips, salsa AND small cups of seafood based vegetable soup. The soup was fresh made and developed with flavors. I was going to order the whole red snapper in hot sauce but was told they only had tilapia so I went with Veracruzana Style Tilapia. The tilapia seemed very fresh and was flaky, meaty and mild. They seared it up nice and one side was crispy. The sauce seemed like it was made with mild chili and there were bell peppers and onions on it. My plate also came with vegetable studded white rice, refried beans, salad garnish and hot steamy fresh tortillas. My husband had the Marinero Relleno. He received a foil envelope PACKED with LOTS of seafood with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and CHEESE. He got as much tilapia as I got, shrimp and octopus. The shrimp and tilapia were prepared well but octopus was a little chewy. He got the same sides I got rice, beans, salad garnish and tortillas. Our server was very pleasant. Worth a trip if you happen to be in the area 3.75 stars

Azuls Taco House – Menu with Prices – 1142 Edgewater St NW, Salem

Very underwhelming. I wouldnt call these authentic, only because I spend a great deal of time in Mexico (about every 6 weeks) and they arent even close. I could see how those who arent familer would call these “street tacos”. I Ordered the shrimp tacos. Tortilla is great and shrimp were cooked nice but wasnt very good. The shrimp is cooked in a style that I would put on a Po’boy, not in a taco. Cabbage “filler” needs some flavor, specifically a little cilantro and onions, maybe a sauce in with it. It had diced tomato that didnt add flavor and were mushy. Didn’t care for chipotle aioli sauce that came on shrimp. Ordered a side of chips and salsa and were served a tiny side of completly stale tostitos style chips and a cilantro tasting salsa that wasnt very good either. We thought it was a free sample till we realized that was the chip order. I would say slightly embarrassed that is what they are offering. I appreciate what they’re attempting but I have had better at various taco trucks around town.

Thai Diamond Bar.B.Q. – Menu with Prices – 9581 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

Ordered some thai food via grub hub from here. Food came in a timely fashion. I ordered the following: 1. Thai bbq pork spare ribs- these were good. Large pieces. Tender. Flavoring though was so so, wish it was bolder or spicier. But it fell more on the bland side. But I do appreciate the tenderness of it. 2. Garlic and pepper beef- thinly sliced beef. On the tender side as well. But flavors were really lacking. Couldn’t taste the garlic at all. A good amount of beef though compared to peppers. 3. Fillet of fish in mint leaves- not spicy at all. Ok size fish pieces. Fish was cooked well. 4. Coconut soup- this soup made my review go from a solid 3 star to a 4 star review. You get some thai places, where there coconut soup is just so spicy, it’ll burn your mouth. Some places are just so spicy it actually detracts from the flavor. Yes this one was about a 4/10 on my spicy level, but it really allowed me to taste all the flavors. The coconut, the lemon grass, the depths of flavors. It was a flavor explosion in my mouth!! I had it with chicken, which was tender and delicious. I can see myself ordering this soup on a cold night or if I’m under the weather. It was truly one of the best thai coconut soup I’ve ever had!!! Overall I didnt actually go in so there’s an aspect of this place I didn’t experience, but I definitely wouldn’t mind coming in to try other traditional thai dishes such as their pad thai, fried rice, and definitely their coconut soup again!!

Jugos Vallarta – Menu with Prices – 675 E Grand Blvd, Corona

I Love this Place! The food is Always Delicious and Fresh! I loVe their shrimp tacos which have an excellent flavor, the shrimp is stir fried with the right mix of onions and bell pepper to give an aromatic delicious ‘moist flavor. Then topped generously with fresh lettuce, and a few pepinos on the side. The combo plates are huge! All food is made to order and served in the traditional Mexican home style way. I also love their shrimp ceviche, always fresh and delicious! And the sopes are packed with flavors of delicious sour cream and cheese. The fresh fruit plates (bionicos) are soo yummy! They serve them with a delicious condensed milk sauce and honey, which is a superb treat ! I love the casualness of this Resturant! The staff members are Always Friendly and there is a special attention to the food and preparation. All items are made with a health minded, freshness you don’t see too often. Liquados, Aguas frescas, and all fruit is blended and cut before your eyes in their fruit bar. They have recently added a beautiful chilled salsa bar, and i love the fresh radishes, and house-pickled carrots! I usually order a Mexican Coca Cola, and enjoy it with chips and Vallarta’s thick red salsa, which I enjoy because to me, it has an authentic molcajete taste*! There are lots of vegetarian specialties available also*

Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar – Menu with Prices – 2116 Skibo Rd, Fayetteville

Fried pickles: The fried pickles were good. Coating was crunchy and seasoned well. There was no soggy ness. It came with a good tangy dipping sauce. I rate this a 7/10 Shrimp corn soup: This was tasty flavor wise of the soup altogether, but the shrimp in this soup was definitely low quality. Mini frozen shrimp from a bag. It should’ve just been corn soup instead of messing it up with the bad shrimp. I got the cup of soup which was $4.99 and they surely put one cup of soup in a gigantic bowl which looked like completely nothing. I give this dish 5/10 Bang bang shrimp: The breading was thick and had measly baby shrimp inside. The sauce was okay I wouldn’t get again. I give this a 4/10 Mixed drink: This was the highlight of coming here. I can’t remember the name of my drink but it was packing. I rate it 8/10 Fried doughnut: The crust was crispy but the middle was extremely doughy it was unbearable to even eat. If cooked longer would have been amazing. Due to the raw dough I give this 4/10 All in all I would come back here to get drinks and maybe one appetizer (pickles) but definitely not my dinner. The waitress was awesome I must say she went above and beyond for us. Spent around $50 and was quite disappointed and still hungry.

Dragon Express / Pho Vietnam Express – Menu with Prices – 678 E St, Chula Vista

I was looking for pho in the area and came across this place. The reviews all seem so great so I decided to give it a try. All everyone sayd about this place is that its in a run down ghetto place. Thats definitely not the case. I ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, y eggrolls, and large pho. My total came out to $35 a bit more than what i usually pay at my regular pho place. It was good but it wasnt the best like everyone says. Rice kinda tasted like it had been cooked since the morning and just sitting under heat. Orange chicken was ehh. The egg rolls where good. The pho was a big portion but it wasnt all that tasty it was missing lots of flavor. I was extremely disappointed since I was sick and pho was the only thing I was craving. I dont think i will be giving this place a second chance. I’ll most likely stick to my original pho place even if its a bit further.

Chinese Sauerkraut Fish – Menu with Prices – 14120 Culver Dr Suite I&J, Irvine

Hands down the best fish soup I’ve ever had in my life. I came here on a Monday at 9 pm and there was only one other table here. We were seated right away and our orders were taken quickly. Overall, service was good. We ordered the crispy pork, rice, black fungus, and the sauerkraut fish for 1-2 ppl. The serving for the sauerkraut fish was HUGE. We added enoki mushrooms to our soup and got the mild spicy. The crispy pork was alright and was your typical crispy pork. The black fungus was great and I loved the taste. Hands down, the winner of the night was the sauerkraut fish. The spicy and sour taste took your taste buds to heaven. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical because I’ve never been a fan of fish, but the fish used in this soap just absorbed the soup flavors and made it taste amazing. It didn’t have that gross fishy flavor that you sometimes taste when fish is bad quality or not cooked well. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely be going back.

Thai Hub Street Food – Menu with Prices – 3720 Pacific Coast Hwy, Torrance

Torrance Food Crawl #384 ThaiHub has taken over the space previously occupied by Pieology. The menu is not so much a formal presentation of Thai food as a casual collection of presumably street food commonly found in Thailand. The Cashew Nut Chicken dish mixed chicken, red peppers, onions, chilis, and cashew nuts. On the side was some white rice with a fried egg on top. The chicken was well done, to the point of becoming almost too hard or chewy; a sweet good taste, just on the chewy side. The vegetables were all fresh. I had asked for an average spice level but probably should have asked for it to be a little spicier. The rice was average, as was the fried egg. The Tom Yum Koong soup was a lemongrass soup with shrimp, oyster, and shrimp paste. Nice tasting, with nice flavors of seafood. A better soup was the Milky Seafood Tom Yum, also a lemongrass soup with scallops, fish, squid, mussels, and shrimp. The soup came in a large portion that two people could comfortably ladle out to themselves. With a higher spice level, I liked this soup tremendously. Great tasting with a nice aftertaste. When it comes to appetizers I’ve tried the Vegetable Egg Roll, a typical egg roll with cabbage and carrots, served almost scaldingly hot, with a sweet dipping sauce. Better were the Crispy Rolls which had crab, pork, and shrimp wrapped in rice paper, lightly fried, and very tasty. Served cold, I’ve also had the Fresh Shrimp Rolls which were nicely crunchy, with fresh lettuce and carrots and a shrimp covered with a thin rice wrapping. There’s a nice collection of about a half dozen Thai condiments over on the side, though some of them run low towards the end of the day (or maybe there was a run on them by groups of people before I was there). Thai Hub has a large interior space with over a dozen tables inside so seating shouldn’t be a problem.
