So this place is always empty… Winter…summer…empty…I’m guessing not that many people like to drink …the store is nice an clean… Nice selection of alcoholic beverages…there’s about five selections in the store…rum, gin, scotch, tequila and vodka…they organized it all in brand so its easy to find as well … There’s only one person that work there I’m guessing because the store is always empty…but I remember asking her a question and without getting out of the counter she easily pointed it out …that’s how organized this place is… Never actually been to an ABC store this is actually my first…hope this review is helpfully lol

Kroger Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1489 Madison St, Clarksville

I have only used this location a couple of times when I was in the area as I do not live near this store. On two occasions I picked up a couple of odds and ends and the experience was great. On one occasion I did need the help of an employee to point me in the right direction to find what I was looking for and this is why I offer up the 3 star rating. The employee was generally ok however they seemed to be irritated that I would ask a question and had to take the time to help me. The store has been clean every time I have shopped here and also seems to be well stocked. They have a really good fresh flower selection and the meat department offers many cuts and types. I would have given a 4 star review if not for the one encounter with the not so nice employee. I understand that everyone has a bad day and it is not always fun to be nice to everyone however it is part of their job to be helpful and courteous even if you have to put up a front. I am sure that I will shop here again sometime and Will even modify my review if my experience is better. I really have no reason to say to anyone don’t shop here. I am sure that not every employee is like this. If you have the experience of a more than helpful employee or an employee that seems put out to help you, please let me know and this will help me to decide if I modify my review.

ABC SELECT SPIRITS – Menu with Prices – 303 W Fairview Ave, Montgomery

This store has medium variety of alcohols and mixers in stock. The prices are comparable to other local package stores. And their hours are convenient. My only beef (which is not with the store) is that I have been looking all over for Jack Daniels green apple whiskey. I posted a question here asking if this store has it, and someone replied yes. When I went to the store I found out, they do not carry it.

Cake Among Us Bakery, Donuts & Wedding Cakes – Menu with Prices – 7890 Haven Ave #11, Rancho Cucamonga

NOT THAT GREAT The donut taste okay.. almost like eating half baked cake. It kinda gets stuck in your throat, But the flavor was good. HORRIBLE SERVICE though!!! I asked for the price of a dozen donuts and instead of just answering like someone who values her customers, she (Caucasian with short hair) pointed to the sign on the wall and said “$16.50.. it’s right here” like I’m stupid. I continue to order since I’ve heard good things. I was about to ask her a question about the different flavors of vegan donuts but before I finished she blurted out “that’s all I have!” Referring to the vegan donut in the case. She refused to even listen to my question. WOW!! She just wanted me out of the store sooo bad. So instead of buying a dozen I just left with 1. I guess she didn’t need my money. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN SHE HAD ALREADY DETERMINED THAT I WAS TRASH. I don’t look like a trouble maker or trashy. I was wearing bike shorts with a tee shirt and flip flops. I look like a normal person on a warm day. Either she hates her job or my dark skin but she looked at me and decided that I shouldn’t be there. There are so many other vegan donut shops around this one will NOT be missed!

Virginia ABC – Menu with Prices – 1249 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg

Very clean, well organized store with a helpful friendly staff. The location is extremely convenient as well. Parking at the downtown ABC store can be a bit of a hassle at times, meanwhile this one is always easily accessible.

Oregon Lox Co – Menu with Prices – 4828 W 11th Ave, Eugene

I first came to the Oregon lox company last year while driving from Florence to Eugene. We stopped in and got a 1-pound package of Nova lox for $14. Subsequently, we drove to San Francisco while returning to San Diego. In San Francisco in the Farmers Market at the ferry building on Sunday, the same exact package of locks from the Oregon lox company was $90! The fish here is outstanding. Today, when I went, my six-year-old daughter entered the store hating salmon and holding her nose. Thanks to Ning, who helpfully offered my daughter and I samples of every kind of locks that they sold, Emily left the store loving salmon and wanting more! She now brags that she likes more Seafood then her sister because of this. All this, and certified kosher, of course.

TIGER TIGER – Menu with Prices – 585 Franklin Gateway SE Suite 225, Marietta

Came here on a Friday evening with coworkers. Atmosphere/ location: Freaking gorgeous!!! Very spacious, beautifully decorated. Several TVs, nice bar area, dope lighting. This place is located in a plaza across from Applebee’s. Menu/prices: I don’t remember everything on the menu but I do remember the prices were quite high. My friend asked for drink specials and the waiter pointed out a $14 HennyMarg. $14??????. My friend ordered it anyway and it was okay, $10 okay. We ended up getting a section and order about 10 bottles of champagne (funny story coming next abt those) & a couple bottles of Patron. We ordered wings (garlic parm, hot, & lemon pepper). The wings were AWESOME!!! I don’t have a clue abt the prices of the section or bottles because I didn’t pay for it. Bottle Service Girls: Every last one of them were strikingly beautiful!!! So here’s the funny story. Every time they brought our champagne out and did their little sparkler performance, they ruined the visual because they had no idea how to open the bottles. One girl had the bottle pointed towards my face…yikes. After a while, another lady who work there came over and opened the bottles for them. We applauded her and asked her nicely to train the other ladies. But other than that. I loved the bottle girls! Dj: He was basic I don’t remember getting lost in a song I liked but he wasn’t horrible. Would I ever go back, sure would!!! They just need to promote the place a little more bc other than my 20 coworkers who showed up, it was only like 10 other people there.

sugar kingdom – Menu with Prices – 3000 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach

Was hanging out with my nephew (13 yrs old) down at the beach when we saw this candy store. I felt like the 13 year old when I walked in because it was a very bright, colorful and sweet smelling! It was as if I entered the willy wonka chocolate factory. I wanted to touch and taste everything! It’s very clean and organized by the type of candy and colors. You can create your own bag of candy selection by choosing from their vast selection and weighing it all when your done. They have toys and trinket candy dispensers, T-shirt’s and tierras. It’s a toy store and candy store rolled up in one. The drawback, it’s very expensive. Parking is on the side metered street or garage. It’s a nice splurge for the sweet tooth and kid in you!

Queen Street Grocery – Menu with Prices – 133 Queen St, Charleston

Queen Street Grocery is a great little local market located in a residential neighborhood of downtown Charleston. The grocery has a sandwich counter and other reviews note significant satisfaction with the offerings. The small market is quite impressive for a neighborhood store and I’m guessing they do make an incredible sandwich. I offer an unconventional review for parents traveling with teens. Queen Street Grocery is situated around the corner and down the block from the old Charleston city jail. The jail is home to evening ghost tours. If you’re waiting for others (your teens) to finish a jail tour, Queen Street is a great spot to buy a craft beer and sit outside on the patio and enjoy the quiet downtown Charleston neighborhood. Charleston restricts public consumption, so remember to grab yourself a complimentary paper cup to enjoy your chosen beverage while sitting outside. Probably not the way Queen Street grocery would expect to receive a five star review, but for our visiting group from Wisconsin, Queen Street was exactly what we were looking for in proximity to where we were. Thank you Queen Street for the reasonably priced adult beverages, the cups to conceal them, the chairs to relax in and looking the other way while a traveling group of parents went on the edge to bend the rules a little.

Virginia ABC – Menu with Prices – 1416 Carl D. Silver Pkwy, Fredericksburg

I have been to this ABC store a couple times now and I have received great service here. It is never too busy, even during different times of the day. The bottles are very well organized, so you will never have trouble finding anything. If you are looking for something in particular, the store clerks will know where to find it. The cashiers are quick, so you can be in and out in less than 5 minutes. They also have mini bottles of liquor, which could make for a fun gift idea!

Mother’s Market & Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 19770 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach

I’ve been here a few times over the years. Recently, I’ve been trying to find healthier alternatives to the regular food I was eating on a daily basis, like bread, tortillas, etc. I do admit for a small store they have a large selection of items that are healthier than your typical chain grocery store. One of the things I did notice was their customer service. If you are a person who looks like a stereotypical vegetarian or vegan (yoga pants, thin, hippie-looking) then you get wonderful customer service. If you do not have any of those traits they tend to ignore you or don’t seem to engage in small talk with you. Case and point, when I was looking for organic bread I ask someone who worked there. He pointed to the bread section across the store. As I was walking away someone asked where the herbal pills were and the guy took the lady (looked what you would stereotype a vegan would look like) the other direction on the other side of the store to show her where that section was. I didn’t think much of it, but then I was in the checkout line and a thinner lady was checking out and the clerk was telling her about their app and how customers can save money on it. He gave her a pamphlet as well as an explanation. When I went to check out. Nothing! Not even small talk. Just the question, “Is that going to do it for you?” No explanation about the app or anything like that. You would think they would train their employees to provide better customer service, especially competing with companies like Trader Joes. I’m not at all a fan of this place after my experience there. I’d rather shop at Trader Joes where their employees are friendly and helpful and even if the pricing might be a little more, it’s better than getting ignored and feeling like they are doing you a favor for helping you like they do at Mothers. I’m definitely not going back here.

Cloves Indian Café – Menu with Prices – 302 A Jefferson St, Lafayette

I was really looking forward to eating here. I showed up right when they opened. The woman behind the counter was putting music on to play. I told her I hadn’t been there before, at which point I thought she asked me if I’d been there before, and I repeated that I hadn’t. From a distance, she asked me if this was for here, and I said yes. So I studied the menu on the wall while the woman put together what I thought was someone’s phone order. When she finished, she asked me again if the order was for here, and I said yes. When she started ringing it up, I said, “Wait, is that mine? I didn’t order yet.” She said, “Yes you did. You ordered the special.” “No I didn’t,” I said, and she said, “Yes you did. Twice I asked you if you want the special, and twice you said yes.” “No I didn’t,” I said. By this time, she was visibly annoyed, so when I said, “Forget it” and started to leave, she said, “No, it’s okay,” but I left anyway. If I had answered yes twice to some question she asked — and I don’t remember hearing her ask if I wanted the special — it would have been because I misunderstood the question due to the bad acoustics and music. But why wouldn’t she have asked me what I wanted instead of asking me a yes or no question? And why not reply, “I’m sorry, I misunderstood” instead of arguing with me? Huge disappointment.

Square Bottle Liquor – Menu with Prices – 21 Naples St, Chula Vista

This has been my corner liquor store since I was a little girl. At first it was 5 cent candies and now it’s 5 dolla craft beer. The owners have been running that store as long as I can remember. Mac and his wife always remember me and say hi. They used to ask how my dad was when he was a live. I think it was because he was one of their best customers….. Like father like daughter. It can be a little cluttered but I always find what I need when I go. I love there selection of baby liquor bottles crowding the counter. Heaven knows when you might need a few quick shots of courage before a date or just to keep your sanity. The liquor selection is ok. I found a few cool craft beers which has made me happy. My neighborhood liquor store is kind, friendly and supplies me with beer. I’m good with that : )
