Me and my wife went wedding cake shopping here. The moment I bit into the first sample cupcake was a divine experience. The owner was delightful to work with and did a great job of anticipating our needs and beautifully worked in our wedding flowers on the cake. It looked gorgeous and we could not be happier. Was looking up the hours because I thought I’d surprise the wife by getting a few cupcakes for us on the way home, saw this and decided I’d write a review and share the goodness. If you’re looking for a special occasion cake, this place is 5 stars, A+, all around wonderful.

Sweet Confections Cakes – Menu with Prices – 4702 Fritchey St, Harrisburg

We ordered a cake for my son’s Eagle Scout ceremony to test their cakes before my Daughters wedding. The cake was decorated exactly as we wanted but the taste was a bit bland for a chocolate cake. When my wife ordered it she just requested chocolate not realizing they would give a dark chocolate cake. Maybe good for adults but for a group of kids to leave most of a pretty expensive cake was worrisome. Even with that we decided to go with them for my daughters wedding. Long story short we placed an order and gave the $100 deposit. My daughter and her fiancé are in Japan and soon after going back to Japan made the decision to delay the wedding till they returned stateside permanently. I know the $100 deposit was non-refundable so I asked if I could just order a birthday cake for my wife’s birthday. No go can’t change the order. I asked if I could just get the wedding cupcakes, nope can’t order less than originally planned. Tried to tell me the contract says that but there is nothing in the contract that states you can’t reduce your order. Not worth pursuing for $100 but if you go with them order the minimum you can as you can always increase. Also be aware that the prices are pretty high for their wedding cakes and cupcakes compared to the average in the Harrisburg area. Went with them because my daughter was happy with what they offered. I have no problem paying extra for a good product and service but when I have an owner/manager being so inflexible they lost my business and anyone else I know that is looking for a recommendation. I should note I hardly ever take time to even write a bad review of anyone so the fact that I took the time to write this should speak volumes.

June’s Cakery – Menu with Prices – 2545 E Division St, Springfield

Ella is wonderful to work with! She was so sweet and patient with us while we were deciding on the cake for my daughters wedding. The cake was wonderful and exactly what the bride and groom wanted. The strawberry filling was a wonderful surprise for the wedding guests that expected the same ol’ traditional wedding cake. Ella was very accomodating with the pick up time as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better price, experience or better tasting cake…Ella did a wonderful job!

Cakes So Simple – Menu with Prices – 273 Babcock St, Melbourne

While planning my flroida wedding all the way from Kentucky, I found Cakes So Simple through a Google search. After reading the reviews I decided to give them a go for my wedding and groom’s cake. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! We had chocolate cake for the groom’s cake and for our top tier of the wedding cake. It was sinfully delicious. The rest of our wedding cake consisted of Key lime and strawberry cupcakes and they were super delicious. The frosting was sweet without being overly sugary. We wanted a specific design on the groom’s cake and they nailed It! They were awesome to work with and super responsive via email. I could not be happier with my decision to go with Cakes So Simple!!

Sweet Mary’s – New Haven – Menu with Prices – 129 Court St, New Haven

We got our wedding cake and cupcakes from Sweet Mary’s, so now every time I stop in, it’s an extra special treat for me (and my husband because I’m always bringing him something home). I first discovered Sweet Mary’s when I worked in downtown New Haven two years ago, and I recently started working in the area again. It’s my go-to place for the occasional sweet treat. The cupcakes are delicious, and I think I’ve been able to try almost all of them. My husband really likes the cheesecake cupcakes (yellow cake with fruit filling and cream cheese frosting), and I like the buttercream frosted cupcakes best (the regular vanilla cupcakes are wonderful). We’ve also had a few different cookies and the 7-layer bar, and we’ve never been disappointed. Everything is quality and tastes like it was made with love. Sweet Mary’s did an excellent job on our wedding cake and cupcakes. We got a small vanilla cake with blueberry filling and vanilla buttercream to cut, along with an assortment of party-sized cupcakes, including vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, blueberry cheesecake, and strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream. Everyone loved the cupcakes, and I was glad to have ordered a few too many so that we had leftovers to enjoy the next week. The price was more reasonable than I expected for everything we were able to get, and it was nice to go somewhere local that I can keep going back to.

Paula Jacqueline – Menu with Prices – 4151 N Marshall Way #8, Scottsdale

I’ve been meaning to write this review for over 9 months! We found PJ through our wedding planner, Sip & Twirl, and after trying out some cakes at other places we found ourselves (always trust your wedding planner) PJ was the no-brainer choice. Her cakes are so freaking good I could literally eat one every single day. In fact, my husband loved our wedding cake so much that he’s been begging to go back to PJ just for some cupcakes every single weekend since. We went for a two-tiered lemon cake with raspberry compote (I think it was compote?) and let me tell you, it was seriously the best cake I’ve ever had. You know when you sometimes go to a wedding and you get the pleasure of eating a slice of cake for dessert, only to find that fondant tastes like legit glue and the cake itself is dry and bland? I really didn’t want that for our wedding, and we got quite the opposite. Not to mention, her prices are insanely reasonable! I think we payed a total of $200 on our two-tiered cake, where other places were trying to charge us literally triple that. I highly HIGHLY encourage anyone who’s getting married to at least go in for a tasting. You will not be sorry, and I guarantee you it will be better than anywhere you choose to go.

Specialty Cakes – Menu with Prices – 1560 Wabash Ave, Springfield

If you want the best cake for your event, check out Specialty Cakes! They offer so much more than just cake but for our wedding we were looking specifically for cake. Cake tasting is probably the most exciting and anticipated event during the planning process! Specialty Cakes delivered with excellent flavor, presentation, easy process, and wonderful workers! Even though we all wanted to go taste more cake, we knew in the first few bites that we were sold. Who says a wedding cake has to be a boring white and chocolate cake? This place offers so many great options. My husband and I couldnâ??t make up our minds, so our wedding cake included 4 different flavors, White, Lemon, Strawberry, and Banana! They also made us an amazing Rumchata adult sheet cake and a Spice/Red Velvet sheet cake for all of us to enjoy! Our guests were incredibly happy with all of the options and raved about the flavor and design of our cake. We could not be happier with our decision on working with Specialty Cakes, they were tremendous with our whole wedding!

Cakin’ it Up Menu with Prices 452 Dix Creek One Rd, Leicester

Sabrina did an AMAZING job on my wedding cake this last weekend. I got a three tier cake with 2 dozen cupcakes. The cupcakes were almond flavored and the cake was split up into 3 different flavors: carrot on top; chocolate in middle; champagne on bottom; and all with a raspberry filling and swiss meringue buttercream for icing… IT WAS PHENOMENAL! Everyone loved the flavors. A favorite seemed to be the champagne (don’t know how to explain the flavor, you just gotta try it). I also had her do buttercream flowers that cascaded down the cake onto the cupcakes. It was soooo sooo beautiful. I couldn’t stop looking at it. She truly outdid herself and beyond exceeded my expectations. She was easy to communicate with, very dependable and I didn’t have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. I loved working with her and I honestly miss that cake! I will make sure to upload a picture when I get one. Thank you Sabrina for making my wedding day all the more magical.

The cakes and cupcakes look great and taste even better!! Get it to Go made the cupcakes for our wedding a few years ago and we are still hearing from our guests how good they were! We used Get it to Go just recently for the cupcakes and cake for our sonâ??s first birthday and once again, we were so pleased! I sent them a picture of the dinosaur I wanted on the cake and they nailed it! We will definitely use them again and would recommend to anyone!

Batter’s Up Custom Cake Artistry – Menu with Prices – 3433 Risner St, El Paso

Batter up Custom Cakes is absolutely amazing, not only do their cakes taste absolutely wonderful but she is extremely talented!! Everyone raved about our wedding cake (three-tiered wedding cake with sunflowers) groom’s cake ( tree trunk cake with aox) at our wedding they thought it was so beautiful and unique and they loved the flavors of our wedding cake we picked lemon, carrot cake with pecans and butter pecan!! It was absolutely perfect!! Amy went above and beyond to help us after our wedding got postponed due to Hurricane Harvey! she extremely hard to help us find a new date! Very thankful for everything she did it was an amazing experience working with her!!!

Fun Kreative Kakes – Menu with Prices – 425 Shadow Grass Ave, Fort Worth

Heather is amazing! Not only are her cakes and cupcakes delicious, they look beautiful too! Heather made our wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding, and they turned out fantastic! We got so many compliments on how delicious every flavor was. Heather was great about working with us to make sure everything looked how we wanted and was very diligent about ensuring the cakes and cupcakes looked perfect for our day. She is extremely friendly, set up all of our cupcakes on her own personal tower, and even gave us a separate anniversary tier. We were very impressed with her baking and decorating abilities as well as the cost for everything. We will definitely be using Fun Kreative Kakes any time we need a cake from now on, and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Wedding Cakes By Jim Smeal – Menu with Prices – 657 N Sterling Dr, Charleston

JIM SMEAL made our wedding cake years ago and my husband and i still talk about our amazing cake. It is still to this day the best wedding cake I have ever tasted (and we thought that at the tasting) Jim truly makes cakes that are as tasty as they and are beautiful! Over the years, we have ordered mini cakes for birthdays and anniversaries and his work has always been consistent. When you’ve been making cakes for decades that’s not always true. If you want a truly memorable cake for any occasion have your cake made by Jim Smeal (I love them all but recommend the white chocolate with real raspberry puree filling . It’s icing is light and not overly sweet like a lot of weekend cakes. The cake is so moist and just as good for our first anniversary as it was our wedding day)

The Best Little Cake House – Menu with Prices – 3280 Suntree Blvd Unit 105, Melbourne

Candice, Shannon and assistant Brooklynn were a delight to work with! They blew our minds, from the first tasting, and continued to deliver with the grooms cake and wedding cake we received this past weekend! Both cakes looked and tasted absolutely amazing, we got so many compliments on them, and couldnâ??t be happier that we got to work with such an awesome team! We highly recommend The Best Little Cake Houseâ??s moist, delicious creations and cannot wait for the next occasion that brings us back to their kitchen!
