Here’s my updated review with images attached of our email chain as proof! Their customer service needs a LOT of work. It’s very sad how contradicting they can be. Hopefully the owner sees this and figures out a solution. I’m not spending my money or referring anyone else to their company. I’ll spend my money in honorable companies that do not lie or make any sense in a reason to shut your request down. I would have gladly been reasonably fine if they had just said we do not accommodate any requests because then we would have to accommodate every other person, instead of saying they would not take out SPRINKLED CHEESE ON TOP because it would save them money. That makes zero sense. ZEROOOOO. I clearly did not ask for a substitution that would have them at a negative in any sort. It’s as if you go to a restaurant and ask for no mushrooms, and they charge you the same amount, but they get to keep those mushrooms for another order. It’s a win, win situation. I’m not sure why you have the person you have representing your customer service (which I did not name) but you guys have a lot to learn especially in the food industry where you have to accommodate people’s allergies! I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to milk! I take lactated pills just to get by on a daily bases and if I could reduce my dairy intake, I am supposed to! I honestly just wanted to try the beef meal and thought to myself how it might not be that hard for them to just skip the sprinkled cheese on top for my meals, and use it towards someone else’s order, but according to them, it would actually cost them money and of course it would cost them more money in labor and time to SKIP the sprinkle of cheese on my meals right? Ha. For a company who represents a healthy lifestyle, it is very strange to me how unaccommodating you are to my allergy. No worries, this is the Bay Area where there are hundreds of accommodating meal prep companies and upcoming companies who genuinely care about their paying customer’s allergies or requests. Cheesus Christ, it’s chus cheese. I’ll scoop it off since it’s such a problem.

MacroBox Meals – Menu with Prices – 2217 S Grand Ave, Santa Ana

Finally a mealprep company that actually tastes good I have tried other companies in the area for mealprep before and although they are healthy, they were just not edible on my terms. I am so glad I found Macrobox because of many reasons. I love that they change their menu weekly so I am always excited for whats new and I do not get sick of the same items. I also like that all their ingredients are always fresh. And the biggest reason why I love Macrobox is that it is actually tasty. Their food is really good and done right. So far I have tried them for a week and I love it. I’ve had their steak and potatoes and their fish dish. The steak was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Even the potatoes are worth mentioning because they too were seasoned right. It didn’t taste dry like other companies. I recommend that dish if it is offered. I also like the way they make their fish. It’s hard to find a place that makes fish well without it having the fishy smell and with good seasoning. Macrobox did it perfectly. It was delicious yet healthy. Their pricing is very affordable. It’s either comparative to other meal prep companies or cheaper. They carry breakfast meals as well but I haven’t had the chance to try them yet. They usually have a good amount of options for you to choose from and their website was pretty easy to use. I love that they post their nutrition facts straight onto the website so you know what you are getting out of each meal. They couldn’t have made it easier for me. The staff working at Macrobox is also very nice when I encounter them. I are experienced at what they do and get me my meals in a reasonable timing. Overall, its a great meal prep company and perfect if you are a busy like I am and seeking for an alternative way to get in lunch without having to cook.

ProPortion Meals – Menu with Prices – 711 W 17th St Unit C11, Costa Mesa

When I first started my fitness journey, I loved being active and I loved eating. What I did not LOVE was the amount of time and inconvenience it took to prep my meals for the week. The week would fly by and I’d find myself having to do all the work of going to the store, buying food, finding time in my inconsistent work schedule to cook, and then resisting the temptation to buy fast food over the meals I had spent so much time prepping. I decided to look for other options when it came to prepping my meals. Online options like Freshly and Icon Meals looked good but shipping was way too expensive. Since that was the biggest issue, I had the great idea to check Yelp to see if there were any companies close to me. Game changer. I found ProPortion Meals close by to me in Costa Mesa and decided to give this place a try. Best decision ever. After making the same old steak/chicken, rice, and veggies meal for weeks – ProPortion Meals offered a variety of different and DELICIOUS meals. Even dishes I wouldn’t ordinarily try made from turkey/fish were filled with so much flavor and taste. Each week they offer something different that my tastebuds are eager to try. (The Korean beef is my favorite!) I find myself always checking the website to see what will be offered for the next week. Instead of being bored of my own food, I was now looking forward to every meal. I think the kicker on top of the variety and taste is they also post the macros for the dish right on the packaging so you can easily keep track. I think great companies are run by great people and Anna is so very accomodating and helpful. Customizing meals or having special requests is no trouble for her. Even just going in to pick up my meals and having a conversation with her is enough to keep me coming back. There is no higher pleasure to being a customer than knowing you are also treated like a friend.

Subway Restaurants – Menu with Prices – Baker Crossing, 665 Newtown Rd #105, Virginia Beach

This is the worst subway in VA! I was physically assaulted by an employee here. I contacted the cooperate just to be informed that this is owned by a franchise owner an they could contact the owner but could not do anything about the employee. Turns out the owner is out of the county. Do you think she was fired? No, she still works there. The owner doesn’t care about customers. All the works at this store are rude and nasty to the customers. Beware of the business you support. When you give your money to this franchise owned companies, it is not the same company you see on t.v. franchise are allowed to be run how ever they want as long as they pay to use the name. You are not granted the same service from each. You put you and your family at risk going to these companies. I wonder how much they paid there family members to give them good reviews? They can’t have my money and I hope you join me. Thank you

Gohan Japanese Fusion – Menu with Prices – 1003 University Ave, Lubbock

Tried to order lunch but they were unwilling to accommodate a food allergy. In the past they were able to accommodate this allergy but the manager today was unwilling and did not offer to speak with me or explain. I have eaten here before because it is cheap and convenient but nothing stands out and the chicken tastes frozen. That doesn’t mean it’s awful by any means and I was fine with having this for lunch. If you don’t know anyone with a food allergy or don’t have one yourself then this may seem like it’s not a big deal. However if you have experienced food allergies then you know how frustrating it can be when people are simply unwilling to make minor changes. Long story short they were unwilling to make a new batch of rice (I am allergic to eggs) since all the fried rice had been prepared for the day. Would not recommend this place because of this and because in this day and age food allergies should be understood and accepted.

Cali Fit Meals Menu with Prices 3450 E Orangethorpe Ave, Anaheim

I honestly don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write this, especially considering I’m pretty sure I’ve been using their services consistently longer than anyone else (I could totally be making that up, but it has been a VERY long time). My parents and I have been ordering from Cali Fit for over a year now and it has made our lives soooo much easier! I had tried so many different meal prep services including the type where you get sent the ingredients and you still have to make it yourself and the ones where you just pop it in the microwave and eat. Cali Fit is by far my favorite for a multitude of reasons. First off, I am not a large person by any stretch of the imagination – actually, I’m quite small (5’2″ and, I started with Cali Fit at about 118 lbs and got down to about 108 lbs for my wedding last summer and am now sitting pretty around 112 lbs). I only mention my size because a lot of times, that’s what people are hoping for when they sign up for these services. However, that was not my main purpose. My main reason for doing this was because I am far too lazy to cook and I got a rude awakening about my health when I got results from my doctor saying my cholesterol levels were as high as a lot of obese patients she works with. It shocked both of us, but not so much when we stopped to consider my eating habits which consisted of fast food on an almost daily basis. I have sense realized that the only reason I never actually got fat was because I don’t eat HUGE portions of said food. Anywho, back to Cali Fit. They have been a god send. I called, talked to Blake (who is fantastic) and we went through the usual “what are your goals” conversation as well as the “what are your food allergies and preferences” conversation. My meals get delivered weekly (unless I ask to skip for various reasons like vacations and stuff) and all I gotta do is pop them in the microwave for a few minutes, eat, and recycle the trash. The amount of time and energy I save from not needing to shop for groceries, cook, and do dishes is incredible. Don’t like a meal? Email/call them and they’ll add it to your restrictions. Like a meal, but don’t want cheese on it because you’re a crazy person who hates cheese or you’re like me and needed to minimize it due to lactose intolerance? No problem, email/call them and they’ll add it to your restrictions. Oh yeah, and did I mention they send you a little menu card with the nutrition facts for each meal and snack?! It literally takes the thinking out of eating healthy meals. TLDR: If you’re on the fence, just give it a try! I started it out of pure laziness, to get fit for my wedding, and to lower my cholesterol, and it’s so good I’ve used it for over a year now and so have my parents ?

Dish Republic – Menu with Prices – 17805 Sky Park Cir, Irvine

To say this is one of the greatest food delivery services out there, would be a complete & total understatement!! I wish I could give Dish Republic 5 gazillion times the stars that I am allowed to give!! Not only is the food absolutely amazing but also the customer service, foundation of the company & overall dynamic of the business exceeds expectations beyond the imagination! I first found out about Dish Republic when a friend gave me a gift certificate so that we (myself & two special needs children) would have a few meals during my son’s recovery from a big surgery. After the first meal that I ordered, I was hooked!! The food was out of this world, very reasonably priced & the anxiety of dealing with a delivery person & having to deal with an exchange was deleted (for they are happy to just drop your meal at the door). To me, cooking is not only a chore, but also a time consuming event… Dish Republic eliminates any inconvenience related to cooking & delivers the most phenomenal meals I have ever tasted. Their portions are ample, prices extremely fair & the service is impeccable!! Some weeks I find myself ordering serval nights in a row for they change up their menu daily! & just for the record… I don’t know anyone who works for this company, nor was I offered any compensation for a review… Dish Republic is just that amazing & I will continue to be eternally grateful for being introduced to this company!!

Sunshine Cafe Menu with Prices 5301 Central Ave NE, Albuquerque

Great food, friendly staff, willing to accommodate special requests. So happy they are in our building! And the chicken salad rocks!

Cafe at 6300 – Menu with Prices – 6300 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Was not given a pleasant experience at this cafe. I had 2 eggs and coffee from what I saw on the menu cost 6$ and for some strange reason the recipe that came after my meal said 15$, my meal was not altered at all I think I got less then what the 6$ meal cost but was forced to pay 15$. I was not served in a plate but in a to go box and after I asked why I was being charged so much he responded with “you pay what I charge you ” in a very uncomfortable way. The owner threw receipts at me to show me who paid because he make them from what he said. This place is not a place locals need to spend money at. Please review it for yourself if your a local.

Kimchi Korean Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2929 N Rock Rd #150, Wichita

Amazing food and amazing people behind it! The food is prepared fresh and the quality shows. Many people might have gripes with the small menu but I much prefer it. The menu is comprehensive and shows pictures of the foods. The staff are also very attentive and conscious of food allergies and try to accommodate. I go there as often as I can and they always accommodate for my soy intolerance, something difficult to do in much of Asian cuisine. If you feel so inclined and have a soy allergy number 3 and 4 are both very good, and the chicken can be made without soy.

Sanitary Service Company Inc (SSC) Menu with Prices 1001 Roeder Ave, Bellingham

People given 5 stars are employees of this company so do not trust them. They couldn’t pick up the trash due the weather that they said. I understood that there was snow and they couldn’t pick it up on the scheduled day but next day, they picked up only* recycles and not burnable trash so I emailed them said “you are forgetting to collect the burnable trash bin ? ” And then, they replied with NEVER mentioned any “sorry” word, at all. The person titled ” Customer Service SPECIALIST” made already excuse blah blah blah. Says “We concern our employees safety first.” Instead of just saying ” We apologies for this inconvenience due the weather and we will pick up as soon as we can” that’s the real SPECIALIST supposed to response. Made me so laugh. Since they never said sorry, I respond as “I accept your apology but you could come and collect recycles, why not burnable if you say it’s because of the weather ? “. They ignored answer to it and just gave me copy and paste email from their website. I asked “what if I didn’t email you, did you just skipped the collecting day even we have a contract which you should pick up twice a month ?” They said “we will pick up as soon as possible on next business day OR next your scheduled day”. COME ON, we are paying for TWICE picking up for a month, not for once a month. So I asked “Then you should refund or discount from next bill right ?” They said they WILL NOT do that. Even they asked me to just use any box and put the trash into it so that they can pick up. WHY would I do the hustle ? Find a box and carry it to the top of driveway and bring that box back to house again ? Why would I do that ??????? W*F kind of business they have ????? Cheating someone’s money ?? What a nice business. Just make tons excuses and steal customers money ? I wish there are much more companies picking up trashes in this town so I can pick much better company. I’m not saying that they must pick up trashes no matter what disaster out there. I am saying how the word “Sorry” is important and admit what they did not do which is on contract. Do not make excuse to what YOU DIDNT. Just do your job since you’re making money from it.

Joy Of Sweets Menu with Prices 2120 Washington Cir #262, Arlington

Sugar Bee was super easy to work with. We had a bridal cake and a groom’s cake for our wedding. My cake had a gluten free layer on top (because I have allergies) and it was delicious! We paid the same cost for that layer as all of the others, which is very uncommon. Usually there is a huge upcharge for gluten free cake. I’m told that the other flavors were amazing too. The cakes themselves were exactly what we had envisioned, and we couldn’t have been happier with them. I would definitely recommend them for any bride, especially one with food allergies. We can’t wait to get our free cake for our first anniversary!

The Porch at ETX – Menu with Prices – 221 S Broadway Ave, Tyler

The ETX Sampler with Wisconsin cheese curds, fried green beans and fried onion/jalapenos is AMAZING. I’m extremely picky but I could eat nothing but the fried green beans and be happy – they are better than any I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. I ordered a burger with bacon, which was amazing but a bit “rare” for my liking. I’m not knocking them for that though because my fiance ordered for me and who knows how he told them to cook it. (Disclaimer, I’m a well-done burger person). We also ordered two kid meals – they both got mac & cheese with fries. This isn’t Kraft mac & cheese – if it isn’t homemade, they disguise it WELL. It’s super creamy and a really great sized portion (my three year old couldn’t finish hers, my eight year old did but said she was FULL). The coolest part of the kids meal is that, instead of a tray, they serve it on an upside down Frisbee. The girls didn’t realize this and were tickled to find out their “surprise”. A few general notes — there is a free parking garage just a few blocks down from the restaurant, as well as some street parking but we had to walk a little ways (nothing to complain about, but just trying to be thorough with my review!). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, and when I needed to make some dietary substitutions, they had great suggestions. When eating out as a family of four, we typically try to be thrifty – this was definitely a “splurge” meal for us. Two burgers, two kid meals and four drinks cost $60. However, the food was great, the atmosphere is awesome, and we had an awesome night out. We will definitely be eating here again, if not just for the fried green beans!
