This counter ordering restaurant is located inside the Edison Mall at the Food Court. The service ordering was quick and easy as they have a pretty basic menu. Chicken, Beef, Shrimp or Veggie with a few sides offered. The meal took a little longer to wait for mainly because it seemed to be cooked to order. The rice and veggies are ready but the main item is cooked to order. Drinks are your basic Coke offerings through their fountain. Meal was hot and relatively tasty. Beef was cooked fine but the teriyaki sauce could have been a little more infused with the beef. But then again it is food court food so not that bad considering.

Chinese Wok – Menu with Prices – AA Marketplace, 13220 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove

Not to be confused with China Wok at Ralph’s, this place is located inside the small food court at AA Market. Prices are pretty reasonable and portions are decent. I didn’t order the combos, but got the family meal. Fried rice- not exactly the best. Rice was kind of dry. Chow Mein- yum. Better than the rice! Cabbage that hey put in was a bit undercooked though. Orange chicken- decent, but soggy. Broccoli beef- some broccoli was over cooked and some were just right. Beef is really tender and delicious- they do coat it in flour or something to make it soft. Curry chicken- the star of all I got. I believe his is a viet style curry with simple ingredients of chicken and potato. The chicken is cooked so long that it breaks apart when you pick it up. It is also flavorful. Ordered online via yelp eats, order was ready when I got there. Friendly service. Would come back again for the curry chicken!

Crescendo Cafe – Menu with Prices – 5501 U.S. Hwy 30 W, Fort Wayne

We love coming to Sweetwater for lunch. The chefs prepare fresh and healthy food each day. There is some unique ideas that I wouldn’t think to make but are really tasty. I really like the jerk chicken meal that I had one week that came with rice. I also love the dessert selection that they have. The prices are fair and reasonable and I think that employees get a discount. You don’t even have to clean off your tray they do everything for you. The Crescendo Café has Debrands truffles which are my favorites. TIP: If you want Coke Zero or other variations there is a coke freestyle machine at the Crescendo Café but not in the main area.

Asian Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 4160 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon around 2pm and almost immediately I was warmly greeted by the gentleman working. I had just stopped intending to get a menu for the future but it smelled so good in there I ended up ordering the lunch special beef with pea pods to go. It was made fresh to order and as I waited I checked out the offerings on the lunch buffet they offer. It had a very wide variety including 2 different soups, crab ragoons and eggrolls. They also offer buffet to go and sell it by the pound. The restaurant was dimly lit but clean. After about 10 minutes my order was ready. I got home and oh my goodness, it was SO good. Excellent flavor, tender and generous amounts of beef, perfectly cooked peapods. There was enough that I has 1/2 for lunch and the other 1/2 for dinner. I can’t wait to return to try out more.

House of Kabob – Menu with Prices – 1212 Sparkman Dr NW, Huntsville

Very friendly staff. We were served by I assume the proprietor based on how she was talking. She gave us an extra soup and also brought my daughter crayons and paper to color. We were also checked on at least three times by another friendly employee. The food was delicious. I had a two kabob combo, chicken and beef, and my wife had a chicken and beef kabob a la carte. The odd thing was that my chicken kabob was chunks of chicken and hers was ground. Both of them were very flavorful, especially with the taziki, but we the menu wasn’t clear on what the difference was. I enjoyed the soup very much as well. I could see ordering that soup as a main entree on a winter day, maybe with some pita. The worst I can say is that I wish I had ordered more, as I didn’t know what the portion sizes would be, and I wish they had fountain drinks as opposed to cans. Other than that, very positive experience. We will definitely be back.

The Green Olive Mediterranean Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 3580 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach

Was here from Day 1 when they opened this Restaurant. Witnessed how they improved their service and facilities. Owner, together with his family and a couple of hired helped turned this place to a hot spot of Mediterranean food. They started out with combo meals and now they are catering for over 40 person serving. They are now expanding their dining areas with an alfresco outdoor dining area, looking to be about ready by this summer. It is also a great convenience that they have a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks when you dont fancy the fountain. Cold drinks include iced coffee from starbs, energy drinks, Mexican & Mediterranean drinks, water, and fruit drinks available in 8oz 16oz, and 1 liter sizes. Chips, trail mix, beef jerky and ice cream are also available. There will be a line during lunch time for dine-in, to-go and uber deliveries. Combo meal comes with viand, rice, pita bread, and dip. Meal costs around +/- $12.00. Has restroom for customers. It has now become a legitimate competition from The Pan also located within the property.

Sakura Elite – Menu with Prices – 300 Monticello Ave, Norfolk

Mall Japanese food. It’s something that I get a hankering for every now and again. It is what it is, essentially the fast food version of the type of meal you’d get at Teppanyaki style Japanese Steakhouse. Sakura Elite is this type of place, not unlike many that exist in malls all over the world, and they do a solid job of delivering a consistent level of quality. At the MacArthur Mall food court (where Sakura Elite resides) it’s one of my go to spots for a quick and decent meal. Like most Mall Japanese (and often other Mall style Asian restaurants in general) this is one of those places that will go out of their way to grab the attention of all who may happen to walk by for the express purpose of giving out a free sample of their Chicken Teriyaki on a a toothpick. This must be an effective strategy for two reasons. Number one, these places have been doing this for probably over 30 years now, and number two, the chicken teriyaki sample on the toothpick is usually pretty darn tasty. Chicken Teriyaki is the main draw here. However, beef and shrimp are available as well, not to mention combinations of any two out of the three (although I’m sure they’d sell you a container with all three at once for additional cost if you really wanted it). The quality of the meat is not all that high. The beef for example is basically like really good quality steak-ums. All meals come with your choice of fried rice, white rice, or for about $1 extra lo mein (not exactly Japanese, but whatever). You also get a scoop of steamed veggies (usually a combination of cabbage, carrots, and brocoli) as well. That’s the basic meal, and they give you a pretty large portion of the things I noted above. They also have vegetable tempura, harumaki, and shumai if you want a little something extra. There’s also a Bento Box meal that comes with some of the things mentioned above plus a fully deep fried Volcano roll. Overall the food is pretty tasty, but then again in my experience the whole “Mall Japanese food” thing is very difficult to screw up. Sakura Elite isn’t really any better or worse than any other similar food court Japanese places I’ve been. If you like this kind of stuff, you’ll be just fine here. One thing to note is the price. Sakura Elite, and other establishments of it’s ilk, can be slightly pricier than say other mall fast food. It’s certainly much cheaper than say a “true” Japanese restaurant, but it’s not all that inexpensive. Again though, the portions are pretty large, so you get your money’s worth IMO. The bottom line is that if you like Mall Japanese food, then you won’t be disappointed at Sakura Elite. If you’ve never had Mall Japanese food, and you like it’s pricier cousin Hibachi, you should also like Sakura Elite, as long your expectations aren’t too high.

Tuk Tuk Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1132 Maunakea St, Honolulu

As I do my unofficial rounds in Chinatown as the Unofficial Honolulu Chinatown Mayor, I’ve passed Tuk Tuk Cafe (TTK) many, many times. I’ve seen many people eat the food from here and it looks promising. I’ve seen many Thai people eat here which to me is a good indicator of their authenticity. Located in the Mauka side of Maunakea Marketplace Food Court , TTC is one of two Thai food stalls in this area. It’s operated by 3 females who work in sync to deliver plates of food. The ordering process is simple. Look up at their menu of pictures with assigned numbers to each dish. Menu is limited but a decent selection to choose from. I wasn’t hungry where I needed to eat volume (plate lunch with 2 scoops rice and mac salad) I opted for #8 Pad Woon Sen. You can select your protein and for a $1 more I ended up with seafood. After paying for my meal I sat down in the dining area with AIR CONDITIONING. After many, many months of HOT and uncomfortable conditions in the Maunakea Marketplace Food Court, you can sit and enjoy a meal here now. Food is made-to-order here. It’s a 3-person crew here where one takes your order and collects money, the other preps the ingredients and the other is behind the gas stove cooking. There was a person in front of me and my waiting time was minimal. The friendly elderly lady called me when my food was ready. She asked if I wanted to add condiments and had me check my food before packing it. They have a small condiment bar where I grabbed some chili sauce and fish sauce. The verdict – – food was really good. It somewhat reminded me of the street food I had when I visited Thailand. I enjoyed the long rice cooked thoroughly and seasoned well. To be honest I wasn’t really thrilled with the seafood inside. They put processed fish balls cut in half, calamari and odd pieces of shrimp that made me wonder why. It wasn’t the full size. A large chunk of the shrimp’s body had been severed off… The very next day, I went back and this time I opted for fried chicken wings. Because this is made-to-order I was advised a 15-minute wait which was fine. While chilling in the nice AC area I was soon called upon as my wings were ready. The wings were marinated nicely as it was flavorful. They don’t use a batter coating so it was just chicken. An order gave you 4 full wings accompanied with a sweet chili sauce. To be frank, the wings were not what I was expecting but they were tasty. Overall, a very solid place if you’re looking to get Thai Food in Chinatown. With AC in the dining area you can now sit down and enjoy an authentic meal in the food court.

Lobby Court Bar – Menu with Prices – 24 Public Square, Cleveland

Just went here for lunch. I work downtown at QuickenLoans and wanted to always try the Lobby Court. Since Sans Souci is now only used for breakfast, the Lobby Court is the new lunch and dinner place in the Renaissance. Obviously the environment is beautiful being right off the lobby in the this gorgeous hotel so that in itself gets five stars. I’ve came to the Lobby Court Bar for drinks in the past and always enjoyed the atmosphere and the drinks are always top notch. The bartenders are always friendly, well-mannered, and attentive. I sat down and ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, the bartender without asking poured a little for me to taste ahead of time before pouring the full glass. I always find that a great sign of good service and being courteous. I ordered the Turkey Club. It came with bacon, swiss, lettuce, and tomato. It typically comes with mayo but I asked for their house balsamic vinaigrette on the side instead as I’m not a fan of mayonnaise. It turned out to be a delicious pairing! I had fries as my side as well and they are very tasty, a little salty but nonetheless delicious. The Lobby Court is a little pricey for lunch while working but honestly with the atmosphere, the good service, an tasty food – it’s worth it! Check it out.

The Blasian Asian – Menu with Prices – 202 S University Parks Dr #2238, Waco

*** UPDATED Review After reading the restaurant’s response to my first review below, we decided to give them another try. We ordered the Blasian Asian combo (1 skewer each chicken, pork, and beef, with noodles and 2 “egg rolls” (similar to fried spring rolls at many Asian restaurants). We also got an order of 3 cold summer/spring rolls. They serve semi-cool drinks in bottles, with no cups or ice. It was $24+, including 1 bottle water and 1 Diet Coke. I think that’s quite expensive for a food truck, but it had great reviews, so hopefully it would be worth the high price. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. The food was ready in about 5 minutes. When the combo plate arrived, the visuals made my heart and stomach sink. The noodles looked to be swimming in oil, and while somewhat tasty, they were very oily. The meat on the skewers was Extremely difficult to remove. The chicken had a light curry flavor, the pork somewhat flavorful and fatty, and the beef had no flavor. They were all over-cooked. The egg rolls were the best and lightest flavored items on the plate. The fresh summer rolls were handmade, but didn’t have much flavor. I like them with peanut sauce, but these were served with ?sweet chili? sauce. Hubby found them to be good and “pure” tasting. At the end of the meal, our plates were empty and our hunger pains quelled, however, our senses were neither happy nor satisfied. I debated between 2 and 3 stars, and didn’t consider my first visit. We won’t return. I prefer Happy Wok for Asian food. That’s my personal opinion.

Bend Coffee Republic Menu with Prices 755 NE Greenwood Ave, Bend

Took awhile to make the drinks and dealt with 2 different ladies and felt both didn’t communicate clearly and was shocked when our total came to $15.50. This was for two 16oz strawberry smoothies one infused with redbull and a blueberry muffin. It would have been nice to know that there would be a $3.50 charge for the redbull for the infused drink. I will not be going back the drinks weren’t good and the muffin tasted rotten. This is the worst coffee stand I’ve ever been too.

Ruby Thai Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 6330 Park City Center, Lancaster

Ruby Thai Kitchen is a good place to stop for fast food style Asian food, which is not really authentic Thai food, but closer to being like “Panda Express” Chinese food. They offer several Thai style meat dishes (mostly chicken choices), noodles, rice, vegetables, fried appetizers, Coke products, and bottled drinks. As for the pricing, they offer 1 Meat ($4.99 w 1 side/$5.59 w 2 sides), 2 Meats ($5.99 w 1 side/$6.59 w 2 sides), 3 Meats ($6.99 w 1 side/$7.59 w 2 sides), and Kids Meal ($4.59 with 1 meat, 1 side, & drink). Add an appetizer for $0.99 more. While shopping at Park City Center, I stopped in the food court for some dinner. I went with the 1 Meat 2 Sides ($5.59) and chose Thai Spicy Chicken with Veg Fried Rice, and Noodles and an Egg Roll ($0.99). The portion of food was good and just right. The main dish had boneless breaded cubed chicken pieces, celery, peppers, and onions, which a mild spicy taste. The noodles (lo mein) with onions was soft and oily. The fried rice had a mix of peas , carrots, and onion. The egg roll was quite good, which was filled with a dense mixture of carrot, cabbage, and soft chicken in a firm wrap shell, not greasy. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner in the food court which actually tasted pretty good, though it was similar to quick service Chinese food. (3.6 stars)
