I was at a conference and it was the dinner break and I was hungry and didn’t have much time. I had previously read about this place and wanted to try it. It was pretty packed in there so I made sure to look over the menu kind of quickly. I decided on the Super Nachos. My order came out quickly and the staff were very warm and friendly. The Super Nachos were amazing! I added chicken to mine! If I am ever in the area I am coming back to this place for sure!!

Express Chicken & Gyro Menu with Prices 848 Madison Ave, Albany

I wanted to give a good review because of all of the other reviews I read before going there. I went here because I had a craving for fried chicken, potatoes and a biscuit. The interior of the place is very clean, very large menu is nicely displayed and staff were very accommodating. I ordered a 12 piece meal that was crammed into what I would describe as a KFC biscuit box for $20. I asked because I couldn’t believe 12 pieces of chicken would fit in this small box. This would usually come in a bucket. I explained that to the young man and he added 2 extra pieces of chicken to the order. When I opened the box at home and tried to count them some pieces were broken Or really small so that is why it did not look like 12 pieces. Even for fried chicken it was very greasy because of the way it was packed and the seasoning was overly salty to me. As my bag was being packed I mentioned we were supposed to get 4 biscuits with our meal. They said they changed their bread and the young man put 6 Saralee dinner rolls in my bag. That was so disappointing. That is something they should have mentioned. I don’t eat fast food often but I do like my biscuit with fried chicken. I got the usually instant mashed potatoes with gravy. They were typical. The Cole slaw had a strong vinegar taste. We also ordered a grilled chicken salad. It’s very big. It was not mine but I tasted a small piece of the chicken, it’s not over salted. It’s actually big enough to share with another person. Lastly we got a piece of tres Leche cake. They don’t make it there and I haven’t tasted it yet. My final opinion is…I’m not sure I would return here. I thought maybe I’d want to come back and try a gyro but I don’t think so now. My suggestion is if you are going to substitute something, tell your customer at the time they are making the order so they can decide if they want to continue with their order. I would have went somewhere else if I was aware the biscuits were going to be substituted. I love my bread but I wanted a biscuit. Best of luck to your business.

The Crooked Cue – Menu with Prices – 75 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga

I came here on a Saturday with a couple of my boys. A friend of mine had recommended me this place. I have never really been here before, so I thought I would give it a try. Atmosphere-It was really packed. Live and simple. I do really dig the fireplace setup which gives it a modern cozy feeling. The only downside to it was that they crammed all the tables, booth and the bar together which only gave you enough room for one body to squeeze by. Service-I thought the service was pretty good, especially on a Saturday evening. We got seated really quickly, with no wait time. The host, manager and waiter was really friendly as well. Food-I ordered the Calamari and I was not too fond of it. It tasted like calamari you would get at a cheap buffet. Also, it did taste a bit uncooked. My boyfriend ordered The Big Kevy Mac Nachos, which wasn’t too bad. It just tasted like any other Nachos. The good part about the Nachos was that it was huge! We couldn’t even finish it, considering there were three of us. The third order was the New Orleans Jambalaya. That…my…friend…was amazing. It was really flavourful with the right level of spiciness. I love how the rice was covered in a good amount of sauce and the chicken was cooked just about right. Beer-I love their wide variety of beer and cocktails. My favourite was the Fruli Strawberry whit bier. For those that love fruity drinks, I would highly recommend this one. Would I come back? Yes, especially for their Jambalaya and beer. Would I recommend this place? Yes.

Oscar’s Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 3138 S Church St A, Murfreesboro

I generally will never give anyone higher than 4 stars because there’s always room for improvement. We drove up from Manchester for date night, and we were not disappointed. He ordered the fajita nachos, and I order the taco (beef) and tostada (chicken) combo. Everything was pulled high, and it it was good, quality ingredients. While the nachos were lacking a bit in flavor, they were still good! The beans and rice were sooo good! The menu is PACKED full of amazing options and the cashier was extremely helpful, giving us tips from the menu since we had never been there before. They were friendly and quick. We will definitely be going back, and recommending this place to others?

Tzin Wine & Tapas – Menu with Prices – 10115 104 St NW, Edmonton

My experiences so far have only been OK. I’ve been here about three times now, still waiting to have the wow experience that everyone else keeps telling me I’m going to have! I’ve been making my way through the tapas menu and so far everything I’ve tried has been great. Last night, I made some reservations for wine after dinner. We were seated quickly, no issue. We did not want to eat though, just wanted wine, and it seemed like our server did not like that. We tried to order a bottle of Zinfindal and all he said was, “no.” We asked if they were out and he just kept saying, “no” with no explanation, so we had a bottle of Pino Noir. I was kind of confused there because this purported as a wine bar so is it so weird that guests would order wine? Other than that the experience was pleasant! After some time our server kind of warmed up to us and was being a lot more friendly. The space is small, lovely and warm, and makes for some great ambiance. I’m all about small places like this. I also love sitting in close proximity because we got to engage with some other tables! There was a woman walking around taking care of tables as well and she was also very friendly! In my prior visits here I ordered the patatas bravas which are the best! You can win my heart with that dish. I read all these glowing reviews and feel a bit sad that mine haven’t been the same. I think I will try a few more times though because the food and ambiance make it worth a shot.

Mexican Cantina – Menu with Prices – 1736 Victory Blvd, Staten Island

This was a Mexican Catina, it closed, became a place called Mulligan’s, it closed, and now we are back to the Catina. GREAT NEWS! I really enjoyed the first edition of the Catina at this location so needless to say I was very excited. We arrived at 7pm, prime time for dinner here on the Island and it was empty. Very fresh start here in terms of the visuals of the place but we will cut them some slack since they just opened their doors. No liquor yet, so that was a bit of a bummer. Again, they literally just got back into the swing of things so not going to hold that against them in the least sense. We sat where we wanted and were greeted with menus promptly and ordered our drinks. The menu had your typical Mexican fare but was a little short, we started off by ordering the Nachos with Chicken as our protein. I would have loved for it to come out quicker but that was not the case, again, not holding this against the spot with my score, I’ll get to that in a bit. The nachos were really good. The corn chips tasted authentic and the chicken was tasty. A very nice peppery flavor to the chicken but not overly seasoned. It was slightly greasy but had a comfort food feel to it which is great for a Friday evening. My wife ordered the Mix of Three Fajitas (Steak, Chicken, and Shrimp) and I ordered the Steak Quesadillas. Again the food did not come out as quickly as I wanted but I didn’t care because I really enjoyed the nachos and was pumped for the rest. The entrees came and the portions were adequate. The Fajita was SIZZLING up a storm and the aroma was wonderful. My quesadillas were quite inviting and I was ready to dig in. So I did. Here is where my score hits. I tasted the chicken from the nachos. I was perplexed. This didn’t have the same consistency as the chicken, it was DEFINITELY steak. I took some of my wife’s chicken off her sizzle pan and tasted it. Sure enough, the flavor was exact of the steak. I then had to taste her shrimp. Lo and Behold it tasted identical. A peppery flavor. Whatever marinade or lack there of they are using on these dishes is identical and not pleasant if you are trying to switch it up. It was very disappointing to come to this end on my Friday evening out with my family. The menu at the Original Catina that was here was awesome and if you’ve been here before, do not expect the same quality. I probably won’t give it another try but maybe one day they’ll nail it. The staff was very friendly. If I had known this was going to be my flavor experience I would have went down the road to Mezcal’s. Don’t let me deter you, this is just my take on the place. Go try it for yourself and let me know if you enjoyed it.

Pinches Tacos & Beer Menu with Prices 2618 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo

We ordered the asada nachos and they were just the regular nacho cheese nachos… Not the greatest and also an order of Barbacoa tacos… The tórtialls are awesome like homemade the meat was just ok had an over smoked taste leaning towards maybe a burnt taste… But I’m super picky about tacos they have to be better than mine… Anyway the salsa we got red and green… The green was ok but the red was not good at all too much oregano… The place was super clean the service was great just one lady she handle everyone on her own and kept on checking on us (about 5 tables 2 to 4 people) now their menu doesn’t have a whole lot if you have kids it’s not really kid friendly especially since kiddos can be so picky so either feed your kids or take something for them…. (I had my 3 yr daughter with me and she wouldn’t eat anything) but over all it was a decent experience and depends on how much u like tacos but for us we’ll let’s just say we won’t be returning…. But good luck if you decide to try it. ð??ð??ð?? OH BY THE WAY I’M NOT A DRINKER BUT DON’T EXPECT ANY BEER THEY DON’T SELL ANY SO THAT CAN BE MISLEADING TO SOME

Twin Tiger Ice cream and Funnel Cake Cafe – Menu with Prices – 430 Newtown Rd, Virginia Beach

I should’ve written a review, long ago…I was a customer when the establishment was a funnel cake truck I’d catch on front of Sam’s. I was super excited when I learned that a cafe was opening! I brought my little diva here for lunch with the intention of having a yummy funnel cake for dessert. I ordered chicken wing baskets for us both; mine were sweet chili and hers bbq. I’m the greedy chick when it comes to wings…when I tell you I crushed those wings, I CRUSHED THEM! Lol…I can honestly say this is probably going to be my new spot for wings! The basket came with 8 wings, seasoned fries, and a roll. Wish the roll would’ve been some cole slaw (that’s the greedy chick talking), but it was all good! They were hot and seasoned and sauced to perfection…and I got more flats than drums in my order . My baby girl crushed hers, too! Neither of us had room for the funnel cake after…we’ll be back soon for that (the turtle funnel cake has been calling my name!!!). I’ve also had chicken tenders and nachos in the past…chicken tenders were awesome (real meat, flavorful, and juicy); the nachos were ok. They also offer Nathan’s hotdogs, spicy sausages, chicken and waffles, ice cream, and more sweet delectables (wish I would’ve taken a pic of the menu). If you haven’t already indulged in the goodness all up in here, do yourself a favor and go! I thunk it’ll quickly become one of your favorites! I also have to note that the atmosphere is very cool and family friendly…from playing Pac-Man and other old school favorites and shooting hoops to the Kids Bop music videos and Disney movie playing on the TVs, there’s a lil something for everybody in the family!

Drury Plaza Hotel Cleveland Downtown – Menu with Prices – 1380 E 6th St, Cleveland

As part of our family trek to Cedar Point, we decided to fly into Cleveland instead of Toledo and do a little exploring in Cleveland for a couple of days. When looking for a hotel, we came across this gem and are so happy we booked it. First off, the building itself used to be the old Board of Education building. I learned some history quickly about it from the super friendly valet, Chip, who came out to greet us when we pulled up with our rental from our trip from the airport. The building was built in 1931 and underwent a three renovation to become the hotel in time for the Republican convention in 2016. It truly is an impressive building for sure. Speaking of the valet, I felt it was worth it. They have unlimited in / out service, you just have to call them with your ticket number, and they’ll bring the car up for you. Great service. Check in process was super easy. The staff was very friendly, and while we arrive WELL before check in time, they accommodated us with a great room on the 4th floor. The decor of this place is fantastic. It feels some warm and homey in this hotel. The room has 11-12ft ceilings, which makes the room feel huge. Big cavernous bathrooms with a massive countertop. We had a view of the square & fountain. They also have this happy hour deal that I believe goes from 5-7pm where each adult gets THREE drink coupons for alcoholic beverages during the happy hour. It’s a limited bar, but they have all the popular drinks. They also have food at this happy hour, which essentially, can be your dinner if you wanted it to be. Over the course of our stay, they had chicken tenders, tacos, hot dogs, nachos, salad, and much more. It wasn’t 5-star food, mind you, but wow, what a nice touch. You could get a quick little appetizer and pre-dinner drink here, which is exactly what we did. There’s also a pool in the basement with a separate large hot tub / spa. The pool is a bit weird as it’s sort of like a halfway above ground, but it’s super nice. There’s no deep end, so kids can be safe in the pool. A few of the times we went down there, we had the run of the area, as nobody was using the pool. That was awesome. You are downtown, but within walking distance to quite a few things. Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, First Energy Stadium, the waterfront area, etc. There’s also an area not too far that has a street blocked off with a bunch of different dining options. Oh, and if you’re into architecture, you’ll need to check out the Arcade. All in all, this was awesome an experience you could have at a hotel. The place felt like home for a few days and the staff was super friendly. If / when I make it back to Cleveland, there’s no debate on where I’ll be staying.

Coffee Nature – Menu with Prices – 355 Bristol St #U, Costa Mesa

Pleasant experience today. I am awaiting an appointment nearby and was helped by a kind young lady with long wavy light brown hair, wish I knew her name. She greeted me with a genuine smile, took her time with me since I’ve never been here before and politely explained things to me as far as ringing me up goes. I ordered their turkey panini with an iced white tea + added honey. It came in at about $13 plus 15% tip. Well worth it, the white tea is refreshing and not overly sweet. Their panini was quality and the crunch of their bread was satisfying. Just for the kind and genuine service and aesthetically pleasing decor was worth a trip in here. I have been in this plaza previously and due to the sign and name “Coffee Nature,” it seemed like a standard coffee shop that I assumed probably had subpar items. Boy! I was wrong, you can tell by the atmosphere here this place is calm, friendly and had good vibes for sure! I wish this place was near my house in Laguna Hills, definitely wonderful for studying as I see how insanely packed they are with nice looking clientele. Just a bunch of chill folk, enjoying what looked like delicious coffee and being productive. Wish I could try their coffee but unfortunately I already had mine this morning and didn’t want to overdo myself. I love the whole concept in here, the swinging seats were super adorable against the green, leafy artwork. Makes me want to open a coffee shop ? Great job on this and for your pleasant staff. I’d love to come back, if you are reading this and debating on coming…just do it. Their stuff is quality and the atmosphere is nice.

Rachel’s Cafe & Creperie – Menu with Prices – 201 W Walnut St, Lancaster

Full disclosure: I’ve wanted to go to Rachel’s for a few years and it just hasn’t happened. We frequent Lancaster A LOT and just always go someplace different. This past weekend we were going to a concert and I KNEW we had to go to Rachel’s for dinner before the show. We arrived around 4pm on Friday and it wasn’t busy, however there were a few parties on the deck. We decided to sit outside because it was gorgeous and this is a cafe, so it’s just the vibe. We ordered two coffees. One was a basic iced coffee with honey and cream and one mocha Nutella latte. Both were amazing. I am picky when it comes to coffee and this met and exceeded the mark. We ordered a Capri crepe, which was a tomato caprese crepe. I added the side of hash browns for a dollar, because I was starving. My spouse ordered the blackbird which is like a southwest chicken crepe. Our order arrived within 7 minutes, was warm, and tasted amazing!! The crepes were served almost burrito style, so you could pick it up and eat it. The hash browns were seasoned perfectly. We didn’t have a single issue with our crepes. Our server was amazing and super attentive. We ordered the pecan turtle cheesecake crepe to finish our meal and shared it. Let’s be honest, we were full but HAD to have a dessert crepe. Again, came out super quick. It was amazing. It had the perfect amount of filling and super thin batter. The whipped cream was fresh made as well. All in all, we were super impressed and CANNOT wait to go back here again. We plan to take friends with us next time, as this place is too good to keep to ourselves.

Coco Loco Juice & Eats Menu with Prices 2353 S Havana St D-14, Aurora

I am a frequent customer, I have been there countless times and always had a great experience until today. I came in excited because I had finally filled my reward card for a free item. I showed it to the cashier and she gave me the “cheapest” item for free. I ordered the loco nachos with grilled chicken and a bowl. She told me she was giving me the nachos for free yet still charged me 2.50 for the chicken that was added to the nachos. So then I paid and asked her if I could get another reward card, she said “you’re going to have to come back next week. We dont have any right now” Okay I said that is fine so should I keep my receipt so that I can get credit for this purchase and she said “No we don’t hole punch past purchases” This makes no sense, I would have gotten a hole punch if they had the reward cards but since they didn’t I can no longer get credit for that purchase. That is not my fault. They prepared my food and placed it on the counter and all she said was “here are the nachos” then walked away. Not even a “thank you or have a good day”. This experience really made me feel like never going back at least for a long while.

The Naked Dog Savannah – Menu with Prices – 502 E River St, Savannah

And of course, when you are a foodie, you like to try things at both ends of the cuisine spectrum, and with good food and fine dining, I also wanted to check out a street vendor or two. The Naked Dog is a great little food stand in the River Street Marketplace. I ordered the Jumbo Chicago Dog and the Nacho Chili Pie (Nachos with Chili and Cheese). The nachos were good, but boy, do they cook a mean hot dog! My hot dog was juicy and full of flavor, and the neion relish was unlike anything I’ve ever had (the toppings all together made it taste like the relish was brined or pickled with hot peppers – I found it to be quite a refreshing change, and I love being pleasantly surprised like that when I order a dish from a place were I’ve never eaten before. Tables are right outside with a spectacular view of the Savannah River, and the freelance guitar player who happened to be there on Friday definitely added to the experience. Definitely coming back here again.
