There is FAR too much competition out there to take on an attitude like I got. Everyone makes mistakes. Own it and move on. I enjoyed my brunch. If I was rating the food it would be five stars. I had the breakfast bowl. It had biscuits and gravy, bacon, and a fried egg. I enjoyed every bit of this part of my visit. The bacon was thick and smokey, the gravy was creamy and seasoned well, and the egg was perfect. I ordered the Mexican lager with my meal. I was happy with it enough to order a growler fill for a family gathering I was heading to. This is where my experience with Trubble goes south. It took a minimum of 15 minutes to get my growler back. The waitress apologized several times. I wasn’t in a hurry so I told her no worries. She came out and said the keg blew and they were changing it. Again, no worries. The growler went straight in to a cooler of ice and I got to my family gathering 15 minutes later. I poured my first beer out of the growler and the first thing I noticed was how “muddy” it was. The second thing I noticed was it was nearly flat. I dumped it and poured another. Muddy and flat. I was disappointed but I know how things like this happen. I thought I would message the brewery and let them know about my experience. See the attached photo. SOMEHOW, it was all my fault. You can tell they were 100% confident in that because they didnt even lead with anything close to an apology or even any empathy whatsoever. I got the Tommy Boy “What did you do????” I gave them two stars because I have had much better and been treated much better by many other breweries. Like I said, there is too much competition out there to be treating customers poorly. #FAIL

5 Points Growlers Menu with Prices 3687 Atlanta Hwy, Athens

Decent selection of beer but that should be a given when walking into a growler shop. This review will simply be about the things that led to this place only getting two stars. 1. Fewer options than most growler places I’ve been 2. The employee who was working was unfriendly and seemed stand offish 3. 50 cent for each sample and only 4 samples max (how is this even a thing at a growler spot??) 4. If you have your own growler that isn’t from them and it isn’t clean there is a 50 cent charge to clean it While 50 cent is obviously a drop in the bucket it’s the fact that they charge anything for those things in the first place. Been to better but at least they had some beers that we often don’t have where I’m from.

Maple Street Biscuit Company- Gunbarrel – Menu with Prices – 2114 Gunbarrel Rd, Chattanooga

This is a very trendy , modern eatery with an industrial vibe. There are huge wood tables with steel pipe bases and urban mod gun metal seating. The lighting is interesting and has the vintage Edison bulb look. The menu is different and consists of biscuits and a variety of different options to have your biscuits plates ( with chicken or bacon , add egg, with sausage gravy or shiitake mushroom gravy on top ). I ordered my gravy on the side , but unfortunately it came smothered atop of my food . There are also waffles and a variety of syrups, jams, apple butter and other possibilities to provide the most from your biscuit experience. I have 3 stars because the order wasn’t quite correct (( thus gravy smothered over food instead of on the side )) I did mention this to the counter associate and she politely offered to replace it , but do to the time constraints I declined. I would say the biscuits are not What I am typically used to eating because I grew up in a huge southern family that grandma and mom made homemade biscuits almost daily and these seemed like a different kind of biscuit. This seems to be a popular venue as there were customers flowing. They do have “bus your own table sign” that in itself wasn’t horrible. The meal ticket for 2 ( each having the farmers market which was 1 biscuit w a breaded chicken and bacon w egg and gravy on top ) also (2 ice tea ) 1 small cup grits $32!

Muddy Lotus Tea Kava Bar – Menu with Prices – 520 NE 1st Ave, Ocala

Muddy Lotus Tea is truly a gift for those of us in Ocala who do not like alcohol bars, yet want to experience nightlife. Itâ??s also a gift for those of us who work remotely and want a change of scenery during the work day. I love to come here, day or night. Itâ??s beautiful to watch everyone being welcomed inside with a cheer of â??HEY! WELCOME!â? from staff and customers alike. It feels like a home away from home because they are such a family-style business. I appreciate how knowledgeable the staff is and how accommodating they are for food allergies. The staff continually shocks me with their above-and-beyond service. This week had a perfect example of that: a friendâ??s car was having issues, so the manager crawled under the car to find the issue and helped fix it so my friend could get home safely. That doesnâ??t happen at other bars… The owners are also so kind and have supported the local community, including all types of artists and other businesses. I competed in their Drop The Mic singing competition and won, but it didnâ??t stop there: I continue to receive kindness and support from the Muddy Lotus Tea team and patrons in my singing journey. I love to sing karaoke there on Thursdays and dance with flow artists on Saturdays. I am so thankful this place exists. BULA!

Binky’S Full Lottery Menu with Prices 1180 SE 3rd St, Bend

$6.50 GROWLER FILLS!?! Local Craft Beers!?! Seriously? This place is amazing! I don’t know how they do it, but I can get a growler filled for $6.50 and they have a great selection. I get Deschutes Brewery’s “Fresh Squeezed” for less than I can get it at Deschutes. I can get Boneyard Beer Company’s “RPM IPA” for less than I can get it at the Boneyard brewery! The staff is friendly and efficient. I’ve always been able to walk right up and place my order. A line is unheard of. The inside is nice and clean, and always quiet. I guess this place is using the low-priced growlers to bring in more customers for their lottery and video poker machines. I’ve never used them, but they seem to always be in use! I mentioned the $6.50 growler fills, (the cheapest in town as far as I can find), but what if you are NEW TO TOWN (like I was) or just visiting and don’t have a growler? Oh, no problem, these guys will sell you one AND fill it with your choice of suds for just $8.50! Where else can you buy a growler for $2.00 and have it filled for another $6.50? No where, that’s where. Go in and check these guys out. I’ve talked to the owners a time or two (mom and son team, I think) and they have just taken over ownership earlier this year. I’d love to see the place stick around (for obvious reasons), so the next time you need to get your growler filled, give them a shot! (There weren’t any reviews yet, so I thought I’d help them out with some pics too.)

Original Brunches – Menu with Prices – 2245 Leaphart Rd, Columbia

Went on 10-10-19 for lunch (11:30ish) and I hate to say it but it was terrible. We go to Brunches every other week, sometimes on a weekly basis so we were surprised at how bad it was. Even asked if they had a new cook, waitress said no. But my mashed potatoes and gravy were so runny they took up the whole plate. The gravy had lumps and chunks in it? Is that really brown gravy? It?s like they are taking it from the pot roast or something. I?ve noticed the last time the gravy had chunks of meat in it. ???? My mom?s spaghetti was dry with hardly any sauce in it. They said they ran out. ???? Just out right bad. It?s gonna to be awhile before we go back. Extremely disappointed because I love this place.

Mobtown Brewing Company Menu with Prices 4015 Foster Ave #400, Baltimore

Was very excited to stop in as I had heard so much about this place. I was with my fiancé and it was a Saturday afternoon, not busy, weird vibes, and not great beer. Not sure if it was just an off day, but experience her was just basic. Parking was fine as it is on the outskirts of the neighborhood in a renovated warehouse. Industrial feel inside with beautiful wall murals. There is a designated patio for dog with water. Kid and family friendly as we sat at a large communal table with a family. Have merchandise for purchase at the front. Crowley’s and growlers to go. Service was ok, kind of off putting. Didn’t say hello or welcome us in. Beer was ok. Nothing to rave about, or take a crowler/growler home with. 10 beers on tap, so we ordered a variety of pils, ipa’s, and goses on our flight to get an idea of what they make. I knew from the first sip it was all we would be ordering. All the beers tasted flat. Not much in terms of flavor profile from the hops or fruits added. The Gose has the most flavor but was too sour for my liking. Overall I would love to give this place another shot, but depends on what they have on tap- never know because it changes so often.

Chewie’s Biscuit Co – Menu with Prices – 2822 W 4th Ave, Vancouver

I’ve been here three times. I got the Moose twice and most recently, the biscuits and gravy with a chicken breast added. I also sampled the Bonut (in my case, the chocolate one). The Moose looks like a standard — their chicken-biscuit sandwich with cheese, bacon, and an egg, along with some gravy. It’s good, but a bit too busy for me, and some food items get a bit lost. I actually really enjoyed the biscuits-gravy-chicken option. It was more of their gravy, which is delicious (not like the tasteless gravy some places use to moisten their food). The Bonut was less sweet than I expected, and I was happy to try it, but it won’t be replacing an actual donut for me. Amazingly, they serve beer. I didn’t partake, but my friends did. The value is okay on the sandwiches, but not dips as you add additional items. It’s not hard to end up at $20 a head, which was surprising to me for what you’re getting. The inside of the restaurant is clean and simple. You can eat at tables, a booth, or a long counter in the front window of the restaurant. Service was excellent on one visit, passable on the other occasions. Parking is free on 4th and in the surrounding neighbourhood. Bottom line: I’ve been back three times, so that says something. Probably couldn’t go all the time, as their isn’t enough variety in the options. But what they do, they do pretty well.

Florence Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2425 Centre St, Montreal

A brand new coffeeshop and ice cream parlor opened in Pointe Saint Charles. From outside, it is still under construction. Inside, the restaurant is functional. The decor is simple and elegant but the counter area is not attractive. The place is still very plain for food wise. Few sandwiches and some bakeries (coming from Sophie Sucrée). When you go around the counter, you get your ice cream from gelatos to swirls. The workers are nice, but you have to be patient with them, they lack a bit of experience. I came here for early breakfast. I took a grilled cheese sandwich with a café latte. I am not sure if the clean their grill, because my sandwich smells bacon but I didn’t order bacon plus it was very chewy (not happy with it). I did notify the worker about the smell of bacon. They took the criticism very well, and they are trying to improve themselves. Every concerns and suggestions are very welcome. My Cafe latte was perfect. This place has a potential but couple of doors away, there is Clarke coffeeshop who offers amazing ranges of pastries, coffee, tea and mouth watering sandwiches. Florence has been open less than a week, and they have a heavy competition, and they need to bring their game up. Wishing them best of luck, maybe at my next visit I will change the stars… for now I give them 3 stars.

High Cotton Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – 598 Monroe Ave, Memphis

July 17, 2019 at 1818 hours: First and foremost, I think the blonde “bartender”working behind the counter needs to find a new occupation. I use the term “bartender” loosely due to the fact that it’s not very difficult to tend a bar when all you do is drop tap handles. As soon as I walked into the tap room, I could smell her resting *blank* face. Since she decided to ignore me, I was assisted by the shorter brunette bartender. I asked her if she had white growler lids so I could get my growler filled. She advised that they did not have the white lids, but she would attempt to jury-rig the ones that they had onto my growler. Now the fun part! So, I walked out to my car, and retrieved my growler. Now, I will note, most breweries will fill growlers from other breweries as long as you’re buying their product. I mean, come on, it’s money in the establishments pocket, right? Well, I was apparently wrong with this assumption of High Cotton, because when I walked in, they told me that they couldn’t fill another breweries growler- pffff, like it’s some kind of mortal sin! I then make a joke saying that the brewery is currently 0-2. Well, apparently that didn’t fly well with Miss Blondie Locks because she felt the need to send affirmations back towards High Cotton and tell me that I was indeed 0-2. So much for the customer being right… I will say High Cotton was my favorite brewery but, unfortunately, I will not be going back there again. P.S.

Joy Love Burgers – Menu with Prices – 6630 FM 1463 Suite A100, Katy

Went there for lunch today with a friend. It was our first time ever in any Joy Love Burgers’ store. Heard so much about the Mason Rd one and then Yelp sent me notification yesterday about the FM 1463 location as Hot place for you ? Well the store is kinda small for the lunch traffic which I believe is being generated from all the good reviews. By the time we finished ordering and getting our drinks a booth opened luckily. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Jalapenos and Fries and my friend ordered a Cheeseburger with Fries. It took 10 – 15 minutes for the order. Service at the counter was good, they were helpful and courteous. My Bacon Cheese Burger tasted very good juicy because of the vegetables not the burger patty, Bacon was crisp and crunchy. My friend did not have much issues with their burger. All they said that this cheeseburger was one level above the McDonald’s Quarter Pounder ? meaning they liked it. The only thing I had an issue with was that why are these new burger stores smashing the patty flat squeezing all the juices out. I think the Bacon Cheeseburger I got could be more juicy if it was prepared without smashing the the burger patty flat during the cook. Also it is pricey for the type of burger.

Maumee Bay Brew Pub – Menu with Prices – 27 Broadway St, Toledo

Wow! What a find. This place was everything you could ask for in a brewery. We flew out from San Francisco today on a road trip and have been having an awesome time. We tried pretty much every beer and really enjoyed the secret tap. Kevin was a great bartender and had wonderful recommendations. As a light beer drinker I enjoyed the Kolsch and the Mixed melon. My fiancé enjoyed the cherry porter. If you are in Toledo and you don’t stop by Maumee brewing you are making a mistake! P.s. You’ll hate yourself for not getting the growler special for a $6.50 refill.

My Deli Soup with a Colombian Twist – Menu with Prices – 560 Celebrate Virginia Pkwy, Fredericksburg

I can not recommend this restaurant enough. At first I had my doubts when I herd about the place because it was fairly new, but as soon as I walked in all worries went out the window. I was greeted cheerfully by the staff as soon as I walked in through the door. When I got in line, I noticed the atmosphere as chill/calm vibe of people going about their business in a leisurely pace. I placed my order and waited at a near by table. Sitting at the table, I took the time to look around at the decorations. It was very interesting to see that they had been placed deliberately to stand out while yet still providing a certain subtle elegance to its surroundings. Within about 7-10 minutes my food was done and the taste was amazing. Truly a unique experience. If you are nearby, this is the place is worth stopping and eating at.
