First time here and a solid 4/5. This used to be keothip which was pretty average. So I was excited to give this place a go. I was here with my gf and we got the small order of egg rolls which were amazing! Great crisp and great flavor in every bite. A definite to get if you want an appetizer. I order rare beef pho for my main entree and my gf ordered the wanton soup. The pho was good, not great but good. To me it was in the flavor of the broth…could have had a bit more flavor notes that I’m used to with pho. Nevertheless, a good bowl. This is why I gave a 4 instead of a 5 for my review. That being said my gf said her wanton soup was the “best” she has ever had. I should mention it looked great too. Lastly, I want to say the layout of the restaurant was nice, bright, and open. As keothip was dark and kinda gloomy, so this was a nice surprise in itself.

Nuro Noodles ???å??å?³?ç??è??? – Menu with Prices – 160-06 Northern Blvd, Flushing

I decided to give this place a try because it was a new spot with solid reviews and I love Taiwanese beef noodles. It was a rainy night but I still walked over. I had my mind set on trying both, so I ordered both the spicy beef noodle soup and tomato beef noodle soup. The lady was super friendly and nice as others have mentioned. One part of the experience is the service and although I took it to go, I felt very welcomed. A+ for that. I hurried back home and it was the moment of truth. I have tried many beef noodle soups before so I wanted to see how it compared. The first thing I noticed was how deep and rich the soup looked. The color was beautiful. The beef was nice, big chunks and the noodles looked al dente. I tried the soup of the tomato beef noodle and it was exactly as it looked: rich and full of flavor. Combined with the noodles, beef and pieces of bok choy, it was a winning combination. I was very impressed. The soup was on point, the beef was nice and tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. It met and maybe even exceeded expectations. Next, I tried the soup of the spicy beef noodle soup. Again, I was very satisfied. They are both excellent! My experience was great- not only was the owner super nice but the flavor was all on point. As you can see, this is my first review. I’ve tried a lot of places but never felt the need to write a review, but I felt like I had to write this review. Service was great, food was awesome! I’m a little sad that they only have a tiny shop inside a supermarket. I hope they will be able to have their own restaurant some day! Btw, sorry for the quality of the pictures. I also had to eat some before I took it.

Chinese Gourmet – Menu with Prices – 1809 Cedar Ave, The Bronx

When I do not feel like cooking or I don’t have anything in the fridge I buy my meals from here. These people are not rude nor they are disrespectful. Very nice employees and business owners. Why no one but me ever gave a review over the years since they have been here I have no idea. You guys know why. I wish Chinese Gourmet well. They are not your typical average Bronx business. What does that mean? Chinese Gourmet appreciates your business the other businesses do not. So give this place your business and boycott the others. Thank you. 3/14/18 A couple of days ago I ordered their vegetable soup with some skepticism & doubts of the possible good taste. Wow! The soup was amazing and tasty! I was surprised. I think I’m going to order most of their soups for now on. Especially when I get colds. I’ll make sure I order the chicken soup.

Seeds Library Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1001 Arapahoe Ave #6015, Boulder

I’ve walked by plenty of times and there always seems to be a line. Today I finally found out what the fuss is all about. With a 50% off coupon in tow (Chinook book) and a gal pal by my side I made my way in for a late lunch. The ordering process was simple as hanging blackboards reflected the offerings. I really appreciated that they clearly indicated items they were out of as well. Nothing bums me out more than when you have your heart set on a menu item only to find out it’s no longer available when you go to place your order. Staff were happy to provide samples of some of the offerings (soup) and answer most questions. While most if not all ingredients are sourced from the local Farmer’s Market it is unclear which ingredients are organic. While I went with the asparagus soup with bok choy and beet salad my friend went with the seasonal salad (it was adorned with fresh flowers! So pretty)and tomato soup. The tomato soup was outstanding. It tasted fresh and bright, basically a mouth-full of sunshine. My soup was quite nice as well with great smooth texture and color. While my salad was plentiful it didn’t have the flavor or appeal that my friend’s salad had. Guess I had a case of the lunch envies. There were a variety of seating options with plenty of windows to gaze out of. Overall nice uplifting dining experience.

ZingGa Grill – Menu with Prices – 26910 Sierra Hwy, Santa Clarita

I’m fired! Yes, I’m fired because I waited too long to give this place a shot. This is equivalent to Gyromania in terms of the love and attention that goes into preparing the food and good portions also IMO. I ordered the Bibimbap bowl with beef and it was off the hook. I’ve had this dish at many Korean restaurants and this was one of the best I’ve had. My friend ordered the Chicken Katsu lunch special and that also was prepared perfectly and the chicken was crunchy and tasty! Since it was our first time here, we tried the Tofu Soup and I will tell you, I will not pass that up next time I go there and the owners we’re so kind, they gave us a sample of there Egg Drop Soup which was equally excellent in flavor. Lastly, it seemed to be family-owned and they greeted us coming through the door and really rocked out with the food and service, to me that equals consistency in my Yelp book. Thank you very much ZingGa, you will be seeing us from now on!

Fresa Bistro – Menu with Prices – 15 N 3rd St, Harrisburg

Overview: Nice little lunch stop for massive salads, sandwiches, or soup. Food: I have eaten at Fresa many times now and have always been very happy with my meal. I particularly love their salads. The Forestiere is a particular favorite, as the roasted veggies and parmesan cheese is an excellent combination. I also really love the Cobb salad, which is nice and filling. Fresa offers several dressings but my favorite is the pesto vinaigrette. If you love pesto–get this. It’s fantastic! I’ve also enjoyed some of their soups. The mushroom soup is a daily feature and very good! I also recently had their chicken pot pie, which although having a good flavor, had huge lumps of uncooked roux which I kept having the misfortune of biting into. I also feel it’s a bit pricey for the portion size. Lastly, I have to mention how much I love their water! It’s infused with cucumbers, strawberries, and lemons and is soooo refreshing. Recommend: Mushroom Bisque Forestiere Salad Cobb Salad Atmosphere: This place is BUSY. Whenever I know I’m going to get Fresa for lunch, I try to get there early as there is always a line. It moves decently, but definitely prepare to wait if you go during lunch time. Otherwise the restaurant has a decent number of tables that are always kept clean. Service: Service here has always been good! Even though pretty much always exceedingly busy, I have always been served with kindness and smiles.

Sushi Madre – Menu with Prices – 7124 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo

So me and my girlfriend came here yesterday. We walked in and got sat, so far so good. My girlfriend orders her roll and I order mine. I had ordered a breaded roll ( The Hulk) since I’ve never had one before, but when I tried it, the roll tasted like a chicken nugget or something. It tasted extremely fried and it was way too hot for my taste. So I tell my server that I would like to change my roll and mention that I didn’t know it would be that hot. She tells me she will ask the manager. A few minutes later, this “manager” comes up to my table and starts talking to me like I’m an illiterate child. She was being extremely rude and was clearly super annoyed by me. She was sighing and roller her eyes, Not to mention this is my first time ever complaining about my food at any restaurant. So She continued to ask me if I even read the menu because it “clearly” says on the menu that the roll would be that hot. And as I looked, it didn’t mention that ANYWHERE. I understand it’s breaded but if I just don’t like something I’m simply not going to pay to eat it. She seemed to be catastrophizing the situation when all I simply wanted was another roll. On the bright side, the roll that I was given as a replacement( The Shakespeare) was probably the best sushi I ever tried! I just wish the manager didn’t ruin my experience. I didn’t catch her name, but she was wearing glasses.

Agápi Pita Mediterranean Grill – Menu with Prices – 13802 N Scottsdale Rd #130, Scottsdale

Perhaps my group and I came on an off day, because my review contradicts what every other reviewer wrote. We ordered two gyros, a lentil soup, and dolmades to share. The soup had zero flavor, so we added tzatziki sauce to add some flavor. The dolmades were gross. There was a weird and unnecessary flavor to them, I’m not able to pin point what it was – maybe some tomato sauce? I was expecting them to have avgolemeno sauce on them and some lemon or dill, but they were unlike anything I had ever had, and not in a good way. The gyros were basic. It would have been nice to have the pita directly under the meat rather than on the side. If you’re looking for gooooood, authentic Greek food, go to Pangea dinosaur grill. That’s my go to and will always be. Sorry but the ‘love’ just wasn’t there.

Little Lulu’s – Menu with Prices – 5035 W Montrose Ave, Chicago

Do the words, “best soup I ever tasted” mean anything? Because this is the best soup I ever tasted! I arrived ten minutes before closing when at most restaurants the food is getting stale and the staff is getting cranky. Not here. The lady was so nice as she rang me up, and when my wife and I tried the last cup of soup they had left, we were absolutely blown away by it. Tasted super-fresh. The flavor and seasoning was terrific. They shredded the chicken so that you got some in every bite. No disgusting oil or grease at the top. I mean, just perfect soup! That’s the bottom line, it’s just perfect soup. This must have been what the soup was like in that Seinfeld episode, only they’re actually nice to you here. As for me, next time I get the flu, it won’t be so bad because my wife will let me eat as much of this as I want!

WHOS Gluten Free – Menu with Prices – 80 Mallory Ave, Jersey City

My mom was diagnosed with celiac in the ice age. Okay, maybe not the ice age, but she was diagnosed by Dr. Haas. Anyway, I told her I was taking her to a gluten free cafe and she got SO excited. When I looked up the distance, I could have sworn it said only 2 miles away and we were like, oh, no big deal, we’ll walk… well, 4 miles later we finally got to Whos Gluten Free. Opps. The staff at Whos Gluten Free is Fantastic. We walked in at 3:30 and the staff informed us the kitchen was closed because they close at 4. Oh. They had some broccoli soup still. We bought a whole bunch of goodies and the soup. The soup was delicious, nice and hot and with gluten free croutons! The goodies. Let’s forget about the gluten free part for a second. That nutella sandwich cookie. wholy Whos! (Yeah, I went there). That cookie was amazing. This is also the FIRST time in my LIFE I could share my desserts with my mom. Everything we got was so good. It didn’t even taste gluten free! The staff was so friendly, nice and accommodating. My mom can’t wait to go back! She already has her next “to try” items picked out. She wanted to go back the next day, but she said she would settle for at least a few days. And not to worry, next time we plan to be there bright and early, and not right before closing time.

Aji Sushi & Grill – Menu with Prices – 2360 Mendocino Ave A-1, Santa Rosa

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of being served by Jose and Christina, the owner. We instantly felt very welcome upon being seated. Jose was quick to ask for our drinks and appetizers. We started off with a bottle of Sake, garlic edamame, oysters, miso soup, and a cucumber salad. I was very impressed with the oysters. They tasted fresh and were served on a bed of ice with a nice lemon sauce, which complimented the oyster flavor perfectly. My girlfriend also appreciated the fact that the cucumber salad actually had seaweed salad on top as well. Lastly, the garlic edamame had some good charring and served hot, which was amazing. From there, we ordered our entrees. 15 PC Sashimi: Amazing assortment of fish. This was my first time ordering sashimi in such a large quantity. Comparing and contrasting the fish in its purest form was a great learning experience for my fish preferences. Vegetable Udon Noodle Soup: It was delicious. My girlfriend especially enjoyed the flavor of the broth. She recommends adding a little soy sauce and wasabi. TNT Roll: Excellent roll for spicy enthusiasts. It had a great kick, while still letting the fish be the main event of the roll. Giliante Roll: My girlfriend enjoyed this one. She would definitely recommend! This one also had a good spiciness about it, but nothing too crazy. Lastly, we enjoyed the deep fried oreo for dessert, which is a must have in my opinion. You could cut into the Oreo so easily with the spoon. Overall this was an incredible experience and the owner Christina was so friendly! Jose did a phenomenal job checking in on us periodically and our food was prepared quickly, without sacrificing for an amazing presentation. We will certainly be coming back the next time we are in Santa Cruz, and we will probably be full until then!

EE Home Cooking – Menu with Prices – 43689 Mission Blvd, Fremont

As of writing this review, I have been to EE Home Cooking twice. The first time was when I went for take out. When I walked into the restaurant, I was amazed by how clean it was. The waitress was also very friendly. Very quickly, it gave me a good impression of this place. I visited this place with my family again, except this time it was to dine in. The customer service was exceptional. We came about 45 minutes before closing time, but the waitress reassured us that there was enough time for us to eat in. After the waitress took our order, she came back really quickly and gave us a bowl of Cantonese soup – FOR FREE. Although I understand that it may not suit everyone’s eating style, its the thought that counts. A lot of restaurants out there don’t usually offer you a free dish, so it was really nice of them to do that! The waiting time wasn’t that long. We ordered 4 dishes, and they ALL arrived within 10 minutes. I think the food quality was great! Part of it may have been because I am ABC (although I also enjoy many different kinds of food that are not Chinese). So, if you’re looking for some great Chinese food, this would be a great place to go. The price seemed reasonable – we spent around $51 for 4 dishes. When we left, we were full. Like I said before, this place was really clean. I was also impressed by how well the restroom was maintained – it was so clean that it could be compared to that of a home bathroom. Its rare to see a restaurant that has such an exceptionally clean restroom. In the very end, this place has certainly earned my respect.. Compared to other places, it is evident that this restaurant has went above and beyond. With that, I have decided to become a regular. I would totally recommend this place to others! Did I forget to mention that its right across from Ohlone College? So if you’re an Ohlone student looking for a great restaurant or Chinese food, you’re in luck!

Paik’s Noodles – Menu with Prices – 28124 Newhall Ranch Rd, Santa Clarita

This is a review for lunch to-go order on a cold weekday! What I ordered: Beef Jjamppongbap (no spice) Food: The broth was flavorful and PERFECT for a cold and rainy weather. I ended up slurping the soup after I finished eating the noodles and toppings! As what others noted, it has a peppery taste which might not be for everyone. But works for me!! The actual bowl was full of vegetables, beef, and a couple of shrimps. You would get a good amount for each mouthful of noodle and soup! Price: $ CHEAP for the quality and quantity! Parking: It always has ample parking. This is located inside the plaza. Service: For the TO-GO experience only! I like the fact that they didn’t forget the necessities that comes with the order such as utensils and napkins. Plus points for me! Just like ordering a bowl of noodle soup, the broth and noodles/toppings are separated. The noodles I got wasn’t sticking and the veggies seem fresh and not too wilted. However, I would suggest for a bigger bowl for the broth. I had to slurp the soup before putting in the noodles because the bowl was a little shallow to put everything in. It’d be a mess if I just drop all the contents in!! Not to mention it was also hard to mix it in since the to-go bowl is small. WILL COME BACK!!! I will probably order Jajangmyeon during summer time and get the beef soup for winter/cold days. So many items on the menu I’d love to explore!
