Macabi Havana Lounge is a total classic. It’s a 26 year+ old gentlemen’s cigar and drinking lounge having a certain pureness of heritage for a cigar lounge along with a comfortable laid back atmosphere about it. There are a lot of newer such places generally now referenced as “Mancaves,” but in comparison to Macabi, they just don’t have it. They have a copycat, not the real thing feel about them in comparison. Now if you are a cigar aficionado, Macabi has more cigars and higher quality cigars than any other place I’ve seen in the area. Then, with the gentlemen bartender and server who has 20 years of experience here under his belt, an invaluable source of information and good guidance in making your cigar selection. As for liquor, Wow! I wanted a good quality rum and was amazed to find them sold by the shot glass with prices ranging on up to $40/shot. Being a “pobre hombre” I merely went for a $10 shot on ice with a mere splash or thimble of coke, which is coke as in Coca Cola. The rum turned out to be a special Captain Morgan Reserve, one that I have never seen nor even heard about before, and let me tell you, the suggestion of my bartender that it was a great tasting rum prove correct in every respect. So, as being the best of the cigar/bar/lounges it pleases me to be able to go Five Yelp Stars on Macabi Havana Lounge.

Havana Rey’s Cigar Shop & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 2351 Airport Blvd, Mobile

FINALLY! Since moving from DFW three years ago, I’ve been waiting for an actual cigar shop / lounge to open a little closer to WeMo. I am so excited that Havana Rey’s has opened and is delivering a great experience to our city! Their selection is pretty good and ranges from very well-known cigars to a few of the smaller, more boutique brands (several of which would be in my “favorites” list). They have a bar for any of your beverage needs. Their staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Now, the actual shop – at many, if not most, cigar shops, there is a front area with a humidor and then a lounge-area in the back (oftentimes limited just to “members”). Havana Rey’s did away with that, though – the entire shop feels like a lounge. Every other great thing aside, this was my favorite part…I felt like I was in my den, back at home. In fact, another patron commented, “Ah…my home away from home.” I am really excited that Havana Rey’s is open and look forward to frequenting their shop as often as possible!

Casa Petrides Tobaccos – Menu with Prices – 735 W Dove Ave, McAllen

I’ve been to many cigar shops around the country and have had my share of cigars. Not having any great expectations for this border town in terms of cigars, I was blown away by the selection of cigars at Casa Petrides Tabaccos! The prices are moderate and comparable to any other cigar shop that I’ve been to. Life is too short to smoke cheap cigars anyway! From the basic cigar selection, to the premium, super premium and boutique selections, the Casa Petrides selection is outstanding! Additionally, they have a lounge and a bar where you can partake in a drink of your choice to pair with your cigar purchase. What more can you ask for? So, for all you cigar aficionados, if you happen to wander into McAllen, TX and have a hankering for a good cigar, make a “B-line” to Casa Petrides for a good smoke. Be prepared to spend some time in the humidor, because the selection is grand!

Fox Cigar Bar Scottsdale – Menu with Prices – 7443 E 6th Ave, Scottsdale

Fox Cigar Bar is a classy and inviting lounge that will appeal to many cigar enthusiasts but mostly drinkers…which is a shame. As far as cigar lounges go this is a nice one; the atmosphere is large, warm, friendly, and inviting. As soon as you walk through the door you immediately notice the HUGE bar which is the centerpiece of the lounge. This is intriguing for most, but as far as I’m concerned it takes away from the cigar lounge feel and gives the cigars and smoking a backseat to drinking. The rest of the Bar has several TVs and spots to sit inside and out. Sadly with the drinking and old town Scottsdale location comes some of the riffraff crowd and when I was there I felt a bit uncomfortable. The humidor room is decent, but Fox does not have relationship with some of the top cigar brands (like Davidoff for instance), and that’s one of my favorites. I thought it odd that they lacked popular cigars and it causes me to wonder why those brands don’t associate themselves with Fox. The man who helped me pick out some cigars was great; he was knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and didn’t try to sell me. The prices for stogies are very reasonable which is nice, but I don’t know about the alcohol which is probably where they make most of their money. Fox Cigar Bar is a decent spot to relax and enjoy a smoke, but beware of the drinking crowd and know ahead of time that they might not carry some of the finer brands.

Griffin Cigar – Menu with Prices – 9200 Stony Point Pkwy #120, Richmond

This shop just recently opened up in Stony Point Fashion Center. I went in with some trepidation, because that’s not exactly the cheapest part of town. But I can honestly say that their prices are comparable or better than a lot of the cigar shops around Richmond. The young gentlemen who greeted me helped me find a few cigars that I had expressed interest in. The selection is good but not huge; plenty of cigars you already know, but I was able to find a couple sticks that I hadn’t tried yet, and one I didn’t even know existed. There’s an open, well-lit lounge for you to sit and enjoy a cigar. If you buy a cigar and smoke it there, they have complimentary coffee and water. They have a selection of pipes and pipe tobacco as well. And it’s right around the corner from a steakhouse, so you can have a good dinner, and then have a good cigar.

Santa Monica Tobacco – Menu with Prices – 1434 4th St, Santa Monica

I love coming to Santa Monica Tobacco. Why, then, did I give it only 3 stars? Because I don’t smoke cigars from Santa Monica Tobacco anymore. I buy cigars from Lone Wolf, then walk over to SMT to smoke in the lounge in the back. The humidor at SMT really sucks and I don’t mean to blame the staff, the owner is at fault here. Half of the cigars I’ve purchased here were either really hard or falling apart, so now I just bring my own. The lounge is the reason I come here because it’s a classic man cave where I can smoke my cigars and hang out with the regulars, who basically do all of the work in maintaining this lounge. Again, the owner has invested no money in the lounge so it’s either too smokey or too cold or too hot, and the regulars were the ones who pitched in together to get a TV in there and make it decent. The guys who work here are all good, and I come because I like to hang out and have a decent cigar… I always buy a cheap cigar at SMT out of respect for them letting me use their lounge, but I never smoke it. My advice to the owner if he is reading this: invest some money in making your humidor nice, expand your selection of cigars, and make the lounge better. It’s not _that_ much money and this is literally the reason for your existence.

For a limited time they do carry Arturo Fuentes Opus X also the ultimate Dominican cigar handmade and rolled with expertise. If you desire the finest cigars and want to impress your friends do take the time to visit this Cigar shop equipped with everything you need for your wonderful smoking experiance. The entrance is quit nice clean and seriously perfect to enjoy a good cigar with lounge area. I was truly impressed since I been to Lakeway area to experiance’a smoking bar there but this is way and beyond the norm. Highly recommend a well thought of cigar establishment clean not smoky to enjoy just your cigar and not inhale everyone’s cigars around you. Glad I found a place to enjoy friends company. The staff here are friendly very knowledgeble with any questions you have. One negative is a new business next door is All Star Burgers which you can’t smoke in there patio. Wondering why a burger place would be next door to a cigar shop ……strange but it is what it is. I will return and buy more cigars.

Big Sticks Fine Cigars – Menu with Prices – 1907 W Main St #4b, Mesa

Great selection of cigars and craft beer and wine to pair along with it if you’re looking to hang out. There’s a bar to sit at and watch tv while you enjoy a quality smoke, or you can sit at a table, or comfy lounge chair in one of the back rooms, if you prefer. Paul and the rest of his staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about cigars and can answer any of your questions to help you find the perfect cigars. They sell humidors and a wide variety of accessories as well, including cigar cutters, lighters and humidity packs. Out of all of the cigar shops in the valley, this one is my favorite, because everyone is very laid back, friendly and I learn more about cigars with each visit. Make sure to check them out on Facebook because they have lots of cool events and specials throughout the year with food trucks, cookouts, etc.

Española Cigar – Menu with Prices – 409 Española Way, Miami Beach

$29.21 for one cigar and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon including the 18% service charge Went to Miami for a girl’s trip and one of the girls smokes cigars and was turning 50 so visiting this location was high on her list of places to visit. I don’t really smoke cigars, but will puff on one when traveling with this particular friend so I’m not sitting in the cigar bar inhaling second hand smoke just for the heck of it. Anytime we go to a cigar bar, I get the exact same cigar CAO Flavours Cherrybomb cigar and have never paid more than $6 for it. So it was vacation shock to get my bill and see that it was $11 here. When we went in there was a partially full humidor of multi size and brand cigars but no pricing, so I would suggest asking the price if that is going to be important to you when the check comes. We told some guy what we selected and headed to the patio and a few minutes later a waitress came out and clipped the tips of the cigars and lit them for us. My friend ended up paying $42 for one cigar and the same glass of wine I had. We sat on the patio and there were large bugs running underneath the couches. I mostly refer to them as “water bugs” and in some places they are called german cockroaches, it had rained earlier in the day, so Im hoping that’s what brought them out, it was uncomfortable not knowing if they were going to run over our feet but they were a few couches over, so we just kept watch over our feet. Otherwise the patio was relaxing and the staff was very attentive in making sure our cigars stayed lit.

Ash Taproom – Menu with Prices – 3595 S Orange Ave, Orlando

This lounge is a gem!!! A large selection of cigars. The managers are very knowledgeable about the cigars in stock and the industry overall. With a large selection of cigars, they have a great selection of beer and liquor. They also have live entertainment and offer guess a seat at poker table on Tuesdays nights. The place is not to far from downtown and is the cigar lounge for a darn good smoke and sports game watching. Be sure to stop by and talk with the locals of Orlando Strong!

Habano BarCafe – Menu with Prices – 1800 S Young Cir, Hollywood

Everyone needs to try this place! I had such a wonderful time at Habano Cigar Club! This was my first time in a cigar lounge, and I had a great time visiting with a friend. Although I donâ??t smoke, I absolutely loved it, their coffee bar is amazing, and they made me the most delicious cappuccino! I also had the pleasure of meeting Tom and Harry, two of the nicest guys you could meet, and who are also regulars at the lounge. One of the men is a psychiatrist who practices Buddhism and also dabbles in stock on the side, while the other is a computer whiz/comedian (Iâ??ll leave it up to you when you visit the lounge to figure out who is who! LOL!). During my time at Habano Cigar Club, I noticed right away that everyone who entered was made to feel like family. I, myself, felt right at home as soon as I entered! I am already planning my next visit there, and may even try one of their many selections of fine cigars. Thank you again Habano Cigar Club for a fantastic Saturday afternoon!
