First, I despise writing negative reviews. I would much rather highlight the positive in a world full of negative, but I have to share our truth about this place because tonight was the straw that broke the camels back.We have finally ‘forgiven’ Township for the last and final time. We (us and 2 more couples of friends) have been going to Monday ‘Burger Night’ for quite a while now. We love that they have Beyond Burgers for the veggie lovers – and then of course regular burgers for the rest. Love the vegan tacos – delish. But – EVERY single time we go, there are always minor issues. One night they ran out of burgers (at 6pm) – but they went and got more from a sister restaurant. Sometimes we have to deal with a (very nice) server who always looks totally stressed and as though she is on fire, even though there may only be 2-3 tables with customers. She gives me so much anxiety but I digress. No big deal, but typical of the types of experiences we have. It always minor, but its ALWAYS something. We try to be easy to get along with and the manager always recognizes us and does her best to provide a good experience. I don’t remember her name but she is awesome. Tonight, however; that didn’t happen. Went for Monday burger night – 4 tables with customers (place was basically empty minus one work party of about 12 people) – sat for 20 minutes with no ‘hello’ or a ‘I’ll be right with you’ – NOTHING! We went to hostess and asked if we had a server. She disappeared, reappeared, but nothing. Asked again, nothing. Finally, as we were getting up to leave (about 22-23 minutes with no service at this point), the ‘on fire stressed’ server came over with manger, but we ended up leaving. We were already too stressed and hungry at this point. Normal manager who we love wasnt there. Manager who was there acted as though he could care less. Township, you have lost 3 sets of customers – for good – won’t be going back. Dining out shouldnt be so stressful and you should be prepared for your Monday night specials – yet you rarely (if ever) are. There are lots of choices in Fort Lauderdale and we will be taking our monday night ritual elsewhere!

Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 25 Carlson Ct, Toronto

Great experience tonight at Jack Astor’s. My family and I went out to a great dinner but had a very minor inconvenience with some cold fries. We weren’t upset but when we mentioned it to the server they were promptly replaced with fresh hot fries. Within a few minutes a very professional and caring manager showed up on her own to apologize for the inconvenience and also offered to remove the items from our bill. She really didn’t have to do that since that wasn’t our intention. We had already had them replaced which was more than enough of a compensation. We saw her again when leaving the restaurant and thanked her for her kind gesture. She said that they want their customers to have complete satisfaction. We were very satisfied and were touched by her kindness. We’ll be sure to be back. From the hostess and servers to the manager this place really knows how to treat a customer. From a minor inconvenience to a memorable dinner experience means a lot. They all deserve kudos! Thank you ð???

Burgerim Gourmet Burgers – Menu with Prices – 800 Ocala Rd #350, Tallahassee

I was excited to try the Uncut (plant based) burger here but was met with nothing but issues from the door. While ordering the cashiers rings our burgers up as 1/3lb Angus Beef burgers and I’m like “whoa, uh, we are vegetarian. Those need to be changed to the plant based burgers.” She responds by telling me that there is no button in the machine for the Uncut burger and so she has to ring it up this way and then tell the cook to switch it to the Uncut burger. Major red flag! Had I have listed to my gut we would have said “no thank you” and just walked out, but we stayed nonetheless. My boyfriend and I ordered our burgers two different ways. He also ordered a combo and I simply asked for fries and no drink. We were charged for 2 combos anyway and I was handed a cup which I filled with water since I don’t drink sodas or juice. After having been seated for 23 minutes his burger comes to the table and not only was his burger all the way wrong, but when the cashier came back over to us she states that they have run out of fries (this is like 7pm on a Saturday and we are one of only 2 sets of customers in the place) and asks if I’d like onion rings instead. I opt for a combo of rings and sweet potato fries and a full 6 minutes later my burger and sides show up. My burger has the standard toppings on it, not the ones I ordered and my rings were seriously overcooked. If I weren’t already so annoyed and tired I would have sent it back, but I figured I’d just eat so we could get the hell out of the place. The flavor of the Uncut patty is amazing and that is THE ONLY REASON THIS PLACE GETS ONE STAR! Anyone looking for great service and a decent burger (vegan or otherwise) in town would do much better to go to Vertigo. Burgerim is the worst!

The Hops Spot – Menu with Prices – 116 Walton St, Syracuse

I have been waiting to write this review for a week, but I wanted to try different burgers first to verify my first visit. My first time here I ordered the Beer Cheese burger, and I was amazed by the flavor. The pretzel bun added a touch of saltiness which I had never tasted in a burger before. Wow it kicked ass. Pamela, had a salad and requested a separate plate of fries. She loved the salad, and didn’t have much of a chance to eat many fries because I loved them too. I think my love of the fries limited her to about 4 fries. She was highly disappointed. I promised her I would save a few more for her on the next visit. Oh, Pamela said the salad was also the best she had too. My second visit, I ordered the Kevin Bacon, simply put, it was fantastic. All the flavors inuding the bacon made for a tasty and delicious eating experience. Pamela had a burger too and her own fries. Guess what? She ate them both and agreed with me, best burger in Syracuse and the fries, well, they were a perfect compliment to the burger. Who am I to argue; I love her and the burger. Tonight, I had the sweet and heat. If you like some spice, it was perfection. My three burgers, each and everyone were the best burgers I ever ate. The beer selection is tremendous. Too many choices. Too many flavors. Highly intimidating. The good news is that the wait staff is highly accommodating to taste before you buy. As for the restaurant, the atmosphere is cool. All brick interior, bar in the middle of the two halves. One side that is smaller, but w high top tables, big tvs, and a.spot for a small live band. The other half, where you walk in above the Empire Brewing Co, is large with many booths, tables, and TVs. Way in the back is another room w games and tables. You can play Cornhole. The restaurant can get quite loud when at its peak around 7:30pm to 8pm. Overall a good experience while with friends and guest. My waitress tonight was Amanda. She was terrific. Very friendly and a big hockey fan. My buddies and I had a great time talking hockey with her and we’re treated well. If you have time while in Armory SQ or just want to have the best burger ever, the Hop Spot is the place to go.

South Cali Steak Burger Bar – Menu with Prices – 301 Montgomery St, Chula Vista

South Cali Steak Burger Bar (what a mouthful, huh?) did not disappoint. Our burgers were fire. I love when you go to a burger place & the burgers taste homemade, these burgers taste just like burgers you’d make for yourself on the grill at home. They were super juicy & flavorful. My husband ordered the original charbroiled burger w/ cheese & I ordered the avocado bacon burger. I was super torn because they have a teriyaki pineapple burger but I make those all the time at home, still I know it would have been lit. We both ordered 6oz patties & I literally thought they gave me the 8oz in error because my burger was huge, I could barely finish half. A huge plus was that they did NOT skimp on the ingredients! They gave me some big ol’ slices of avocado & three full slices of perfectly cooked bacon. THREE full slices! My husband made his meal a combo which came w/ seasoned fries & they were good, I love me a seasoned fry, y’all. South Cali Steak Burger Bar would have been out of our way otherwise but my husband had driven me down to Chula Vista so I could pick up some Cuban pastries and we almost didn’t stop in, despite the stellar reviews, because we didn’t see parking, but I’m so glad we did. I think we paid a little over $20 altogether & those are my kind of prices so I’d definitely stop in again if I ever found myself in Chula Vista.

Viking Burger – Menu with Prices – 11745 Jefferson Ave, Newport News

Based on the reviews and recommendations from locals we visited Viking Burger and the burgers are as described, AWESOME. NOT a chain, but a local business with a distinct niche making great burgers with a Viking theme. The burgers are labeled with an appropriate Norse name and yes, the fries were tasty as well. So what to order? Burgers of course – read the menu not just to get a description of the burgers, but also for the entertainment value. Burgers are truly tasty, and made to order. However, during our visit, our burgers took time (~45 minutes) to grill because they had issues with the grill. Was the wait worth it? YES…but we had to drive back to Northern Virginia (~3 hours away) so the delay was no appreciated. A converted “Weiner World” restaurant, Viking Burger is easy to find off the road, a building that is all roof, not much room is available to eat inside; picnic tables are located outside to dine. No beer is sold so you may want to take the tasty burger(s) back home. If ever in the area again, I plan on stopping by…I hope that the broken grill has been fixed! If not for the long delay, the rating would have been much higher.

Gator’s Dockside Murabella – Menu with Prices – 105 Murabella Pkwy, St. Augustine

So my wife found a piece of plastic in her macaroni and cheese, not too big of a deal, just wanted a new one. After she completely finished her sandwich, the “store manager” came by and nonchalantly asked if she wanted a new one…well yeah! The new side finally came out. Another 6 to 7 minutes went by and the “manager” stopped by again. I told him they should have brought it out much quicker and he could have been a bit more apologetic about the situation. He basically blamed the server for not letting him know of the issue. This manager was so lackadaisical and careless about the whole situation. I feel he is a big reflection on why, on a Saturday night, the restaurant was not busy and the servers reflect the same attitude. By the way…this is the same “manager” that parks his car in the very first spot closest to the doors and I have seen take a big spit right in front of the restaurant door before he goes into work. What a joke of a “store manager”!

Don’t Have a Cow Vegan Cafe – Menu with Prices – 110-A, Tiny Town Rd, Clarksville

This is a very small restaurant next to a barbershop. Parking is very limited as well as the amount of space in the restaurant. They have four tables with two chairs each and a small bar next to the window. Because the space is so small it felt sort of intimate, and the gentleman working was very nice and checked up in my coworker and I. The decorations are very cute, and I love the green paint with the wood inside. For the food, I ordered a Fire Roasted burger and added chao cheese and avocado along with mixed greens as the side. The mixed greens were perfectly dressed and a wonderful side to the burger. The burger itself was pretty good, but the texture at first was slightly off putting. It was kind of mushy, but I would order it again now that I know what to expect. The burger price is similar to regular burger joints that sell better quality burgers, so can’t complain on that end! I would definitely comeback and try another item on the menu, and I also love that they are the only “true” vegan restaurant in town!

Burger King – Menu with Prices – 8922 Airport Blvd, San Antonio

I work the front desk over night at a near by Hotel and recommend many places to eat in the area to guests including this place but in the mornings around 7 AM is when we get off, and my coworker and I wanted to go get some burgers Saturday morning after work for ourselves which previously had not been an issue, it was about an extra 8 minute wait since everything was setup for breakfast but waiting a little longer was no problem for us and at the time was no issue for the Burger King Staff either. Yesterday morning however we stop by after work for some burgers, and sadly the cashier at the front told us she had forgotten to turn on the grills or whatever and that it takes about 45 minutes to warm up… sounds like BS to me to be honest as I’ve worked in the food industry for over 15 years years prior to my position now and I’ve never heard of a 45 minute preheat time, so unless you have pizza ovens in the back this just sounds like a bad lie for someone who likely just deemed burgers as being too much work for them during morning hours. But anyway we ask the cashier if tomorrow, Sunday morning everything will be ready, she says yes, and we even told her we would call around 6 AM just to let them know around 7 we’d be coming by to order some burgers after work, well of course this morning at 6 AM we call and SHOCKER!! someone different with another BS excuse about how they wont be able to make burgers until 8 AM. Its been probably 10 years since I’ve even visited a Burger King but this location had recaptured my interest when it was built near my work so I figured I’d give BK another try, but clearly 10 years wasn’t enough time for Burger King to get its stuff together and I am clearly better off sticking with Whataburger or McDonalds as they have proven to be far superior in operations and customer satisfaction. We will not be recommending guests here any longer if this is the service that is to be expected, staff just lies and and makes excuses while keeping customers waiting, we waited all night two different nights in a row for burgers but Burger king seems too poorly managed to be able to handle a simple thing like Burgers… your Burger King, I mean really?? If burgers are this much of a hassle to get here at “BURGER KING” then you might as well close up shop cause you’re losing business from the people who would love to give you a second chance and recommend you to their guests but as of today Whataburger will gladly be getting my business, and be first on my recommendation list to our guests.

The Lost Cajun – Southlands Menu with Prices 6105 S Main St, Suite 104-F, Aurora

Our first experience with Lost Cajun was years ago at the original Frisco restaurant. With the expansion of locations we were thrilled to get one in Southlands, we love the food. We have never had a bad dining experience there until last night. Our server was a pleasant, eager to please guy who somehow added a $13 item to our final bill when the card was run. He apologized and went to find his manager who had apparently stepped out…more profuse apologies. The manager reappears, server tells us the transaction is being deleted. Twenty minutes later we?re still waiting for a corrected check. The manager is wandering around, didn?t come talk to us, the server kept talking to him, the manager reamed the server…we?re still waiting! Server was so upset and frustrated, he offered to pay our bill, we told him no way. Another five minutes goes by the manager finally appears at our table, tells me the incorrect check was deleted, hands me his card and comps our meal. Thank you but we offered to pay, we were upset mostly at the way our server was treated. He clearly needed his manager?s authority to correct our check but was ignored and chastised instead! I felt so bad for him and I told the manager I didn?t appreciate how he was treating his employee. No apology from the guy. It wasn?t about the comp (we tipped our server still) it was the entire process or lack of in correcting the check and the treatment of his server.

Burger Island – Menu with Prices – 1529 W Buckingham Rd, Garland

My kiddos and I came to eat burgers after school. My daughter had the chicken strip plate and my son had the bacon burger with jalapeños. They were both tasty. I ordered a kids cheeseburger and it came with fries and a drink. The burgers and fries came out hot but my bottom bun was hard as a rock. It was left in the heater to long. I asked if they can bring me a bun and I would transfer my burger but to not take it to the back and I have trust issues. I asked for a refund for my one burger very nicely cause again…. trust issues!! I would of been happy to get the money back and wait for my kiddos to finish their meals. Instead, The cashier was nice and said ok let me show the cook. The cook which turns out to be the manager apologized and said he will make me a new one right away with a smile on his face. He was nice to come out of the kitchen and offered to make it. I felt more Comfortable when he came to asked me to let him remake it. ? He got it out in a jiffy! The staff is nice and polite and the place is clean. I must say the ceiling can use a good dusting but other than that, everything else has been kept clean. I will return as the burgers are tasty!!

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews – Menu with Prices – 4605 South Landing Way, Tucson

Red Robin – Where the food is just OK, the service is really bad and the management customer service is nice. My daughter and I arrived early to beat the crowds and hopefully have a decent meal with decent service. We beat the crowds since it wasn’t even half full yet. We ordered our drinks and the short stack of onion rings (6 rings). My drink came out quickly, but since my daughter ordered one of the Cream Sodas and it took longer for her to receive hers. After about 10 minutes after my daughter received her drink her burger showed up. She had ordered the Pigout Tavern Double Burger with their in house made chips. 10 minutes later the manager came by and told us that there was something wrong and that she would pay for the onion tower short stack. At which point she asked what I had ordered. Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that I placed my order 20 minutes ago and our onion rings 30 minutes ago and you just now tell me something was wrong. I reminded her that I had ordered the Guacamole Bacon Burger with Chipotle Aioli for my side salad. Well my burger finally showed up but instead of a container full of Chipotle Aioli, there was hardly any, maybe a quarter full (and that is stretching it). I was well into my burger when our appetizer finally showed up and my daughter was almost done with hers. They were very hot, but super greasy. The onion rings came with full containers of ranch dressing and their Camp-Fire Mayo dipping sauces. Kind of what I was expecting with the Chipotle Aioli. Maybe the Chipotle Aioli is made of gold and the 50 cent up charge for the Chipotle Aioli only gives you so much. Bottomless sides means bottomless fries. As I mentioned before I had a side salad and my daughter had the chips. We got more fries. But how can I get more fries, if I didn’t want fries. What about more chips? Or a refill on my salad with some more of that rare Chipotle Aioli. Sodas were supposed to be unlimited as well, but we were limited to one each. So, overall the food was just ok. The burgers only ok and the guacamole was spread so thin that I hardly noticed it was there. The chips were very dark (almost burnt) and had no flavor. I guess if you wanted you could have paid for some dipping sauce, but we saw how well that work with the Chipotle Aioli. It was nice the manager covered our onion rings, but there were other issue here that they need to take care of. Maybe they were a bit short staffed tonight, but when you watch her punch in the order at the table on a little handheld device, how do you lose two thirds of our order? I think after this experience we will pass on going back again.

Muto lzakaya Restaurant Menu with Prices 105 E Chestnut St, Bellingham

I still can’t believe what happened tonight. Our server made a mistake and brought out a wrong dish. I ordered a poke SALAD, but he brought out a poke BOWL. I didn’t noticed the error until I saw the bill. I pointed that out to the server, assuming that he would just correct the mistake (so that I would pay for what I ordered rather than when he brought out by mistake). The server was apologetic but kept saying there’s nothing they could do to fix it. His manager came out and told me the same thing but WITH AN ATTITUDE. I’m Japanese and I hate any kind of confrontation especially in public. I was with my son and his friend’s family even, but I’m not naive enough to pay extra for a mistake the server made. Anyway, it was still so embarrassing for me to “argue” with the manger. At a normal restaurant in the US, THEY will apologize for having made a mistake and promptly correct the mistake. I just could not believe why they had to make such a big deal out of a small mistake their server made. The manager finally said to me “Next time when there’s a mistake, tell us before you eat it, OK?” in a very condescending manner. He unwillingly corrected the mistake, brought back the corrected bill, STUCK it out in front of my face, and said “Are you happy now?” It then all made perfect sense to me why the server started sweating PROFUSELY when he realized he’d made a mistake. His manager is a big A**HOLE! First and foremost, I recommend that you do not work here as a server. Second, please do not support a business where the management intimidates their employees or their customers. ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit “useful” so that I can improve my future reviews.
