Bugs! This is unfortunately the best way I can describe our experience. We are visiting family in Fort Myers and decided to go to Terra Nostra as my wife was craving Italian. Other than the service being a bit slow we were pretty happy, and then the bugs arrived. We ordered calimari and continually found live bugs below the food, but brushed it off as a hazard of eating outside. Then they kept coming, into my water, into the olive oil for the bread, and those are only the places we know about. My wife had to cover her drinks to ensure they weren’t infested by whatever was outside, and we couldn’t find other tables experiencing the same issue. When the food came out, we asked to speak with the manager and when Peter arrived we let him know of the issue and that we we understood that he couldn’t control everything with it being outside. Peter essentially just laughed at us and told us it wasn’t his problem. We again indicated that we understood that he couldn’t control being outdoors, but wanted him to be aware as we seemed to be the only table affected by the issue. Peter gave no effs and only after repeated comments did he offer to move us inside We instead asked for the plates and cups with live bugs in them to be removed and only the cup was removed. Not everyone is looking for a free meal and we gave Peter many opportunities, and his default effort was to laugh at his guests. Due to this, I cannot recommend Terra Nostra. Worst experience with restaurant management I have ever had.

Mucha Lucha Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 1530 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert

Is there new owners or something? My last experience here was just excellent, but man this time was completely different. I guess me and my brother were bugging them ordering our food. The man working couldnt have been more condescending and the women couldnt wait to get to the back. I didn’t even order any food for myself or my son because my wifes order irritated them enough so I said screw it. My brothers wet burrito came out dry and he couldnt really saying about it because they rushed off as soon he paid. Two people were in there when we showed up so it was definitely not busy. Idk what their problems were but it was more then enough for me and my brother to never ever eat at this restaurant again. Also to the women worker, when you roll your eyes try looking away so the customer cant constantly see you doing. Just fyi for the next guy…

Papaya Vietnamese Café Menu with Prices 15600 NE 8th St STM PM-12, Bellevue

Let’s see, so my wife and I came here Sun after church because she needed to go to Michael’s store right when they opened and I was getting hungry! So I wanted soup and what better place than a place that serves pho’! As we ordered we stood there a few monitors while the lady behind the counter prepped a dish. As she greeted us with k smile and we couldn’t really understand her, we managed to get our order in! I got the beef skirt and flank pho! My wife just a beef skirt pho! We ordered also fresh spring rolls! So as I went Sri get a table my wife waited for the soups. She noticed that on the container the chopsticks were in there were bugs crawling on them! Ant like insect! Of course I was told this as I ate my soup! As I went back to get some hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce I noticed that some of the trays the food is served on were dirty! We paid some $$ for this food So I continued to eat my soup and spring rolls!! We thought we ordered one order of spring rolls bet we got four rolls cut into 8 pieces! Wow! It was good! I liked the pho! My wife complained that she had too much meat!! WHAT!? So she she gave me some which made my soup yummy! A few big jalapeños and I was good to go! Despite the few bugs and dirty trays food was good but since this was an open food court you may expect unsanitary instances, but you need to build you immune system, right!!? LOL!

Skrimp Shack – Menu with Prices – 605 Newmarket Dr N #28, Newport News

The food is good and the establishment is well maintained, staff were friendly and courteous, so why am I giving them one star?? Hygiene issue. My wife and I went in for lunch she ordered a shrimp basket and I had the whiting. They got my wife’s order wrong and promptly corrected without issue. Here is what we witnessed, the staff member/manager went from preparing / breading fish (with gloved hands) to taking a customer’s order and handling cash (with the same gloved hands) then when she was done, removed fish and replaced it with shrimp for my wifes order (with the exact same gloved hands) Me and my wife took major issue with this and politely asked that the staff member change their gloves and prepare a fresh (uncontaminated) order of shrimp. The staff member/manager exclaimed they dont change their gloves like that, we are not ones to argue a stores policy, if the MANAGER doesn’t see an issue with not changing gloves between handling food and money that is simply not a place that I will EVER eat at again. The staff were never rude and promptly returned our funds but not willing to simply change their gloves on request. I can understand not changing gloves if thats all you are doing is handling / preparing food. P.S. management / owner save the canned apology and educate your staff on basic hygiene before you get sued.

Oriental House – Menu with Prices – 125 Campbell Ave SE, Roanoke

The food here is absolutely phenomenal, especially for the price. Our group got Drunken Noodle, Pad See Ew, Miso, Chicken Satay and Pho and we all loved our orders. The food was well flavored and generously portioned. The thai tea is also really great. Uncle Peter, the “second boss” (after his wife) of the restaurant is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Our group came in and he instantly felt welcome. He went out of his way to bring us food that he thought we liked and seemed to genuinely care about us. He genuinely enjoyed seeing us enjoy the food. This place is the #1 Thai place in Roanoke for good reason, an accolade he is very proud of. Go for the great food, stay for Uncle Peter’s great hospitality.

Wake Technical Community College – Menu with Prices – 9101 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh

very annoying my spouse went in there 3 times for nothing. she just wanted general information regardinging certification classes. first time she went in there they said they needed her transcripts to he able to speak to somone like an advisor. second time they made her do an application and asked for more information she didnt have with her, why they didnt tell her in the first place is beyond me. third time she sits down with an advisor and they gave her price for a classes but couldnt give her details regarding the programs. throughout this whole process multiple people approached her as though they were selling off of commission. the advisor couldnt even tell her if the courses are for preparation for the certification, do get a certification with these courses and if they even offer the certification test? waste of time. period. and fyi if your going to have advisors and staff trying to sell students atleast have a better process as well as make sure they are prepared with information when questions are asked. Lastly, after all of this can you believe they enrolled her classes! the bs. i swear. not even telling her they enrolled her in classes for an associate’s program when she had informed everyone along the way that she has already graduated with a BBA. cant believe this.

Living Green Cafe Menu with Prices 2202 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton

Update ! I removed a one star because they allow dogs in there not service dogs but those fake ones with the vest , it grossed me out because they have a hot open bar of food , I’m a firm believer that animals don’t belong in restaurants. I love this place and atmosphere is so relaxing and trendy , the food is on the healthier side and it’s tasty, they also have a great wine selection. FYI this is an update I apologize for the lunatic that is stocking my yelp page and is putting funny on all of my reviews this lady Cherie B is acting oddly and I apologize for her in advance , she seems to have a issue with every place she visits including the vets , she gave Mizner Park Veterinary clinic the worst review , yet she was never given a exam or charge a dime for anything , she was combative since the minute she stepped foot in there and the aft Asked her to leave , we she did she also called the next day threatening the clinic if she wasn’t removed for the database she is bonkers, she made a huge review and had a tantrum she was speaking about prices and calling the vet a scam artist , ? She wasn’t served so how can she have a honest opinion of the clinic she wasn’t served or charged she was asked to leave.

First Watch – Durham – Menu with Prices – 5307 New Hope Commons Blvd Ext, Durham

Probably the rudest waiter i’ve ever had, middle-of-the-road food couldnt save the poor service. Decided to go somewhere new on saturday morning. Coming into the restaurant we were received with a mild greeting and seated. Our waiter arrived and asked what we’d like to drink. No welcome, no greeting, if there were specials we didnt hear about them, he did not even give his name. Because i dont have his name I can only say that he was working 7/6/19 at some point between 12 and 2 pm, was tall, overweight, slicked back short black curly hair, and he had a face like he didnt want to be there. he was waiting tables in the booth area near the windows away from the front door. We ordered our drinks, hot cocoa for them and I order sweet tea. He came back a few minutes later and wordlessly dropped them on the table, the water glasses were on the table, they remained unfilled. I was with my wife, mother-in-law and her aunt, english is not their first language and they are very picky eaters. They spent about 5 minutes reading the menu before he came by and asked what we were ordering.. I look over and my mother in law is literally in the process of squinting at the menu when he asks us this.. My wife is still reading a menu and her aunt still has one in her face as well.. no one had a menu on the table, no one was staring around idly, no one flagged him down, in no way shape or form was there a cue for him to ask us our order.. dude didnt even ask if we needed more time or had questions.. because theyre foreign theyre often uncomfortable ordering food, my wife hurries both of them through the menu while the waiter essentially stands there with an irritated demeanor and toe-taps. he takes the order and hes gone. I couldnt follow his interactions with the other tables but they didnt look like they were any better. what makes it worse is he didnt seem all that busy or rushed, while that doesnt excuse his behavior, it would have at least made it understandable. our drinks ran out and shortly after, our food arrived and it was pushed onto our table. if there was a utensil, cup, hand, cell phone, purse, whatever on the table, it was shoved out of the way by a plate.. at this point it was comical how much this dude did not give a damn. the plates were shoved onto the table and he was gone. The hot cocoa cups were empty, the water glasses still werent filled, and my tea was just ice. No drink refills, no mid-meal check up. He came by, asked if we would be splitting our check and that was the last of him. oh yeah, i forgot about the food.. Overall the food was “okay” but completely forgettable.. hell, ill only remember this place cause the waiter was a terrible host..

La Pupusa Loca – Menu with Prices – 1025 Winchester Blvd, San Jose

This Salvadorian food truck just opened across the street from where we live. Seems to be run by a husband and wife. They are very nice. I asked for two orders of pupusas revueltas (bean, cheese, and chicharón) and it took about 15 minutes for them to finish and it was well worth the wait! Delicious, fresh, perfectly balanced flavors (make sure you eat with the cabbage and green salsa). The only thing to be aware of is that they are cash only; if you need to use card be ready to pay an extra $2.50 to use the ATM inside of the Shell station. We will definitely be returning!

Seattle Marriott Bellevue Menu with Prices 200 110th Ave NE, Bellevue

Honestly, I don’t know where to start between Bed Bugs eating my partner and myself and the rudest customer service I have ever recieved. I would rate this place a zero star. My partner and I have multiple bites all over our bodies from a night stay. The management when we called them to complain did not want to move us rooms. The night manager made a snide comment that we were trying to getter a better view. I showed her the bites on my arm and she still pushed we keep the room that there are no bed bugs in Washington and that they have never had a problem/complaint ever she called an engineer over to have him state there are no bugs and the could not get someone to inspect the room. Finally, she agreed to let us move rooms at this point my partner just wanted to move hotels as this was 1 in the dawn and we had been itching like crazy and unable to sleep plus the lack of customer service for a supposedly 4-star hotel was a joke. We moved rooms and she called to let us know that the team found a bug but it was not “bed bugs” it was something else. They refused to let us know what they had found. At this point, we decided to go see a doctor who confirmed that we had bed bug bites. I went to the hotel asking to have our things laundred. Called was told the manager was not there went to the location the day manager Melissa was a joke who explained they didn’t have bugs and that she could not do anything about our stuff or the 4 days we paid. That they were doing an investigation and would “let us know”. I explained that we were now out medical fees and laundry fees and now I have bites all over my body. She tried to state that it was someplace else that gave us the bites even tho they showed up the morning after our first stay. This who thing has been a nightmare we’re management refuses to communicate and shows that this place is lower than a motel 6 on a bad day.

The Barking Deck- Dog Park & Pub – Menu with Prices – 106 S Walnut Cir #B, Greensboro

Writing this to share our experience and hopefully help others who are thinking about going to the Barking Deck. We were the ones who saw all the good reviews and thought, oh the few bad ones must just be complainers. We were wrong. I fully understood what kind of place this was when the female owner suggested I put a shock collar on my dog to correct his energetic, rambunctious personality. This offended me more than being asked to leave, as our dog is a rescue who was shot, abused and neglected before we adopted him. These details were included in the required paperwork to get in, so I assume the owners were aware. To even suggest we inflict more pain on him simply because he is acting like a dog is unacceptable. On Monday I arrived in the evening without my husband and was greeted with a smile like always. As soon as my dog went in, smaller dogs were trying to bite his tail and were barking at him. They were not corrected, as usual. As I sat down for about five minutes the owner comes over and tells me we make other people uncomfortable and we need to leave unless I get a shock collar. If anyone was shocked it was me. I felt that the owner was uncaring and cold with her delivery of our eviction notice. She did this all in front of a packed room full of people, instead of taking us out to the lobby and having a conversation in a professional manner. I left feeling bullied and humiliated.

Mac & Nelli’s – Menu with Prices – 4926 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem

My wife and I visited arriving about 7PM. As we walked in we were struck by the observation that hardly anyone was there in a rather large dining area. We received the menus and my wife placed her order. She requested a simple change to the Italian item she ordered for medical reasons and the waitress questioned why she would want to do that to an Italian dish. I requested the prime rib (the menu stating it was served on Friday and Saturday nights) and was told the menu is being changed and that it will not be carried anymore since they now have a new chef. My wife’s orders were taken but I said I needed a couple more minutes since they did not have what I had wanted. After a rather lengthy wait my wife’s wine arrived and I placed my order including my wine, We had now been there about 20 minutes in an notably uncrowded place except for a table of about 6 or 8 (couldn’t actually see the whole table) and only 2 more customers had arrived. The waitress was invisible. Meanwhile my wine did not come. After about 10-15 minutes, I got up to head for the bar, which had not been very busy at all, and the waitress was standing at the other end and said ‘I am here to get your wine’ or something –I could not hear her very well. She brought the wine to our table and said the bar keeper had not seen the order–again they were 3 customers at the bar, all of whom had been in the restaurant when we arrived. We kept waiting for the food to arrive and she finally came out of the kitchen with the service for all at that one table of 6-8. After she finished that, she finally saw me waving to her and went back to the kitchen. The food finally arrived about 50 minutes after we did. No other items were brought while we waited–like bread. My grilled pork chop was good. But my wife quickly reported that her chicken piccata was terrible and certainly looked that way– swimming in a greasy pool of something. She did not eat it. In the end, when we went home she fixed a salad for dinner. The waitress saw that my wife had not eaten her dish at all. When told it was not good at all, the waitress offered to take it off the bill and also we heard her in the distant kitchen discussing it with the chef. In addition to all of this, while we waited so very long , we saw dirty floors all around our area and wondered when they were last swept given how few customers were in the place. AND we saw bugs crawling on the floor and wondered how clean the kitchen might be.The owners need to call Robert Irvine and his Restaurant Impossible Crew.

Larry’s Giant Subs – Menu with Prices – 2457 7805, Abercorn St #24, Savannah

We’ll. I’ll update later but I’m a bit pissed. I checked in, and got a pop up offering 10% off a combo meal. The owner (I presume) looked at it and said, “I don’t know what that is and proceeded to ring me up full price. The sandwich was great as always here and it came out lighting fast. My turkey sub, drink and chips were less than $9. I’m not sure if I miss understood but my intent was to order just the sub and water but I think the owner was confused about my coupon and wanted to get through the line of people. It almost felt like the soup nazi on Seinfeld So.. the coupon issue, chips and drink that I did not want but apparently ordered but the sandwich was good. I’m giving it 3 stars and that’s mostly for the sandwich. Ease of ordering brought it off of a 5 star review. …. Thanks for the response. However, I was just in town on business and I don’t foresee myself getting back to Savannah any time in the near (or distant) future. Hopefully, other yelpers will read my review and be aware.
