My boyfriend and his siblings were reminiscing on childhood foods and took me here to show me what they used to order. When you walk in, to the right looks like the local super market with live tanks of lobster, crab, prawns, and a frozen area of shrimp and other seafood. You can also sit down to eat but we just wanted a snack. We ordered ca keo (spiny goby) and calamari. Took about 20 minute wait for our take out order. It was quick and fresh. They even cut the corners of the Styrofoam to-go boxes to keep it crispy. The calamari was delicious. We took it to another location and it still kept it’s warmth and crispiness. I never had the spiny goby before. It’s more of a snack when drinking. You eat the entire thing. It’s very crunch and crispy, the bones are very soft. Be careful of the peppers in both dish. The seeds can rub off and cause a kick of spiciness. I would like to come back for dining and try the lobster and other items.

Dewz Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1505 J St, Modesto

It hurts me to leave this review. This was hands-down the best restaurant in town before changing ownership. Unfortunately every time I’ve been back has been disappointing and I will not be back. Cocktails are still good but the food has just gone downhill. We ordered the pork belly and calamari appetizers and a couple of drinks. Pork belly was ok, not quite crispy or succulent enough. It was served with crisped rice and nut, it was interesting but didn’t quite come together and felt disconnected. The calamari has always been a favorite but this time seemed to be lacking something key – calamari. The breading and sauces were good but the calamari pieces were so tiny that I didn’t actually taste calamari at all in the whole dish. At the end we were left with almost an entire plate full of crunch pieces where the calamari was non-existent. This is a great example of cheapening the ingredients and raising the prices. Last time we were here we had dinner and agreed it was no longer worth it. The dishes were just ok and the lobster bisque was noticeably not as rich as it used to be. I will miss you Dewz.

Catch A Piece of Maine – Menu with Prices – 40 Commercial St, Portland

I wasn’t sure what to get my sweetheart for his birthday, but I always remembered him telling me how much he loved lobster! Being that I am in New England and live Maine lobster is the best in the world, I decided a live Maine lobster would be an excellent present to have shipped to my honey in California! It was perfect. He loved it. I ordered him up the jumbo lobster. The lobster was sweet, succulant, and delicious. I highly recommend Catch A Piece Of Maine when purchasing your live lobster. I love the professionalism of this business. Roland was very prompt and helpful in assisting me with my order ensuring it arrived to my love on time for his birthday. I visited at least 5 or more other websites offering fresh live Maine lobster but this one in my opinion looked the best. There is plenty of literature and a youtube video to watch on how they catch the lobster right on the boat, box it up nice and fresh and ready to deliver. The perishable package arrived on time and the lobster came in a styrofoam cooler wrapped up nicely in seaweed. My sweety nicknamed his lobster “Charlie”. Later that evening he steamed and devoured Charlie. The lobster was such a big hit, he told me he could of at least ate 3 of these suckers thats how good it was. A few weeks later he ordered a couple for his brothers birthday from this same company. Next time I will be ordering the 6 pack of lobsters for my love. Again I highly recommend this place!

Cafe Prima Pasta – Menu with Prices – 414 71st St, Miami Beach

Blown away! Did not think I would find such amazing pasta dishes in Miami! My husband and I were visiting for the weekend and this came up in our search with really great reviews, now we understand why! Los Guidry’s Thoughts and Recommendations: – Seating options were good. We arrived a little late on a Sunday (8:30) with no reservations and we were still seated inside pretty quickly. We each grab a glass of wine at the bar and waited 15 minutes? There was plenty of seating outdoors too but we preferred a table indoors. – Food was PHENOMENAL! As the appetizer we ordered the calamari. We order calamari almost everywhere but this is probably some of the best we’ve ever had. The calamari was not chewy, tasted fresh and wasn’t greasy. The marinara sauce it was paired with was all the flavors this app needed. – Pasta pasta pasta! I mean, where do I start? My husband ordered the pasta of the day which was a red sauce based- seafood medley spaghetti with lobster tail, mussels, and shrimp and I ordered the Crab Raviolotti which is crab stuffed ravioli swimming in lobster sauce and oh my goodness. We were in ITALIAN HEAVEN! If you thought there was no such thing- EH you’re wrong, it’s at Cafe Prima Pasta. – Service was perfection. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire night. From the moment we walked over to the table, the service was absolute perfection. If you can’t tell by now, I freaking love this place. No doubt, my husband and I will be back next time we’re in Miami. Hope this review helps!

Cafe Mi Quang – Menu with Prices – 3324 Kensington Ave, Philadelphia

This restaurant is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Philadelphia area. My mom’s friend knew about this restaurant and recommended to my mom. My mom ordered some take-out for me to try before and I was in love!!! I love their Mi Quang. They have three kinds of Mi Quang: Special Mi Quang, Shrimp and Pork Mi Quang, and Shrimp and Chicken Mi Quang. Special Mi Quang has Chicken, Pork Ribs, and Shrimps. And I usually order this one every time I’m there. The chicken was fried to golden. It was crispy outside and tender in the inside. I can still taste the sweetness of the meat and the juice when I took a first bite. Omg pork ribs were so soft. When I took a bite, I can feel the meat separate perfectly from the bone!!! I also love their crab noodle soup (Bun Rieu). The broth was super flavorful and savory. I appreciate their herbs and vegetables side dish. They included lots of fresh herbs that lots of restaurants don’t offer. Their Vietnamese hoagies or AKA Banh Mi are the best Banh Mi that I’ve ever had. I believe they have grilled Pork, Ham, Meat Ball, and Pork Belly. My all time favorite is the Pork Belly. Just like other dishes, the restaurant took their time to prep their banh mi. Banh Mi is fresh and crispy. Pork Belly are flavorful, savory, juicy, tender, and addicting!!! I appreciate the fact that they put the veggies and the sauce on the side, so the banh mi wont get soggy. I love that they place banh mi in a styrofoam container, so your banh mi wont get smashed or squished (which happens very often with other places.) Its the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. However, last time I went, I don’t see them putting them in those styrofoam boxes anymore :(( sadddd! Please keep the boxes, they make a big difference! I almost gave up on going to Vietnamese restaurants because they always failed me in the past. I would like a Vietnamese restaurant at the beginning, then after awhile all the restaurants were trying to cut corners and then the quality weren’t the same anymore. Consistency is important when it comes to business, especially restaurants. Cafe Mi Quang has kept their quality consistently. Even though it takes me 40′ drive to get here, I don’t mind as long as the food is great! Please keep up the work, and don’t cut corners. Bring the styrofoam boxes back! We love them!

Little Katana Las Colinas – Menu with Prices – 6420 N MacArthur Blvd #140, Irving

My family and I came here for dinner one night and really enjoyed! We shared a few appetizers, the calamari (delicious and crispy. Had some fried jalapeños in there as well) and the jalapeño popper appetizer (also delicious with raw tuna and crab on top and jalapeño on bottom!). We all really enjoyed these. For entree most of my family for bento boxes. You need to ask for the dinner menu bento boxes if you want to order them, since the dinner bento menu is separate from the regular dinner menu. My boyfriend and I shared three sushi rolls, a classic spicy tuna, the spicy crawfish, and the sunny roll. All were delicious!! And really hit the spot of my sushi craving. All in all amazing food and my mom even enjoyed it! And she’s incredibly picky. As for the service, it was decent but a little lacking. Initially we had to wait a bit for them to get utensils/dinner napkin for us when the appetizers were already served. Secondly, when my mom got her bento box, it was supposed to come with shrimp and vegetable tempura but they skipped it on her plate, leaving just lettuce. When we told our waitress, she agreed. Five minutes later another waitress comes and said it didn’t come with the “nigiri” bento but my dad got that bento, not her. We corrected their mistake but it just took an altercation and misunderstanding to get there.

Amore Ristorante – Menu with Prices – 4681 Tamiami Trail N, Naples

This was the first time I’ve been to this restaurant and I wasn’t that impressed. Four of us went here for my wife’s birthday, my son and daughter-in-law. We had reservations and we were seated promptly, we had to wait 15 minutes for our waiter to get our drink order, then when he came he told us about the specials and disappeared for another 10 minutes before he took our orders. My daughter-in-law and I ordered the sea food special, my wife the pork chop and son the veal. It took us about an hour to get our meal and when we did my son got the wrong dinner it wasn’t even veal the seafood meals were cold on the outside of the plate and barely warm in the middle of the plate, I was told that there would be scallops and shrimp and lobster tail, well I got 1 shrimp, 1 scallop and a lobster that was the size of a crawfish, and a whole lot of calamari (which wasn’t supposed to be in the meal) I don’t like calamari. The sea food wasn’t cooked properly all it was a disappointment. The only reason I gave it this many stars is my wife meal was good but she couldn’t understand why she only got a piece of meat and no sides. I you like throwing your money away enjoy this place but there a better places in Naples this was Olive Garden quality at an unrealistic price.

Ocean Hunter Fish Market – Menu with Prices – 114-38 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica

Finally made it to Ocean Hunter and it was sooooooo worth it! I was purchasing dinner for a small family celebration. Feeding 7 ppl with different requests could’ve been a total nightmare but thanks to the staff…it was a breeze! I ordered steamed salmon w/ corn, coconut shrimp, fried whiting, calamari, scallops, rice, salad and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious but that calamari…was PERFECT!!! I usually only eat a few calamari when dining out because it’s either poorly seasoned or rubbery. This was NOT the case at OH!! While driving home…I ate so many that I had to stop myself. The the crunchy batter and lemon pepper flavor was so spot on…and not one had that rubbery consistency. My family enjoyed everything and my younger nephews now like calamari too! We will be regulars at OH!

Ti Amo Ristorante Italiano – Menu with Prices – 6024 S Sheridan Rd A, Tulsa

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were in Tulsa for Scotfest 2019. We have been to the downtown location a couple times and just loved it. But since we were at the Windham hotel for the festival, I found this location was closer. Anyway, we shared a caprese salad, a bowl of lobster bisque (which is a MUST HAVE at this restaurant) and the meat ravioli. The portions are generous. I always have a hard time deciding what was the best meals we eat Ti Amo’s. But to be honest, I always go back to the lobster bisque. This ain’t no thin Red Lobster soup where you have to really search to find the lobster! Every spoon full of bisque has lobster in it at Ti Amo’s!! The ravioli and salad were both awsome as well. They serve you bruschetta first, then the salad, then the main course and with it some out of this world bread! Like I said, my wife and I both shared the salad, soup, ravioli, and a piece of phenomenal NY style cheesecake. We were both stuffed, and we had some bisque left over to bring home. This is a nice restaurant. But if you want a more quaint setting, I would pick the downtown setting. But this location has just as good of food as the downtown. It just isn’t as quiet than this one. The service is always excellent at these restaurants. Bottom line is, if you love Italian food, this is THE 2 restaurants in town to go to!!!!

Rollin Lobstah – Menu with Prices – 964 Airport Rd SW, Huntsville

Went with the family for Sunday brunch. I ordered the lobster and gouda cheese omelette and it was very good. The lobster was plentiful and the gouda added a very nice flavor. The omelette was a very good size. It is served with pan fried potatoes which are always delish. Dad ordered the lobster benedict and it was good. It also came with the potatoes. Brother ordered the crabcakes and they looked good. My only comment on the lobster is that it had a different look than usual. It had a red/orange tint, it must be some sort of seasoning that they put on it, but really lobster doesnâ??t need anything added. Will go back, just curious about the seasoning on the lobster.

The Spaniard – Menu with Prices – 5303 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa

I had Ropa Vieja and Fried Calamari. The calamari is crispy with a great batter. If I had known they put sauce all over, I would have requested it on the side. It makes some pieces mushy after a while, ruining the crunch. The Ropa Vieja is tender, well-seasoned meat with yellow rice, black beans, yucca & plantains. Surprisingly the yucca was my favorite thing; it’s almost like thick but crispy fries. I didn’t know all that came with the meal because they need better descriptions. I can’t offer an opinion on the black beans; sorry I can’t eat a whole bowl like that, but my friend enjoyed them. The portion was a good size; a friend and I split it and I left very full. I agree with some other reviews about the service. We were there on Thursday late afternoon/early evening. We were the only ones there, yet service was very slow to bring food and even slower the bring the bill. I was ready to leave probably 30 minutes earlier than when I finally received my bill. I think because it’s new they are still working out the kinks. I’m willing to try again because our server was friendly and the food was good. It is next door to my job so if my coworkers suggest it for another after work happy hour, I’ll go back. However, if it wasn’t in a convenient location for me, I’m not sure how likely I would be to revisit.

Bob’s Clam Hut Portland – Menu with Prices – 111 Cumberland Ave, Portland

I stopped by here on a Saturday night last month with my wife for dinner. We had noticed Bob’s Clam Hut on a previous visit to Portland and were excited that we had time to visit on this one. Bobs Clam Hut is located on the corner of Cumberland Ave and consists of some parking, a building with indoor seating and then a large outdoor seating area as well. It’s the type of place where you walk up to the cash register and place your order before having it delivered to you whenever it is ready. Since it was a nice night, my wife and I opted to sit outside after placing our order. For dinner on this day my wife and I both decided to get the Bob & Betty combo which the menu says feeds 1. We chose fried lobster tails and whole belly clams for the one and then clams and calamari for the other. After a wait our food was brought out to us and my wife and I dug in, sharing everything with each other. The first piece of food that I decided to try was a fried lobster tail which I can’t say that I had tried before the. Surprisingly to me, it ended up being good as the saltiness of the breading worked well with the natural sweetness from the lobster. Once I had tried that I proceeded to try the rest of the seafood, all of which was quite enjoyable. Granted by the time that we were finished, both my wife and I had our fill of fried food. Still we both enjoyed everything that we had eaten and were happy that we came here. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I enjoyed all of the options of seafood that we had here and would be interested in trying more in the future.

House Of Pepper – Menu with Prices – 1550 S Gateway Rd, Mississauga

This place not only does not taste good, but it also engages in false advertising, unethical business behaviour, and has poor customer service. My family spent a lot of time outside their shop, examining the menu in great detail. We were very much attracted to the sizzling pan on which the dish is offered, which we saw many customers in the food court enjoying. The worker there interacted with us many times, trying to persuade us to change to a set meal, but we were adamant in ordering separately. Despite the total being much more expensive, we were vocal in our desire to receive the sizzling pan. When our food arrived, it came packaged in white Styrofoam boxes. We immediately asked why, and requested that it be changed immediately. They refused. We didn’t understand why it didn’t come in the sizzling pan, as promised by the photos and as enjoyed by the other customers. The worker said it was because “we never asked to have it explicitly, nor did we pay an additional amount to have it served as such”. Throughout the entire ordeal, she had an attitude that reflected a mentality that we were wrong – that, as customers, the onus was on us to ask and request. What kind of messed up logic is this? Another worker then chimed in, stating that we wouldn’t want the sizzling pans anyway since “they’re dirty, and the Styrofoam boxes are much cleaner”. How idiotic of her to say that, since it means that they’re running an unsanitary business that preys on customers unethically. By this point, we decided that it was pointless to argue, and just left. The food was utterly nasty. My satay fried udon had no satay flavour whatsoever, and the Singaporean noodles likewise had no curry flavour. We had to go home and refry the two dishes, adding in more satay and curry. The company is shameless in its desire to make profits by decreasing the quality of its ingredients and increasing its revenue through the aforementioned means. The pad thai was a poor excuse, and the flavour was flat. It literally tasted like ketchup. I rarely write scathing reviews, but I had a dismal and poor experience here. I will never return, and discourage others from coming here. There are many better options in the food court!
