Most authentic Italian bakery in Erie. If you want genuine Italian cookies, imports, breads, rolls, and the best pizza shells in town this is the place to go. Place was started by first generation Italians and have been going here since my childhood years! Years ago they used to make an out-of-this-world garlic bread. I wish they would bring that back. It wouldn’t be Sunday without waking up to a warm fresh loaf of garlic bread!

Nicosia’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 781 Burke Ave, The Bronx

this bread bakery brings back plenty of good memories for me . it’s been on burke ave the bronx since the early 1925 and folks keep coming for the fresh italian bread that is second to none. when i was a young lad i would be on burke ave hanging with friends and visiting my granny and aunt who lived right across the street from the bakery and that smell of fresh hot bread hitting the air was powerful . they bake the bread really early in the morning and then deliver the assorted breads and rolls to supermarkets , deli’s , bodegas , etc . the shop itself inside and outside is plain and simple but it’s all about the breads . they also carry cookies and other types of pastries but for me it’s a few loafs of seeded bread and it’s a wrap . i recommend coming in the morning when everything is still hot and fresh . the prices are still reasonable and quality has not dropped after all these years . i grew up in the area and nicosias bread bakery is one of the reasons i make an effort to keep coming back.

Big Sky Bread Co Inc – Menu with Prices – 6606 N Western Ave, Oklahoma City

I feel like this is my second review of BSB, but I am very absentminded. I’m just confused because I feel like I’ve been here before but can’t find it Their bread makes the best bread based items. I guess I could just say they have the best bread. Seriously look at the ingredient list on their breads and argue with me about it. You’d look silly Most of the time I’ll buy the German rye because I love making grilled cheese with that. The cinnamon raisin is an awesome dessert; just eat it plain right out of the bag. I dare you to make bread pudding or French toast with it. Don’t ask me if I have cause I’ll just lie and say no They can slice a loaf for you thin or thick and they have two loaf sizes They have cinnamon rolls and granola and cookies and muffins among other things too Parking and accessibility are a cinch

The Bread Artisans Bakery – Menu with Prices – 6925 4th St N, St. Petersburg

Fantastic, fresh-baked, natural bread. I didn’t realize until recently that most bread we eat is not made the way people made it for hundreds of years. I wanted to try a real sourdough loaf from people who use an actual starter and not bags of yeast and added sugar. I wanted bread close to the way it used to be made because I’ve been learning that it is way healthier this way and I felt it might be tastier, too. I went here on a Saturday morning and asked what their best bread was. The lady, who I presume is the co-owner with her husband who was in the middle of actually baking bread right there, was very humble. She didn’t brag about the bread but instead talked about the bread itself. She told me to start with a true sourdough loaf and then come back and branch out. She handed me a still hot loaf in a paper bag and told me to let it settle before I broke into it. I would like to tell you that I had self-control with this notion but once it got into my car, the smell was so damn good that I thought I would just take a small little whiff. I picked up the bag and the crust cracked in a fresh-baked way that I have missed since my family used to make homemade breads. I’ll be honest, half the loaf is already gone. The only reason it isn’t already gone is that I am trying to convince myself that I should not eat that much bread in one day. There’s still a few hours left of the day though. Probably won’t make it and I will have to go back on Monday for more.

bakery outlet – Menu with Prices – 4751 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs

Bread prices at the grocery store seem to only go up, and it’s not like there’s been a lot of innovation in bread since the infamous slicing machine came out. If you’re like me and want to play less for a loaf of bread than the cost of a tank of gas, the outlet stores are the place to go. You’ll almost always find sandwich bread for $1 or just a little more for the freshest loaves. Huge loaves of fresh Russian Rye and Sourdough are also available, bagels and muffins, plus cookies and other sweets, soup/gravy mixes and jams. With the outlet card and the new app, there’s a lot of opportunity to stock up on breads at an affordable price.

Bakersville Bread Company – Menu with Prices – 233 W King St Suite B, St. Augustine

Stopped in the owners are nice. I sampled the cheese bread, it was good. Kid enjoyed the soft pretzel. I requested a sample of the cinnamon raisin bread. They only had the loaf for purchase. When I got home it had a previously baked date on it. I assumed the bread was baked freshly daily. I should of ask. Both breads were good. They have a Facebook page that list’s there available breads daily. Just ask when the bread was made if your looking for fresh bread baked that day. I give it a 4/5 and I’ll be back.

Wildflour Gluten-Free Baking Company Menu with Prices 13600 NE 20th St, Bellevue

I heard about this Gluten Free bakery from a gal I met who went on and on about how good the beard was! It has been in my bookmark for months and I finally made it in over Memorial weekend. It was a little hard to find… it is located in a small strip of industrial businesses. When I went in there was nothing on he shelves so I thought they had sold out of everything! Darn! But they recently moved to pre ordering so that explained the empty shelves. I didn’t pre order but the owner said they always have a few extra items and she proceeded to bring out several delectable treats. They had some specialty items just for Memorial Day and their staple breads . I bought some short bread ( for strawberry shortcake) a s’mores bar and a lemon-blueberry loaf. She also gave me a baguette and a tomato basil roll so I could try there loaf breads. I have to say Gluten free breads and treats have come a long way!! Everything was very good!! I do not have gluten sensitivities and I thought these were just as good as any wheat flour bread if not better! I highly recommend this bakery!!

Orsi’s Italian Bakery & Pizzeria – Menu with Prices – 621 Pacific St, Omaha

Orsi’s is the kind of place that defines Omaha, a small, nondescript, family-run joint with great food and even better service. It simply must be experienced by all Omahans at some point. Housed in a brick building just off downtown, Orsi’s is a takeout pizza joint (though they will bring out folding tables and chairs if requested) that specializes in thick, pan pizzas. The restaurant doubles as a small store that sells breads, cheeses, and various sauces. The pizza, served in large rectangles and cut in square slices, is tremendous. The dough, made each morning, is fresh and light, yet holds up to the mound of toppings laid upon it. We ordered the combo pizza, upon which slightly sweet sauce is paired with black olives, hamburger, pepperoni, onions and green peppers to create a perfect combo pizza. The proteins provided the dominant flavor and brought just the right amount of salt, while the veggies served as wingmen to add freshness. Though we had about a 20-minute drive back home, the pizza remained warm and retained its freshness. Orsi’s also prides itself on its fresh breads, so we got an order of cheesy garlic bread. The garlic was present but not overbearing, and the butter and cheese brought a rich, fatty flavor that pulled everything together. The bread did become a bit soggy with time, though that’s to be expected. This appetizer is best eaten fresh. But here’s what really makes Orsi’s special. As we waited for our order, my wife and I milled around the shop portion and examined the various products. An Italian twist bread caught me eye, and I commented to my wife how good it looked. The owner, who was also working the register, told me to take a loaf free of charge. I tried to protest, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer. That hospitality is highly uncommon, even at great local restaurants. At Orsi’s, the pizza is great, but the people are even better. Pros: Incredible service; standout Sicilian pizza; fresh ingredients; tremendous cannoli; number of other great options available for sale; big portions Cons: No dining in (unless requested) Click here for my full review: https://justaguywithanappetite.wordpress.com/2018/03/09/restaurant-review-orsis-italian-bakery-pizzeria/

Scordato Bakery Inc – Menu with Prices – 5011 W Howard Ave, Milwaukee

Scordato Bakery is one of the best in the city. The bakery offers a wide variety of traditional Italian cookies that are beautiful to look at and so tasty. I often bring them to gatherings and an Italian friend commented that they were the best she had ever had and asked me a lot of questions about the bakery (she had never been, but now it is the only bakery she frequents). I actually learned about it from my sister who lives in Brookfield. There have been many stories about this bakery and their expertise and absolute joy in making the cookies. They sell them in a nice presentation box for a gift with each cookie described as well as by the pound. My sister purchased one of the presentation boxes of cookies at Sendiks and served it over the holidays and knew a lot about the bakery as she worked at the Milwaukee Journal and they wrote about it several times as one of those places that is a hidden gem in Milwaukee and well worth traveling too. We live pretty close, and often pick up their bread (very tasty), ham and rolls, and something fabulous is their pizza. It has a doughy bread crust and an awesome tomato/cheese topping and they sell it by the piece. Of course the sweets are out of this world. I am told by those of the Italian community that this bakery sells some specialities that are hard to find. Well worth traveling to this bakery from any part of the city – very fresh, authentic, tasty and reasonably priced. Also, nice people who own/run the bakery.

Outside the Breadbox – Menu with Prices – 2027 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs

So my 5 stars is for their products more than for the facility/location. Their products are in the Co Springs Whole Foods and Natural Grocers. I originally purchased a loaf of the vegan oat bread at Whole Foods and I can say it is probably the best GF bread I’ve ever had. Plus the carbs are low for GF bread- almost making me question the accuracy. I drove to their location specifically because in other reviews it appeared you could sample all of the products. Since I intended to stock up, I wanted to go there. Plus I figured you get a selection of ALL of their items vs the limitation of the stores that carry the products. As you know if you are GF that the items aren’t cheap. I didn’t want to drop money on a $6 loaf of bread and dislike it. So if you are thinking the same thing, be warned, they only sample whatever they’re baking that day. I went on a Thursday and they sampled jalapeño cheddar crackers, choc chip cookies and vegan oat hoagie rolls. So I wasn’t much farther ahead. The crackers were really good- tasted just like a cheez it. Maybe even more depth to the flavor. I got a another vegan oat, since I know I like it. I got brown rice bread, cinnamon raisin bread, garlic oat bagels and choc chip cookies. I haven’t tried the bagel or cinnamon raisin yet but the other items were awesome too! One additional note on their retail location- they have day old for 5% off and 2 day old for 10% off. It’s not a huge discount, but if you’re throwing it in the freezer, it’s worth the savings. Plus you know it sits a few days on the shelves of the other stores anyway ! The date was 4-5 days out. I also think the cost per loaf is less there. Bread was $5.99 and I paid 7.99 at Whole Foods for it. If it’s not out of your way, you’ll get to sample a few things, save a few bucks and know it’s super fresh!!

B C Baking Co Menu with Prices 27 Como Rd, Hyde Park

Tucked away in the residential neighborhood of Readville, not far from the Dedham line, and directly behind St. Anne’s Church and the old parish school, BC Baking Company is the go to place for locals who are looking for their daily loaf of bread, a slice or two of Sicilian pizza for lunch, or a holiday special such as Pizza Gana, the Italian Easter pie chock full of eggs, meats and cheeses.. . Along with the breads and rolls, cookies, cakes and pies you would expect from a traditional bakery, owner Jim Mariano offers a wide selection of deli meats, cheeses, and fresh made on the premises Italian sausages. Whether extra mild or extra hot and spicy, Karen is the professional sausage maker, who will happily make yours to order if you call ahead. And if you’re craving a traditional meat and cheese packed Italian sub from the deli, Jim’s daughter Deletta is the one to ask for.. . There is no denying that if you’re not familiar with the Readville neighborhood, BC Baking is not easy to find, but it is well worth going out of your way to discover. And when you’re there, be sure to try one of Jim’s famous calzones. My favorite is a fresh out of the brick oven chicken parm calzone.

Big Sky Bread Co – Menu with Prices – 3070 Far Hills Ave # c, Dayton

A fitting name for a bread company. Their breads are soft and fluffy like the clouds in the sky. I’ve had their cinnamon bread, wheat bread, pretzel rolls, and their garlic cheddar bread. The cinnamon bread was great! So much better than Cinnabon. The first part of the roll is perfect. Not too sweet, and super soft. As you get further to the end, the cinnamon only increases. Their pretzel rolls are perfect if you like salted pretzels. They are similar in saltiness. Out of all the baked goods I’ve tried from Big Sky, the pretzel rolls were the only ones that didn’t hold up well after a couple of days. Maybe it was the salt on the bread? Who knows. But by the second day the breads were soggy on the outside. On to their garlic cheddar bread. This bread is the best choice out of the four I’ve tried. So good. It tastes even better toasted.
