Clearly this restaurant doesn’t care about customer service or about the dining experience. Hands down one of the worst experiences eating out I have had in over 40 years. And to think it happened in our lovely city of Eugene, where people are super friendly and thoughtful! I wish I had read the negative reviews before choosing this restaurant for Valentine’s day – I would have steered clear. I felt that the restaurant staff would have enjoyed having fewer customers as well. Things started a little off when we arrived and were forced to stand against dining patrons, waiting to be seated for our reservation. The small crowd of people waiting to be seated bumping into others already eating their food surely couldn’t have been a nice experience for them. Then our experience progressively got worse. Next, we were seated at a dirty table and actually had to turn the table cloth over ourselves to hide the crumbs and grime. We were surprised at the “pizza parlor” decor complete with duct tape on old rusted metal chairs, many of which were ripped and dirty. After about 30 minutes of sitting, someone finally showed up and took our drink order. Knowing that we were likely to have another long wait to place any other orders, we took the opportunity to order our entrees as well, only to be told that they were already out of the Filet Mignon even though the evening was still young (obviously poor planning on part of the chef). My wife and I finished our drinks, even though we were sipping them slowly, and waited for another 20 minutes or so without any food. Meanwhile we were entertained by the staff bringing the wrong dishes to several tables, asking each one, did you order Gnocci? Did you order Filet (yes, the same filet they had just run out of)? etc. At first it was a bit charming, but I should have recognized then the situation we were in – this restaurant is poorly equipped to handle a business. Apparently others noticed as well because the table next to us left without being served (which is rather remarkable on Valentine’s day). After finishing our drinks and still without food, I approached the server and informed her about the situation and within a few minutes she promptly brought out my pasta with asparagus, but didn’t bring my wife’s order of crab legs. I took a few bites of the hot and tasty dish (but at $28 for pasta and asparagus, it had better be really tasty!) and then waited for my wife to be served her food. My dinner grew colder and colder as we waited for another 10-15 minutes, so I went in to ask about my wife’s food. Apparently it was sitting on the counter and all three servers had failed to notice. At that point, we decided to cut our loses and go elsewhere for dinner. This is where things took a turn for the remarkably bad. Without raising my voice or becoming angry, I mentioned to the young staff person that we would be leaving because of the bad service. She, and the other two staff members became very defensive, telling me about how difficult of a day it was for them. I simply replied that I understood that it was a difficult day, but I was just trying to relay my experience as a customer. After a few short exchanges of defensiveness on their part (and no apology at all), I asked to speak to the owner. Amazingly, I was promptly and curtly told “No!”. I simply asked, “Doesn’t the owner want to talk to customers” and was told again – very abruptly “No, he is in the back and doesn’t want to talk to any patrons”. I informed them that this would not reflect well in my review of the restaurant and was told “That’s fine, we have many friends”. This reply reminded me of restaurants on the east coast that have a separate line and phone number for their friends and family, while the “non-friends” have to wait and get horrible service. I realize after reading the reviews on Yelp that this is very much a h

Cantina Louie Menu with Prices Gerber Village, 2, Gerber Rd, Asheville

Went tonight. Said table for 4, when the table was ready, they said why do you have 4, we were told 2. I made a joke, no one laughed. They then sat us at a bar top table. Waited 15 minutes, no one came by to check on us, give us chips, water, nothing. Waitress were walking to the left of us and right of us, not one glanced at us. So we got up and left. We walked past the front and told the guy, that had seated us, no one ever came by so we are leaving where we can get some food. He asked what table are you at. I said you seated us 15 minutes ago…I don’t know what table it is. That’s all they said….my wife said good luck. I ve been in Asheville for 13 years and never had such bad service. This space has been a rotating door with restaurants, I’m not sure they will last either.

Mr. Kim Korean BBQ Restaurant Menu with Prices 12201 E Mississippi Ave #113, Aurora

I have eaten here several times and the service has never been anything to write home about, but came here tonight and I am completely disappointed and pissed off with my experience (or should I say non experience). Walked in and waited for a a minute or so before someone came and acknowledged us. He takes us to our table and gets us water. It’s AYCE so it’s pretty easy to just know what you want to order right away. I am usually patient and want to give them the benefit of the doubt because I already know their service isn’t the greatest. Well, we waited and waited and waited. Two more parties came in and were both sat. One party (non Asian) got sat first. Then an Asian party gets seated right next to us and one of servers goes over to them and takes their order within two minutes of them sitting down… yes before my table who was seated before all three parties and before the non Asian party seated before them. We had been waiting for 13 minutes and no one came and talked to us or acknowledged us at all. So I figure okay, the server is probably gonna take our order next… maybe she’s busy. After she takes the order next to us, she starts walking away. Then she starts walking toward us again after setting menus down so I just stare at her and we lock eyes. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and you can tell when someone needs something. Then she walks right past us still not acknowledging us. I could’ve waived her down, but kinda just wanted to see if she was really not going to come to our table at all. That was enough for me. We have never waited that long nor been completely ignored here. It’s a shame bc this place has good food and decent prices. Like I said, I have eaten here several times before, even brought friends and family here. This experience was so bad that I will definitely not come back again. Will now be taking my business to any other kbbq place. This was completely ridiculous!!!

Daily Grill – Menu with Prices – 1607 Wewatta St, Denver

Couldn’t sit at the bar bc it was closed for a private event-that no one was at. Was told it would take 10 minutes for a table, despite open tables all over the restaurant. (We were told they were supposedly being held for reservations. Hint: if people don’t show up for a reservation and you have a lobby full of people, those people should become the priority.) Were seated 20 minutes after arrival. Waited 10 minutes for service. Had to ask for water. Had to wait another 10 minutes for our drinks. We intentionally put our entire food order in at once because we could tell it was going to be a long wait. 1/3 of it never arrived and we were only told they one pot pie left when we had ordered two when they brought us the only one they had. (Our friends heard the kitchen staff tell our server they were out 20 minutes before we were notified.) While the ahi and wing happy hour specials were quite good and the manager tried to redeem the experience, I just don’t know that I would make an attempt to go back. They have quite a long way to come to compete with the other places in the area.

Daisy’s Garage – Menu with Prices – 5240 Edgewood Rd NE, Cedar Rapids

We ate here a number of times last spring and were always so pleased with the service that we once called over the manager to commend her and her staff. Tonight however, we were very dissatisfied . When we entered we were asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or restaurant area. We were not told there was outside seating. The restaurant was freezing. We ordered and waited an exorbitant amount of time for our food. During that wait, family friends came in and told us they were going to go grab a seat outside. They did so. When we next saw our waitress we told her we’d like to move outside. She told us there were no tables. I went out and looked and there were in fact several empty tables. I came back in and told her we had found one and that we’d like to go outside. Then another waitress interrupted us and said those were all for people on a wait list in the bar. Our friends were not on a wait list when they immediately entered and sat outside. I suspect that the outside waitresses did not have the capacity to take anymore customers. But rather than say that, the staff was rude and gave us a nonsensical answer. After 20-30 minutes, my husband was finally served and I was told mine food was still being prepared. We waited another several minutes before I was served. I don’t know if management has changed but we are very disappointed.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Greenville Golf Resort & Conference Center – Menu with Prices – 670 Verdae Blvd, Greenville

Would of rated this higher if it wasn’t for the slow service and lousy customer experience! Our lamb chops were phenomenal but they took forever. We were told they were ” out of bread” so our wait seemed even longer. We weren’t even greeted and seated until standing a good 8 minutes and then were told they would be right with us and waited some more until finally seated. The restaurant had 4 other tables seated with customers so the wait was not because of a busy night. Nooooo- it is because the people who were ordering delivery to their rooms were getting precedence over the customers who were actually sitting in the restaurant. To make matters worse we were told by our waitress that she ” wouldn’t be around” after serving us our desert and to go to the cashier to take care of our bill. Why not just give us our check then? We waited in the hopes we would see her again and eventually went to the register to only have to wait again for a live person to take care of us. By this time there are 2 seated tables besides us and it was still confusing for the cashier to find the right ticket. It was all just ridiculous. We spent alot of money here and were given very little thought. Never again. Because of their horrendous customer service my husband and I do not recommend eating here!

Adline Hot Wings Express – Menu with Prices – 2736 James Rd, Memphis

This is the third time we’ve waited over an hour for a call in order. The first time, I arrived after calling in an order. I waited. I asked the young lady after seeing a few people place orders and get their food before me to check for my order. She said it hadn’t come up. Come to find out, our order was sitting in the window the entire time. I asked the original cashier (who is always sweet) to check and she came and pointed it out to the girl who’d taken her place. Total wait was about 45 to 50 minutes. On one occasion, I called in and I placed an order for my mother and her coworkers for their lunch. She came from downtown and waited an hour after her arrival (not counting commute time) before they had the order ready. I had to call them to make sure they put it in during the call and the girl told me they don’t cook until you arrive and pay which means it’s pointless to call in. Today my mom called in at 12:30, went to the restaurant and paid and waited. At 1:30 she was told that her order would be ten more minutes when she asked for a refund. The young lady walked off as my mother was talking to her explaining that she’d already waited entirely too long. This is the worst place when it comes to customer service. You come in and the girls are rolling their eyes and frowning every time I go and the one nice girl isn’t there. They don’t greet you or say hey I’ll be with you in a moment. It’s just horrible. Today was the final straw.

Mac & Nelli’s – Menu with Prices – 4926 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem

My wife and I visited arriving about 7PM. As we walked in we were struck by the observation that hardly anyone was there in a rather large dining area. We received the menus and my wife placed her order. She requested a simple change to the Italian item she ordered for medical reasons and the waitress questioned why she would want to do that to an Italian dish. I requested the prime rib (the menu stating it was served on Friday and Saturday nights) and was told the menu is being changed and that it will not be carried anymore since they now have a new chef. My wife’s orders were taken but I said I needed a couple more minutes since they did not have what I had wanted. After a rather lengthy wait my wife’s wine arrived and I placed my order including my wine, We had now been there about 20 minutes in an notably uncrowded place except for a table of about 6 or 8 (couldn’t actually see the whole table) and only 2 more customers had arrived. The waitress was invisible. Meanwhile my wine did not come. After about 10-15 minutes, I got up to head for the bar, which had not been very busy at all, and the waitress was standing at the other end and said ‘I am here to get your wine’ or something –I could not hear her very well. She brought the wine to our table and said the bar keeper had not seen the order–again they were 3 customers at the bar, all of whom had been in the restaurant when we arrived. We kept waiting for the food to arrive and she finally came out of the kitchen with the service for all at that one table of 6-8. After she finished that, she finally saw me waving to her and went back to the kitchen. The food finally arrived about 50 minutes after we did. No other items were brought while we waited–like bread. My grilled pork chop was good. But my wife quickly reported that her chicken piccata was terrible and certainly looked that way– swimming in a greasy pool of something. She did not eat it. In the end, when we went home she fixed a salad for dinner. The waitress saw that my wife had not eaten her dish at all. When told it was not good at all, the waitress offered to take it off the bill and also we heard her in the distant kitchen discussing it with the chef. In addition to all of this, while we waited so very long , we saw dirty floors all around our area and wondered when they were last swept given how few customers were in the place. AND we saw bugs crawling on the floor and wondered how clean the kitchen might be.The owners need to call Robert Irvine and his Restaurant Impossible Crew.

Flying Dog Tap House Menu with Prices Terminal A, 7050 Friendship Rd, Baltimore

Horrible experience just trying to get a seat. My wife and I were not in a hurry as we walked up to get a table. Pam, the hostess, told us they only had high tops available at that time. I said no problem we will wait for a low top. She rudely told us just stand over there which we did. Another couple came up behind us and asked for a table for two. She walked through the restaurant, wiped off a low top table, and gave it to them. I politely asked why we did not get seated before the couple that came up behind us. She told us it?s not a big deal, tables open all the time. She then tried to sit us at a hightop. I again explained that I have a knee issues and needed a low top table. She said she?s not going to argue with me and we just needed to wait. I explained that I do not want to argue either but wanted to know why they got seated in front of us. She said she tends to be more accommodating to those who are willing to sit down anywhere. Another lady overheard the conversation as she was leaving and said the exact same thing happened to her. After waiting a little while longer, she finally sat us and was impolite while doing so. She stopped and talked to our would be waitress on the way to our seat. It took forever for our waitress to finally come get our drink order. My wife said she was uncomfortable eating dinner as she was afraid they would do something to our food. We just got up and left. Can?t speak about the food but we?ll never go back due to the rude customer service. By the way, I read google reviews all the time but never felt the need to leave one until now with this horrible experience.

Shoji Sushi & Hibachi – Menu with Prices – 2575 Main St, Frisco

This restaurant is very mismanaged. My wife and I arrived at 7:30 PM. We requested Hibachi and were told by the host there was one party ahead of us and that it would be a few minutes before we were seated. No problem at all. Totally expect some amount of wait for Hibachi, especially being in a small party. We saw the party ahead of us seated but noticed that the host now seemed very frantic. A few parties came in and were seated for Hibachi almost immediately which made us wonder if our name was still on the list. But the host kept looking up at us. â??Just a few more minutes,â? heâ??d say. As 8:00 PM rolled by, two families walked in and were now in the Hibachi queue. Several times, waitresses and cooks came up from the back to talk to the host which seemed odd, as if they were dealing with some other issue. This made the few-minute-turned-half-hour wait seem more reasonable. Thirty more minutes passed though with no news. At 8:30 PM, a family of seven walked in the door. About two minutes later we were finally seated. An hour wait in total but at least we were now comfortable and had a great view of the grill. As soon as we could get situated though, the host came by and motioned for us to stand up again. He told us we were going to the party room. He then added five place settings to the table leaving us to awkwardly stand in the middle of the dining room for several minutes. The party of seven who had checked in seconds before were seated in our spots. We followed him to the entrance and he gestured for us to sit back down in the waiting area we had just been in for over an hour. We waited again for the party room to be cleared out. Finally, we were seated with the two families that had now waited over thirty minutes. The party room has two grills and we were seated on the far right side. Because there were two kids at the left grill, we figured the chef would use that one and we were right which put us approximately 10 feet from the action. Understandable, but not really the same Hibachi experience. After an hour wait, the pace of Hibachi seems to take much longer. I took the first picture when we were first seated: 8:36 PM. I took the second picture at 8:55 PM. Still no chef. Youâ??ll see I ordered Edamame and it had been boiled and salted, but arrived cold. Chef came by shortly after, which put our entree at 9:30 PM, two hours after we arrived. My wife prefers her steak medium rare, but to her chagrin, has to order it well done for medical reasons. The chef made a joke at her expense. Needless to say, it was difficult to fork up $60 for the experience my wife and I had at Shoji. Itâ??s strange that everyone in line is quoted â??just a few minutes,â? but that could mean immediately, thirty minutes from now, or in an hour. Perhaps if we were in a larger party or had kids, the treatment would have been better.

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya – Menu with Prices – 4502 S Steele St, Mall Suite 501A, Tacoma

First of all, I just want to say that the noodles here are really good. I had the shoyu ramen and the broth, noodles, and accoutrements were all fantastic. Great job for the cooking team. That being said, the service here is just a step above awful, getting a table and paying for your meal is wonky, and for how much front of house staff they have, things move slow. When you walk in, there’s this expectation that you use their iPad to get a table. No one greets you. So once you input your name, front of house staff seat you once your name comes up in the queue. I was seated and I browsed the menu for a few minutes. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. My server finally came and took my order (ramen and a beer) after sitting there browsing my phone for almost 10 minutes. Then I waited some more. 10 minutes later I got my beer. 5 minutes later I got an apology that things were taking so long. 20 minutes after I was seated, I finally got my noodles. I came here alone. I ordered one dish and one beer. And by the time it arrived I had been here 30 minutes. Food was great. Broth was rich. My egg was perfectly cooked. The pork was succulent. It was great. But halfway through my meal I needed to use the restroom, so I headed to the bathroom. When I came back to my table, it was in the middle of being cleared by the front of house staff. I hadn’t paid for my meal. I could have just walked out of there. But I told the staff that I wasn’t done and to please let me finish my noodles and beer (both half-consumed). Upon finishing my meal, I sat for another 10 minutes waiting for the check. But there is no check. There’s a staff member with an iPad with pre-selections for tips and an electronic signature panel. Just feels really disconnected from a sit-down restaurant. In total, it took me one hour to get a bowl of noodles and a beer. I could go to any pho shop and accomplish this in 15 minutes. This restaurant adopts the worst parts about getting a table, being seated, being served, and paying for food, and combines it with legitimately good food. The juxtaposition of great food and bad service makes you wonder why they don’t just fix the front of house problems. But they’ve seemed to double-down on bad service at every opportunity where, with the amount of staff they have, they could just drop what’s slowing them down and just run a traditional front of house that’s responsive and service-oriented. Anyway hope this helps. I will probably not come back as I can scratch my noodle itch at any one of a dozen pho shops in Tacoma. Yes, the ramen and the broth here is good, but it’s just not worth the hassle.

Harvest on 25th – Menu with Prices – 112 N 25th St, Waco

I’m giving Harvest one star only because giving ZERO stars is not an option! We arrived at 10:45 yesterday morning and were told by the manager that there would be a wait of about 20 min for a table and then another 45 min or so to get our food for our party of seven. My daughter questioned the 20 min estimate and we were told 20-30 tops. He suggested we put our name on the list and walk to a local coffee shop while we wait and that we’d get a text. So, we took his suggestion and walked to Pinewood for coffee. After about 45 min we had not received a text about our table being ready so we came back to check. From that point forward things just continued to get worse. When we checked on our table he just kept telling us it was almost ready. By 12:00 or so he came over to ask if we could be seated at the bar area. We politely declined since it’s impossible for seven friends and family to talk and visit sitting in a row. And we had been very patiently waiting for a long time already. He asked us to go ahead and place our order and pay and said he thought we would be able to be seated by the time our food was ready. So we did. We finally were seated after waiting over an HOUR AND A HALF! No food though and only six chairs. Also, they were running out of menu items. We sat and waited for our now paid for food. As you can imagine we were starving! We also were only given four glasses for water with a small pitcher on the table. No one checked with us or seemed to care about us at all. Our friends daughters went to the counter to check on our orders and this man who knew how long we’d been waiting for a table and food became very accusatory and hostile telling her that it was basically our fault that we didn’t have food since they were busy and that we had never been told that the wait was 20-30 min. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional to the point of almost making her cry!!! We told him we wanted our money refunded. He did that but never once admitted he’d done anything wrong. It’s UNBELIEVABLE just how bad our experience was at Harvest. By the time we left we had been there close to TWO AND A HALF HOURS and had not had a single bite to eat!!! We will NEVER go back there even though the menu looked pretty good. Hands down the WORST restaurant experience I’ve had ANYWHERE! Note to manager/owner of Harvest on 25th please go spend some time at Chick-Fil-A and see what a successful restaurant does for their customers. We had a fantastic lunch there after this awful experience. Becoming a sought after restaurant is far more than having good items on your menu. You will not stay in business long if the service we received continues to happen!

Raw Bar Baltimore Menu with Prices 2809 Boston St, Baltimore

I would have given this a 5 star, but unfortunately our very first encounter at the host stand is why I’m deducting the star. My friends and I had placed a reservation early in the day for a party of 4 with a special request to sit in our friends section as we wanted to support her at this new place. When we arrived, they explained to us that the server we had requested had no tables for about 30/40 mins. As a group we were trying to decide if waiting for her was ok, which was fine, the “manager” I believe? Rudely interrupted our discussion by coming off very abrupt and defensive explaining that the reason we can’t be seated now is because her section is full… well little did he know we all have worked in the industry and we clearly understood that, we were making sure with one another that we would be willing to wait. He then must have read our expressions of shock and then explained that we could easily wait the 30 minutes just walking around the place. Which the wait turned into over an hour. We were ok with waiting but don’t understand why the request that had been specified through open table wasn’t even considered because the table in her section hadn’t even ordered the food when they gave us that time frame. As a former hostess, requests are given for reasons and I understand that not all requests can be made but this restaurant was not at full capacity at 7:30 and definitely had open tables, so not to sure why the request couldn’t have been accommodated. We waited upstairs and had some drinks while we waited for our table. The bartender upstairs was extremely friendly and very attentive. The drink menu had an awesome variety and prices were fair. We finally were seated and this is where the experience really was great. Our table ordered mussels, oysters, shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare to start, everything was GREAT! We then ordered the blackened chicken sandwich, shrimp roll, 8 oz. filet (med rare), and the double crab cakes. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. The filet was quoted the “best steak” she ever had. My shrimp roll was phenomenal, the bread was toasted perfectly and the fries are to die for. Will absolutely be back, just hoping to not have a manager become so defensive at something that was no where near a problem.
