One of my routine stops whenever I’m in a rush, quick drive up, grab and go. Great service and good quick conversation if you want or you can just chill if you’re not chatty. I’m fairly old fashion(ish), I just like my coffee over ice, black. I can say I really do enjoy the taste of the house coffee, It’s a quality tasting bean, darkish but doesn’t taste burnt. Assuming that’s the base of the many other things they serve; the base is excellent so the rest I’d imagine is great. If you’re into dark coffees, definitely try the cold brew, wonderful tasting beverage. Prices are very fair, I really have no complaints or suggestions, they’re quick and simple which is the point so excellence from every angle.

Are you or someone you love a Coffee Lover? Here’s a cool (and Free) thing to do in Durham: Counter Culture’s ‘Tasting at Ten’ Every Friday at 10 AM,  stop and taste coffee and enjoy a tour of Counter Culture Coffee Headquarters and Training Center. Open to the Public, rain or shine, they welcome friends, customers, and all coffee lovers to these free tastings to come together at their regional training centers. Each week Counter Culture chooses a coffee or coffees to feature and a complimentary brewing method. Today we tried  The Andes, limited release a blend of 2 coffees from the Andes Mountain range. High quality, sweet from Columbia/Peru. We learned how to identify the Flavor,Acidity, and Body of the coffee. Participants are guided through the tasting (no experience necessary, all are welcome) and Counter Culture shares details about where the coffee comes from and why they love it. After the tasting, we went on a tour of the Durham roastery. Tasting + Tour lasts an hour. Both fun and informative, this is a great way to start the morning and a cool day date idea.

Loveland Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 5125-C Bush River Rd, Columbia

This was my first time trying Loveland Coffee and it was wonderful. I went to a coffee and chocolate tasting at the roastery. It included four chocolates from Evolution Through Chocolate and the 4 coffees from Loveland. Joseph and Travis walked us through each coffee and chocolate pairing. We tried the Ethiopian, Guatemalan, Thanksgiving Blend, and a Bourbon Barrel coffee. They were all delicious but my favorite was the Thanksgiving blend. We also received a little background on the business and a demonstration of the roasting process. Beach and staff were fantastic and really want to make an impact on the community… to bring people together over a cup of coffee. Wonderful idea and a wonderful business! #InLoveWithLoveland

Palace Coffee Company Menu with Prices 817 S Polk St #2, Amarillo

This roast is pretty good, gosh, I think I can even taste the honeycomb tasting notes. You can serve lite to medium roast all you want but don’t suggest I like coffee that tastes like an ashtray because I prefer dark roast. The coffee taste is ok but overall it is weak like a blonde roast. Ruta Maya in Austin makes great coffee. Their medium roast I don’t prefer but many people do. I get that the coffee perfectionists don’t want to burn the bean but you don’t have to argue the point. As purists, we at Palace Coffee prefer that you drink the coffee that we feel you should like best. And what you will like best is weak with hints of huckleberry.

Oby Lee Winery Menu with Prices 3000 Washington Blvd, Arlington

This is an excellent spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or even brunch. Every dish includes crepes and are plentiful. I am a huge fan of the Crepes Benedict and the Smoked Salmon Lox and Eggs. The former includes eggs in any way you prefer, Canadian bacon, hollandaise sauce, a side of salad with light dressing, and a crepe. The latter includes eggs and salad as well. The salmon in this dish is made with perfect texture and taste. Additionally, the cream used in this meal is insanely tasty, without sacrificing the flavor of the other ingredients. The sweet crepes are delicious, without being too sweet. They are a great way to end any meal. Oby Lee is also known for wine and coffee, where there’s a variety of each to choose from. When it comes to the coffee, it is fresh and brewed perfectly. You can also buy their different coffees in bags for a decent price; for example around $6 for a 16 oz of flavored coffee. The wine comes from a wine fountain where you can choose from different fill levels such as a tasting level glass, a medium glass, or a large glass of wine. Additionally, the pricing differs depending on the quality of the wine. The wine is controlled well in the fountain, so the taste is always A1. The staff members are respectful and quick to serve. The atmosphere is clean, casual, and plays great music. This is a nice place to enjoy a meal by yourself, or with friends and family.

Baskin-Robbins – Menu with Prices – 5510 5th Ave, Brooklyn

I didn’t know employees could even be this bad. Imagine coming in when there is no line and it taking them 15 minutes to make your stuff because theyre talking to their friends at the counter.

The Press Espresso – Menu with Prices – 28601 Old Town Front St Suite F, Temecula

Everything I want in a coffee shop! I came here with friends after brunch because it was within walking distance. It’s in one of the olde time-y western buildings in Old town Temecula but is modern and decorated with cute accents inside. We originally planned to grab our coffee and go but it was so cute and relaxing inside that’s we decided to stay in and enjoy our coffee. The guy taking our orders was very patient and helpful with recommendations. There is a great selection from crafted coffees with unique flavors to pour over. I ordered a nitro cold brew with coconut milk and added some simple syrup that was at the self serve station. I don’t like my coffees super sweet so I liked that I could control the sweetness. My friend ordered a Thai coconut iced espresso and it was also great! It was a little too sweet for my liking but I loved the flavor. Everyone enjoyed their coffees and the atmosphere!

Javahz Cafe Espresso – Menu with Prices – 4330 W El Prado Blvd, Tampa

A wonderful throwback to the neighborhood, Mom N’ Pop coffee shop and Breakfast hang-out of days gone by. The fact that the food is excellent (Three-meat breakfast burrito) and the coffee is delicious (I had the French Roast Blend) just adds icing on the cake. Sure, when they are packed with customers it takes a little while to get your order, but everything is fresh-made. Nothing is sitting under a heat lamp or waiting to be tossed into a microwave! The owner told me they have been in that location for over 15 years, so obviously, quality counts and they have a loyal customer base. If you’re in South Tampa and want some excellent Java, stop by Ja-Vahz for a great, mellow, time.

Ambitious Ales – Menu with Prices – 4019 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach

Really enjoyed Ambitious Ales! Not only do they have a great selection of beers, they’re reasonably priced, too! The patio is communal and great for larger gatherings. It is first-come, first-serve, so if you know you’re going to need a lot of tables, it’s advised to show up early and to bring a few people to help squat until the rest of your pals get there. It’s also dog friendly, so if you have a well behaved pooch, they’re more than welcome – in fact, the staff was great about bringing fresh water bowls throughout the afternoon! My fave of the brews was the Mango. Not only was it super refreshing on the warm day we were there, it wasn’t overly sweet, but easy to chug. Dangerous in a good way. The brewery is great about giving all the beers straightforward tasting profiles, making the menu super easy to navigate. The staff are super friendly at making suggestions and letting you taste a few before committing as well. Parking is rough since most of the street parking is limited to two hours, just make sure to watch the signs before leaving your vehicle. They don’t serve food, but you can get Pow Wow pizza next door or some German bites from Rasselbock across the street!

Romolo Chocolates – Menu with Prices – 1525 W 8th St, Erie

I love chocolate, so I visit Romolo as often as I can. Their chocolate is amazing, but what is even better? The staff there. I have always been met with a pleasant welcome and incredible service. The store is great, as well with really nice teas and some other fun finds for sale. The cafe side is my real go-to, with excellent coffees and a changing variety – I have never been disappointed. If you were wondering, “I wonder if this person also loves ice cream?” Of course I do! It’s like Romolo Chocolates was created with me in mind…most of my favorites: loose leaf tea, bold and smooth coffee, dreamy chocolate, and creamy delicious ice cream. I have had at least half of their flavors and have never had a complaint. It is fantastic. And believe me, I know my ice cream. With all this in mind, today I tried 1/2 and 1/2 cocoa and coffee. HOLD THE PHONE! Every sip ended with a “Wow.” Fantastic flavor, and so smooth and fresh tasting. You can distinctly taste both the cocoa and coffee. You must try it! I do have one complaint about this blend, however. Bigger cups. Much bigger.

MOOR Coffee Co – Menu with Prices – 4110 Youree Dr, Shreveport

Okay, I really want to like this place because I am a big local business kind of girl but……I just can’t. My husband and I went here to venture out of our normal coffee shops. We love coffee! We visited this place around 2pm on a weekday. The overall ambiance of the place is on point (modern cafe style with comfy seats and parents with little kids would love this place! There is a gymnasium right next to it!). So we decided to order 2 iced coffees black so that we could add sweetener and cream to make our coffees the way we like them. We ordered 2 large iced coffees and they were $9 and some change. That is a little outrageous! Starbucks doesn’t even charge that much for 2 venti iced coffees (it’s about $6 something). We added our half and half and sweetener and tried our drinks to make sure they were perfect before we walked out and yuck! They had a sour taste to them. They were not drinkable. So, unfortunately, we let them have the business and when we got outside threw the drinks in the trash. Now, I will tell you I am going to give them another try but I’m going to wait til winter to get an espresso drink since most of the great reviews say that the espresso is the bomb. Moral of the story……don’t get the iced coffee unless you want to waste $10.

Lucky Goat Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1307 N Monroe St #5, Tallahassee

I recently had my first taste of Tallahassee’s own Lucky Goat Coffee at dinner one night. It was so good that when we were near their Midtown location we had to stop. I had one of the best Lattes ever. They offer a wide variety of coffees including Cold Brew, Fresh Brewed, Espresso, and Cuban Style along with non coffee beverages such as Hot or Cold Tea, Chai Tea and Hot Chocolate, You can also buy it by the Gallon, Growler or in Concentrate. The staff is very helpful and friendly so if you have questions about the different types of coffee, just ask. You can also buy their different coffees by the bag. They are Fair Trade Certified and buy specialty coffees which are based on factors such as altitude, season, soil and the farmers care. They have three locations (Capital Circle NE) which is their flagship cafe and where their signature Cold Brew is made (ask for a sample), one off of Monroe St in Midtown and another in the Market District next to the Fresh Market.

Tasting Room – Menu with Prices – 901 S Chapman St, Greensboro

There are many attributes of the Tasting Room that keep me coming back…..the atmosphere is open, friendly and inviting. There is a great mix of folks who show up seemingly regularly. The wines are terrific and they change the wines they carry from time to time so you donâ??t get bored with the same 10 wines. There is a great indoor space and a terrific outdoor space too for seating.. . I have been going to the Tasting Room for many years and there are some elements that are very consistent and that is what keeps me coming back…..the wines are varied and excellent, the atmosphere is fun and relaxing and the patrons are a hoot! All of that said, what keeps me coming back are the really wonderful folks who work there……….that is what gives this place its soul. One example is Bailey. She is the kind of soul that puts you immediately at ease. She is knowledgeable about the wines and also wine types. She is great with remembering peopleâ??s names and she is quick with a smile…..but her most wonderful attribute is the way she connects with people and immediately you feel the aggravations of your day disappear. People like Bailey are the reason I choose to go to Tasting Room. Incredible service and even a better person.
