Let me start with the bar. I caught the bar tender twice dipping the glass cups in the ice bucket. In the bar world that is a huge no no, because if glass chips get in the ice it will be hard to notice it and people can leave and cause major internal organ issues. Most bars even the higher standard bars stay at a 300% mark up on mix drink. Consistency was not there. Some of my drink where 50/50 and same 20/80. If I had to count I’m guessing these guys run a 500-700% mark up. Cleanliness of the bar it’s self, I would recommend highly checking how you wash your cups with a health inspector of some kind. My last drink still had soap in the bottom of one cup but I could also taste the soft drink of a coke which I did not have at the same time…… My final issue with the bar. You need to know when to quit serving people. When your bathrooms are covered in vomit and the guys can barley stand. Harassing customers and your strippers. It was at a point it was plain out ridiculous. Especially for me who got 8 drinks barely any alcohol because of the poor count and yet there where 5 guys I absolutely remember who been over served. Now for the actual strip club it’s self. Overall I actually have no complaints. They where nice and actually chatted little at a time. [To be quite honest I was not their for the strippers a friend of mine was and I asked if they had a bar cause I was looking to take a break for the weekend before finals end of this month, but end up moving the the stripper area cause I gave up on drinks and I had someone who drank to much harassing me and few others, although the bartenders didn’t seem to mind so I’ll assume he is a regular.] they politely ask if you would like a dance and they take no quite well. I have nothing against the strip club it’s self. But the bar could use some improvement. If i had to give advice for customers it would be just get a beer. But even then it’s not really worth it cause usually in most places a beer that’s from America is $4 and imports like Heineken, corona, and ect are $5. While here a bud light itself was $5. I just can’t see the worth of going there and getting drunk. Just throwing it out there.

I have been to this private club twice, once on a pub crawl and once with a member. I don’t know how to become a member and don’t plan to find out. Because it’s a private club smoking is allowed. Hey, that’s cool for them but not for me. After I quit so many years ago now I can’t be around smoke for longer than 10 minutes. The bartender has been nice each time I have been in. The customers are more like “what the heck?”. I’m ordering a Miller Lite and Jameson and they’re drinking Bud – not Bud Light – a true non light Budweiser and no one really has shots. I have been told it’s like the old beer bars of KCK when the alcohol of choice was beer only. If you’re a smoker and looking for a bar to drink and smoke in – this is your place. If you can get a membership card.

Fattey Beer Co. – Menu with Prices – 5 Genesee St, Buffalo

As we were having brunch at Raclettes, we saw people sitting next door drinking beers outside on wooden benches and that’s when we discovered Fattey Beer Co.’s craft beer store and tasting room. We drank a four beer flight from their rotating beer taps (they have 12), a beer recommended from their vintage beer refrigerator and another beer from their cooler. According to their website, they have over 500 beers to chose from. I personally didn’t count the beers, but based on my observation it certainly seems like there are that many available. They aim to “bring a relaxed craft beer experience to the neighborhood” and with the friendliness of the staff, the fact that they welcome dogs, the free popcorn, and ability to bring in your own food… I’d say they hit the mark. The place is a real standout among the “run of the mill” drinking establishments on Chippewa and the surrounding area. A few highlights include: â??- 500+ Beers to drink in or take out â??- Vintage fridge containing $3.00 beers (I drank a Genesee Ruby Red on recommendation) – $10.00 flights all day long – Bring in your own food – A mug club with many perks With their location in Franklin Square, choice of beers you can’t get anywhere else, and their hours (open until 10pm during the weekdays and 11pm on the weeknights), they’ll attract a lot of different types of people and should be a great spot to sit and relax or just pick something up to bring home.

Chevy Chase Country Club – Menu with Prices – 3067 E Chevy Chase Dr, Glendale

What a surprise this was! A very nice little bar area, nice people working. And a truly impressive food and drink menu to boot. The house burger was very impressive and delicious, as were my boys’ BLT sandwiches. The buffalo fries were a bit meh, mostly because it was an uninspired squirt of sauce and a sprinkle of blue cheese over very mediocre fries. Some great choices on the beer tap and a nice selection of drinks over all, and our cocktail was very well made. All accompanied with the gorgeous view of the golf course. So one big strike is the smoking issue. Its a private club, so surely that’s why the golfers, and apparently just guys sitting around, can enjoy their cigars at their leisure, despite it being a restaurant, open to the public. It was annoying and we moved inside. Really too bad because it was so wonderful outside. But, again, its probably the private club aspect of the place, so not holding this against them. The prices are higher that you might like but some things were worth it. The burger was worth $18. It was. Not any more, but I’d order that again. If the buffalo fries had not come with the burger, they would have been $6, I believe. It might sound odd, but they were not even worth that. BUT… the positives do outweigh the negative. We’ll be back for sure.

Rumors Cabaret – Menu with Prices – 2306 Business Loop 70 E, Columbia

I wonder what’s preventing the owner of this place from including on his website the little fact that you can’t take alcohol into the strip club? Some ugly fat guy outside the bar pointed out for edification on Saturday night that “this side is the bar and this side is the strip club” as he waved to 2 separate entrances. The entrance to the bar had it’s door propped open making it easy to step in and take in the wonderful atmosphere of 4 brick walls and a little bity bar with but one drunk sitting at the bar. I turned around, walked back out and asked the little fat guy if you were suppose to buy your drinks in the bar and take them into the strip club and he responded in the negative. No drinks in the strip club. The wife and I were there together having just returned from L.A. and we can tell you from having been in clubs all across the country we never seen such a set-up as this mess was set to operate. We didn’t bother to go into the strip-club side, sans no drinks to enjoy ourselves with, thus depriving ourselves the opportunity of being asked to pay inside the door for admission. I don’t know if they do or not, but I wasn’t going to give them the pleasure of such a futile exercise in the event they did. But again, ownership obfuscates the issue and completely omits this information from their website. And the lot at 11 P.M. on a Saturday night wasn’t even half full. And that’s not saying much because the lot, like the bar, is a little bitty parking lot. What sealed the deal in my mind this was a low class establishment was there was a striper outside talking to friends and she was butt ugly too. Can’t imagine what waited inside but decided we’d seen enough.

Girls, Girls, Girls Gold & Silver – Menu with Prices – 3117 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke

If you are looking for a strip club in Roanoke Va there is only one choice in town. This place. It’s a weird place. it’s like three middle aged buddies got together that had never actually been to a strip club decided to start a strip club! Nothing matches. The furniture looks like they got it used from thrift shops. The lap dance couches look like they have more miles than my car. All of the male employees are at least 45 or older. There is no security. There are wall unit AC units everywhere. The place is just freaking weird. Luckily once you get used to it its not to bad. You have to pay $20 to become a member then every visit afterwards is $10. There is no booze what so ever. You can’t bring it in. you can only get soda, water and red bull, and good luck getting the lazy smuck bartender to do his job. Pro tip, stand at the bar rails to get him to actually get off his useless ass. Did I mention the creepy DJ? Old guys who yap between songs… the girls choose their songs from a computer that plays songs from Rhapsody… like I said… It’s like some guy To get lap dances you pay the bar $20, the house keeps $10 and the girl gets the other $10… then you just kiss that money good bye as you will be paying $20 for every lap dance.

Tommy’s Pub – Menu with Prices – 3124 Eastway Dr Suite 710, Charlotte

Dive Bar: A dive bar is a type of bar or pub. Dive bars generally have a relaxed and informal atmosphere — they are often referred to by local residents as “neighborhood bars,” where people in the neighborhood gather to drink and socialize. Individual bars may be considered to be disreputable, sinister, or even a detriment to the community. Tommy’s Pub may not be some people’s idea of fun, but if you are a fan of dive bars, Tommy’s is a masterpiece.  I had one friend say he liked it because he is always the youngest one there and he is early 40s.   We went in one afternoon, drank a couple of beers and listened to George Jones and Johnny Cash.   It’s so fun to walk out of a dimly lit bar and being blinded by the sun. Feeling the sun on your face with a happy little afternoon buzz.  If you go in be sure to buy your membership, it’s a private club.

The Robin Room – Menu with Prices – 821 E Johnson St, Madison

This place has great freakin cocktails! Went around the area to go bar hoping and drinking and all these bars really talked this place up. So had to come try this place before leaving back to Cali. The fact this place was so talked about…I can understand why now. Shit was dope as fuck! Hipster-classy feel to the place with clean restrooms and very talkative bar tenders. Very knowledgeable about what they serve. I didn’t know what I wanted and just threw out my drink preference and the bar tender led me to a couple of options he assumed I would prefer. He was right on the mark! Loved my tiny little tasty drink! They even had this peach slushy thing as well as beer selections. The peach slushie was very yummy and refreshing! The customers here that I interacted with were very friendly and nice. Was able to pick up several conversations without any awkward moments. They place really attracts the very good clientele, much respect! I really loved this place! If I ever get a chance to come back, I will definitely visit this place again.

The Bay Club – Menu with Prices – 1930 Bay Rd, Miami Beach

Before enjoying dinner at Lucali on a Wednesday night, decided to stop into Bay Club for a quick drink. Even though they had an abbreviated Lucali food menu, we decided to wait to eat and just grab a drink. I had a beer and shared a Hot Box cocktail with my girlfriend. Quality We were just looking for a quick drink before our meal and Bay Club played its role perfectly. They had several different specialty cocktails, a few beers, and a couple wines on the menu. Bay Club really just feels like overflow space for Lucali and makes for a place for just a single drink. The beer was standard and the Hot Box cocktail was fine. The Hot Box used mezcal, hot bitters, passion fruit, ginger, cucumber, and lime, and did have some kick, which I did appreciate. But it lacked the same inventiveness as other more sophisticated cocktail bars. Quantity Both the beer and the cocktail were fair sized, I believe the beer was poured out of a bottle so no real surprises. Value It turned out it was happy hour when we were there, which made the drink prices much more reasonable. The beer came to $5 and the cocktail was $12, both decent prices, especially when you are just trying to buy time until you are seated at Lucali. Ambiance Bay Club is a small cocktail bar located in the Sunset Harbor area of Miami Beach. It is located adjacent to Lucali and there is even a weird shared wall that connects the two. They operate together so that if you feel like food at Bay Club you can order off Lucali’s menu and the booze at Lucali comes from Bay Club. It is a good setup especially if you are looking for Lucali when it is busy and unwilling to wait. Bay Club is a relatively small space with a bar when you enter on the left and then a few tables and chairs on the right. It is dimly lit and follows an almost basement feel with exposed brick and old furniture. However, the focus seemed on the huge television that was playing From Dusk Till Dawn in its entirety. They also have a few benches outside for smokers or for nice days. Also, important is they are fine with you carrying your drink over to Lucali if you are not finished when your table is ready. In the end Bay Club is a nice waiting area. Crowd The bar was pretty empty, with just a few folks who were either unwilling to wait for a table or those who wanted a drink while they waited. It seems pretty obvious Lucali needed an option to prevent people turning away due to long waits. Service The bartender was very nice, but it seemed there were way more people than needed working on a Wednesday night. I’m not sure if they just share staff with next door, but at least three people greeted us in the few steps from the entry to the bar. Parking Just a few steps down from the bar is a parking garage that is extremely affordable. Street parking is also pretty easy in the area, but it also is about four times as expensive. Extra It is impossible to talk about Bay Club without mentioning Lucali. It really acts as the bar area for Lucali, even going so far as offering food from their menu. And while it is a comfortable space to relax and wait, it lacks creativity in its cocktails and offers a very limited beer and wine selection, which is disappointing. I really couldn’t imagine stopping in again except on a visit to Lucali, luckily Lucali is pretty delicious and draws large crowds.

The Backlot – Menu with Prices – 209 10 Ave SW, Calgary

Lemme take you to a gay bar! Lol. Im not usually the type that would go to a gay bar, but I was visiting the city, so I just figured why not! In Calgary, you have like… 2(?) clubs/bars, and from what I’ve gathered, one is a sketchier club. So I decided I would go out on a limb and check out The Backlot. The entryway was a bit sketchy as it was kind of on the side of the building and in a dark alley. The establishment was nice overall, dimly light as most bars are, with quite friendly and welcoming bartenders. Got a drink with a friend and decided to sit in the corner of the patio to chat. People came and left, but it was quiet enough in the corner to carry a conversation without being heard by everyone. They do have an upstairs area that had a performer that night, but we never actually went up to take a look. The only other odd part for me was the open washroom where the urinals were. No door to get to the area, which is quite scary knowing someone could just come up behind and … I would prefer a door that leads into a washroom. A nice quieter bar to grab a drink with a friend(s) that is gay/straight friendly, but not exactly the ‘party’ place. Felt like it was an older crowd that was in attendance and not quite the place for a young man out on the town! Maybe head to that sketchy club? Lol

Bar XIII Delaware – Menu with Prices – 1706 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington

I don’t really go to bars or drink that often but hubby kept talking about this band he wanted to see so I got tickets for us. It was a Saturday night the band was to start around 9:00 we got there around 8:30. They weren’t busy yet. The guy at the door very friendly and was talking and giving us postcards with upcoming events. I don’t drink beer, wine or drinks with soda and unfortunately there are few drinks I like. I first ask if they do frozen drinks which I kind of already figured they didn’t because most bars like this don’t but figured I try. So I always go for White Russian first bar I have been to that doesn’t serve White Russians. But I will say the bartender was so nice and patient with me making suggestions so finally got a drink with vodka and cranberry juice. I can’t remember the name of it but it was very good. I had two of them. The band was really good but they started about 45 minutes late. The room the band plays in is standing room only. If you want to sit down you have to go to the bar area. And there is a cute little lounge area in the back to hang out in. This is a nice friendly neighborhood bar. I can see why a lot of people go here. They do have a lot of events I would be interested in going to but most are on a Sunday night at 8:00 which is to late for me because Monday morning comes to early. I really want to go to the midget wrestling hope they have one on a Friday or Saturday night.
