I have frequented this Thai Express on a few occasions and I was pleasantly surprised by both the interior decor and the quality of the food. Just as I have learned not to go to a Chopped Leaf that is not the Sherwood Park location, I have learned that Thai Express South Edmonton Common is definitely a cut above the other locations here in Edmonton, Alberta. When you walk into this TE, you are greeted with clean modern styles, with a mural on the wall, a nice wood back splash, beautiful oversize floor tiles, and an overall welcoming feel. The large TV helps keep you distracted while you’re waiting in line to make your order. Food wise, the employees are skilled, and the food is prepared with good “wok hay”. I experienced this place once, and I couldn’t justify going to some of the other food court locations afterwards unless I was desperate. Expansion and quality control are always issues, but this Thai Express is keeping standards high. Of course, you do get the odd new employee who doesn’t quite have the skills quite yet, but they clearly look like they’re trying.

Thai Express – Menu with Prices – 3800 Memorial Dr, Calgary

Thai Express is a nice addition to the Marlborough Mall foodcourt. It is in the far back corner so you just might miss it if you’re not looking for it. It has the same great food as the other Thai Express locations & quick, friendly service. My favorite “deal” there is the Tom Yum mini soup with chicken & noodles. It is a respectable size for a smaller appetite or lunch & at $4.40 it’s a steal! Mini soups are not on their main menu but on the “additional items” menu on the wall by the cash register.

Panda Express – Menu with Prices – 4704 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington

This new Panda Express location is a bit out of the way for me, so they had been in business for four months before I got around to trying the restaurant. From westbound Kirkwood Highway, I made a U-turn at the next traffic light intersection to get to the restaurant parking lot. I didn’t notice until later that they have another entrance on Old Capitol Trail, so I could’ve also gone around the block. I like the portion sizes at this location. While some other Panda Express locations have gotten a bit stingy with the food, the server at this location really packed it into the entree box. Also, all the steam trays were full so I did not need to request any entree items. That may vary depending on when you order but still, it’s refreshing to see that when my experience at other Panda Express locations is I often have to wait for the items that I want because they don’t keep up with demand.

Thai Express – Menu with Prices – Deep Sea Adventure, 8882 170 St North W West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton

In the food court and not sure what I wanted to decided on Thai Express for the Pad Sew. I have had it a few times from Thai Express and it can be greasy and not much protein but it was what I craved when left with food court choices. I ordered my food to go and was waiting for it. The customer in front of me ordered and the gave it to her on a plate but she wanted it to go. I saw them put it into a box and then the staff rinses the plate with water to reuse. Ewww, they can’t afford to throw out a ten cent plate even though they charge more than $10 a meal? What if the next person had an allergy to what was on the plate previously? They gave me my meal in a larger container and not their usual take out box. The food tasted ok when I was eating it but in the middle of the night I woke up sick. Will definitely stay away from Thai Express in the future.

Mucha Lucha Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 1530 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert

Is there new owners or something? My last experience here was just excellent, but man this time was completely different. I guess me and my brother were bugging them ordering our food. The man working couldnt have been more condescending and the women couldnt wait to get to the back. I didn’t even order any food for myself or my son because my wifes order irritated them enough so I said screw it. My brothers wet burrito came out dry and he couldnt really saying about it because they rushed off as soon he paid. Two people were in there when we showed up so it was definitely not busy. Idk what their problems were but it was more then enough for me and my brother to never ever eat at this restaurant again. Also to the women worker, when you roll your eyes try looking away so the customer cant constantly see you doing. Just fyi for the next guy…

Tapioca Express – Menu with Prices – 1480 Eastlake Pkwy Ste.903, Chula Vista

3 stars because I have high expectations from tapioca express. I love my thai tea with boba. I had a craving for a cup last night but the usual tapioca express I go to was closed. So with the help of Google I found this one. Filled with relief and joy I gladly drove the 16 minutes to this restaurant. I ordered my usual drink. Except this drink did not taste like the drink I desired. It tasted like heavy cream or condensation milk. I couldn’t taste the black tea.I understand the aspects of milk tea but it was to much milk…. To top it off the boba was hard and unfresh as if they were left out to dry and the effort to salvage them was useless. Overall the customer service was great the atmosphere was nice too. I just wont visit this place again at 10pm. Lesson learned

Panda Express – Menu with Prices – 1240 W Campbell Rd, Richardson

Love Panda Express. Just not this location. It used to be a fried chicken place that went out of business. The decor and the seating is really nice but that means nothing if the food isn’t good. The restaurant barely had any people in it and a large number of items had very little in the bowls and you had to wait for them to cook more. Also the line service leaves a lot to be desired. They served my wife and I had to wait and wait for someone to come and take care of my order. They aren’t really organized well for line work. Kind of like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. There is scant communication between the line workers so if someone walks away to do something else no one else on the line seems to know where to pick up the service. As for the food, portion size does not compare to other Panda Express locations. They skimp on the serving size. It doesn’t taste like the food at other Panda Express locations either. Tastes saltier, less flavorful. Even the food on display doesn’t appear that appetizing. Some of it looks dried out as if sitting there too long. The egg rolls appeared overcooked, very dark and unappetizing. They push their charity at the register so be prepared for that. We won’t be returning to this location. We’ll continue to frequent the location near Beltline and Plano Road in Richardson where every aspect of service and the food gets a 5 star rating from us. Granted the seating and decor at the new Campbell location are better but thats not why we go in the first place. We go for the food, why else? Oh and one other thing. I really hate the TV screens that show nothing more than promotions of the chain. We’re already there. Already buying your products. Why promote what we are already doing? Get some real channels on there that people can actually enjoy.

Thai Bistro – Menu with Prices – 4325 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh

I love Thai Food and have been to many Thai Resturants, including two stays in Thailand. I was looking for a quick place to grab a bite and noticed the Thai Bistro. While located in a shopping mall I had great hopes that I would find a gem in the food court. The store front is very appealing. The workers are very friendly. The samples of the chicken flow across the counter. The chicken over all tastes good, but not really Thai. Adding some cilantro, lemon grass, fish sauce and some Thai chilies to the mix would certainly improve upon the authenticity. The Singapore Noodles and lo mein are bland. Over all it is not that different than the Mandarin Express four spaces to the left. Bring in some of the real Thai flavors and the place might be a hit. As it stands the place sells some good stir-fried chicken, but more fast food Chinese than Thai.

Mariscos El Rey Menu with Prices 820 Dayton St, Aurora

Had been meaning to try one of their locations, finally got a chance being in the area, i had high expectations and they were nearly met. Firts off ordered fish tacos and even though i prefer spicier was nothing tapatio couldnt fix. Think the prices are reasonable and portions plentiful. I also ordered a campechana seca wich is a seafood melody. First the downsides: had to figure and put plenty of sauces and salt and peeper to my liking. At first the sauce seemed lime it didnt have much flavor and would be best if it was. Ot as runny so it stays on the food. I didnt get to really taste it until i was done with the seafood and it was not bad. However knowing you must fix it to your liking a phuge plus was the freshness of the seafood, it seemed it was prepared to order not premade, defi ately fresher than other places ive tried. Would suggest you give it a try. Not a huge or fancy but a nice mellow atmostphere. Think they can improve but doing good.

Maine Lobster Direct – Menu with Prices – 48 Union Wharf, Portland

So I would like to thank everyone who helped get our order to us. We ordered two 2.5 lobsters to be sent from Portland Maine to Portland Oregon. We placed this order to be shipped to our home the Friday before Christmas and due to circumstances beyond this organizations control, the order arrived a day late and we were unable to enjoy our meal as expected. When I called to report this issue, the woman who helped me was so empathetic and understanding to our situation. We rescheduled the delivery and we chose to wait a couple weeks after the holiday to ensure no shipping issues arose again. I cannot express the professional and personal service that was given to us especially when we had to call with concerns about our order. Calling to complain or express dissatisfaction is always uncomfortable but everyone I interacted with was very helpful and professional. The customer service I received shapes my opinion of this company and I look forward to ordering from them again. Speaking to the quality of the Lobsters: they were packed really well and obviously handled with care. The company sends along a cook book with many recipes to help the novice lobster cook navigate cooking a lobster for the first time, and I’m sure this information also provides the experienced cook alternative cooking options. The lobsters turned out wonderful and I appreciated the additional information they sent with our order. The price was very fair, for the quality of lobster they send. In conclusion, I will absolutely purchase lobsters from this company again!! Thank you to everyone who helped get our order to us!

Thai Express – Menu with Prices – 7001 Mumford Rd, Halifax

Decided to try Thai Express for lunch, I arrived about 2 PM. As I looked over the menu options, after a minute or two I decided I wasn’t too interested in a combo with white rice. On the other hand, I would have enjoyed some egg noodles. At the last minute before I ordered, I glanced over the cashier’s head on the wall to the left and spotted a sign for Chili Chili Bangkok, which comes with egg noodles. Aha, I decided to take a chance and order something new. Turned out that it is their new Special. The cashier said I was the first person to order it! She answered all my questions and I placed my order. The stir fry ingredients included broccoli, red pepper, baby corn, scrambled egg and loads of flat egg noodles, served in a tasty sauce. I selected tofu for my dish and it came to $7.08, including a free 16 ounce beverage of my choice (lemonade) which was an added bonus. The food was prepared and served up to me piping hot, but not spicy as in ‘your mouth is on fire’ hot. I then dressed it up with a wedge of lime, some squirts of fish sauce and hoisin sauce and a handful of chopped peanuts and it was good to go. It came in a large transparent plastic bowl, just like the one they serve their soup in. You get a ton of food, enough for two I thought! I was more than satisfied with this tasty, hot, plentiful meal. In fact, I had an Asian meal at a sit down restaurant earlier this month which wasn’t half as flavourful, nor half as large, nor as hot, and it cost twice as much. So remember the name Chili Chili Bangkok the next time you want a great meal at Thai Express! Learn more at http://www.thaiexpress.ca/

Helen’s Hot Chicken – Menu with Prices – 886 Kraft St, Clarksville

This is what the “hot” (level 3 out of 4 on heat) looks like from the Clarksville location. The heat level is not even similar to the same order at the Nashville location I used to frequent. This may as well have been off the kids menu at KFC. These are very expensive strips, and should be consistent through their locations. One way or another, we always end up with a bill higher than we expect when ordering. It’s uncanny. I’ve given this location several chances since moving to Clarksville. I’d rather drive all the way to Hattie B’s on Charlotte Ave in Nashville, where the chicken is prepared exactly the same as the downtown location. Not sure if this location is a franchise, but the operators definitely haven’t eaten at any of the Nashville locations or they would know it’s not being prepared correctly. Three drops of the oil sauce, with no heat or flavor isn’t Nashville hot chicken.

Nunu’s Desserts with Soul Menu with Prices 1937 Ashby Ave, Berkeley

First, I have to say I this is the best customer service I have ever experienced!! The Carmel cake is delicious!!! Perfectly balanced! Not too sweet. I couldnt believe the 7-up cake is sugar-free. Very light and fluffy! Love, love, love the cakes and the service. If you are reading this review you must check it out and see for yourself! You won’t be disappointed! I highly recommend this bakery and will definately be back!
