Crystal was just great. I wanted 20 lbs. of my favorite coffee Cafeto Italian Roast, to take south with us. I have been buying it from Cash & Carry in 5 lb. bags. When I called Cafeto directly to see if I could get it on such short notice, Crystal expedited the process and worked with Mike at Cash & Carry to deliver on a day that was not their normal delivery day. I placed the order on Thursday, the beans were roasted on Friday and as promised, was ready for pick up on Monday…Today is Tuesday, and we are on the road with enough fresh roasted coffee to last the winter. Yum! Thanks to Crystal, for going the extra mile. Two happy coffee drinkers!

Day Break Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 1403 Avenue F, Lubbock

This is NOT a coffeehouse. They do not serve any mochas, or frappachinos, or caffe americanos… but what they DO provide are some of the best roasted beans in Texas (and they will ship them to you)!! Set in an industrial warehouse area near downtown Lubbock (right off I-27 heading south), it’s not hard to find, and you can park in the street. Your best bet is to go to www.dbcr.com and order your beans; if you’re in Lubbock, you can pick them up a couple of hours after you make your selection. If you roast your own beans, Day Break offers green beans as well; I picked up a pound of Guatemalan beans the other day, and roasted a few as soon as I got home. The brewed coffee that resulted was incredible! Any questions? Just contact Kayla Hernandez at 806/687-6887.

Magic Beans Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 501 W 6th St, Lexington

I have Magic Beans shipped to me regularly in Alexandria, VA. I used to get beans from a couple of places in my area that also sell fresh-roasted, single-origin beans – and which I thought were pretty great – until I tried Magic Beans. Now I don’t want to drink any other coffee ever. Magic Beans isn’t just better than cheap diner coffee and corporate mega-chain coffee. Its better than anything you’ve ever had anywhere. Its worth mail-ordering, and actually even with shipping its cheaper than some places I’ve bought from in person. I promise you, no matter how great you think your current favorite coffee place is, until you’ve had Magic Beans, you don’t even really know what coffee is supposed to taste like. And yes, I’m also talking to those of you who already buy fancy, single-origin, coffee from hipster places that only do pour-overs, etc. Dump out the coffee you’re drinking right now and go order some Magic Beans.

Black Pearl Coffee – Beans – Menu with Prices – 460 Dufferin Ave, Winnipeg

This is one of the great reasons to live in Winnipeg, fresh roasted coffee, right here, in town. I wish I had discovered this place much earlier as my coffee has improved with fresh roasted coffee beans. In addition to the flavour, I really noticed the difference when grinding, I use a hand grinder and it’s so smooth now. The staff are friendly and helpful and overall my visits were very pleasant. Did I say fresh roasted coffee, right here, in Winnipeg. A truly international experience, locally right now. Enjoy it…and the coffee.

PJ’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1501 Kings Hwy, Shreveport

I love iced lattes and they got the best iced latte I ever had! But sadly I was charged two different prices for my iced latte. Thursday I was charged $7.52 and Friday I was charged $8. The size of my coffee was the same on both days so I donâ??t understand why the prices went up within a day. I didnâ??t notice it until I found my receipt from Thursday on Friday. And the lady who took my order didnâ??t even seem to care and I had to ask someone else to give me my receipt because the cashier didnâ??t. The cashier Thursday (I forgot his name) was sweet and very knowledgeable. Made me come back. But if it means the price is going to be different every time I come in I donâ??t think I would come back.

Tacos & Tequila Cantina – Menu with Prices – 10952 Eagle Village Dr Suite 425D, Fort Myers

Went there on a Wednesday night. It was surprisingly busy but we got sat right away for a table of 4. Crystal, our server, immediately welcomed me as I waited for the rest of my party. Got my drink and chips and salsa right away. It became very busy and Crystal ended up with a large table near us. It didn’t phase her she took our order, refilled our drinks, got extra salsa and the food was delivered very fast. She checked on us multiple times to make sure our food was good. Everyone ordered burritos and I had mix and match tacos. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We had birthdays and Crystal made it special. We would come back because the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great but Crystal was outstanding. I would go back definitely because of her service. Hard to find a Mexican restaurant that is not fast food and a good fun atmosphere. Food was large portions as well.

Sootha Coffee – Menu with Prices – 4840 Irvine Blvd #111, Irvine

I ordered a pour-over coffee using beans from Ethiopia and Yu prepared a very fine cup for me. The fruity notes and caramel came through beautifully vibrant (indicating a masterfully roasted bean which was also brewed correctly). Yu intends to always carry beans from the four major coffee growing regions, namely East Africa, Indonesia, Central America and South America. All of the beans he sources are organic and responsibly farmed and traded. I realize the bulk of his patrons are likely not looking for master-craft coffee but are rather interested in tasty lattes with cool art, ambience, study space, and chatting, etc. Nonetheless, for coffee aficionados, I am confident that with Yu acting as your barista, you will be pleasantly surprised by your cup of coffee as its juxtaposed with what is seemingly a cafe catering to what would otherwise be Strbks patrons. What’s more, you don’t have to deal with the pretentiousness of the Portland-style, cafe racer, hipster nonsense that is so popular with trendy, overpriced coffee houses cropping up all over the world. I say all of this as a disgruntled native of Seattle. Keep fighting the good fight, Yu!

Cafeto Colombian Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1101 S Norton Ave, Sioux Falls

We’ve been drinking Cafeto Coffee for over a year now. It is excellent. Their Christmas blend is particularly special and makes a great gift. I can’t say enough about Samantha and Jeshua. Super nice people!

Muldoon’s Hand Roasted Office Coffee – Menu with Prices – 5680 Timberlea Blvd, Mississauga

Note: There is NO TAX for your purchase of consumable goods here, e.g. coffee, tea. Hidden gem! I’ve been meaning to check out Mississauga’s coffee roasting scene, so after running out of beans, today was the day! I had a list of 3 places on my list that were coincidentally all in the 403/Tomken Rd. area. On the side of the building, Muldoon’s has a side entrance into their outlet store. They sell coffee machines, filters, Keurig pods, boxes of tea, & of course, coffee beans. At the back of their store, there is an automatic coffee maker and you are able to taste test the various flavours/roasts before you commit to a bag of beans! Ashley was very helpful and I tasted 3 different coffees before I decided what beans that I wanted. Since it’s primarily me who drinks coffee at home, I didn’t want a full lbs, so I got just under 11oz for $5! To give you an idea, the last bag of beans that I purchased was around the same size for $10USD. So you save more than 50% and there’s NO TAX. They also have a loyalty programme where you get a stamp for every $20 you spend and get a free bag of beans on your 6th visit. After this experience, I don’t think I’ll ever buy coffee beans at retail prices! Bonus: None of the beans have been roasted more than a week ago! Another Bonus?: Their coffee cups are biodegradable. And they are trying to phase out the K cups because they’re not environmental.

Star’s Cafe Menu with Prices 2575 Jackson Ave, Ann Arbor

Poorly run family business often understaffed and overly busy need to hire more help! they always say 15-20 minutes for carry out and it ends up being half and hour and it’s still not ready when you get it. Owners regularly violate servsafe by contaminating cashier duties with food prep duties. There are tons of way better middle eastern restaurants that are open past 7 and don’t serve overpriced coffees and smoothies and actually are efficient with basic pita orders etc. Waited today for 45 mins for a pick up order they are understaffed not coming back again ever promised 10-15 minute wait for a simple sandwich and soup. Severely understaffed and poorly run family business hire some staff and help! Don’t keep it all under the books and table!!

Norfolk Coffee & Tea Co – Menu with Prices – 212 E 18th St, Norfolk

The minute you step in the door, if you’re a coffee aficionado, you’ll feel warm fuzzies. The smell of freshly roasted coffee is heavenly, so evidently my fellow coffee comrades, there is a heaven – and it’s in Norfolk Coffee & Tea. Don’t be confused, this is not a coffee shop, but you can buy your own beans/grounds & tea and take it home with you. If you don’t notice all the photos of the owner/s with famous people, newspaper clippings and other framed items when you step in through the front door – you’re not spending long enough in here. Have you spotted the signed photo of President Obama? There’s a cool story behind that one… Freshly roasted beans, at fair prices, served with smiles and friendly customer service – if you’re not sure of what you’re after, they’re beyond friendly in here, are full of suggestions and have the knowledge to help – trust them! The macadamia nut coffee roast; ultimate favorite. Don’t go finishing it all now that you know how smooth it is, leave some for me!!

Veterans Café at the Post – Menu with Prices – 1136 E Atlantic St, Springfield

And Thursday is pork tenderloin or chicken fried steak. All meals come with coffee and water. Great food great prices. Specials are 5.00 plus tax. Canâ??t beat it. ð??ð?¼

The Roastere at Treasure Valley Coffee Menu with Prices 11875 W President Dr, Boise

What a magical place! Wall to wall coffee, conversations, smells, sounds, energy! And I am not kidding when I say wall-to-wall coffee. A coffee drinkers dream! I have been here a few times but no time is more magical than a Saturday! I had to wait in line for a bit but it went fast. Breakfast sandwiches, bagels, lattés… all being ordered. The amount of coffee selections can be overwhelming so I always ask at the front, this is what I am looking for, which do you suggest? The most recent one I am going to stick with for a few is the Hawaiian blend, oh my monkey, it is amazing!! A little cream, a pump of organic honey and my Saturday was already compete, and so early too! (Self service cream and sugar bar). If you like to try coffee, this place is awesome to sit down with a friend and try as many coffees as you want before you buy. In a hurry? Have a dollar and some change ready to leave in the “In a hurry” container located on top of the what seems like 30 coffee blends lining the que (line). Are you tired of paying way too much money for coffee at a non-local place? Come here! The biggest coffee is $1.50! Want to take some home? Looks like 14oz bags of coffee are $9+ (I think $9.99). This is a great place to have meetings, do your homework, hangout. There are large relaxing and meeting areas not only in the bustling area but also a whole separate room. Plenty of parking, stamp club (buy five get one), they have coffee happy hours, and after 4:30 pm, coffee is free because they close at 5 ( I know this about weekdays not sure about weekends. Call to double check happy hour prices.) Great Idaho gifts to be found here. Want a smile for free, come here you will leave happy!
