After a weekend of cold weather camping, we were headed home in the late afternoon and both my husband and I were craving teriyaki. We’d tried a lot of teriyaki in the area that was mediocre, so when I saw Go! Go! on the search results, we decided to order ahead. It’s important to note that this restaurant has been renamed and under new ownership and has much better reviews that the old one! My husband ordered his favorite, chicken katsu, and I ordered the beef & chicken teriyaki combo. When we arrived, there were a few patrons in the restaurant. The person working the front (I think may have been the owner) was very efficient and friendly while handling the phone and walk in customers. I noticed how lovely & simple the interior decor was. Very inviting. When it was our turn in line the owner warmly greeted us. I really appreciated the fact that he took the time to ask where we heard of Go! Go! And thanking us for choosing them. (I’m one of those people that really prefers to go to stores and cafes where the owners genuinely appreciate the business and make the experience great.) The food had just been made and smelled delicious – but we were taking it home to eat. The katsu was so perfectly crispy with an out of this world katsu sauce. My husband said it it was better than his favorite katsu he’d had elsewhere – and trust me, that’s a high compliment because my husband is *very* hard to please. My chicken/beef teriyaki combo was bomb; the beef was thin and tender, having been tossed in a heavenly teriyaki sauce that was perfectly seasoned and not too sweet. The chicken teriyaki was very tender and juicy, and being thigh meat something I don’t typically enjoy, I was pleasantly surprised. They loaded up the dish with lots of sticky white rice. In addition, a crisp, fresh side salad with a sweet, creamy dressing was included, as well as a free can of pop. The dinner was a little pricier than average (than other places we’ve eaten for teriyaki), but you get what you pay for here in addition to great, friendly service. We will definitely be back!

Fast pho teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 5604 Portland Ave E, Tacoma

Fast Pho Teriyaki is on my way home, so I made the stop for dinner. I had the chicken katsu and my wife got the beef yakisoba. When I saw the sign for the shop I didn’t really know what to expect… but I was a bit surprised at how clean in the interior was. The owner is very nice and easy to talk to. The food came out fast. I took it to-go, which was a few minute drive from the restaurant. When I opened the katsu, I could tell right away that it was very dry. Tasting it validated my assumption. It was so dry that even with the dipping sauce it was hard to eat. The yakisoba was pretty good. It was actually tasty, but it was definitely on the saltier side. I would never order the katsu again, but I did give them another shot and got the chicken teriyaki. It was also pretty good… it’s hard to mess up chicken teriyaki though. I’d recommend this place to anyone that passes this place on the way home, and wants a quick dinner option. I wouldn’t come here with my family for a sit down meal.

MJS Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1953 E 4th St, Ontario

This place I found on Yelp while staying at a nearby hotel. It is a little shopping center near Popeyes and Stayer Bros. It’s towards the end of the shopping center and a little hard to spot from the street. We walked into this place and it is a small location. The music playing was low and very soothing. The menu has a variety of different food to choose but we chose to go with the three item combo. Now most three item combos come with small portions but this spot serves you big portions. I got the teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, fried shrimp, spam and steamed rice. The combo comes with a side salad as well and the dressing on it was delicious. The food…OMG so damn delicious!! The teriyaki sauce they use was not too sweet which was perfect because sometimes the sauce can tend to be too sweet. The katsu breading perfect! The shrimp…yummy!! Normally places give you one shrimp, maybe two but this place gave five big shrimp!!! May favorite which is always my favorite is spam so I had to get a side of that with the steamed rice. The other plate we got was the same except pork katsu and teriyaki chicken…bomb. The fried rice was very fluffy. What sold me on this place was the hospitality and the customer service!! They are VERY nice and treated us very well. The lady also made us a complimentary Mango peach iced tea and it was delicious! So refreshing in this heat. PLEASE, PLEASE VISIT THIS PLACE if you have the chance!! You won’t be disappointed.

L & D Teriyaki Express – Menu with Prices – 1366 3rd Ave, Chula Vista

I was told I needed to try this place so we finally did. We ordered 3 meals and a side of egg rolls. The food is definitely good quality but the taste wasn’t that spot on. The bbq chicken was very good. Grilled perfectly juicy and roasted The bbq beef was more like thin carne asada grilled. A little over cooked for my taste The egg rolls and sweet & sour were good. The katsu was the most disappointing of all. The chicken was cooked more like chicken parm style not very crunchy like L&L. The macaroni was good but misssing something just that extra tang or sweetness that makes it taste great. The katsu sauce was very good as well as the teriyaki sauce. Over all this place is a ma&pa definitely worth checking out but for my taste the quality was there but the taste.

Youskyme Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 221 NE 104th Ave, Vancouver

Our friend was in town, and we all decided to get together. We wanted the closest one to work, so we went to Youskyme. It’s a small clean restaurant at the corner of the building off of Mill Plain and 104th. We all ordered lunch special menu like Chicken Teriyaki w/ Gyoza, Spicy Chicken w/Gyoza, and Chicken & Beef Combo. I was hoping for a tender chicken. But I was a little disapponited. The flavor is bland. It is more on the sweet side. I’d love a balance taste of sweet and salty. The Gyoza was fried perfectly, but not flavorful at all. The beef was cooked just right. I didn’t enjoy the food much. The owners are friendly though.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 8480 N Friant Rd Suite 104, Fresno

My husband and I tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was late afternoon on a Sunday. We were the only people for a good 10minutes then a good dozen more people came rolling through. The girls at the register were pretty cordial. I was thankful it was pretty empty because the seating seems like it would have been pretty tight if it were more busy. The place itself was clean. The atmosphere/the vibe didn’t really feel like I was stepping into Hawaii. It just felt like a typical fast food joint but that’s completely okay. I love the location, everything is new and updated. There’s also tons of other fast food restaurants to try. It’s almost directly across from Woodward park and just down the street from river park. I ordered a plate with 2 entrees, fire chicken and chicken katsu which came with salad and rice. The food took some time to be ready but it was great because it tasted fresh. The portions of rice and salad were huge. The portion of fire chicken was pretty generous. The portion of chicken katsu seemed slightly small. I definitely wasn’t able to eat all the rice or salad. The food was delicious. The chicken Katsu was great, nice and crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I enjoyed it dipped in the Katsu sauce. The fire chicken was good but it was pretty spicy and I had to dip it in teriyaki sauce to really get some good flavor going in my mouth. The rice was soft and tender. The salad with the dressing was nice and flavorful. Crisp and crunchy and sweet and tangy. Overall I enjoyed my meal, if I return I will try something else in place of the fire chicken but I will order chicken katsu again. My husband ordered the Hawaiian bbq mix plate. He loved it, he poured teriyaki and Katsu sauce all over it and thoroughly enjoyed his meal. It’s definitley a meat lovers plate. We were satisfied with our experience here. Looking forward to trying some different food items next time.

Hilltop Teriyaki & Pho – Menu with Prices – 1000 Town Center NE, Tacoma

My husband and I tried Hilltop in NE Tacoma tonight, and were blown away! The quality, value and service is truly far and above any competitors in the area. They have a decent sized pan Asian menu, and I’ll be honest, I’m sometimes leery of these menus. But I’ll tell you what, we had Japanese and Chinese and they were both fantastic! The spicy chicken teriyaki was REAL spicy chicken – not chicken teriyaki with red chili sauce, but spicy teriyaki sauce loaded with onions and scallions. The chicken was so tender it melted in my mouth. My husband got generals chicken, and it may have been the best texture/flavor combo ever. A light tempura batter and not greasy at all. The sauce could pack more heat, but fantastic flavor! We decided to “bento” our meal, and let me tell you, these weren’t skimpy bento portions. It came with three delicately crispy gyoza’s, 4 CA rolls and salad. The salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. The sushi was so fresh with real crab. The service was attentive, friendly but not overwhelming. Overall, we thought this was a tremendous value, exceeding our quality expectations. Truly a gem in NE Tacoma/Browns Point!

Big Island Hawaiian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 2919 S Market St #100, Gilbert

I used to love coming here with my family and friends, the portions were an amazing size and the price wasn’t bad at all. Until I came here on 8/2/19 for dinner, I had ordered the chicken bbq combo and my girlfriend ordered a katsu bbq combo, it was a Friday night so it was busy which I didn’t mind because places get busy and I was willing to wait for food. Once we sat down and got our food my girlfriends Katsu chicken was RAW. I tried to go up there and ask for another katsu and it would be totally fine but the people at the cash register said it was perfectly fine to eat, when it clearly was not. I then told my girlfriend that they wouldn’t take it back so she went up there and had to literally beg for another katsu, she even offered to pay for another one, after going back and forth with the cashiers they said they could bring us out another one. When they did I kid u tf not they brought us a chicken that was more raw than the first one we had…. I hate to write this review and sound like a white mom Karen but I’d also hate to get food poisoning more…

Yamasaki Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 9 Dixwell Ave, New Haven

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Yamasaki Teriyaki as an option on Snackpass. I think we just found our new favorite quick, delicious, and cheap Asian-fusion place in New Haven! The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, and the servers and chefs are all so friendly. We ordered the Chicken Bento (with comes with chicken teriyaki over a bed of rice, a side salad with citrus Asian dressing, 3 pieces of gyoza, and 3 California roll sushis) and the Chicken Teriyaki Plus (with comes with chicken teriyaki, a choice of lo mein/fried rice/regular rice) a side salad with citrus Asian dressing, and your choice of hot & sour soup or miso. First of all, the portions are MASSIVE. For under eight dollars, you can get dish that could probably last you 2 meals. Second, the chicken teriyaki is of high quality, and the meat is tender and flavorful. The chicken strips are quite meaty, and they are all well seasoned with teriyaki sauce. The rice under the chicken teriyaki is incredibly soft and pillowy, kind of gummy, which is my favorite kind of rice! We ordered the chicken bento with vegetable lo mein, which was so savory and substantial. The gyoza in the chicken bento box could have been a little more flavorful, but the outside wonton skin was crispy! California roll was standard, and a nice touch. Finally, I have to mention that the dressing on the side salad is one of my new favorites – so tangy and creamy. In addition, I didn’t expect the salad leaves to be so fresh, which was definitely a nice surprise. I will definitely be coming back again!

Teriyaki Bowl – Menu with Prices – 4207 Gilman Ave W, Seattle

October 2017 My husband & I just recently began going to this place. So far we’ve been twice, & it’s been excellent both times! The chicken teriyaki is delicious, portions of both meat & rice were generous, & like so many other reviewers, we really enjoyed the salad as well. While it’s just iceberg lettuce, the dressing is yummy (on the lettuce as well as the rice), & it’s refreshing along with the entree. My husband LOVES their Ton Katsu! According to him, it’s the best he’s found in Seattle. We also tried the combo chicken & pork teriyaki, which is a VERY big portion (which is good as it’s more expensive) – basically it’s the regular chicken entree with a half portion of pork added in. They are super fast, too! We’ll be going here for some time to come!! – See my pics of the menu for current prices.

Teriyaki Express – Menu with Prices – 2433 E Orangethorpe Ave, Fullerton

Let me start by saying I absolutely without a doubt love some good teriyaki beef or chicken over a bed of white rice. Honestly? I could eat it for 5 days a week. Which I have. And I have committed myself to finding the best bang for my buck out there. Now I had been looking for a place for a while when one of my co-workers told me of a place that was seriously right around the corner from our office. Well of course I had to try it out because well it was right around the corner from our office. It was located on a strip mall next to a massage parlor, the tattoo shop, and a turntable repair service. No I’m not going to make a judgment call about the neighbors, I will say this that is worth cruising around the parking lot to find a parking spot to get the goodness that lays Within. The place is pretty straightforward, you can order a bowl or plate, a couple sushi rolls, and a plethora of other items. But the real star of the show is the combo beef and chicken plate. I have to tell you, for $9.17 you get a ton of food. And I’m not even talking about the Casual solid that is thrown and they’re off to the side. There is so much rice in teriyaki beef and chicken, that you’ll be filled up and just wonder why they put the salad in there in the first place. I have to say this, I think the chicken is exemplary. It is cooked perfectly, has enough charger, and just tastes amazing. The beef at times can be a little chewy, but honestly? I really don’t care, because it’s so amazing. Not take my advice, you’re going to want to add extra teriyaki sauce to it. They are a little bit skimpy on what they put in the box, but they’ll give you one of those red ketchup condiment servers to squirt teriyaki sauce until the cows come home. I’m not kidding, they look at me like I’m robbing their life savings by how much teriyaki sauce I put it on my food. I honestly wish I had taken pictures of my food to post, but I’m sure other people have posted pictures worth seeing, my problem is, I actually ate the food and then remembered I should have taken a picture. It’s really that good.

Yoshi Express – Menu with Prices – 350 N Eastern Blvd #200, Fayetteville

Did lunch here and got the Teriyaki Chicken and a couple of spring rolls. First time visit so I went all out and got an entrée size portion. The chicken was tender and the veggies were cooked just right with a sweet & savory teriyaki sauce on a nice pile of fried rice. The white sauce reminds me of a shrimp sauce, but it was sweeter. Tasty and fast. The folks working here were smiling and friendly. Its a very simple set-up with no frills. Worth a try if you are in the area.

Chicken Teriyaki Menu with Prices 2225 S Peoria St, Aurora

I moved from Seattle last year where there is a teriyaki joint on every corner. But here in Colorado there is a severe lack of true teriyaki places. I have been searching for MONTHS to find an actual teriyaki place that isn’t Asian Fusion or part of a sushi restaurant. At long last I think I have finally found it. And what’s better, the food is amazing! After craving it we finally decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed! I ordered the number 3 dinner teriyaki beef and my boyfriend had the number 1 combo chicken and beef teriyaki. We ordered to-go. The food was ready really quickly (about 10 mins) but it took me almost 15 to get there. The inside of the place is small but has a few tables to sit and eat. The portions of food are perfect and there is a great balance of rice, meat and vegetables. The beef was cooked really nicely with a great flavor and also had sauteed onions. The rice was perfect and mixed well with the beef. And I appreciate that it comes with stir fried vegetables instead of a small side salad. Overall it was fantastic and I will be back very soon!
