This place has been a staple in my family for years. and as long as they remain open, I will continue to be a customer. All I ever really get here is the baked goods and they are ridiculously good. I usually end up with too many cannollis in my fridge… if that’s even a thing. Today I ended up with a dozen rum balls and a dozen coconut cookies. I haven’t bit into anything yet but I know it’s going to be beyond amazing. The staff are always friendly and helpful and they’re prices are quite good, especially on the baked goods. I was also super impressed to see that they had Wydnowski’s perogies in stock. Even though I had JUST been at Wydnowski’s a block away and they were completely sold out.

Savory Bake House – Menu with Prices – 3008 36th Ave S, Minneapolis

Come here for unique, flavorful baked goods. I usually stop in on Sunday mornings when I am in the area and whenever I go I find something new and completely unique to this bakery. Everything I have tried has been great, but I especially love all of their savory baked goods. However do not make the mistake of coming here late in the day. I have arrived to find most of the goods picked over and I once even found the shop closed because they were all sold out! Also, do not expect to come here, sit down with a cup of coffee and your baked goods while watching the world go by. There is nowhere to sit in the tiny shop so you’ll have to take your baked goods elsewhere! Definitely put this small bakeshop on your bucket list!

Martino’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 335 N Victory Blvd, Burbank

If you’re ever at the car wash in this area, or you just feel like picking up some sweets- this place is great. It’s a lower price point than some more hip places, and you’ll get what you pay for. However, the baked goods here are not to be laughed at during this time where all the small shops are turning into hip coffee places. The tea cakes here are so popular that they have them prepared already by the half dozen behind the counter. I really recommend them. I’ve also had the apple covered cinnamon rolls, and on their own they are good but heated up they are amazing. I’m not sure about the other baked goods- I tend to opt for less “packed with sugar/covered in frosting” type sweets, which I feel like this place has more of. So if that’s your thing definitely check it out (and if not try the two I suggested)! There’s a parking lot which makes picking up some baked goods easy, and the staff is always really friendly (there’s also almost always water to the far side of the counter). This store has been in Burbank for awhile, and I hope it continues to stay for a long time!

Fusion Lounge – Menu with Prices – 6915 Dixie Rd #4, Mississauga

My boyfriend & I have been regulars at fusion for quite sometime now, the staff is amazing. The service is even better. Ive been to the other sisha lounge in brampton just to see the difference and fusion was by far a better option, heck we left after 30 minutes & went to fusion instead. I was there about 2 weeks ago now & when we went to get up and pay I literally fainted and fell to the ground. The staff was awesome, the owner sat with me ans explained that it was ok and its happened before because of course I was embrassed. As soon as I woke up theyre was a pop in my face and the owner did not let us leave until he felt like I would be okay and I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the owner and the staff at fusion lounge for theyre outstanding service everytime. This is always my go to spot to hang out with friends. 10/10 recommended

Gastronome European Grocery and Deli – Menu with Prices – 2707 NE 114th Ave, Vancouver

Great find! If you are looking for some European foodstuffs, this is a good place to check out. Not a huge store but I’d say medium-sized, well organized and clean. The lady working there was so very friendly and helpful to the customers coming through. They had a good variety of both canned & dry goods, snacks, candy, teas/beverages along with a small refrigerated section with some cold/dairy items. They also have a deli counter with meats/sausages sold by the pound and freshly baked breads, beautiful cakes and some other fresh baked food items (I didn’t see a sign on them behind the counter but there appeared to be some kind of piroshki which is a dough stuffed with a variety of fillings). The prices were comparable to other European markets in the area. There also seems to be a little coffee shop at the rear of the store but I’m not sure if the cashier for the market makes the coffee as well or how that works. No one was in the coffee shop area when we were in the store.

Dybowski Authentic Polish Market – Menu with Prices – 1325 Hudson Ave, Rochester

Amazing authentic European food and goods are sold at this small quaint delicatessen. Henry, the owner, is friendly, kind and always there with a smile and a helping hand- as is all of the staff members. Amazing deli meats, cheeses and sausages. The Pierogi’s are made in Chicago and Henry makes at least one to two trips each money to get them from what I believe to be one of the best pierogi companies in the USA. Try them- it’s a must! My favorites are still the Potato and Cheddar, but there are several different types to choose from, including dessert pierogi’s. Prices are reasonable and it’s nice to support a wonderful local store.

Caeli’s Sweets, Eats and Bar – Menu with Prices – 726 W Sheridan Ave, Oklahoma City

Excellent service, fresh food and delicious baked goods. The staff are always kind and appreciative towards the patrons. The custom-made poke bowls have fresh ingredients and make for great healthy lunch options. The sandwiches are also very good and I always try the different baked goods that they have each day. You have to keep in mind that this is a family-owned business so not all of the baked goods are available every day, and when they run out, they run out so get them while you can! I appreciate the kind attitudes and fresh food. It’s these kind of businesses that I choose to support because they care about their patrons and take pride in their quality ingredients and service.

Tres Leches Bakery and Cafe – Menu with Prices – 6903 St Andrews Rd, Columbia

This is one of those special bakeries that just make a Tres Leches cake the way it should be made! Don’t the let the simple look of this bakery fool you, it is loaded with very delicious Latin/Hispanic baked goods. My wife got me a Tres Leches cake for my birthday here and I was absolutely WOWed by how delicious it was! It wasn’t too moist or too dry, and the whip cream frosting was not over sweetened! Also, the strawberries used in my cake we’re fresh and added a little tang to what was an already awesome cake! The people here are very friendly and speak both English and Spanish. I have tried some other baked goods here like cupcakes and their Pan Dulce, and they all taste like they were made with high quality ingredients! Just FYI, they do sell Tres Leches cakes by the slice as well… You know, just in case you’re like me and you’re watching your sugar intake. Do your self a favor and order yourself a slice of cake and some coffee here… You deserve to know what the meaning of “yummy” actually means! The quality of the pasteries sold here, and the amazing service, get this little bakery 5 out of 5 stars! It’s a hidden gem that needs more exposure!

The Sweet Shoppe At Porters Neck – Menu with Prices – 134 Beawood Rd #9104, Wilmington

It’s not often you can go to a bakery and get truly home-baked goods that remind you of your mom’s cooking. The Sweet Shoppe does that and more. I spoke to the owner, Kim, to order a birthday cake for my aunt who is in a nursing facility, and Kim could not have been more accommodating or helpful in picking out a giant cookie for my aunt. The cookie was outstandingly delicious, with a wonderful blend of flavor and sweetness, saying Happy Birthday Aunt Frances on it. Nothing was overwhelming and everything was baked to perfection. She customized the cookie and also customized a bunch of individual cookies. All her baked goods are beautiful, appetizing, and scrumptious. The customer service was such a pleasant experience, I would never consider going anywhere else for any occasion.

Ajeen and Juice Cafe – Menu with Prices – 221 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville

After a great workout I decided to stop & try a smoothie. It’s so convenient being right in the Winston YMCA lobby. The staff were very friendly & helpful. As I was waiting I was talking to another customer who is addicted to their cheese pies. It looks delicious. They offer smoothies, super smoothies, juices, juice shots, salads & other baked goods like muffins & cheese pies. All their breads are baked fresh at their San Marco location. I tried the Bruce Lee a green smoothie with pineapple, kale, yogurt, ginger, vanilla & banana. They don’t add sugar so you taste all the ingredients. The taste is awesome. A 16 oz is $6.95. They made it while I waited, not long. I stopped by after 1pm and it was not very busy. I plan to return and try their salads & cheese pies. Hope they get the support to continue offering these tasty & healthy goodies.

La Puf Sweets Bakery & Candy – Menu with Prices – 1003 Shroyer Rd, Dayton

Let’s just say, WOW!! This cupcake store is so adorable! I went in to check it out for the first time and was amazed at how beautiful it is, and dont get me started on how helpful and amazing the staff are. I bought a dozen of their beautiful cupcakes, 6 vanilla bean and 6 Buckeye cupcakes. Let me tell you they were so moist and delicious. They were made with the owners homeaid buttercream (my favorite) I will definitely give La Puf Sweets Bakery & Candy ALL my future business and will refer them to everyone I know. My family and I are looking forward to having our little girls birthday party there this June! Thanks again La Puf staff, you all are so helpful and nice. Keep making those super delicious sweets! Until next time….

Starting From Scratch Café – Menu with Prices – 400 Aviation Blvd #300, Santa Rosa

I work in the business park and use this cafe for catering frequently (so nice that they deliver for meetings). I’ve also been known to frequent it on a midday walk around the business park. Their iced coffee is an excellent and refreshing midday pick-me-up, and they have numerous gluten free and vegan options, which are much appreciated–and I’m not talking freezer burned Udi’s here–they make their gluten free bread FROM SCRATCH, and their (also homemade) gluten free AND vegan veggie burgers are fantastic, as is the mushroom sandwich (hold the cheese, caramelize the onions). The prices are reflective of the fact that the goods are both made in-house and largely sourced from local producers and farmers. So nice to have a delicious and healthful option so close to my office (and they have NEVER been annoyed with me asking for modifications to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergies and flexitarianism). Plus when you go here, you are supporting a locally-owned business, and 9.9/10 times you’ll probably have one of the owners take your order. Biggest complaint is that their gf baked goods (minus the killer bread, which I’ve never experienced being sold out) are usually sold out by lunchtime, but goes without saying. 10/10 would recommend.

Keto Candy Girl Menu with Prices 5536 E La Palma Ave, Anaheim

So my husband and I decided to go for a ride and pick a new place to try. The pictures looked really good and we like Keto recipes so we thought let’s try it. Management was very kind, personable, and welcoming. The baked goods were all sold out and the manager said she sells out before 2pm normally. Being that we work during the day I was bummed cuz how am I gonna try it. Anyways she told me how she makes them so I could try it but I’m a terrrible baker and it would’ve cost me $26 to make it myself so I was like pass! Haha so we got the cookie dough ice cream, some sour gummies, and milk chocolate covered almonds. With the discount for checking in on yelp for those 3 items it came out to $19. The ice cream was so so. For a keto dessert I expected more. The almonds were ok, didn’t have much coating of the chocolate. My favorite was the gummies and I’m not even a gummy fan. If I ever have a day off I would come back just to try the baked goods to see if that changes my mind. I wanted to give 3 stars but since management was cool I gave 4.
