Jimmy is not only an expert at pizza and stroms but he is by far one heck of a man. Great person. Great food. Wonderful place to visit. For anyone passing through Evansville you have to stop by it’s delicious! And what’s even better for 14 bucks you get two full stroms that’s not skimpy he pours his heart and soul into his food. Keep up the great work Jimmy. You will always have my service!

Runza® Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 3945 Randolph St, Lincoln

Did you know that a double cheese burger at Runza has fewer calories than a Jimmy John’s sandwich? Heck an entire meal at Runza is fewer calories than a Jimmy John’s sandwich. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t pretend that Runza is healthy, but it isn’t the worst thing to put in your mouth. This is obviously glowing praise….

Top That Grille II Menu with Prices 1371 Bessemer Rd, Birmingham

This is the hood. I am always down for where the locals like to eat. This is that place, the service is friendly freshly prepared soul food at its finest. You get a meal and a variety of kool-aid to wash it down. 30 bucks I ordered a 10pc lemon Pepper, chef salad, lg. banana puddin and a Hulk (boo-berry/lemon kool-aid). The wings are dry rub w/ fries they were flavorful and well done. The salad was made with shredded iceberg lettuce, and typical chef toppings. *rant* iceberg has NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE!!! Please stop using it or at least incorporate some natural dark greens into your salads. *end rant* I say that to say I could just eat some deli meat for 9 bucks. There is a hot line meat and two sides for a fair 9. But hey it’s a neighborhood fave. I would go again.

Jimmy’s New York Pizzeria – Menu with Prices – 7123 S 92nd E Ave, Tulsa

I have to admit, that growing up in northern New Jersey I’m a bit of a pizza snob, so when my son-in-law suggested we try Jimmy’s New York Pizza I was cautiously pessimistic. The last place he took us for pizza didn’t turn out very well. But let me tell you Jimmy’s is worth the trip! It’s a little off the beaten path, behind the Quik Trip, so keep your eyes peeled. I knew Jimmy and I were going to hit it off right away when I told him I was from “Jersey ” and he said to me “Jersey, get out” with a smile on his face. I like a little east coast tude. Jimmy, his daughter and the entire staff were friendly attentive and made the trip. (Although he didn’t have a cork screw for our wine) we got a large cheese pizza and a large pizza with sausage and meatballs. Both were excellent. Then we topped the dinner off with a few cannolis, also very good. As you eat you are surrounded by pictures of New York and listening to the Chairman of the Board, Sinatra. I was humbled and appreciative of his wall remembering 9-11, which we spoke about and I’ll be sending him some new pictures soon. So if you’re looking for some great pizza and a little slice of New York in the Tulsa area, give Jimmy’s a try . He even has a new cork screw for your wine! Definitely going back on my next trip to visit our daughter and family.

Archie’s New York Deli Menu with Prices 101 Arch St, Boston

Archie’s is the heart and soul of Boston. Seriously- in a city filled with average food and worse service, Archie’s is a beacon of light in the form of a yahoo sausage. They’re super quick and somehow manage to make my order right every single time (except once I got bacon instead of sausage but honestly I think I subconsciously needed the bacon that day so no worries there). I’m sad my office is moving and that they aren’t open on weekends but I will always have a little sandwich shaped hole in my heart from Archie’s.

Sabbatical Spirits – Menu with Prices – 606 Rayford Rd Suite 642, Spring

What a fantastic little whiskey “speakeasy”-esque find! This place is connected to Hop Scholar (just follow the signs) and it a literal whiskey/whisky mecca! They have an entire apothecarian wall (complete w/ladder) to satisfy any whiskey novice to enthusiast! Their selection is just epic and borders on biblical…I discovered so many new and delightful bourbons alone! They offer half and full pours and their pricing is very competitive, especially compared to other whiskey bars I’ve frequented around the state and country. The staff here is beyond excellent! Knowledgeable, engaging, and can chat about everything and anything whiskey. They are thoroughly versed in all of their offerings and can make excellent selections based on tastes and interests. They not only do neat pours (they also have droppers to cut your pours accordingly, as any whiskey bar worth their ware should), but make an excellent assortment of cocktails. I was so impressed and instantly in love with this place! I cannot wait to come back next time I am in town!

Szechwan Chinese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 669 N Green River Rd, Evansville

This must be my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Midwest. I come down to Evansville regularly to visit and always stop by Jimmy’s for lunch. You cannot beat the lunch specials with fresh veggies and meat so tasty. The restaurant is unassuming in a strip mall. The main dining room is Asian inspired with white table clothes and comfortable. The staff and Jimmy are so friendly – always cheerful and welcoming. They make a point of remembering the favorites of the regulars. They check on you regularly to make sure your order is fine and keep drinks full. Lunch specials start at $6.50 and include soup, crab Rangoon, egg roll, entree and choice of rice. So much food! You never leave hungry and often take food home. I love the Kung Pao chicken or shrimp. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. I also like the fried eggplant dish. The hot and sour soup is smooth and flavorful. I’ll keep coming back.

Cafe on the Park – Lexington Downtown Hotel – Menu with Prices – 369 W Vine St, Lexington

If you work in downtown lex and haven’t been to Pasta bar … then you. haven’t. lived. Here’s the deal: Every thursday for lunch, the Radisson, does a pasta buffet and it is literally as good as it gets. it’s about 9 bucks. You get a skillet, fill it with as much veggies and proteins as you like, get your choice of pasta, sauce, and extras (pesto, spices, garlic, etc). You also get a salad bar (Use it, that means more pasta bar leftovers for dinner). This is a big rush for them, so don’t waste the 2 bucks on a soda, you’ll barely see your waiter (since they don’t have to bring you food). After a drink and tip the whole thing will set you back around 12 bucks, but it’s well worth it. It’s a great setting for meeting up with friends and getting away from campus (go cats!) or getting away from work. I recommend, chicken, pepperoni, white sauce with penne pasta, garlic, and cajun spices. SO good. Also, if you are trying to eat light, you can skip the sauce and have your pasta prepared with olive oil. So if you are in Lexington and it’s Thursday, GO, because I can’t =(

Falls Village Wine & Beer – Menu with Prices – 6675 Falls of Neuse Rd #131, Raleigh

When I’m in north Raleigh, I always make sure to stop by Falls Village Wine & Beer for a quick beer or three… or a glass of wine on tap. It’s tucked away behind TJMax & HomeGoods off Falls of Neuse, but don’t let the hidden location deter you – it’s a hidden gem! There’s tons of parking out front, and the inside space is so open & airy. Love the gender neutral bathrooms too, so efficient. OH, and omg I love the wood bartop & glasses they use – you can tell the owner, Jim, put a ton of heart & soul into this place ? the customer service is top notch! You can also bring your own food in or get it delivered, and I think they have food trucks on weekends too. They’ve always got 12-16 rotating craft beer taps, many of them local but others from across the country – and some rare beers too! They’ve got a great selection of beer to go also… and some great bombers for bottle shares. Their wine program is awesome! They’ve got 6-8 wines on tap & the selection is always great! I love their wine tastings too. They always have SUCH a great wine selection – some very affordable, while others are great aged selections I don’t often find in the triangle. I like the way it’s laid out & easy to find everything. All in all, Falls Village Wine & Beer should be at the top of your North Raleigh drinking spots… whether for a work event, solo for a drink with a fun bartender, or takeout wine or beer – FVWB has all you need!

Outpost Bar – Menu with Prices – 6301 S 36th St, Omaha

Jimmy is a good guy. He slaves over a fryer for taco Wednesday’s. Has a pool table and shuffle board table. This is a bar filled with usuals. Popcorn is always on tap. You should stop by some day.

Jimmy’s Water Ice – Menu with Prices – 2251 S Front St, Philadelphia

Owned by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Somerville, Jimmy Carter, and Jimmy Kneecricket. The kids working here are really nice. Their infamous chocolate flavour does nothing for me, but it’s interesting and worth a try. The lemon is good, whereas the cherry is good but disappointingly has no chunks of cherry in it. The water ice here is super cold (lol, I sound stupid, but some ice is less cold than others, or something, sort of). It has a lush consistency. It’s the cheapest of all the famous and underrated water ice shops in South Philly. They all taste slightly different, and this one seems to be the sweetest in terms of sugar content. Water Ice is like the Roast Pork Sandwich and the infamous Cheesesteak. Only unlike the Cheesesteak (and much like the Pork), it’s absolutely delicious. I have no idea why, of these 3 claims to food fame, it’s the bland, boring one (Cheesesteak) that became internationally famous. Forget it. Come here and get yourself a water ice or a Gelati, and you’ll see what I mean. Water Ice has been exported around the country now by Rita’s, which is from Philly, but it’s still not as famous as it should be. In South Philly you have an assortment of tiny little family-owned water ice shops, which over time will go out of business if we are unlucky. I believe Italiano’s already has, or will be soon. Gelati mixes layers of frozen custard with water ice. It sounds like it might not work but it absolutely does. It’s wonderful. Rita’s does a version using soft serve and it works really well, but since you can get that at Rita’s, skip that option, and do the Pop’s original, the unique specialty for South Philly Water Ice shops… the Gelati using hand-dipped hard ice cream. Vanilla, specifically.

Charlie Graingers Myrtle Beach – Menu with Prices – 201 Fresh Dr Suite A, Myrtle Beach

Ok, let’s start by saying that their sandwiches are way, way, way overpriced. I got the Wilmington, which was served lukewarm and came with nothing else…no fries, no chips, just 1 measly pickled okra. That’s it. 10 bucks plus tax. Yep…10 plus tax. Even if it had been served piping hot, and believe me it was lukewarm at best, I doubt I’d pay 5 bucks for it. If I’m paying 10 bucks, it better darn well be super large and very, very warm. It wasn’t either. Think Jersey Mike’s but even smaller in size and even more expensive. Place was dead on a Friday night after work with only 1 other couple dining. They do take Attractions coupon books coupons, so there’s that. Even so, I seriously doubt I’ll ever go back simply based on value and temperature of my sandwich.

Jimmy Jacks – Menu with Prices – 13428 Hwy 99, Everett

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning. We are relatively new to the area and are exploring eateries. We are having a hard time finding an excellent breakfast place. Jimmy Jack’s was good, but still just average. All of the breakfast places around this area sever the same darn thing.We did have one big disappointment with Jimmy Jack’s – We ordered the Corned Beef Hash. It was clearly canned has and still have the shape of the can. It was not good.The best positive was the service. Our waitress was very kind and did a good job.Other than that – just average. Would I go back? Yes, but I would not exactly say I will race back. Just if I’m in the area…Come on South Snohomish County – Let’s get a GREAT Breakfast place.
