Urban Dance Studios Menu with Prices 618 E Boise Ave, Boise

I recommend Bouquet Flower Shop to anyone who is in need of floral arrangements. We have gotten flowers for our daughter’s graduation, prom, various birthdays and Boss’s Day, etc. They have always been willing to work with in whatever budget we have given them and we have never been disappointed. I was prompted to write this review when one of my co-workers was given a birthday bouquet from a client. Every single one of my clients today asked where the arrangement was from (I’m close to the front of the salon where it was on display), and I got to brag on Bouquet Flower Shop again. I love this place and I (very obviously) recommend it. ?

Gold Leaf Cafe Menu with Prices 1947 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Berkeley

Oh Gold Leaf, I think I’ve officially found my favorite cafe in Berkeley! The moment you step in, you’ll immediately notice all the unique and adorable decor. I mean holy moly, it was the closest thing I’ve felt to love at first sight. Everything from the gold accents against the greenery, to the spiral staircase lined with fairy lights is just beyond perfect. Even the straws they use are gold paper straws! Basically, I’m just trynna say that I hellllllla vibe with the aesthetic here! Furthermore, the owner of the cafe clearly put so much thought and love into the little details that bring back the traditional charm of cafes. There is no wifi, but there are a ton of books you can read. And if you choose to purchase a book, the proceeds will go towards charity. I can’t even be mad about no wifi anymore–if you’re a coffee & books type of person, this should be your go-to place to disconnect. Now, enough about the decor … this place isn’t all for looks & show–the coffee is amazing! I always order their oat milk lattes, which tend to run around $5 a pop. Pricey, sure. But I’m so darn excited every time I’m here that I don’t even care. And if you’re not a coffee drinker, they have a few options for tea and their hot chocolate is to die for. Finally, I’ve encountered numerous baristas and they have all been incredibly personable and kind people. Never had a dull conversation. And though the physical space of the cafe is small, there is a very home-y and local feel. If you’re ever in Berkeley, please do yourself the favor of treating yourself to something here at Gold Leaf! And if caffeinated beverages aren’t your thing, they also carry delicious baked goods from Firebrand!

Stem Events And Lunch – Menu with Prices – 1513 Line Ave #115, Shreveport

Literally, if you come here you obviously hate yourself. The brunch was the worst brunch I’ve had in my many years of living. First, the waiters did not even know their own menu very well. This is sad because one would expect for you to know the menu at the establishment at which you work. As a means of reassuring us, she exclaims “I promise it’s not my first day.” Well, sweetie it must be your second. Of the three of us, one of us was served our entree completely cold. They took it back and served it lukewarm the second time and says “It’s hot.” Well sweetie, no it wasn’t. The served one came to find out that the steak on his potatoes was 90% gristle and the chef says “Oh, this is the steak that we served to everyone.” Well sweetie, I would hope not. The potatoes were not very good as they were very black and rubbery and tasteless if you don’t like to call burnt a taste as these were sent directly from the Irish potato famine. The waitress says to us “It seems like you’re not having a good experience” after she served lukewarm potatoes and personally almost wasted salsa on me. The chef came out and decided that he would ask us how our experience was. I decided not to respond as I would’ve said “Bloody awful.” The one of us served the cold potatoes was frank and said “There’s a lot of gristle in the steak.” The chef convinced him to try something else on the menu. He decided the waffle. “Would you like berries on top?” turned out to mean one strawberry barely diced. Since the waitress noticed that weren’t having a good experience, and since we’d gone through multiple attempts at having our food corrected, I thought she wouldn’t have had the audacity to actually give us the bills thus providing the confirmation that I needed to Yelp this experience. If you love yourself and your loved ones, beware. However, the mimosas seem to be the best thing they have to offer. As it seems it should be hard to mess up champagne and orange juice–one can only hope that some things really are impossible. I am willing to quit my job and sit outside the restaurant admonishing people to not eat there. I hope this helps someone truly inquiring about this place.

Sorella Gelateria – Menu with Prices – 219 N Limestone, Lexington

Over the summer, I read a book called “Love & Gelato.” It’s about a teenager who lost her mother to cancer and went to live with her unknown father in Italy — there’s a summer romance mixed in there. (I recommend this quick read if that’s your thing, otherwise, feel free to ignore the book recommendation.) Well. After I read the book, I realized it had been a good ten years or so since I last had some gelato — the one and only time I’ve ever had *real* gelato before. And. I absolutely had to get some gelato in my stomach sometime soon. Now, I’ve never had gelato in Italy, but know there is a lot of ‘gelato’ out there (I’ve eaten in the ten years since) that isn’t really gelato at all. To find something real, or as close to real as possible, is kind of hard. Did a quick search online and…. Lexington has a place with gelato!! Later that week, after a visit to the Arboretum, I dragged my husband and toddler to Sorella to cool us off, satisfy my gelato craving, and introduce my husband to gelato. Sorella is a beautiful shop in a fun neighborhood of Lexington. We spoke with the store owner and she mentioned that she (or was it her sister?) learned how to make gelato in Italy and brought that knowledge to this gelateria. Delighted, I sampled a variety of amazing flavors before deciding to get the Forest Berry gelato to share with my son, who was going through a berry phrase at the time. My husband picked a chocolate flavor. Friends, this is *REAL* gelato. The flavorful, light & fluffy, delicious gelato that sets it apart from ice cream and similar desserts. And my son, who didn’t like ice cream (I know, right!?) devoured his portion of my berry gelato. My husband, however, who is set in his ways and loves his chocolate ice cream, liked it but was a bit unsure about the gelato texture. Don’t worry… I’ll work with him on that. LOVE, love, love Sorella!!

Baron Patisserie – Menu with Prices – 16500 SE 15th St #140, Vancouver

Oh my goodness!!! I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally had the chance to stop. I read many good reviews about the ham and cheese croissant, so I went ahead and ordered one. Sooooo good!! I literally ate it the moment I got in the car. Even at room temp I loved it! I also got the cinnamon croissant pull apart bread/muffin looking thing lol. Also amazing! Note**Do not go here when you are super hungry lol. I ate both items in one sitting. Not the best idea….but they tasted so good while devouring them lol I let my four year old pick something as a special treat. She chose the beautiful chocolate mousse in the chocolate cup. I’m not a chocolate mousse fan, but she loved it! The whipped cream was to die for…I could have just eaten a cup of it on its own. Extremely friendly and personable which is always big points in my book! I will definitely be back!

Ramonâ??s Tailor Artist Salon – Menu with Prices – 628 Jones St, San Francisco

Best kept little secret next to Jones, another best kept little secret of a bar (my second favorite in the city, because of its name), in the middle of tenderloin. I hosted a get together at the Armory Club and my gf went to it, and then came to Jones with me, and she said, “And to think you could have had it at Jones.” And to think, I could also have popped on by at Ramon’s, just next door… Sick and tired of the usual suspects and wanted something that reminds you the city is a city and not the burbs? Come here. This is not Chelsea, but this could be the Meat Packing district in the making, just like Mission was like the West Village once was. You will notice my analogies will always be New York. San Francisco is a gentler version of New York City. It is not my first love like New York but it is the longest love affair I have ever had to-date. And if you know me, I value ever lasting love affairs. Others enjoy the thrills of discovering something / someone new, I dwell on and flourish in affairs across decades. As a wise GF once said, they don’t make new “old friends” any more. A small gallery like this one serves as a reminder why I love this little city so much, even with an older lover, you can still discover plenty of new. This little gem reminds us, the city is in transition, and romance is not dead, not even in Tenderloin. Go to it: Heavenly Walk exhibit is on. Ask the artist about her journey in this besieged neighborhood, now perhaps the last remaining neighborhood that is experiencing gentrification, ever so slowly. You must.

Coffee Guy Cafe – Menu with Prices – 6700 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola

The Coffee Guy Cafe is AMAZING!!! Large, open atmosphere with AWESOME baristas and customer service!!! As a tea drinker, for years I was limited to Starbucks for my varied tea drinks. No longer! The Coffee Guy is closer to my business, and I can just walk over for goodies! The CHAI tea latte, LONDON FOG latte (with Earl Grey or Jasmine Green), and the MATCHA GREEN tea latte, all with soymilk, of course, are my faves!!! The oatmeal, soups (especially the chicken and wild rice), and chicken salad (better than Fresh Market’s) are delish!! I want to try the mini Belgian waffles!!! They look and smell AMAZING!! The chocolate, espresso cake is a super charged, appeased chocolate-craving, delight!!! Even though I’m not a coffee drinker, I LOVE coffee foods, and that cake does not disappoint!!! Gennessi is super sweet, amazing, and always remembers my preferences!!! Blake is the same and so full of personality, and super, super sweet! Everyone here is AWESOME, but bad for me, that I don’t remember their names! Luckily, she is here, while I’m writing this review!! Otherwise, others would be mentioned by name! I ALWAYS look forward to seeing the friendly baristas!!!

Boney Fingers BBQ – Menu with Prices – 401 Euclid Ave #54, Cleveland

So our hotel offered a free breakfast that we ended up missing. It’s vacation folks, the point is to sleep in lol. So here we are trying to find a place for breakfast that is good food, but not going to eat up lots of time because we wanted to do the Hall of Fame & a couple other things. I checked google maps & searched ‘where locals eat’ & up pops boney fingers saying they have all day breakfast. It was a little hard to find on google maps because we were looking for a store front or a sign. Turns out it’s actually IN the Arcade on the lower level. Not complaining at all though because the food was so amazing!! I got an omlet with swiss cheese & mushrooms, hash browns & toast with a juice. My boyfriend got the same but he added brisket. The first bite was epic. I figured it was cause we were hungry, but seriously every single bite was amazing. The texture of the omlet was beautiful, it literally was a melt in your mouth kind of moment. We met the owner & he was a super friendly guy. He talked with us during one of the few moments where it wasn’t busy & my boyfriend is a realtor who told him we could use some great food like this in our area. I really hope he gives it some thought on expanding cause this food is just too good & needs to be in more places. I hate that i didn’t get any pictures though. However if you are ever in Cleveland make sure you go here!!

Sleek Chocolatier | Cafe – Menu with Prices – 8715 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring

A complete chocolate lover’s dream (as a matter of fact, I did dream about it afterwards. I was on a complete chocolate high for the next couple days… itching to go back. I’ve never been anywhere that was just about chocolate and was set up as a cafe. They have a beautiful assortment of designer chocolate candies and various chocolate fountain displays as well as chocolate shawarma. The thing I love most is that it reminded me of an old ice creamery from my childhood, except it featured chocolates. They serve a bunch of different crepes both sweet and savory, waffles, items for breakfast (before 11 a.m.), specialty coffee drinks & tea & ice cream. We opted for sweet crepes (we missed breakfast). My daughter got the fruit crepe and I got the triple chocolate. The actual crepe was very delicate without being crispy or hard. It was a perfect crepe. And talk about chocolate overload, my chocolate craving was satisfied for the month. I’d thought about ordering orange juice along side my but instead I chose water which was a smart in hindsight. The service was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. You have gold plated silverware (not plastic ware) for dining in. The only drawback is that the place echoes which makes it hard to converse if other people are talking and it’s slightly chilly (but it was for the sake of the chocolates – so I didn’t mind). It is definitely a fun, unique experience that I plan to have again.

926 Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 926 W Tharpe St, Tallahassee

I went for the drag show and absolutely enjoyed myself. The drinks were good and very reasonably priced. Parking wasn’t impossible and the cover charge to get in was pretty fair as well. It’s definitely a tight space inside, but probably one of the cleanest bar spaces you’ll find in Tallahassee that isn’t $10 a drink and up. The best part though is the entertainment. We went for a drag show and it was wonderful. It started relatively late- midnight- and only lasted about 20 minutes. So if you’re like me- exhausted but still want to have a good time- it’s definitely do-able. The ladies are such amazing performers and ABSOLUTELY beautiful. I just had to go up to each performer and tell her how beautiful and amazing I thought they were and they were all so kind and hugged me and it was a wonderful moment.

Epic Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1201 Front Ave suite e, Columbus

During my very first visit to Columbus, I wanted to make it memorable. I researched some restaurants online and found Jamie’s Epic restaurant! I called and made a reservation for 5:00pm the same day. I ordered from the Pre-Fixe Menu which included three courses. I started with the Compressed Watermelon Salad, followed by the Braised Beef Short Ribs and topped everything off with their Chocolate Opera Cake. The attention to detail that went into everything was obvious. They care about the quality of their food and did an outstanding job putting it all together. Of note, I also ordered their Preface Sampler which included Bacon and Eggs with Ginger Ketchup, Tempura Gouda, Shrimp Lumpia, and the Tuna Tacos. My mouth is watering right now as I remember how amazing all of it was. Oh, they also provided delicious baguettes with various butters and an olive tapenade. My favorite with all of this was their Tomato Jam…It was AMAZING. From my experience making a reservation, to the service I received in the dining room, to the quality and presentation of the food, I had a marvelous experience. They even invited me on a kitchen tour! Which I totally did and loved. Epic was truly epic. They deserve the 4 diamond rating that they have with AAA. Great work Jamie and all of your staff. Thank you for making my first experience in Columbus memorable. I recommend putting this restaurant on your bucket list!
